Great pub in a great location. Went here during seven sisters hike. The place was very busy and service was quick. Most of the food items were well done; unfortunately our chips were undercooked, and we had a difficult time getting their attention to get a replacement. They did replace, but only after we were done with our meal. We will definitely visit again.

We visited The Beachy Head on a recommendation from a couple that rate it highly enough to dine here on Christmas Day every year - so figured it must have something about it. We were so pleased we gave it a go! If you're going for a Sunday roast they seem popular, so worth booking ahead - like we did - via the website, guaranteeing a table when you want it. It's no exageration when I say we had the best roast dinners we've enjoyed in quite some time - which is impressive considering the number of roast dinners they were producing during our visit! The pork belly was perfect, and there were so many flavours to enjoy on the plate (I don't think I've ever had roasted apple before). That in itself was great, but the views from out table looking back towards Birling Gap were stunning, while the ambience in the place made for a lively, but cosy way to warm up from a bracing walk. Excellent service, too, from our server who was communicative and attentive throughout. Sometimes you get a great tip-off about somewhere to visit. Trust me, this is definitely one of them...

Excellent views with dog walking areas nr restaurant. Beachy Head allows dogs inside so proved very popular and busy. Bit of a wait for food due to it being a Saturday. Staff friendly and efficient. Food excellent and reasonable priced. Would recommend

Have been here a couple of times for Sunday roast, sat outside in the summer and it was amazing with that view.. the food is great plenty to eat. Have had some problems with service and a couple members if staff could do with hospitality attitude adjustment, but most are very helpful and service with a smile...

Eastbourne Pier is a must-visit destination if you're in the area! The pier beautifully blends Victorian charm with modern-day attractions, offering stunning views of the sea and coastline, especially during sunset. What really impressed me was the variety of food options available right on the pier. From traditional fish and chips to sweet treats and ice creams, there's something for everyone — and the best part? There are several halal food options available too, which is fantastic for Muslim visitors. I came across a few spots serving halal burgers, grilled chicken, and even doner kebabs — all clearly labeled and freshly prepared. The food was not only delicious but also reasonably priced, making it a great place for a casual meal with a view. There are also plenty of seating areas to enjoy your food while soaking in the sea breeze. In addition to the food, the pier has amusement arcades, souvenir shops, and a lovely tea room, making it a great place to spend a few hours with family or friends. Everything was clean and well-maintained, and the staff at the food outlets were friendly and helpful. All in all, Eastbourne Pier offers a complete experience — scenic views, great food (with halal options!), and fun activities. Highly recommended for families, couples, and solo travelers alike.

Very nice place for a stroll and some family time. Went for the airbourne show this year and it is definitely a must see every year. Personally, I enjoy going to Eastbourne pier on a regular basis as it is fun and parking is not difficult. The seaside is lovely and there's plenty of places to have a snack.

Lovely four day break, nice hotel, nice clean town, pleasant local people. Great shops, great pier ,well looked after, with plenty of seating. Nice bar and fish and chips while listening to live music. Worth a visit.

Beautiful Victorian pier with cafés and arcades. A lovely place for a stroll and to enjoy the sea views. Can feel a bit touristy, but still very charming.

A decent place to go, especially during the summer. The pier has a good selection of places to eat and the pub at the end of the pier is good and has live music, just watch out for those seagulls! There is a live music venue, but you will need tickets for it. The Seven Sisters is definitely worth a hike if that’s your kind of thing.

We started our hike at Birling Gap, and honestly, it was the perfect launch point. From here, you're thrown right into the most iconic section of the Seven Sisters cliffs. Towering chalk cliffs dropped straight into the sea, and the sound of waves crashing below followed me for most of the walk. The wind was wild but that just made it feel more dramatic. The trail is a mix of steep ups and downs but totally worth it for the views. It’s not an easy walk, but it’s manageable, especially if you take your time. Beachy Head was nice, standing near the edge of the cliffs, with the lighthouse far below, is one of those moments that stays with you. It feels like you’re on the edge of the world. We ended our walk in Eastbourne, tired but completely content. There’s something special about finishing a hike right at the edge of a town: stepping off the trail and straight into a café for a coffee and a bite to eat. The total distance was ~5 miles from Birling Gap to the pier in Eastbourne.

A walk that requires some effort, but is well and truly worth it for the views, wildlife and flora you'll see along the way. Parking is fairly plentiful at Birling Gap and is free to those with National Trust membership (around £5 otherwise). There's also a cafe and toilet by the car park - the only ones we found on the route we took across the Seven Sisters to Cuckmere Haven and back, so you might want to use them before heading off! There are also relatively few benches along the way, so if you need to rest frequently, you'll need to take that into account. The walk itself is breathtakingly beautiful with so many places to just stop and admire the sheer scale of the cliffs, enjoy the wildflowers growing in the chalky soil, see the ponies near Cuckmere Haven and spot the various butterflies and birds going about their business. This was a low-cost but memorable afternoon out that will live long in the memory.

Great place for a summer visit , UK winters are far too cold and windy to enjoy the outdoors, but summer here is mild and pleasant. Walking the full Seven Sisters route takes about 3–4 hours. I went to Birling Gap, which has parking, toilets, and a café. The coastal grassland is wide open with hardly any facilities, so bring plenty of water, snacks, and a windbreaker, it stays windy even in summer. There’s a small ice cream shop on the way, but no public toilet. The cliffs are breathtaking from a distance, and the view from the edge, facing the open sea, is unforgettable. Heading down to the pebble beach gives you a completely different, striking perspective. Some people swim and sunbathe, but the water is very cold. The cliff edge is only roped off, and many still cross it for photos, safety is a must. A stunning spot that shows the power and beauty of nature. Absolutely worth the visit.

Legendary & Iconic Beach We came to Birling Gap as it is an iconic site to visit in the UK. It is a beautiful place & particularly nice to visit for families. The views are incredible & stunning. You can see the sea and the chalk cliffs and here the sound of the crashing waves. Access is not so easy but it is well worth it. At the end there is a parking (paid) but no other option. It is also a pebbly beach but that was not really an issue for us. Birling Gap is a great day out, well worth a visit and the perfect spot to come and see the seven sisters.

Enjoyed this visit with an older relative. Free onsite parking for NT members, otherwise roadside or use the coast bus. A good cafe/restaurant with a wide menu including some Gluten free options. Interesting small museum of the area in that building, also an NT shop. Steep stairs down to the beach, although we headed up the cliff walk to the lighthouse and the Seven Sisters. Great views over the coastline and sea. Highly recommended.

Last week, I visited this stunning sea beach with my family. The bank Holiday Monday and hot sunny weather brought lots of tourists in this area to enjoy a great day out and we did enjoy a lot. The National Trust nicely managed the site and we easily found a parking space near the visiting centre. You have to buy parking tickets and display (blue badge holders can park their car free). It is also connected by local transport. As we drove from London, after reaching Birling gap, we wanted to go to the toilet where at least 50 people were queuing, mostly women. After waiting for a few minutes in the queue, I found out that you can easily go for men's toilet without queuing. But I felt very bad for all the women waiting there. So, it would be great to have some extra toilets for women. There were no other alternatives other than National Trust managed toilet. The stony beach itself was beautiful (you need to take lots of stairs to get down to the sea level & it is not suitable for wheelchair users) and we walked along the cliffs. However, we couldn't proceed to the far right side of the beach as we found two men and one woman were lying down fully nude and enjoying sunshine. It was very embarrassing for us becausewe didn't expecting this in a family beach managed by National Trust. So, we return to the visiting centre, eat some snacks from there and walked over the cliffs instead. Finally, I must acknowledge that this is a very pleasant place tovisit (except suddenly looking at some nude people) and I would recommend everyone visiting this place.

Wonderful place to visit for walks pubs restaurants and shopping

Beautiful atmosphere, lovely architecture, great spots for coffee, nice walks. Worth walking all the way around but allow an hour or two for it. There are little seals on the beach that can sometimes be spotted when the tide is out. Worth taking the boat tour that takes off in front of Pablos restaurant in warmer weather. The guides are brilliant and funny, interesting info along the way about the harbour history and happenings. The restaurants and coffee shops cater to all tastes and moods. Most of them have outside seating, which allows for watching the boats come by. Check out the blue bridge, which is lifted when bigger boats pass through. I believe the bridge connects the North and South harbours. It does take a while for it to come back down but if you are not in a hurry, it’s relaxing to watch. The locks are also interesting to watch as boats are coming and going. There is a lot to see and explore, it’s a great place to visit!

A very nice place to visit, relax, and go for a walk. Is clean and feels very secure. There's a variety of restaurants and cafés to sit down and enjoy although most of them not to a very high standard but for a casual moment will do it.

This is quite a walk from the centre of Eastbourne but on a nice day, a very pleasant one. There are a number of hi stoic attractions along the way including the old Redoubt Fort and the Martello Tower 66 and the entrance has an interesting double entry lock system. The marina is attractive and has a number of restaurants which should cater for every taste. We enjoyed our visit and and watching the gentle passage of time from a waterfront bar.

This road Harbour Quay has a barrier on ans a security guard. We were stopped at the barrier and advised we had come the wrong way and the guard gave us directions to the right car park. He was polite, civil and pleasant and a credit to his employer. We turned around and followed his instructions to where we should have gone and got parked up properly, upon exiting the carpark heading into the harbour area he waved to us which we thought was really good. He deserves a medal. Very impressed Visited Sunday 13th of July around 1130 in the morning.

Absolutely lovely. I love looking at all the boats, imagining where they've been, where they're going ... The only downside is that we can't get up close and personal anymore, so conversation with these interesting voyagers is impossible. A great selection of restaurants surrounds the Marina, and the ambience was convivial despite CoVid 19 lurking in the ether 💞

We saw 2 shows recently which were great. Staff were very helpful when I needed it. Lynda in the ticket office was amazing. She went above and beyond to help me when I had some difficulties. She also helped by printing my tickets which I thought I had lost on my phone. Lynda was very calm and so kind. I'm very grateful for all her help. It made the experience much more enjoyable. Everyone was friendly and the quality of shows was excellent. Thoroughly recommend.

The bandstand is a good place to go to chill out in the summer and watch the bands at night n have a few beers with your mates,plus there is history behind it too

Saturday 20th September- Queen Tribute - Pure Queen. I have seen this band twice before and thought they were reasonable. Tonight however, I thought they were dire. It looks as if they have changed their lead singer because he couldn't hit any notes. We had purchased five tickets for tonight in advance at a cost of £72.00 and left after just 20 minutes of the show. The Bandstand promoters need to start checking these acts out before booking them, or risk loosing many members.

This bandstand make an incredible venue for a concert. I was a speaker at an outside church service where around 1000 people gathered. It makes for a very intimate venue as you can see everyone clearly from the stage. Th acoustics are amazing too. We had a brilliant sunny day hope you get one too.

What a great evening. Pure Queen was the tribute band, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Will be even better when the bandstand is full refurbished

Me and my family have now been to see Wizard of oz, Jack and the bean stalk, Snow White and the seven dwarfs, and Goldie locks and the three bears panto, If you want family fun entertainment these guys are the ones to see haven’t been disappointed yet, although I am going to be truly honest Goldie locks and the three bears was probably the most boring out of them all I didn’t laugh no where near as much as the other 3pantos it felt really dulled down not like any of the other 3 of their shows, my 14year old didn’t enjoy it like he did the other 3 either, How ever My 9year old nephew and 5year old daughter really enjoyed it just as much as all the others ☺️ But felt this was aimed more for the younger and not a whole family entertainment, But never the less What a brilliant team they are and it won’t put us off coming back to watch Aladdin at Christmas ☺️

A pleasant theatre to visit for a smaller concert. I will definitely visit again.

This is a great theatre and I love its old world feel - it's from a different age. The staff are always incredibly friendly and the bar prices are very low.

Great venu, small and friendly , great staff, fabulous performance on 29th August, tribute act to Dua Leaper and Elton John , stunning show so we'll produced with everyone dancing in the ials, well done to all those involved , loved it .

Great little theatre venue. All seats have great view and small enough to have that intimate feeling.

We went to see certain up and I must say that it was amazing the theatre is small but it was very nice the cast were very professional and the comedian was the hight light of the night extremely impressed thank you

It was a fantastic day out. We arrived at 10 am. and left at 4pm. Lots to do and all for a great price. We liked the fact that it was old-fashionedion in areas and in keeping with the train theme. The player area was great. It was lovely crazy golf and an enjoyable adventure finding the maze. The best part was the train rides. All the staff were very friendly and all the areas were super clean. We look forward to visiting again.

Had a wonderful day here, staff were very friendly. Trains are amazing and are the star of the show. They also have a mini crazy golf area and a wonderful play area with a separate toddler section my daughter loved. Food was good and service was fast. Only down side was other visitors that don’t watch their children and had no idea their older children were being destructive in the toddler area, I appreciate it’s hard for the staff to control but I would recommend more staff to oversee this area every thirty minutes to avoid children being injured or damaging the facilities.

What a wonderful hidden gem. First time visitors after driving past many times. Lots to do with the highlight being the fantastic miniature steam trains. Very reasonably priced for entry, did and drinks and there's crazy golf and woodland walks too!

We first visited the EMSR twenty years ago, when our children were very children. We visited regularly until 2014. A wave of nostalgia made us return in 2025, with our children who are now very much adults. We were delighted to find that the EMSR is still the same wonderful place of gentle fun, an unhurried pace where children and adults alike can enjoy the trains and the nature walk. The love that the Wadey family has put into building this magical place is reflected in the atmosphere of gentle happiness. We won't leave it so long before we return.

Lovely miniature railway, the ride on the steam train was enjoyed by my boy and parents alike. Nature walk is beautiful, good cafe and my boy enjoyed the playground too. Well worth the trip.

Really lovely day out with the Grandchildren. So much to keep them occupied! Very well maintained and organised. Busy without being crowded. Definitely recommend.

Brilliant day out perfect for families especially those with small children. The miniature steam railway is amazing and a lovely ride around the whole park. Just be careful if you have a young one in front as the train horn and smoke can be hard for little ones so you might want to sit further back. Plenty of playgrounds, crazy golf, maze, lake and seating dotted around for ease. Nice snack shops and cafe along with gift shop that sells trains, toys and memorabilia. Really easy, booking in advance saves 50p a ticket. Highly recommend!

Definitely recommend a stop get tour bus day pass stops near by or stroll down in in town. Great exhibition nice little library for a read or if you want to be art bring your bits and sit. Staff are lovely and make sure you get a photo round the corner of this stunning gallery. Small but mighty perfect in its own right. Highly recommended.

Interesting gallery, well curated. We often make a special trip down for the weekend. Excellent exhibitions, great restaurant on the top floor, a research library where you can learn more about mid century British art & more. Cafe & cinema & bookshop. Sign up for a tour to see more of the permanent collection. After have a walk along the sea. Combine it with a visit to Hastings just a short drive down the coast.

Excellent contemporary gallery with high quality exhibitions. The restaurant is a beautiful and calm space with a sunny terrace. The menu is interesting and delicious. The cinema hosts the latest arthouse, independent and foreign cinema and has a handsome bar. I would give the gallery five stars if it were not for the noise from loud people in the galleries, which is distracting and irritating. This includes loud conversations by staff who also do nothing to control the noise levels. It has been so distracting while trying to watch the films and read the explanations of the works that I likely won't return often. At the Emma Stibbon show last year, there groups of shrieking pensioners and a small group of women stood right behind me, talking loudly while I tried to watch the video - I had to ask them to move. Yesterday, there were similar levels of noise from people who seem to have no awareness of others. While I don't expect it to be library silent, I do expect, especially for paid exhibitions, to be able to concentrate on what I've come to see. Also, I came out of the exhibition and sat down to watch another video on the screen on the landing and 30 seconds in was approached by a staff member who wanted me to complete a survey. She could see that I was trying to watch a film. They should ensure that visitors can enjoy the experience without such distractions.

Visited because my wife and I have been binge watching portrait artist of the year, but only landscapes from Ravilius were on display. Still interesting, however. Went for a coffee and sticky bun in the cafe afterwards, but sadly the buns were all gone :( Hope to revisit in a couple of weeks for the Turner exhibition 😉

Difficult review to leave. Obviously reopening and getting back into business which is brilliant as we need more places like this for the kiddies and obviously a working progress (where all behind you). Very clean ! And staff friendly and welcoming well as the play area great for burning energy. The down fall on a few things was the prices. I paid nearly a tenner for my 2 year old and myself for entry. Which I pay 7 a month for soft play along the road ? (Which I know your monthly is around that anyway.) But I think for those one off visit doesn't need to be so high ! Personal opinion (the monthly rolling between the two business was a fantastic idea!) Giving the option if one is busy there's space in the other. Your electrical rides wasn't working and on the Peppa pig ride you have burnt marks on the faces which isn't pleasing to see. (Needs a little update) Your offer for after school dinning. (Brilliant idea 💡) this I highly recommend 👌 and good pricing. Apart from those little minor issues I'm sure this will bloom.

First time coming back here since it reopened and I was disappointed to be honest. The play equipment appeared to be clean, so that was good. The food was a big disappointment. The panini was hard and a small portion of chips. Definitely not worth the money! The kids had more food on their plate than a non kids meal. My son had a burger which was the only decent item on our plates. Also the freakshakes were a big disappointment. We ordered 3 chocolate ones and they were so disgusting. The taste reminded me of a gel pen chocolate scent. A complete waste of money as the kids wouldn't drink them as the taste was so bitter. Also noticed that the tables weren't being cleared or cleaned once people had left. I spent 4 hours here today and there were three tables close by that had been left for half hour or more before anyone started cleaning them.

Difficult to rate this place because 1) we travelled for the splash pad which seems to have closed years ago, and 2) the entrance to the soft play indoor area is free 🤔. But, it was a nice visit, Food and beverages available, located next to the beach, cheap parking, and a good walking distance to the pier (a good opportunity to get those 6k steps (or 16k). The staff was friendly and helpful, not busy, while the cleanliness was appropriate for a place visited by children. It's worth a stop.

Only soft play open free but obviously too busy and until we alerted staff was a free for all in all play areas when we asked staff to get kids over 1yr old in baby area out they reacted very well but we should not have had to do so as we were watching and unless we asked were never gonna do there job. But once cleared of over age kids my 1yr old had area to himself 🤔 but nice staff so don't want to complain too much.

Happened to be down in Eastbourne for the weekend and stumbled across this indoor soft play where in August it was free entry so we went in - a great place to burn off some energy and keep the kids occupied for a while. Would definitely return if in the area again. Thank you!

Can’t complain too much, as we attended for free during the summer holidays event. Payed for parking, then told at reception we couldn’t come in as there wasn’t any tables left. However thankfully someone came and said there was a spare table, so we could come in. Area very busy, and loud . But as you would expect a soft play… so no problem there. There’s three areas joined together: under 1s, 2-4, and older. I came with a 1 year old and a 3 year old. My 1 year old was to big for the smallest area, and too small for the middle one. My 3 year old was bored in the 2-4 as there wasn’t only a slide and a tunnel. Nothing else, the big area was to busy for her. So nothing suited either of them. Perhaps when they are both over 4, I might return. The food and drink… awful. I only got a coke and a bowl of chips. It came too £4.80. Chips took 15mins. They were cold, tasteless and ridiculously greasy. My coke was just carbonated water… so didn’t drink that. Facilities was ok. Staff friendly, and actively tidying.

Good afternoon out with the kids. They enjoyed the water activities and the mini golf a lot. The food was good and reasonably priced. They did not have any lockers or showers for changing etc. The slides were slippery. The ride were more for younger kids. Inside was very hot in the summer. Adult prices could be cheaper.

A nice hystoric place to visit. Very nice views from the top. I've been on Sunday late and was only few visitors but I guess you can also get into the rooms and to see more. Facilities are offered as a toilet, few benches with tables and also you have a variety of products from small shops from inside as coffee, juices, icecreams, cakes and more. It's nice to visit as a small group with or without kids. I recomend it and for sure I'll be back to visit and relax watching the surroundings and the sea from the top. Have a good day you all! 👍

It is history, protection, extraordinary, and a magnet. I believe in miracles, and that's why I hope it will be restored. Theoretically, given world politics and what's happening in the canal, it might even make sense. Much here could be quickly restored and repaired. I've noticed so many things today that can be quickly repaired. How about free or inexpensive hotel rooms for guests who want to save such a legacy? Also in other areas, like the pier, below and above. There's a lot missing. Have donation boxes set up for the repair of damage caused by Corona, the storm, and the global economic crisis. Ideally, in the hotel dining rooms. One or just a handful can't do it, but everyone together can. ☀️😃😇👍

Great visit which is free unless you want to go in the museum. Kids had a great time playing and looking at the cannons. Nice views to be had on the top level and the cafe is reasonably priced.

Nice place to go to find out about some of the history of Eastbourne. Also there is a good opportunity to get some good views of the beach from the fortress. Interesting way to spend a bit of time and no cost for doing so.

Interesting historic fort with exhibits and interactive displays inside. The tour is definitely worth doing as the guides are knowledgeable and you'll learn things you'd otherwise miss.

What a lovely place. You can get a coffee and sit around. Such a historical site with cannons, though they were not the genuine ones at the fort originally, will inspire your children. The seafront view is great. All these remind is the hard fought peace that we are enjoying. Lest we forget.

Lovely old fortress with great historical information. No charge to enter. Decent cafe on site. We really enjoyed it despite the need to pull the buggy down the initial steps.

We watched The Play What I Wrote at Devonshire Park Theatre – such a fun and lively performance! The atmosphere was cheerful, the audience laughed out loud, and the whole evening felt light-hearted and entertaining. The theatre itself is a beautiful Victorian building, and the staff were very polite and friendly, which made the experience even more welcoming. A real cultural gem in Eastbourne.

Theatre with lots of charm, friendly and helpful staff. Seats were comfortable and sight lines were good. I saw John Lydon on his recent talking tour and had a great time.

Lovely Victorian theatre in Eastbourne. Visiting from Canada, our local friend got tickets for Strangers on a Train, which was highly entertaining.

Excellent venue with excellent staff. Really enjoyed Sherlock Holmes last night. A special shout out to the lovely couple who ran the audio description for my husband. They were both helpful and kind.

I love this place. A real theatre with charm, popular with locals and performers alike. If you really want to find out what goes into putting on top shows, do the tea and tour (it's a real eye-opener!) There is also rumoured to be a ghost. And if you've never seen a thriller in a theatre, try it - it's a much more thrilling experience than TV or film as you are literally right there in the room with the performers. I saw Gaslight a while ago and it was amazing! Support your local theatres.

Fabulous building and oozes atmosphere in the hall. Your specific experience may differ depending on what you go to see and how much it costs per seat which was £80 for two seats in my case for a play that was underwhelming, but that’s not the fault of the theatre. It was also more than half empty and was even emptier after the interval as loads of people left (although again, they may have just not liked the play. If you want to start off your Victorian theatre experience properly, visit the bar, which is like stepping back in time maybe 60 years. All bottled and lukewarm drinks available at outrageous prices and ice cubes seemed to be limited to one per drink, just like the old days. Have your pre theatre drinks beforehand round the corner at the Bohemian.

Oldie theatre, helpful staff, good performance.

Lovely venue. If you're a truck driver it can be tricky, especially if conditions are wet and you're in an artic! You can spin in the car park easily, then nose out into the road and back up onto the ramp. WATCH YOUR AIR AND TRAILER/CAB LEVELS. You can easily bottom the trailer out on your catwalk. Otherwise the staff are lovely and it's a really nice place to see a show 🎭

Love The Congress Theatre, its such a lush place to go and see bands etc... reasonably priced, compared to some venues. Saw Wet, Wet, Wet, with Heather Small there on 31st October 👌❤️ Always ample free parking around too. Go approx 6-7 times p/a

Great theatre, we watched "Rumours" of Fleetwood Mac on May 31st. The Theatre had comfortable seating, the sound and lighting was fantastic. I went to the WC during the interval and it was spotless. We did not use the bar so can't speak for that experience, but after the show closed, it was easy to exit and just a short walk back to our accommodation. The Theatre is modern and welcoming as were all the staff we came into contact with.

Good venue for plays, shows and concerts. A wide variety of entertainment is offered. Well laid out with a range of outlets for food and drink.

Nice theatre and friendly staff. I visited the Congress theatre for the first time to see fiddler on the roof and I really liked the venue. We were running late due to traffic but the staff were really helpful to get us to our seats just in time for the start of the show. The bar staff in the interval were all great too. The foyer is very roomy compared to a lot of theatres I've visited and the seats in the stalls were comfortable and had decent leg room. I would definitely visit this theatre again based on this experience

My wife and I went to see Fawlty Towers - The Play here. The play was fantastic and we laughed our heads off! The theatre itself is very impressive, the inside of the auditorium is amazing, and there are bars and cafés for those of us that arrive early! There are also very clean toilets that are easily accessible at every level. As we were travelling to Eastbourne by car, parking was a worry for us, however, we found that there was excellent street parking, and a large park very close by the theatre. A great venue and we will certainly be going back.

Went to see the Rock orchestra by candlelight highly recommend Really impressed haven't been for a few years The one downside it's cashless which I don't agree with Plenty of on street parking free after 6 pm Overall a good experience

Really lovely little farm and play areas for young children. My nearly two year old loved it, although she was sad she couldn’t see the cows! The price was really reasonable for all the different things to see and do. It was nice that the gift shop and cafe wasn’t a rip off like some places can be, but the food selection was quite poor. That’s the only thing letting it down I’d say! Other than that, well worth a day out for toddlers and young children.

We went to Sharnfold this weekend for the Peppa Pig character weekend, and just had such a lovely time!! A really well run event, which whilst very popular didn't feel at all rushed with the characters patiently allowing children to get their photos taken and give high fives and hugs. The cafe had some themed Peppa pig rice cakes that were really affordable so the kids could have a treat. No heavy push to sell merchandise but it was there if you wanted it, with cheaper options like balloons for smaller budgets. Great value for money and really friendly staff. An afternoon well spent and next time I would go earlier to have more time on the farm meeting the animals too!

Came a couple weeks ago, i loved the staff, they were really nice but i honestly expected more animals or a bit more to do. However there was plenty for the kids which is good, the location (way there) wasn't safe as i had to walk up a very long and curvy road with a baby. (Yes i could've waited for a bus but it only would've stopped in the middle of the road anyway). Overall 3/5.

A 1-star rating for disabled amenities, we phoned prior to our visit and was assured wheelchair assess wasn’t a issue, which in fairness to get around was fine but to get into the wooden shacks just stairs and no ramps I find it ridiculous. He was unable to access the cars at “vehicle valet”. We chose this place as it said it had a “sensory street”. I wouldn’t call it a street just a board. Nothing sensory about it, which was very disappointing. All In all of you have a great wheelchair bound child I would avoid.

Overcharged at the cafe, luckily staff noticed they made a mistake and refunded. Didn't want to go around the trail just the pumpkin picking but had to pay entry to trail anyway I didnt get our carers ticket so had to pay full price, ontop of it all a medium sized pumpkin cost nearly £9 ! Even with that they wanted nearly £7 to carve the thing ! No thank you. We used to love coming here for halloween as it used to be reasonably priced and never had to pay just to go get a pumpkin before and could get 3 pumpkins for the price we paid today. Daylight robbery!

This review was about the PYO pumpkin patch, my personally review of this place is 3 starts at best! Firstly we get there with a 3 year old, very excited, go to the tills and the 4 or 5 members of staff looked at us and just ignored us. a few minuets later a female member of staff came over and just handed us bands, no information not telling us where to go. so we walked over to a door and tried to open it. "we had to be buzzed thought" again NO ONE gave a crap about us being customers and it took someone cleaning a table on the other side of the store to walk over and let in though. even tho the tills are 2 steps away. i mean the pure lack of customer service or care was shocking.

what a fab place to take a toddler. not massive but could certainly spend a day there. prices were very reasonable so we made sure to buy food for the animals on the way round the farm trail and had cash left over for icecream at the cafe! the frequent play areas ment there was so much to do. a really lovely family day out

This is an historic Marello Tower sited on top of the hill near the west end of Eastbourne 's Promenade. It is unusual in that it is sunk into a pit, presumably to add further protection against cannon fire from ships, although, perhaps this was done later. The tower is set in a nice garden layout and the views are exceptional on a clear day. If you visit here, do check out the old lifeboat museum at the bottom of the hill too.

Nice tower , great location, lots of parking spaces and toilets nearby, restaurant next door. Shame was closed, so we could just walk around .

Wonderful place, if you go Eastbourne you should visit and make your wish. Who knows,maybe your wish will come true one day.

Worth checking out if you have fifteen minutes to burn a small fortification stepped in history

On top of Wish Tower, you can see 360 degree of Eastbourne and the beach.

One of 74 Martello Towers built along the south coast to defend against Napoleon in the early 1800's. The walls are 14 feet thick on the seaward side to defend against cannon balls and the round shape is to deflect cannon balls. On top would have been mounted at least one cannon on a swivel mount. It was never used in the napoleonic wars as napoleon didn’t invade in the end but if he had then this tower was part of the coastal defence.

We visited Nigel at the weekend and had a superb visit. He was friendly and attentive, explained his thoughts behind some of his pieces and left us to wander alone too. The gallery is well laid out in sections; downstairs was my favourite. I absolutely loved his bright, bold, squiggly pieces 🤩 we may have accidentally purchased one! Thoroughly recommend.

I found this beautiful hidden gallery in Eastbourne owned by Nigel Greaves. He was so excited to express his thoughts and ideas throughout showing me, my sister and her friend around his gallery! There are many interesting stories to his art and the journey of his life. This gallery is so inspiring and unique!

What an amazing gallery! Every piece of artwork totally different ranging from the more traditional style to diverse....something for everyone. Nigel was very attentive but also gave me time to browse. If you're in the area I highly recommend.

Today my daughter and I visited the Nigel Greaves Gallery. Nigel was incredibly friendly and welcoming. It was a pleasure to speak with the artist himself and hear the meaning and inspiration behind his work. We were amazed by the range of styles for one artist, from bold, vibrant, textured pieces to calm, peaceful seascapes. A particular favourite of ours was one piece that beautifully captured the serenity of Holywell. Highly recommend taking a visit!

We stumbled across this lovely gallery by accident and we were lucky enough to be shown around by Nigel Greaves, who gave us wonderful descriptions of his works and the background of each piece.
