Eastbourne Pier, a traditional Victorian structure, was built in 1866 and officially opened in 1870. However, it wasn't fully completed until 1872 due to various setbacks including a storm that swept away half of the pier in 1877. The pier is approximately 300 meters long and features various amenities such as amusements, fish and chips shops, a cafe/bar, and an events venue.
Lovely place to spend the day. You can go for a lovely walk along the coast or sit and enjoy the sea. Of course you are also quite close to the town centre so you can spend some Time and money of course getting your retail therapy. We went for a walk along the sea front towards the pebble garden. Unfortunately, it wasn’t that exciting so I wouldn’t recommend you do the walk solely for that. And it’s much quieter along that side. We were lucky when we visited to see a vintage car exhibition after we parked up. Some fantastic vehicles which you will see from the images. They quite often have something going on in that area so would be worth checking it out in advance. A good day was had despite the long walk.

Eastbourne Pier is a must-visit destination if you're in the area! The pier beautifully blends Victorian charm with modern-day attractions, offering stunning views of the sea and coastline, especially during sunset. What really impressed me was the variety of food options available right on the pier. From traditional fish and chips to sweet treats and ice creams, there's something for everyone — and the best part? There are several halal food options available too, which is fantastic for Muslim visitors. I came across a few spots serving halal burgers, grilled chicken, and even doner kebabs — all clearly labeled and freshly prepared. The food was not only delicious but also reasonably priced, making it a great place for a casual meal with a view. There are also plenty of seating areas to enjoy your food while soaking in the sea breeze. In addition to the food, the pier has amusement arcades, souvenir shops, and a lovely tea room, making it a great place to spend a few hours with family or friends. Everything was clean and well-maintained, and the staff at the food outlets were friendly and helpful. All in all, Eastbourne Pier offers a complete experience — scenic views, great food (with halal options!), and fun activities. Highly recommended for families, couples, and solo travelers alike.

Very nice place for a stroll and some family time. Went for the airbourne show this year and it is definitely a must see every year. Personally, I enjoy going to Eastbourne pier on a regular basis as it is fun and parking is not difficult. The seaside is lovely and there's plenty of places to have a snack.

Lovely four day break, nice hotel, nice clean town, pleasant local people. Great shops, great pier ,well looked after, with plenty of seating. Nice bar and fish and chips while listening to live music. Worth a visit.

Eastbourne pierThe structure of Eastbourne pier is a remarkable feat of engineering, stretching gracefully into the sea. Visitors can enjoy a variety of attractions and entertainment options along its length. It has become a beloved landmark, offering stunning views of the coastline. The pier's history has seen moments of triumph and resilience, shaping its enduring presence. A stroll along the pier is a delightful experience for all ages.
MD C — Google review
Beautiful Victorian pier with cafés and arcades. A lovely place for a stroll and to enjoy the sea views. Can feel a bit touristy, but still very charming.
Alena O — Google review
I recently visited Eastbourne Pier and was genuinely impressed by how beautiful and peaceful it was. The pier stretches gracefully out into the sea, offering stunning views of the coastline and the endless blue water. Whether you’re taking a slow walk, snapping some photos, or just sitting down to enjoy the breeze, it’s a lovely spot to relax and unwind. The architecture of the pier is charming, with its classic British seaside feel — clean, well-maintained, and full of character. On a sunny day, the whole place lights up with a calm, cheerful vibe that makes it perfect for both quiet moments and fun outings with friends or family. There are small shops, cafés, and places to grab snacks, and even though it’s not overly commercialized, it still has everything you need for a relaxing afternoon. We took some great photos here — the contrast of the blue sea, the sky, and the white railings made every shot look postcard-worthy. Overall, Eastbourne Pier is a beautiful little escape from the busy city life. Whether you’re local or just visiting, it’s definitely worth spending some time here. Highly recommended if you love the sea and classic coastal charm.

Pier was ok, some shops were closed. There's a bar towards the end of the pier with live music outside on brighter days. Good view of the airshow too.

Nestled just a short stroll from the bustling seafront of Eastbourne, Princes Park is a delightful 33-acre oasis that invites visitors to unwind and enjoy nature. Established in 1922, this beautifully maintained park features an array of attractions including a picturesque boating lake, fragrant rose gardens, and charming English-style landscapes.
lovely spot for a relaxing day out, especially when the sun is shining. The park is spacious and well-kept, perfect for walks with kids or dogs. There are several playgrounds to keep little ones entertained, and plenty of open space to just unwind. One of the highlights is the scenic lake with ducks – it’s peaceful and adds a lot of charm. There are plenty of benches and sitting areas where you can enjoy the view. The on-site café, Perch, is a real bonus. Great for a coffee or bite to eat while soaking up the atmosphere. Friendly staff and nice menu options make it a comfortable place to take a break.

Lovely spot to go and walk in the sunshine. My son and pup love sitting here watching the swans go by. With two parks to have fun in. And a cafe in the central to enjoy a spot of lunch. Plenty of room for picnics and even a mini golf course. Recommend for a cheap cheerful day with the kiddies.

Nice boating lake, did not go to the perch cafe

Great park and field at the moment the funfair is down (June 2025) until July 2025 so pop along.. Wrist bands are £15 with access to all rides , £10 entry and small kids rides . There are food stalls , & bungee jumps that charge Tables , toilets & the fayre area is well kept and clean . O from the fayre was pleasant to talk to and really informative about how the fun fayre is run. Lovely people running the funfair and I can see clearly from talking to O that this fun fayre puts there heart and soul into everything they do and also ensuring people have the best time and experience at there fayre 😁 x

Lovely park. Little lake to Walk around. Lots of swans and ducks to feed! Children’s play area looked good. The perch cafe is charming. Reasonably priced food. Friendly efficient wait staff. We are already planning to return to play pitch and putt followed by another Perch Breakfast.

A great place to have a relaxing walk, some wildlife well worth seeing including the odd Cormorant. The waters and grounds are always kept in good order though the new cafe which is currently still undergoing restoration was not opened during the Summer 2016 which was a disappointment this year.

Towner Eastbourne is a contemporary art gallery located in the Cultural Quarter of Eastbourne. The gallery features temporary exhibitions showcasing modern British art, including works by renowned artists such as Picasso, Henry Moore, and Wolfgang Tillmans. The building itself is a stylish and well-maintained space that offers stunning seaside views. Visitors can enjoy a diverse collection of 20th- and 21st-century art, spanning various mediums such as paintings, sculpture, drawing, and photography.
If you're starting or ending your trip in Eastbourne, consider stopping by Towner Eastbourne, a contemporary art gallery just a short walk from the station. The building has a mix of free and paid exhibitions: G Floor: Gallery shop, theatre, and cinema 1 Floor: Free entry to the Ravilious Gallery, collection library, and other rotating exhibitions 2 Floor: Paid exhibitions and a café/restaurant with lovely views They also have a self-drawing station, the theme of which changes regularly—fun if you want a creative break!

Definitely recommend a stop get tour bus day pass stops near by or stroll down in in town. Great exhibition nice little library for a read or if you want to be art bring your bits and sit. Staff are lovely and make sure you get a photo round the corner of this stunning gallery. Small but mighty perfect in its own right. Highly recommended.

Interesting gallery, well curated. We often make a special trip down for the weekend. Excellent exhibitions, great restaurant on the top floor, a research library where you can learn more about mid century British art & more. Cafe & cinema & bookshop. Sign up for a tour to see more of the permanent collection. After have a walk along the sea. Combine it with a visit to Hastings just a short drive down the coast.

Fantastic gallery. Great exhibitions on Sussex Modernism and Paule Vézelay. Fabulous food in The Light restaurant with great views from the terrace
Julian T — Google review
Great facility, lots of space and possibly the largest passenger lift I have ever been in, clean and with many facilities. Although I will admit I didn't try the cafe
Andreas W — Google review
Excellent contemporary gallery with high quality exhibitions. The restaurant is a beautiful and calm space with a sunny terrace. The menu is interesting and delicious. The cinema hosts the latest arthouse, independent and foreign cinema and has a handsome bar. I would give the gallery five stars if it were not for the noise from loud people in the galleries, which is distracting and irritating. This includes loud conversations by staff who also do nothing to control the noise levels. It has been so distracting while trying to watch the films and read the explanations of the works that I likely won't return often. At the Emma Stibbon show last year, there groups of shrieking pensioners and a small group of women stood right behind me, talking loudly while I tried to watch the video - I had to ask them to move. Yesterday, there were similar levels of noise from people who seem to have no awareness of others. While I don't expect it to be library silent, I do expect, especially for paid exhibitions, to be able to concentrate on what I've come to see. Also, I came out of the exhibition and sat down to watch another video on the screen on the landing and 30 seconds in was approached by a staff member who wanted me to complete a survey. She could see that I was trying to watch a film. They should ensure that visitors can enjoy the experience without such distractions.
Kate L — Google review
Very disappointed in the Turner exhibition. Despite having to pay for this one, less than half the paintings were Turner's. Thankfully we had a coffee on the roof terrace to make up for it, after. The Ravillious exhibition was brilliant, and free.
Sandy — Google review
Visited because my wife and I have been binge watching portrait artist of the year, but only landscapes from Ravilius were on display. Still interesting, however. Went for a coffee and sticky bun in the cafe afterwards, but sadly the buns were all gone :( Hope to revisit in a couple of weeks for the Turner exhibition 😉

Treasure Island Adventure Park is a pirate-themed park located in Eastbourne, East Sussex. It offers a variety of indoor and outdoor attractions suitable for kids of all ages. The park features an 18-hole mini-golf course, a soft play area, and a paddling pool.
Great place to take young children age 12 and under! .. really good value for money with an indoor soft play ( with air conditioning on ! ) area and cafe that host great selection of meals and snacks at good value prices that won't break the bank. Also sharing options like pizza etc . It also has an outside splash paddling pool / sand / play area that is enclosed so you do not have to worry about little runners escaping!

Been coming here for years. Always having many great times here. But as the kids got older the soft play lots it's charm. Well still bring visiting younger family members. But today did the 18 hole golf ⛳️ course , great for all ages. Followed by lunch from the outside food and drink window. Is a great place to spend an hr or 2 .

Great crazy golf and friendly staff. Must guve Paige a mention, a welcoming, sensible girl who was so helpful in an understated way. She could easily be overlooked but we were impressed by her.

What an absolute gem, great place for little tots. Loads to do with the splash pool, sand beaches, and play houses. My granddaughters loved it. They also had access to the soft play area. Great value for money £20.00 for 2 adults and 2 little people. Snacks and drinks are not expensive. Great value for money. Added bonus the staff were lovely and really helpful. Really lovely day, thank you team.

We were down in Eastbourne for a wedding, and eyed this up on Google and when out for a walk. We visited to play the Adventure Golf - 2 Adults - Saturday morning - end April 2022. There was no wait. The course is well kept, with brilliant decorative features/installations, and an easy route to follow. Each hole provided entertainment and varied challenges. A thoroughly enjoyable Crazy Golf course. There was a family and another couple playing whilst we were there
Dave C — Google review
Unlimited fun for small kids. On the 2 days we went, they fully exhausted themselves indoors(the outdoors were closed). The soft play is sizeable, there's a smaller baby soft play and even a huge telly that played toy story on day 1 and lion king/moana on day 2.
Péter N — Google review
Really lovely place for kids. We turned up early and got a good spot, so we could see the kids playing in the water and the sand. The sandpit is a good size, I'll remember to bring buckets and spades next time! The water part is great, especially to keep cool on a hot day. The pirate ship playarea is good fun too. My kids were kept entertained for several hours before they had enough. We then went indoors and they played in the soft play area then chilled in the TV corner. Such good value for money. Can't wait to return.

Established in 1937, it holds the distinction of being one of England's first permanent lifeboat museums.
Always come here when I come to Eastbourne which is 2- 3 times a year. I am always keen to support the charity which is essential. I love the Diaries, the cards and the key rings and bag charms. The staff are always attentive and keen to sell their wares and raise money.

Beach
Eastbourne Beach is a dog-friendly destination, making it perfect for a day out with your furry friend. The beach spans over three miles of shingle and is lined by a charming Victorian promenade. The Marine Parade Beaches, located between Eastbourne Pier and the Wish Tower, are popular for swimming and are equipped with lifeguards during the summer months. Additionally, amenities such as showers, toilets, cafes, and bathing cabins are available.
Eastbourne beach is a shingle beach, meaning it's primarily composed of pebbles rather than sand. The main resort beach, from Wish Tower to the pier, is lifeguard-patrolled and offers facilities like first aid, kid-friendly zones, and beach huts for rent. The beach is a popular spot for swimming, sunbathing, and enjoying the traditional British seaside experience
Follow W — Google review
It's a nice and large pebble beach. Good pier. Easy to walk from station to beach via high street. Good number of shops on the high street. Easy accessible by public transport. Enjoyed my day out with sun shine.
Sangita S — Google review
A long shingle beach, providing excellent access for those less mobile, along mostly flat paths, with slope access in addition to steps. The promenade has recently been re-landscaped, replacing typical seaside bedding plants, with more sustainable perennials, bulbs & grasses. The 300m pier, is a bit tired, although all piers are fun & interesting, shame seeing beautiful victorian architecture now rusting & in need of some tlc. The Band Stand is now mostly blocked from view by an ugly blue solid barrier, so people can't watch, without paying, the regular bands & entertainers. The promenade runs right along the shoreline, with several levels in places, plenty of seats along the prom. Going west along the prom, are mature planted beds, with one of the many fascinating Martello Towers - this one named the Wish Tower, originally built as defensive outposts against Napolean attack. Now many are cared for by local conservation groups.... & some open to the public.
Jean P — Google review
This is a beautiful stretch of beach. Much of it is pebbled and the breeze is so refreshing even in the evening. On what part you can see kayaks and small boats parked. Highly recommend.

very nice area with loads of hotels and a few good restaurants but a very enjoyable beach i think all year round- we stayed in a beachfront hotel and kept making trips down to the water - i really like the water and it wasn’t too busy the people were also nice unlike some other coastal places that can be very unwelcoming. would recommend for a short holiday!

The Eastbourne Bandstand is a historic seaside venue with a distinctive blue domed roof, offering a variety of musical performances including big band, classical music, and tribute acts. Built in 1935, it holds special significance as it commemorates Eastbourne bandsman John Wesley Woodward who was performing on the Titanic when it sank in 1912. The bandstand hosts around 150 concerts annually and offers free shows to the public.
Such a fantastic place to visit all year around but more so in the summer where there are regular bands playing and music can be heard along Eastbourne promenade. Also Wednesdays from may - sept they host a beautiful firework display on the beach next to the bandstand at approx 9.30pm ..I love attending with my daughter and watching the display. 😍🎆 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ For me this is a must do experience of you are ever in Eastbourne

Lovley venue, outside and good atmosphere. Can get cold if windy so bring a jumper. You can buy blankets here to. Bar available. Great evening to watch live music
George T — Google review
Eastbourne Bandstand is a gem on the Sussex coast — a striking seafront venue that blends historic charm with vibrant musical life. Built in 1935, its distinctive blue domed roof and art deco design make it one of the most recognisable landmarks in Eastbourne, and it remains a focal point for live entertainment throughout the year. The Bandstand hosts an impressive variety of events, from traditional brass bands and tribute acts to themed nights and fireworks concerts. Whether you're into swing, classical, or Queen, there's likely a performance for you. The sound quality is surprisingly good given the open-air setting, and the tiered seating ensures a decent view for most audience members. It’s particularly magical on warm summer evenings, when the music mingles with the sea breeze. Staff are friendly and well-organised, and ticket prices are reasonable, making it an accessible evening out. The location is ideal too — just a short walk from Eastbourne Pier, with ample nearby parking and local amenities. That said, the weather can be unpredictable, and while the covered seating offers some protection, dressing for the elements is wise. Also, during busier events, the seating can feel a bit cramped. Overall, Eastbourne Bandstand offers a wonderful blend of nostalgia, community spirit, and first-rate entertainment — a must-visit for music lovers or anyone looking for a quintessentially British seaside experience.
Mark J — Google review
We unexpectedly came across the bandstand, as we were new to the area. There was a band playing and plenty of seating for spectators. It was an unbelievable atmosphere, with everyone participating either by singing along, clapping, waving their hands, dancing and just enjoying themselves from young and old. Hats off to their Council for funding the event.

We saw 2 shows recently which were great. Staff were very helpful when I needed it. Lynda in the ticket office was amazing. She went above and beyond to help me when I had some difficulties. She also helped by printing my tickets which I thought I had lost on my phone. Lynda was very calm and so kind. I'm very grateful for all her help. It made the experience much more enjoyable. Everyone was friendly and the quality of shows was excellent. Thoroughly recommend.

We went to see the Motown tribute act last and it was the worst act I have ever seen here. They turned up late, couldn't get their words right and their voices were just dreadful. They turned up 20 minutes but didn't stay any later to make it up!! Would not recommend anyone to go to see them

The Royal Hippodrome Theatre, dating back to 1883, is the oldest theatre in Eastbourne and South East England. Originally a royal venue, it boasts a spacious auditorium with an elegant art deco ceiling. While once frequented by wealthy British aristocrats, today it hosts a variety of shows, concerts, and comedy nights for all ages. The theatre also encourages local youth and amateur theater groups to utilize its premises alongside big-name stars who visit regularly.
A trip to the Royal Hippodrome Theatre to watch Charlie and The Chocolate Factory was an absolutely brilliant idea! The show itself was simply fantastic, the staging, props etc were West End calibre and left the audience gasping. The theatre itself was tastefully and beautifully decorated and felt like it was stepping back in time. The staff who I think were all volunteers were friendly, helpful and professional. A ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ experience. Well worth a visit!

Me and my family have now been to see Wizard of oz, Jack and the bean stalk, Snow White and the seven dwarfs, and Goldie locks and the three bears panto, If you want family fun entertainment these guys are the ones to see haven’t been disappointed yet, although I am going to be truly honest Goldie locks and the three bears was probably the most boring out of them all I didn’t laugh no where near as much as the other 3pantos it felt really dulled down not like any of the other 3 of their shows, my 14year old didn’t enjoy it like he did the other 3 either, How ever My 9year old nephew and 5year old daughter really enjoyed it just as much as all the others ☺️ But felt this was aimed more for the younger and not a whole family entertainment, But never the less What a brilliant team they are and it won’t put us off coming back to watch Aladdin at Christmas ☺️

Visited Eastbourne and booked two shows, first was Bruce Springsteen tribute at the Royal Hippodrome Theatre. The band was great musians but didn't realise how many I didn't know but brilliant finish. The theatre is 150 years old but looks fantastic. We must keep these places open for the next generation. Two drinks were over £10 so little on the experience side and no bar seating but we'll worth a visit.

Eastbourne Redoubt is a circular coastal defense fort in Eastbourne, East Sussex, England. It was constructed in 1805 as part of the British preparations against a potential invasion by Napoleon. Over its 200-year history, it has been utilized during WWI and WWII. Visitors can explore the fortress, including tunnels and ramparts, and learn about its military history through a museum on-site.
Great place. Real history. Dedicated staff. In need of funds to really put it on the map. Small cafe and shop.

A nice hystoric place to visit. Very nice views from the top. I've been on Sunday late and was only few visitors but I guess you can also get into the rooms and to see more. Facilities are offered as a toilet, few benches with tables and also you have a variety of products from small shops from inside as coffee, juices, icecreams, cakes and more. It's nice to visit as a small group with or without kids. I recomend it and for sure I'll be back to visit and relax watching the surroundings and the sea from the top. Have a good day you all! 👍

It is history, protection, extraordinary, and a magnet. I believe in miracles, and that's why I hope it will be restored. Theoretically, given world politics and what's happening in the canal, it might even make sense. Much here could be quickly restored and repaired. I've noticed so many things today that can be quickly repaired. How about free or inexpensive hotel rooms for guests who want to save such a legacy? Also in other areas, like the pier, below and above. There's a lot missing. Have donation boxes set up for the repair of damage caused by Corona, the storm, and the global economic crisis. Ideally, in the hotel dining rooms. One or just a handful can't do it, but everyone together can. ☀️😃😇👍

Great visit which is free unless you want to go in the museum. Kids had a great time playing and looking at the cannons. Nice views to be had on the top level and the cafe is reasonably priced.

Nice place to go to find out about some of the history of Eastbourne. Also there is a good opportunity to get some good views of the beach from the fortress. Interesting way to spend a bit of time and no cost for doing so.

Interesting historic fort with exhibits and interactive displays inside. The tour is definitely worth doing as the guides are knowledgeable and you'll learn things you'd otherwise miss.

What a lovely place. You can get a coffee and sit around. Such a historical site with cannons, though they were not the genuine ones at the fort originally, will inspire your children. The seafront view is great. All these remind is the hard fought peace that we are enjoying. Lest we forget.

Sharnfold Farm, situated on Hailsham Road in Stone Cross, UK, is a charming family-owned farm covering 300 acres of picturesque East Sussex countryside. The farm is home to a variety of livestock such as cows, pigs, sheep, and poultry. Additionally, it boasts an array of fruits and vegetables including strawberries, raspberries, potatoes, and pumpkins. Embracing sustainable agricultural practices to minimize its environmental impact is one of the farm's core values.
My toddler loves Sharnfold for a day out! There is so much to keep him entertained and such a variety too! The flower fields are absolutely gorgeous and great for those photo opportunities and he could spend ages in vehicle valley or playing the garden games! Really reasonably priced, especially the summer pass - we will be back every week throughout the summer holidays!
Louise W — Google review
Really lovely little farm and play areas for young children. My nearly two year old loved it, although she was sad she couldn’t see the cows! The price was really reasonable for all the different things to see and do. It was nice that the gift shop and cafe wasn’t a rip off like some places can be, but the food selection was quite poor. That’s the only thing letting it down I’d say! Other than that, well worth a day out for toddlers and young children.
Bex S — Google review
We went to Sharnfold this weekend for the Peppa Pig character weekend, and just had such a lovely time!! A really well run event, which whilst very popular didn't feel at all rushed with the characters patiently allowing children to get their photos taken and give high fives and hugs. The cafe had some themed Peppa pig rice cakes that were really affordable so the kids could have a treat. No heavy push to sell merchandise but it was there if you wanted it, with cheaper options like balloons for smaller budgets. Great value for money and really friendly staff. An afternoon well spent and next time I would go earlier to have more time on the farm meeting the animals too!
Donna B — Google review
Came a couple weeks ago, i loved the staff, they were really nice but i honestly expected more animals or a bit more to do. However there was plenty for the kids which is good, the location (way there) wasn't safe as i had to walk up a very long and curvy road with a baby. (Yes i could've waited for a bus but it only would've stopped in the middle of the road anyway). Overall 3/5.
Galaxtic_ A — Google review
We used to visit frequently before the refurbishment as the farm shop breakfast was lovely, and great value. Visited recently and they no longer have a functioning kitchen or a breakfast menu. Such a shame. We ended up going elsewhere with our group of 6.

A 1-star rating for disabled amenities, we phoned prior to our visit and was assured wheelchair assess wasn’t a issue, which in fairness to get around was fine but to get into the wooden shacks just stairs and no ramps I find it ridiculous. He was unable to access the cars at “vehicle valet”. We chose this place as it said it had a “sensory street”. I wouldn’t call it a street just a board. Nothing sensory about it, which was very disappointing. All In all of you have a great wheelchair bound child I would avoid.
Liam B — Google review
Overcharged at the cafe, luckily staff noticed they made a mistake and refunded. Didn't want to go around the trail just the pumpkin picking but had to pay entry to trail anyway I didnt get our carers ticket so had to pay full price, ontop of it all a medium sized pumpkin cost nearly £9 ! Even with that they wanted nearly £7 to carve the thing ! No thank you. We used to love coming here for halloween as it used to be reasonably priced and never had to pay just to go get a pumpkin before and could get 3 pumpkins for the price we paid today. Daylight robbery!
Holliee C — Google review
This review was about the PYO pumpkin patch, my personally review of this place is 3 starts at best! Firstly we get there with a 3 year old, very excited, go to the tills and the 4 or 5 members of staff looked at us and just ignored us. a few minuets later a female member of staff came over and just handed us bands, no information not telling us where to go. so we walked over to a door and tried to open it. "we had to be buzzed thought" again NO ONE gave a crap about us being customers and it took someone cleaning a table on the other side of the store to walk over and let in though. even tho the tills are 2 steps away. i mean the pure lack of customer service or care was shocking.

Pevensey Castle, located in East Sussex, boasts a rich history spanning 16 centuries. Originally fortified by the Romans as a shore fort to defend against the Saxons, it later became the site where William the Conqueror initiated the Norman Conquest of England. The castle's sturdy square keep and powerful gatehouse stand as impressive ruins on a naturally defensible site.
Not really sure how someone could rate this less than 5 stars. We came here to start our self guided 1066 tour as this makes sense chronologically. We purchased the overseas 9 day pass, so this castle was included. There is magic in the walls. So much history, too much to write about. I recommend reading up on the history before you come, it will be more interesting. The WW2 touch is simply amazing. Centuries of history live in these walls. If you are not into history, the walk alone is very nice. I highly recommend giving yourself about 2 hours. We took a short drive down to the coast to take a picture at the “spot” that the Normans landed (yes I know, that spot has been reclaimed by the sea, but still, use your imagination). Car park around the corner within walking distance and an overflow lot for a fee.
Geoffrey D — Google review
Went there as somewhere different for a dog walk. There were no restrictions on where we could go. Great place to see some English history, and how it has been involved during centuries of history.
Steve B — Google review
Very nice castle. The grounds are quite large and free to visit with some information boards, so great for dogs. It is rare, at least in my experience, to see rounded Roman walls, which was then built upon after 1066. The keep you need to pay for, a touch bare but nothing an audio guide can't fix, and there are a few rooms with exhibitions for extra viewing. Don't forget the dungeon.

Just a short visit to Pevensey Castle, trying to fit a lot into our day. After first visiting Battle Abbey, another English Heritage site, it was only a short drive down to Pevensey & like Battle Abbey, Pevensey is well worth a visit. We were fortunate to have lovely weather for both our visits.

Princes Mini Golf Eastbourne is a delightful destination for those looking to enjoy a unique twist on traditional golf. We thought it was closed so were pleasantly surprised to discover otherwise. We took our 17 month old granddaughter and had a brilliant time. Three designated areas for different ages, and much cleaner than when we used to take our daughters many years ago. Friendly staff, good value for money 👍

Difficult review to leave. Obviously reopening and getting back into business which is brilliant as we need more places like this for the kiddies and obviously a working progress (where all behind you). Very clean ! And staff friendly and welcoming well as the play area great for burning energy. The down fall on a few things was the prices. I paid nearly a tenner for my 2 year old and myself for entry. Which I pay 7 a month for soft play along the road ? (Which I know your monthly is around that anyway.) But I think for those one off visit doesn't need to be so high ! Personal opinion (the monthly rolling between the two business was a fantastic idea!) Giving the option if one is busy there's space in the other. Your electrical rides wasn't working and on the Peppa pig ride you have burnt marks on the faces which isn't pleasing to see. (Needs a little update) Your offer for after school dinning. (Brilliant idea 💡) this I highly recommend 👌 and good pricing. Apart from those little minor issues I'm sure this will bloom.
Jade H — Google review
First time coming back here since it reopened and I was disappointed to be honest. The play equipment appeared to be clean, so that was good. The food was a big disappointment. The panini was hard and a small portion of chips. Definitely not worth the money! The kids had more food on their plate than a non kids meal. My son had a burger which was the only decent item on our plates. Also the freakshakes were a big disappointment. We ordered 3 chocolate ones and they were so disgusting. The taste reminded me of a gel pen chocolate scent. A complete waste of money as the kids wouldn't drink them as the taste was so bitter. Also noticed that the tables weren't being cleared or cleaned once people had left. I spent 4 hours here today and there were three tables close by that had been left for half hour or more before anyone started cleaning them.
Natalie A — Google review
Difficult to rate this place because 1) we travelled for the splash pad which seems to have closed years ago, and 2) the entrance to the soft play indoor area is free 🤔. But, it was a nice visit, Food and beverages available, located next to the beach, cheap parking, and a good walking distance to the pier (a good opportunity to get those 6k steps (or 16k). The staff was friendly and helpful, not busy, while the cleanliness was appropriate for a place visited by children. It's worth a stop.
George B — Google review
Only soft play open free but obviously too busy and until we alerted staff was a free for all in all play areas when we asked staff to get kids over 1yr old in baby area out they reacted very well but we should not have had to do so as we were watching and unless we asked were never gonna do there job. But once cleared of over age kids my 1yr old had area to himself 🤔 but nice staff so don't want to complain too much.
Clive J — Google review
Happened to be down in Eastbourne for the weekend and stumbled across this indoor soft play where in August it was free entry so we went in - a great place to burn off some energy and keep the kids occupied for a while. Would definitely return if in the area again. Thank you!
Victoria K — Google review
Can’t complain too much, as we attended for free during the summer holidays event. Payed for parking, then told at reception we couldn’t come in as there wasn’t any tables left. However thankfully someone came and said there was a spare table, so we could come in. Area very busy, and loud . But as you would expect a soft play… so no problem there. There’s three areas joined together: under 1s, 2-4, and older. I came with a 1 year old and a 3 year old. My 1 year old was to big for the smallest area, and too small for the middle one. My 3 year old was bored in the 2-4 as there wasn’t only a slide and a tunnel. Nothing else, the big area was to busy for her. So nothing suited either of them. Perhaps when they are both over 4, I might return. The food and drink… awful. I only got a coke and a bowl of chips. It came too £4.80. Chips took 15mins. They were cold, tasteless and ridiculously greasy. My coke was just carbonated water… so didn’t drink that. Facilities was ok. Staff friendly, and actively tidying.
Nicola P — Google review
Good afternoon out with the kids. They enjoyed the water activities and the mini golf a lot. The food was good and reasonably priced. They did not have any lockers or showers for changing etc. The slides were slippery. The ride were more for younger kids. Inside was very hot in the summer. Adult prices could be cheaper.

Nestled in the heart of Eastbourne, the Devonshire Park Theatre is a stunning example of Victorian architecture that transports visitors back to a time of elegance and artistry. Constructed in 1884 by Henry Currey and later enhanced by renowned theatre architect Frank Matcham, this Grade II listed gem boasts intricate plasterwork adorned with scrolls and caryatids crafted by Schmidt of Holloway.
Went to Snow White Panto yesterday day. It was fabulous laughs all the way through some for the adults, loads for the kids, but each one was a great joke. Live panto band, great singing and dancing, doing modern songs that fitted perfectly with the segment they were doing. The staff were vert attentive, plenty on hand, smiles, and great welcome from all, a sign of a great venue and people who really enjoy what they do. Ages between 41 and 2 years old in our group and everyone had a great time. I will be going back for another at some point. Thank you so much for the experience.

I love this place. A real theatre with charm, popular with locals and performers alike. If you really want to find out what goes into putting on top shows, do the tea and tour (it's a real eye-opener!) There is also rumoured to be a ghost. And if you've never seen a thriller in a theatre, try it - it's a much more thrilling experience than TV or film as you are literally right there in the room with the performers. I saw Gaslight a while ago and it was amazing! Support your local theatres.
Jason E — Google review
Fabulous building and oozes atmosphere in the hall. Your specific experience may differ depending on what you go to see and how much it costs per seat which was £80 for two seats in my case for a play that was underwhelming, but that’s not the fault of the theatre. It was also more than half empty and was even emptier after the interval as loads of people left (although again, they may have just not liked the play. If you want to start off your Victorian theatre experience properly, visit the bar, which is like stepping back in time maybe 60 years. All bottled and lukewarm drinks available at outrageous prices and ice cubes seemed to be limited to one per drink, just like the old days. Have your pre theatre drinks beforehand round the corner at the Bohemian.

Pevensey Bay Beach is located in an old fishing village that dates back to the 1600s. It is situated just above sea level and during high tide in the winter, the sea sometimes breaches the defenses. The beach offers a serene and uncrowded environment with car parking and facilities nearby. At low tide, miles of sand are revealed, making it popular for dog walkers.
It's much quieter here than Eastbourne, when the tide is low quite sandy too.

It may not have a pier or attractions, but this was a peaceful pebbled beach with historical significance as it is where the Normans landed in 1066.

A very peaceful beach without the noise of tourists. Excellent facilities such as a large pay and display car park, 10 huge litter bins with proper handles to stop the seagulls pulling out litter. 5 unisex toilets, 2 disabled toilets, one with a changing room and a shower unit. So peaceful, you could hear a pin drop. The waves, when the tide was in, were a joy to listen to.

The best. Never found it over crowded. Has car parking and facilities adjacent to the beach. 2 minutes to high Street for a great bakers/cafe plus other establishments all good including fish and chips or general store other food outlets. Love it there. Always worth checking the times of tides. Low Tide revealing miles of sand. HI tide will mean you need to move to the top of the pebble beach. Very popular with dog walkers especially at low tide. Enjoy.

The center also features swimming pools, cafes, gyms, and aerobics in water while following safety precautions.
I love this place, best swimming complex I've been to, I love the wave machine which comes on every 5 minutes, they also another massive pool the other room with a slide and a massive deep diving pool which is great, they also have a kids area and pool for disabled people and of course swimming lesson if needed. They also have a large cafeteria where they serve hot and cold food. There is also a massive room where kids can have a party or just have fun roller blading football even bouncy castles, so there is plenty to do here, definitely worth visiting

Me and my son was wear cotton T shirts that’s why they did not allow me to swim. Though they were return my money. But I didn’t like it. They called it fun pool but they giving wave too less. Another thing is that they don't allow anyone to take pictures personally, but they take pictures with their own photographer. Maybe they charge for it. I don't know how morally consistent that is. Locker/hair drier use system is to enter 20p. At present, who is traveling around with coin in the pocket? In general,it couldn’t meet my expectations.
Redwan N — Google review
Booked a lane swim in the 25m 'gala' pool, which cost £8 per adult, + £1.50 car parking + 20p (non refundable) for a locker. £9.70 is not great value for money when you're getting a 1970s pool which has seen better days. There was quite a bit of debris (broken ear plugs etc) in the pool, and a line of scum around the tiles at the deep end. The boom pool water looked decidedly green! Water temp in the main pool was good. There were 2 lifeguards which seemed attentive and the staff at reception were welcoming. Limited changing cubicles - I think I counted 5, excluding the vintage kiddy cubicles. Showers were warm. Lockers in an odd place after the showers on the way to the pool. I understand that Eastbourne was about to lose this pool, and there are limited options for swimming in the town, but that doesn't give Better a license to charge premium prices for what is currently a sub-par facility.

The Sovereign Centre has always been an important place of fun for both adults and children and has always been greatly appreciated. However, since the management has changed, I have noticed a clear decline in hygiene standards — in the bathrooms, between the tiles, and even inside the pools. The water in the pools, whether in the children’s pool (where little ones are shivering with blue lips) or in the adult pool (where I used to swim but no longer do), has become absolutely cold and unbearable. I truly hope the management reads this message and takes action, because if things continue this way, they risk losing many customers.
Dodo T — Google review
We had high hopes that things may be a bit different since the new management however it is just as grotty if not worse. The older blonde receptionist was so rude to all the guests in line and I put it down to her having a bad day, but she ruined our experience before we had even stepped foot into the place. The prices have gone up, which is understandable but we won't be returning which is a shame as we are so local. We really wanted to support it and keep local, however cannot justify going here when the triangle is so much better for less.
Charli C — Google review
Gym has a good selection of equipment and never too busy and clean. The staff are very friendly, the booking app is easy to use and there’s a great variety of classes. However, the gym changing rooms and ladies changing rooms are horrible. They are often dirty with a very strong smell of urine, debris all over the floor and hair all in the shower. There’s also lots of white build up.There's lack of changing rooms as most of them are stupidly short walled ones where you get no privacy. The hairdryers and lockers cost 20p which is a massive inconvenience for make sure you have change which most people don’t carry these days and adds in £8 a month to your membership if you swim 5 times a week.
Charlotte — Google review
Used to be amazing but unfortunately since it’s reopened it’s gone massively down hill. They charge an absolute fortune of £10 per adult (£6 child) to only have ONE hour in the pool (another thing they’ve added which doesn’t make sense; what happened to maximum bather load? Can the lifeguards not handle that?!) I used to work as a lifeguard here for a while and came here as a child for a long time, where I could stay in the pool for as long as all day if I wanted too. Such a shame, they’ve personally ruined it. Other than that the facilities are ok at best. Wave machine is the only thing that makes it worth coming.
Joanna M — Google review
Generally an ok pool, used to do swim lessons here. Trying to get back to em a couple years later since i have more time now only to find out this random charity has completely overhauled the website in their own style and made it confusing to use. And ditto to that other reviewer about the prices, this is the old sovereign centre not a brand new swimming venue. Stars would be higher if not for the prices and ruined website

The Eastbourne Heritage Centre, located on Carlisle Road, offers a captivating journey through the town's history and culture. Housed in a beautiful Victorian building known as 'Park Cottage,' the center showcases original maps, photos, artifacts, and films that depict Eastbourne's rich heritage from prehistoric times to the present day.
This museum is a real gem, very interesting displays and many films about the history of Eastbourne. I would highly recommend a visit.

A very interesting and nostalgic little Musium. Hosted by delightful knowledgeable and enthusiastic volunteers. We were lucky to be the only visitors at the time and were given a personal tour! Very enjoyable. Thank you. Gives a comprehensive display of the history of Eastbourne. Complete with a mini cinema.

Wonderful afternoon spent at this very interesting exhibition. Kind, helpful staff. Fascinating historic films showing in the cinema downstairs. The whole centre is full of our lovely town's history. Highly recommend a visit. Saturday only open at the moment.

Surprisingly interesting for a local attraction. Watch the films they made, shown in their own mini cinema. They describe, with pictures, how the streets have changed over time. The rest is a bit sparse but OK. This sign is on the wall next to the stairs.

Eastbourne Beach is a stunning 280-acre area of outstanding natural beauty featuring dazzling chalk cliffs that rise 160 meters tall. Visitors can admire the breathtaking views across the channel from the top or take a leisurely walk along the beautiful beaches below. The beach is known for its picturesque flower gardens and a rebuilt pier, offering delightful spots to enjoy tea, fish and chips, or ice cream with comfortable seating areas. It's also a favorite spot for photographers capturing nature at its best.
Eastbourne is more beautiful than any photo or postcard can ever show! Enjoy as much of it as you can, walk every day, you'll miss it when you leave.

Very nice, I was on Friday the 16th of June, and it was amazing. The sunbed is only £2 for the day...well they collect them at 4-4:30 pm. Very easily accessible by train.

This is my hometown.. it is one of the most beautiful beaches and flower gardens along the south east coast, the pier has been rebuilt after a tragic fire.. but is now such a wonderful and beautiful spot to have tea, fish and chips, ice creams, nice seating areas.. also perfect place for photographers looking for that perfect shot of nature at it's best. The beach itself is stone based but when the tide goes out as you can see in my photos you can walk along the sand with the water flowing on your feet, it's just beautiful and peaceful. Theres cafes all along the seafront and kiosks too for ice cream and beach items like rubber rings and even sunglasses! It's also a lovely walk down to the base of beachy head cliffs.. again.. stunning and seen in my photos.. if u have never been and want a stunning surrounding, walks, cafes etc then you must go!! Cant rate this high enough!!!!

My girls loved seeing Santa at the grotto. Santa and his elf were super friendly and welcoming. The girls then enjoyed playing in the city area - there was a range of toys for babies and toddlers. Would go again. All staff very friendly. In total we were there around 90 minutes.

My daughter had her birthday party here today. The new owners are absolutely lovely and were so helpful welcoming and patient! There was a wide variety of party food and all the children were happy with what was on offer. Stitch was amazing and was the icing on the cake! Considering how hot it was today and being surrounded by lots of over excited children 😅 there was many children with various additional needs including my child with autism, the staff were patient and kind

Myself and children love this place so much, the staff are friendly beyond words. The improvements taking place are really bringing a new lease of life. The character visits are brilliant with such quality characters even my 8 year old believes they are real. What’s more is I can enjoy a lovely drink whilst it’s still hot as the kids are happily playing. I really look forward to my son’s party here next month, I have no doubt it will be awesome. Hi 5s to all your wonderful team making it such a lovely place to visit.

I am lost for words with how amazing Kiddi city is. My son is a member so we go often and have really got to know the staff, it’s a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. I decided to have my son’s 2nd birthday here and WOW, what a party it was. Anna (the owner) was very very accommodating. I was worried I wouldn’t have enough food platters for the adults so Anna whipped up another tray for me. She was really on the ball and I literally had to do nothing. Even all the adults had a great time, sitting, chatting, eating cake & drinking coffee. We had the whole place to ourselves and shut for the public which made it even more special. My Son had an amazing time and so did all his friends. There are so many toys and role play parts, a doctors surgery, a bakery, a cafe, a hair salon, a pets corner and more! I honestly would do it again tomorrow, it was stress free, fun, good music and good vibes! Highly recommended with 5 huge stars!
Claire M — Google review
I’ve been taking my children to kiddicity for a while now. My daughter took part in cooking, messy play, music makers and many more other classes and she loved all of them. My son and daughter have both had birthday parties there and staff did an amazing job with both. They were accommodating to all adults and children who came, they easily made adaptions to food as many children had dietary requirements. Staff were always happy to help adults and children, they all engaged with the children well, it was a lovely warm and welcoming atmosphere. Thank you to Amber for leading such a wonderful team!
Hollie R — Google review
I was quite disappointed with my visit here. The staff did not come across as very welcoming, which I found surprising for a children’s environment. As someone who works in childcare, I know how important a warm and engaging approach is, but instead I felt quite enclosed and reserved after being “welcomed” in. The play area itself was also underwhelming. Several of the resources were in poor condition, and some looked as though they hadn’t been cleaned in some time — which makes me question the cleaning procedures in place. For a space designed for young children, this is something that really should be prioritised. The role play section is clearly meant to be the main attraction, but even this felt limited and could benefit from updating and expanding to create a more enriching experience. With some extra thought and investment, the play opportunities could be much better. Another disappointing aspect was the food options. Alternatives for dietary needs, such as coeliac-friendly choices for children, were very minimal. In this day and age, and especially in a family-focused environment, I would expect more inclusive food options to be available. Overall, I’ve visited other play areas in Eastbourne that not only offer a cleaner, better-maintained, and more stimulating environment but also provide more consideration for dietary needs — all at a lower cost. Sadly, this one did not live up to expectations.

My son had a party invite here , and the staff was constantly telling the kids off , not to throw the balls around in the soft play bit. Constantly watching what the kids was doing , telling them if they carried on she was going to put the soft play away . It was such bad atmosphere. The poor woman who had the party there . 2 of the staff closed the soft play half hour before the party finished because they wanted it tidy before home time . Will never bring my kids here to Sceard to let play with getting told off .

We hosted our daughter's birthday party here and the manager and owner's worked tirelessly to try and resolve some issues with a third party provider for the party. They really went above and beyond and made the party a huge success and extremely memorable. We are really grateful for the team and all they did and would recommend for others to book their party here. Thanks so much Kiddicity!

Cineworld Cinema - Eastbourne is a multiplex cinema chain that showcases the latest international blockbusters in both 2D and 3D formats. The prominent Arndale Centre underwent extensive remodeling in 2016, which included the addition of this brand new cinema run by Cineworld. Located in the town center, it is easily accessible and stands out as The Beacon. On a rainy day in Eastbourne, Cineworld Cinema offers an ideal option for entertainment.
Good screens, good popcorn and even better drinks (the Icee drinks are great). The screens are all very good, I went to screen 2 and screen 4 for different films, and even though screen 4 has less seats, the screen was just as good quality as the bigger theatre of screen 2. Great experience, lots of fun

1/05/25 - visited Cineworld with my daughter and her friend and saw the new lilo and stitch movie. The cinema was clean , the staff were polite , informative and friendly . We arrived early and were allowed to wait in the lobby outside the screen area whilst the staff cleaned inside out screen room from last movie screening. Excellent film would definitely recommend visiting. A cinema where family of all ages can visit subject to choice of movie you're seeing of course . Loved there was a toddler in our screen room and mum was between her seat and the pushchair but other guests didn't mind. It was a lovely time & I will definitely be visiting again 😁.

Love the place, but too expensive. Which is why it's best to go in the week to see a movie, when they do their cheap deals, as its so much cheaper. Which is a pity as the Friday and Saturdays are usually the best days to go, as you don't have work the next day. If the snacks were cheaper I would buy from there, but I prefer save money and to just bring my own stuff. I would say a lot more people would enjoy going out to see a movie if the price was reduced.

Me and my friend went to the cinema today and unfortunately Andy served us. We are both 15, and didn’t know that a child ticket was for 14 and under, it was not made clear to us anywhere and when we asked for a child ticket he immediately put us down for student without explaining the age ranges for the pricing, and spoke to us with a very blunt and off Standish tone, as if to respond in a way that was retaliation because we weren’t under 14 and didn’t know. He proceeded to tell us that we should’ve booked because it is term time, the way this was said to us was as if we were being told off. But really he should’ve apologised about the situation and recommend another viewing of something else, however we had to ask this as he was very unwilling to be of service to us. I felt that this was completely unprofessional and unhelpful as we could’ve bought a ticket for a different viewing however he just stood there and looked at us with a disapproving stare. If you are management, please consider telling him to be mindful of his tone and improve on his customer service perhaps he would earn more commission if he responded in a more welcoming manner and gave us alternative options as a normal salesman should do.

Nice park but could so with a new path and now no public toilets open makes it a difficult place to spend the day with the family, unless you buy something from either cafe, and then you can use their toilets. Helen Garden is a tranquil and beautiful garden located near Holywell Beach in Eastbourne. It features a stream, small waterfall, pond, and diverse plants, providing the perfect setting for a peaceful stroll or unwinding. The garden also hosts events like the Eastbourne Half Marathon and Coastal Trail Runnings. Visitors can enjoy the kids' play area and grab reasonably priced refreshments at the cafe. However, some visitors have noted issues with cleanliness in the toilets that need to be addressed by maintenance.
Pleasant park along the cliffs with a small golf course and children’s park too. Free Parking the road for up to 4 hours. Get there early! In the same area there are 3 cafes. One in the park. Another near the park and last one on the beach below. Steep steps to the beach but there is a road to the beach so it’s wheelchair accessible.

A truly charming stop at the end of the hike from Birling Gap into Eastbourne. Helen Garden is beautifully maintained- clean, peaceful, and full of character. It's the kind of place that invites you to pause, breathe, and take it all in. The entrance signage clearly lists available facilities (toilets, seating areas, etc.), which is super helpful for first-timers or hikers coming down from the cliffs. I only popped in briefly to catch a glimpse of the rainbow touching the sea- but what a sight! Definitely worth a linger if you're walking into town.

I would have given this 5 Stars because the location is spectacular with stunning views across Eastbourne and the Bay beyond with South Downs and Beachy Head right behind you. The only thing that lets it down is the fact that the cafe is run by the Cadence Cafe group. The menu is severely Limited and the prices compared to the portion sizes are among the highest you could find in this town. My suggestion is to bring your own picnic. There is a freshwater fountain available to provide drinking water for yourselves and your pets.

I cant reccomend the boom battle bar enough! The mix of games—like axe throwing, shuffleboard, and crazy golf—made the night fly by. The atmosphere was energetic but not too hectic, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The drinks were great, and the venue had a cool vibe. Perfect spot for a fun night out with friends. Absolutely terrible experience. The food was bland, poorly prepared, and clearly not fresh. The service was just as bad-slow, inattentive, and rude. The staff seemed completely uninterested in helping and acted like serving customers was a burden. On top of everything, the place was shockingly unhygienic: sticky tables, dirty floors, and even the utensils didn't look clean. I honestly regret eating here and would never recommend this place to anyone and not to mention the staff were swearing and acted like they were going to punch me

Visited boom battle bar on the 3rd of September at around 10:30pm with my mate. We both went up to the bar and he asked for a pint of cruzcampo which was happily accommodated for by the member of staff behind the bar. I then followed up by asking for a double vodka and orange which seemed to be acknowledged by the same member of staff who began making my drink. I don’t know if he thought I was drunk or not but I clearly saw him put in the glass and only orange juice. When I tasted the drink and couldn’t taste vodka I had my friend try it too who also confirmed that there was no vodka in it as suspected as we both saw the member of staff make the drink without vodka. I then asked for another drink as was refused service with the member of staff stating that even if I showed him my ID he would not serve me an alcoholic drink. Bad experience for my first time visiting and won’t be returning due too the poor customer service I received.
Jake C — Google review
Cam C is an amazing host!! He made our night. We had an excellent night out and will definitely be returning! The axe throwing and Shuffleboard are addictive, the staff are wonderful - really friendly and helpful - and the venue is nice. The table with swings is an awesome touch. You cannot drink before or during axe throwing, so if you plan on consuming alcohol, start with that game first. I'd recommend pre-booking Shuffleboard because it was in use all evening but I think the rest of the games had good availability and we could have waited until the night. It is expensive. With a few games and cocktails for 2, we spent over £250. They only do 'picky' food, so we went elsewhere for dinner and returned later in the evening. My only complaint is that some of the staff NEED cocktail mixing classes. We had a few lovely drinks and a few that were absolutely awful. I paid almost £10 for a mojito that I couldn't drink at all. I didn't complain because the staff really were lovely - they just need further training to work behind the bar. Ladies, press the big red button in the toilets!

Always a plus There are walks in every direction with views over Eastbourne to Hastings...and even France on a very clear day In other directions you can see all the way over to Beachy Head, East Dean, Arlington reservoir and North as far as the Heathfield ridge. It's very dog friendly, but there are sheep grazing so best to keep dogs on leads at times.

Cracking spot if you like hiking or dog walking, great for all but very hilly.. A bit of a problem some nights with the young idiots who park up there but overall has stunning views and a spot for radio hobbiests

Performing arts theater
Printers Playhouse, located in central Eastbourne, is a vibrant community arts hub that offers a diverse range of artistic programs including theatre productions, workshops, actor training, and live music events. The venue features an inviting and eclectic interior with a cozy atmosphere and hosts comedy nights, contemporary theater performances, and live music from local bands.
I've spent just under a month in Eastbourne and this place has become sort of a local for me. I am so grateful for this place, it's one of very few in Eastbourne where I feel welcomed by a community. I live for the karaoke nights (shout out to Oli for hosting an amazing event weekly!) but as well they have a lot of events on that can entice anyone, some class cocktails and amazing service by very friendly faces Thank you very much to the entire team at Printers for making me feel at home

Went for the Wednesday Open Mic Jam night, the host was fantastic and he made the night really enjoyable, I even had a go myself, it felt like such a welcoming environment, we weren't sure what to do for the evening and stumbled across this on Google, well worth a visit.

Great venue for live music & arts. Friendly atmosphere.

Yet again another amazing event with amazing people. I absolutely love your weekly events such as Olioke (karaoke 🎤), open stage and much more. This is definitely the place to be if you don't know what to do with yourself in Eastbourne.. It also has such a beautiful painted garden out back. My new favorite spot
Carys M — Google review
Loe this place! Amazing atmosphere, garden, great friendly staff, loads of music themed events including: open mic night, karaoke, piano performances, bands etc. The only issue is seating, it is a very small venue and during any of the events getting a seat can be impossible if you don't arrive at least half an hour before it starts.

Wonderful little place to go for a laugh. Music and fun times for all. Great service with some of the nicest people! Love it all

Wonderful local venue with friendly staff, great vibes, music and theatre and community arts at the heart of all it does 🙂

Adventure sports center
Children's party service
Ninja Warrior UK Adventure in Eastbourne offers an exhilarating experience for both kids and adults, featuring a variety of challenging obstacles to conquer. Located in the heart of the beacon shopping centre, this adventure park provides ample seating, a restaurant with drinks and snacks, and free lockers. With three different courses catering to various difficulty levels and a bouncy castle, visitors can enjoy an action-packed day out. The convenient location also offers affordable parking options.
We used Ninja Arena for our daughter's birthday party. The process was smooth from start to finish, the staff member contacting me via text in the lead up to the day was extremely helpful and informative and during the party all staff members were pleasant and accommodating. My daughter and her friends had a lovely time, I would recommend this place to anyone wanting something a bit different for their kids.

We booked 4 tickets for my autistic son’s birthday and we had no indications that it was closed at all. The website let us book tickets a few days before and never said that they had been closed for months. We travelled quite far too come and do this experience and my kid was so disappointed and had a melt down when we got there and there were bailiffs letters on the door! I have emailed both emails called plenty of times and messages on instagram and haven’t heard anything back. I would like a refund
Amelia B — Google review
I find this place thrilling for children, teenagers and even adults. Its a way of keeping fit while still having fun. The cherry on the cake is the location, which means that there is nearly inexhaustible parking space. Oh did I forget to mention that the parking space is very affordable?

Two adults on a Saturday afternoon... Lots of fun, great service by staff - including super fit 'ninjas' flying around the place and helping the kids. Food and drinks prices were okay (we didn't eat, so can't comment on quality). Free lockers available and plentiful. It's much smaller than the pictures indicate. There are essentially 3 courses - one difficult, one medium, and one for tots - and a bouncy castle. Each course takes 5-10 minutes. We were exhausted and a little bored after about half an hour. I would return though, it was a good experience! However, as much as I love kids, I recommend going on the adults only night on a Thursday if you have none with you. The kids outnumbered the adults about 10-1 and we felt a little out of place. They also expect your help a lot, which I don't mind at all but I feel I have to be careful interacting with other people's kids, especially in such a physical setting. Also, they're far too fit and energetic and made me feel old! 😅

There is disabled access to the seating area. Clean and tidy, faculties all immaculate. Would recommend for the party rooms Aircon or at least a fan. Can become a 'hot box'. Friendly staff, even the ninja, he may show off but happy to help and guide anyone.
Balenostyling — Google review
Took my daughter and her friend and they absolutely loved it. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the facilities were first class. Highly recommend.
Gary B — Google review
My daughter had great fun. She enjoyed visiting the arena. However I believe a drinking water fountain will be very helpful and I personally find the sitting area a bit dark. Also when it's the peak time, there isn't enough space to sit. Otherwise it's great for a family day out. Thank you so much for clean and friendly environment..
Preety H — Google review
The facilities have been upgraded and areas now have more padding. Steps have been added to making it easier for the younger ones to battle the obstacles. The welcoming and friendly nature of the staff. A special mention to Andy whose hospitality was above and beyond. Kids were exhausted and still buzzing when we left. 10/10 would recommend multiple visits!

Outdoor activity organiser
Buzz Active Eastbourne is the perfect destination for those seeking adventure on the water. Located conveniently in the heart of Eastbourne and at Cuckmere, this non-profit center offers a variety of aquatic activities such as paddle boarding, sailing, windsurfing, and kayaking. Whether you're a couple looking to share an experience or families wanting to introduce kids aged 8 and up to exciting water sports, Buzz Active has something for everyone.
Booked a taster session, kayak and paddle board, for my kids (aged 8 and 11). Instructor was fantastic and they had a great time. All the gear was provided and they were well looked after, learning the basics and having a lot of fun while doing it. Buzz active came across as highly professional and reliable and I would unreservedly recommend them and will definitely use them again.
Ian C — Google review
Really enjoyed my paddle boarding lesson with Josh, he was very personable and provided good tuition. I felt safe in his hands for my first go. Thank you Josh!

The family did a windsurf taster day and it was a good fun, perfect to see if it's for you, we even had ago in the sea....we most definitely be back next summer

Great places to learn and become part of a club that includes windsurfing, paddle boarding, sailing and more. The staff are friendly and professional. Highly recommend.
Grim G — Google review
My daughter came with the guides this evening and it was chaos the staff seamed not much older than the children and stood around chatting. There was little help and bad organisation from the outset. An older gentleman seamed to be in charge ish if that’s what you can call it Could have bee. Organised soo much better
Darren S — Google review
Very professional and helpful staff. Thank you so much for getting my daughter back into loving the sea once again. Various activities throughout the four days, my daughter was nervous about meeting the other kids on the first day, but the staff do some 'get to know each other' icebreaker and hey presto we have great friends by the end of day 1.
