The most perfect location if you wanted easy access to the beach. It is literally the nearest hotel from the Zlatni rat beach. Very friendly and professional staff. The housekeepers did an amazing job in making our room clean. The room was so nice and comfortable. The breakfast was good and to be honest it was the best food we ate in Brac 🤣
From the moment Micki checked us into our accomodation, we could not fault a thing. The rooms were very clean and spacious, the service very obliging and second to none and the location was just a short walk to Europe's most famous beaches 'Zlatni Rat'. Our stay was awesome and would definitely recommend and come stay again. Could not fault a thing. Until next time. Ciao.
Perfect location walking distance to Zlatni Rzt beach and 15 min to Bol. Room was beautiful, clean, spacious and quiet. The front desk were so helpful all of them. The housekeeping came and cleaned and changed the towels every day. Breakfast on the terrace was amazing!
Impeccable location, nice and comfortable room, and incredibly kind and helpful people! From reception to the restaurant, Dusan, Miki, Mate, Josip and Ognjen were all so kind and really made my stay wonderful. Thank you!
our air conditioner didn't work. we told the staff and they promised to look during the day while we are at the beach. when we came back from the beach they forgot so they were making it the whole time we were in the room. the first night we were without air conditioning, and the second in a room with masters. they then transferred us to another room only after the intervention of the manager. the staff said there were no available rooms even though there were more available on the booking. then on the last night we were transferred again to the third room because the second one was reserved. The hotel has potential, but with management work. it is not enough to offer the guest 0.2 dcl champagne as an excuse. someone took their time and paid for a vacation and that vacation looked like I described.
I just got back home and couldn’t resist writing this review right away. From the moment we booked, we felt completely taken care of. When we arrived, we were welcomed by Miki, Dusan, Katerina, Ognjen, and the rest of the team—each one radiating warmth and professionalism. This place is more than just a hotel. It’s a little world where you have everything you need—delicious meals from breakfast to dinner, a shop on site, live music at dinner, and views that honestly look like a postcard. But what truly made our stay unforgettable was the staff. They catered to every need with a smile, even arranging a golf cart ride to and from our car (a small detail that made a big difference in the summer heat!). 💙 A heartfelt thank you to Miki for his kindness, attentiveness, and genuine care—he truly set the standard for what hospitality should feel like. And of course, a big shout-out to Dusan, Katerina, and Ognjen as well—their warmth and professionalism made our stay unforgettable 💙 If I could suggest one tiny improvement, it would be lighter short-sleeve uniforms for the staff in those hot 30–40°C summer days—they’d still look elegant, and it would make their work more comfortable.
From the moment we arrived at Zlatni Rat Beach Resort, we were completely captivated by its unbeatable location—just steps from the iconic Zlatni Rat Beach, with its crystal-clear waters and unique pebble shoreline. It truly doesn’t get better than this. The resort itself is thoughtfully designed for convenience and comfort. Parking is just seconds from the rooms, which are spotless, stylish, and equipped with everything you need for a relaxed and carefree stay. And the food? Absolutely exceeded my expectations. I’ll admit I was skeptical about hotel dining at first, but this is no ordinary hotel restaurant. It's a proper, high-quality restaurant connected to the resort—and honestly, one of the best around. I highly recommend trying the octopus salad—it's a standout dish. What truly made this stay exceptional, though, was the staff. Their warmth, humor, and dedication elevated our entire experience. At reception, Biljana, Dusan, and Miki were incredible—always available, helpful, and full of that genuine Balkan hospitality that makes you feel like family. In the restaurant, Josip, David, and Strahinja not only provided fantastic service but also brightened our days with laughter, generous touches, and spot-on recommendations. Honestly, it’s the people here who will bring me back. The building is beautiful, the beach is world-class, the food is delicious—but it’s the staff that made it unforgettable. If I had to find one downside? The mosquitoes—but even they couldn’t dampen such an amazing experience. PS: I read a review stating that there is a strong smell from the sewage which I did not feel as everything around us only smelled of lavenders, the sea and some great food.
We recommend this hotel! Very nice and comfortable hotel with excellent food, views and service. The staff is super helpful. Katarina from the office and Dusan, the driver who took care of our luggage were very helpful 🙏👍. Love to come back!

Fantastique and challanging walking. The road is well signed, full of stones but good for walking. For us with a 8 year old boy took 3 hours to walk up. The view is beautiful. At the top there is a small bar with icecream, coffee and souvenires. To go up and down it was about 10 kms. Challanging but beautiful.
We drove to the top. I can't imagine hiking it in the heat. The views were amazing. There was a small cafe at the top but the views were stunning. I would be careful at the top around the cliff edges. Most of the island has a lot of rock but this drive gives you some interesting forest time as well on the way up!
It's the tallest mountain in the isle of braç, and the view is amazing. You can clearly see the Zlatni rat beach from up there and also the very cool formation of the island in front (Hvar island if i'?m not mistaken) which I thought looked like a hand reaching out. 10/10, definitely would recommend
Amazing spot!! Went there for sunset and left in total awe. The access is very easy through a pine forest and uphill there’s a small free parking, after which you have to walk a paved road for 5-10 minutes to reach the top. Amazing views of the Hvar and Vis islands, also of Zlanti Rat beach and, of course, Bol and the rest of southern Brac. Must see spot on the island.
One of the most beautiful beaches I've seen in Croatia. It's on the island of Braz. The island is easily assecable from Split. A 50 minute ferry ride to Supetar.
Challenging hike but very fascinating. The trail was not identified on Google Maps and we had trouble finding the path in the beginning, luckily there were marks for hikers everywhere (see the red and white circle in the picture). The hiking trail starts from road UI. Gornje Podbarje where there is a hiking plate. We followed the marks and it took c. 3.5 hours to go up and c. 2 hours to go down. There were loose gravels everywhere on the path and it can get tricky especially on the way down. The view from the top was amazing and there is a table and a bench for picnic. There is also a small shop for refreshment. The mountain peak is also accessable by car/bike. For hikers, bringing plenty of water and food is recommended. Overall, it's worth a visit.
Vidova Gora is an absolutely amazing place. The view from the top is simply stunning – especially if you come just before sunset. As someone from this region, I really recommend visiting during that time because the light and atmosphere are truly magical. Just a small tip: bring something warmer to wear, as it can get chilly up there even in summer. The road that takes you through the forest to the top is also really beautiful and adds to the experience. The only downside is an abandoned building near the viewpoint – it looks a bit neglected and spooky. Hopefully, it gets renovated in the future to match the beauty of the rest of the place.
Great place to walk or cycle up, wonderful panorama view

It was closed when I went by today, Saturday, February 1st, 2025, at 1 pm. Nonetheless, there was a black and white cat kind enough to greet me after I’d rang the bell. 😄 It’s a beautiful experience and a great place for contemplation during the offseason.
Really great hike, not so difficult, 40 minutes in one direction approximately. For me one of the top 3 places on Brač.
The place is nice and well preserved. A small kitten greets you near the waiting zone so prepare some food for him))) You have to wait for guided tour but not for too long. Payment 8 euro in cash only. The path to the monastery is quite challenging: you have to walk down around 20 minutes from parking. The road sometimes is quite steep and stones are quite big and some of them quite slippery. I have attached the photos. If the weather is sunny take a lot of water with you as you cannot buy it there (but you can buy some wine). If the weather is rainy please think again as some stones become very slippery while wet. And use hiking shoes with thick sole because even running shoes are not the best choice as you can feel every stone and it makes uncomfortable. The way back takes 30 minutes as it goes up. Also worth mentioning that road to the parking can be unpleasant for your car: the last 5 kilometers there is no asphalt or concrete, just stones. Usual city car will pass but with some scratches.
Really great value tour and tasting for €6 per person. Guide very informative. Had the olive grappa to start then tasting at the end of various jams with yummy olive oil and bread. Great experience.
Great explanation in the Blaca Museum in English. We learned a lot about the place and how they ušed to live here. The way to the hermitage is a bit difficult but it is worth it.
8 eur for ~30 mins tour with guide in English, very interesting expositions. Requires 2km walk in a mountainy terrain, normal shoes recommended
The hike there and back is very nice. The views from the hermitage are lovely. We never got to see the inside as the tour guide was done for the day. Overall, it's a nice experience to see once. Also - definitely drive all the way down the first road to the designated parking area. I don't recommend walking from the main road, you'll be walking for ages.
Definitely worth visiting! 30 minutes hiking (mostly downhill) to the place and a bit more on the way back. Have a good sneakers and plenty of water. You can buy a bottle of water at the monastery for 30 kn. There is no toilet at the monastery.

Compared to other 5 star rated beaches, this beach actually is amazing. Why? 1. Secluded area, not too many people during end of June 2. Great place to swim. Please bring your water shoes. 3. Clean water! You don’t even need goggles to see the fish 4. A lot of space to sit and lay next to the water. There is even a wooden path on the right side of the bay where people lay or swim next to. 5. Bring your own food and please don’t litter 🚯 6. No tickets needed to enter (not sure why people think so)
Nice sandy beach, but very very busy on a weekday afternoon in July. Water is shallow, and is a beautiful blue. Sand is nice and soft. Shaded areas on the side to set up !
Cute little site overlooking the beach and the bay it is set in. Solid information can be found on the buildings entrance and it is a nice place to visit after a day spent on the beach below. You get to see an old church with a baptism pool inside and one made later on the side of the structure. Easy accessible by foot from the road but the road itself is quite steep and narrow so be careful when driving down from the main road.
This place is kind of abandoned. High grass covers most of the pathways. If you came for the beach might be worth to take a look as it right next to it. Otherwise it’s not worth to come here just to see the ruins.
Really cool old 5th, 6th century Christian basilica if you're into that kind of thing. You can see the whole construction and a couple of little gems like the sarcophagus by the entrance and a supercool baptism pool with a view you can't beat... It's just a short walk from the beach...
A small sandy beach on Brac northern shore. Narrow drive down, a bit dodgy if cars coming the other way. Personally, not for us and we stayed only 30 mins as not suitable for our autistic son who eats sand! There's so many better beaches on Brac that you can get to by car without paying a fee. We were not impressed by the dirty looking yellow sand and litter, plus payment to park, although there is a nice looking cafe/bar and sunbeds. A lovely view, but again, Brac is full of nice beach views and in much better locations than this. I think it's popular with small kids/families that want a bit of sand.
This may seem off the beaten track but we'll worth visiting. Parking cheap, free sun loungers , a shallow bay with sandy beach. Good cafe and restaurant next door as well as changing facilities.
I mean, yeah.. it's worth one visit.. (if you have plenty of time) - nice view from the coast. But on the other hand, we haven't noticed any special here - even though articles say it so.. Narrow road goes down to the beach, and when you get down, well, nothing really wows you. I loved the donkeys showing up at the fence.. but you know what.. you can find way better beaches nearby. I took a picture of our visit ( I admit we came on a rainy day) but unfortunately it wasn't a satisfying experience. :( Hope you guys will have better time here!

The beach is amazing and the sea is very clean — you can even see the bottom. It's just a little cold. The view is fantastic, with the sea on one side and mountains and greenery on the other. You can swim while enjoying the beautiful scenery. There are plenty of cafes and bars around, and the prices are average. If you want, you can rent a sunbed. I really liked it — it's definitely a place worth seeing.
Beautiful beach, no major waves so the water is very flat and swimmable. Sometimes there’ll be some fish in the sea to swim around. Pebble beach so please bring water shoes otherwise you’ll be hobbling, Absolutely beautiful. It’s about a 10min bike ride from the main port.
Beautiful beach — definitely worth the visit! I had read several reviews saying it gets very crowded, and since we went in August (high season), we decided to take the 6 a.m. ferry to arrive around 7 a.m. From 7a.m until 9:30-10am the beach was still quiet and almost empty, and we enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere for a few hours before it started to fill up later in the morning. You can really see the difference in the photos! Tip: arrive early and choose a sunny day — the water looks much more vibrant and blue when the sun hits it. Totally worth it!
We arrived by the local Arriva bus service from Supetar to Bol and walked along the promenade to the beach area. The walk is predominantly flat and the pathway is easy to walk. There are places to stop to have something to eat/drink and the public toilets are well signposted. The beach is free to visit and is stunning. There are places where you can hire water sports activities and bars and restaurants to stop at. We walked along the pebble beach and stopped for an ice-cream and a drink and found the prices were the same as anywhere else on Brac. Definitely worth visiting
An absolutely amazing place. The beach changed shape every time we went there. The water is crystal clear but it was pretty cold when we were there. Beach was spotless. Easy to rent sun loungers, parasols, etc. Just scan the QR code and pay. Definitely worth a visit if you are on the island.
Magnificent beach, famous for a good reason. Various low or high adrenaline beach activities are offered. Or you can just relax and enjoy! 🙂 Nearby place of Bol and surrounding area offer accommodation, restaurants, bars, daily boat trips, windsurfing and other activities.
The beach is very beautiful, the water is clear and warm and its particular shape is interesting to visit. But unfortunately it has become way too tourist-oriented for my taste, everything is insanely expensive (compared to prices on other beaches on the island), it’s very crowded throughout the day, the only natural shade area is under the pines in the center of the beach, where there are also located countless food and drink trucks, and you get to lay down in a smell of gas and fried food. Although the natural beauty of the beach is undeniable, overall the day spent there turned out to be the least fun day on the island.
Got the ferry over from split. 80 euros return for both of us. Had breakfast in Bol, walked to the beach maybe 20 mins. It was already very hot 9am July 25. Plenty of sun beds. 39 euros for 2 beds and unberrella Went to the bar for a nice cold drink. Nice atmosphere. Nothing is cheap, remember this.

We had a wonderful tour today with a young man. He was knowledgeable and fun! We learned a lot about the winery business and history of Croatia. We liked the first white wine - local grape and enjoyed the red (a rose was served in between). We learned the story behind their white label. And did you know Srinagar Winery is the closest winery to the sea of any winery in the world?!!!
Stina is a must-visit on Brać. Their Rosè and Pošip are especially good. The local cheese and Pršut with olives made the perfect snack to pair with a few glasses in front of the beautiful Bol harbor. The winery is located in a nice historic building and is very beautiful inside. Great wines, great service. I’d highly recommend a visit!
I raved about this winery that I discovered in Bol 14 years ago. I am again thoroughly enjoying the wines. Igor, the waiter, who has served us over the last couple of nights is very friendly and knowledgeable about the wines.
The wine tour and tasting was very disappointing. We chose to do this on a rainy day in Bol, but I imagine a lot of the magic (and what justifies the higher price point), would be enjoying the tastings with beach views. Instead, we were stood inside and did not get a seat. We purchased the most expensive tasting but the tour guides barely spoke to us - they seemed to stand round everyone else giving them more detail on the wine they're drinking etc, but acted like we weren't there. Not sure if it's cause we looked a bit younger, or cause we're a queer couple, or something else entirely - but it didn't feel good. We were walking to the bar to grab multiple glasses of wine at a time and drink it without knowing what it was etc. We may as well have saved the money and just bought the wines ourself. Our tasting was at 5pm so by 6pm there was another tour going round and we felt hurried out and ended up gulping down the wine. The tour itself was maybe 20 mins, in about 3 rooms. Some of which were really thin so we ended up so far away from the guide that we couldn't hear a thing he was saying. It would make far more sense to tie the tour in with the actual wines we'd be tasting - explain them as we go so we can really appreciate what we are trying, rather than just seeing the machines that make them. And I'd suggest adding a cap to the people on a tasting, so everyone can have a more worthwhile experience. In a perfect world, rainy days would also mean a discount, so we aren't paying a 'by the beachfront' premium, when it can't be used. We spent about €77 on two tastings - not worth it and the whole experience put a dampener on our experience of Bol.
Lovely experience here - great wine, good explanations about the winery, gracious hosting with lovely local olive oil, cold cuts and cheeses, and kid friendly. Highly recommend a visit if you get to Bol - and try to find their wines even if you don't get there, they're excellent.
Good prosecco, good wine, nice place to sit at, also possible to sit at the beachside. It's very romantic. The atmosphere is special.
Absolutely amazing. Whole environment, sea, wine, vibe. You can sit in front of the winery on the tables that have a view on the sea or you can visit winery inside. There are lots of wines to choose from and also some dishes like homemade ham, cheese, olives. We enjoyed it. Recommended!
Wine tasting from small cruise boat. Only had whites which are okay. Need to come back someday and try their reds. Fun fact, closes winery in the world near an ocean.

In my opinion one of the best beach on this side of island. Beautiful color of water and its really clear. There is also a little bar, beer cost 4€, if you want to eat something they also offering food.
Great beach. One of the best water experiences on the island. Greta colours, temperature and views. Slightly ruined by the water playground for kids, who seemed to have better fun in the water. The playground is not a good idea for younger ones, so it made even less sense in general. The beach features a little bar that lacks beer in busier days, but it's pretty nice anyway.
Very nice small beach with bar and clean water.
Water 10/10 View 8/10 Beach 5/10 Infrastructure 1/10 Absolutely clear water and beautiful scenery. Beach itself is a small stone beach and not that comfortable but parking is quite close and free (but the parking spaces are very limited). While there is a small bar, there is no infrastructure like toilets or showers at the beach or anywhere in range
Pleasant beach. You can park cca 100m from there, easy to walk, but might be difficult if you have a baby buggy. Dont expect shadow, but waters are crystal clear and warmer than other beaches on Brač.
Came here in a cloudy day so not the most ideal time to enjoy it but seemed like a nice beach. There is some free parking near the cemetery
Very clean water and not very crowded which makes the beach perfect for relaxing and swimming. The only minus is that the whole beach is with rocks not with sand. It's a bit hard to be reached but it deserves. There is a beautiful view to the Croatian coast. You won't be dissapointed if you go there.

The wine tasting was extraordinary ! We tasted different kinds of rakija, 3 wines, a great cheese, olive oil, etc. We had a great conversation with our host Marko and he provided us with useful informations. The cats here are really cudly. I recommand ++ Thank you so much Marko! From the 4 French Canadians !
best thing we did in Brac! Marco was an amazing and well informed host. We got to sample a large collection of local spirits, wine and food. All of it was fantastic value for money. Marco walked us through each aspect of the tasting giving us plenty of information on Croatian culture and cuisine. All of this took place in the most beautiful courtyard. Over all a fantastic and unique experience.
Super nice experience! Marco is amazing and we had such a nice time in his company. We had some nice wine and enjoyed the yard a lot!
We have just experienced the most authentic experience of a family winery in Brac. The host Marko was informative, professional and personable! The drink and wine was unique, good value for money and a great experience! Marko had some fabulous stories about his family history in wine, Olive oil and ceramics. The nibbles were a perfect accompaniment to the drinks offered and we had a fantastic all round experience! Some small purchases were made for family back home but nothing was pushy, just an all round welcoming experience! Thank you Marko! We highly recommend!
We had a fabulous afternoon of wine tasting here! The setting was very quaint and homely, and the host was very welcoming. We learned all about the local traditions and way of life whilst sampling the delicious produce.
Wonderful afternoon in the company of our host Marco sampling his small batch wines in a lovely peaceful setting. Red, Rose and dessert wines all fresh and very good! Also, variety of Grappa. Tapas plate to accompany was excellent with local cheese, tuna pate, olive oil and bread. Thoroughly recommend when you are on Brac Island
My wife & i have done many wine tastings & tours over the years and I find the negative reviews of this particular experience to be rather misplaced & cruel to say the least. This vineyard is a small, bespoke local enterprise producing a mere 5,000 bottles per year. It is not a major producer & its product is locally consumed and not for export. Comparisons with other wine producers in other countries cannot & should not be made and the vineyard in Bol is a far bigger enterprise & producer. We found our host Marco to be an engaging and informative young man. The wines were interesting and given that this enterprise is only 20 years old, it will take time for the vines and wine to develop (this is a family run business with no external workforce). If you are visiting, accept that this is a young man making his way in the business, so support him and engage with him.
Had a great wine tasting experience. Highly recommended. Good selection of wines and drinks to try along with food. I took my own gluten-free bread along to try the olive oil. We, too , transfer from our complex to the venue. This was all arranged by Marko, which was really easy.

Such a wonderful and unique experience. The wine is very special and the food is magnificent. There aren't many people dining at the same time, which leads to a private and intimate dinner with attentive hosts and a beautiful atmosphere. Make sure you make a reservation well in advance, especially during the season!
A hidden gem on the island of Brač! Vinarija Senjkovic just hosted our party of six adults to an amazing 12 course lunch...or I should say...gastronomic adventure, paired with 8 of their outstanding wine selections. Sasha, the vintner, and his wife (so sorry, I have forgotten her name so she will be Madame Chef!) were perfect hosts...very accommodating (we were late for our reservation due to a late taxi), attentive, spoke excellent English and offered wonderful explanations of both the food and wine. Madame Chef prepared beautiful, innovative takes on traditional Dalmatian foods with presentations and taste combinations that would rival any Michelin starred restaurant. The wines were some of the best we had during our stay in Croatia and several were vintages not available publicly. The pours were generous and often repeated side by side for comparison with a similar wine style. The setting is very pretty and intimate as they only offer two seatings for lunch at a time. A definite must if you are visiting the island of Brač...just make sure that you make a reservation well in advance! Thank you for a truly wonderful afternoon Vinarija Senjkovic!
Without a doubt, this is fine dining in a family owned winery setting. Guests are limited to 12 per night, reservations are mandatory. Each course, about 12, is beautifully plated and delicious. The wine pairing is phenomenal as well. The husband (5th generation vintner) and wife (chef) are warm and charming. This is a "don't miss" for anyone that loves food and wine.
Funny math :/ The same summer in two different occasions first we order 3 bottles of wine and get it for a better price even though they came to deliver it but on a 2nd occasion we order 10 bottles and get the more expensive price per bottle and we go to Nerezisca ourselves to get it. Nice, standard quality wine but we won't be back...
I had the chance to visit Senjkovic Winery of back in 2018, where I was impressed with wine-making and facility that was carefully built at Brac island. I remember trying the Opolo Spoza and it being very good, but what I experienced with these two red wines (Bosso and Brocko ric) was another experience. I have known Senjkovic for their wines, but wow, these two red were delicious.
We drove all the way from the other side of the island and was turned away due to no reservation. They had no clients at the time of arrival and was very rude about it. The website did not state that reservation was a must. Clearly they do not need the business Do not recommend!!
We had a lovely tasting of great wines. For the full experience make sure to do a reservation. The owner was very friendly and was talked English fluently.
This was an outstanding experience.

Nice quite place with unique atmosphere. Just couple of meters from the only and very good restaurant in bay.

Skrip, Brac’s oldest settlement, stretching back approximately 3,000 years, crowns the Island of Brac in Croatia. Its Parish Church of St. Helen of the Cross, Kastel Cerineo, and the Muzej otoka Braca embody its religious, financial, artistic, and cultural heritage.. The island’s history is marked by frequent changes in rulership. Before Roman conquest, Illyrian tribes settled at a safe distance above Brac’s seafronts, where pirates were known to disrupt and destroy vulnerable inhabitants. However, the Illyrians were not always innocent victims as they themselves were often guilty of pillaging and disrupting peace. After the decline of the Roman Empire, the region experienced various changes: Slavic settlement, periods of Byzantine, Hungarian, Venetian, Austrian/Austro-Hungarian, and French rule during the Napoleonic Wars. In the 20th century, it became part of Yugoslavia, and now, modern Croatia. With the breakup of Yugoslavia in the 1990s, Brac became part of the independent Republic of Croatia, a sensitive topic to this day. My visit to Skrip was one of the most mystical I've had. The very air whispers tales of power, religion, and unshakeable faith. Though the human ear strains to hear, we must settle into the mystery that abides: our inability to receive the multitude of stories coming in. They arrive as if transmitted from thousands of years all at once, each one canceling out the next. Historically, humans have built places of worship in spiritually significant locations. Rounding the right side of St. Helen’s church, a wave of awe stole my breath, the weight of 3,000 years of devotion settling upon me. I wondered who those people were, whose strength of faith had created this palpable vortex of spiritual power. The energy of Skrip remains, an enigma trapped in ancient stone. It is a place that leaves one pondering faith's mysteries, and wondering how to tap into this force of enduring faith in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Very disappointing. We had looked forward to our visit after reading earlier reviews. The museum only opened at 3pm despite the sign on the building and the official website showing it open each 09:00-19:00 each Mon-Sat. The receptionist spoke no English at all, and unfortunately all 3 large display screens, which presumably could show information in languages other than Croatian, were unplugged. When I pointed to the displays the lady just said "no". There was no booklet available to tell you about the museum, and very little written expkanation of exhibits, or of the remains outside, in any language. There was one excellent sign in Hr & En tucked away on an inner door giving a *very* interesting ancient history of Brac. The building housing the museum does look very interesting. Thr next door olive oil museum offered a much more rewarding experience.
We left dissapointed, might be the worst museum we visited in Croatia in the last few years. Main problem is it lacks in both storytelling and multimedia. Storytelling is nonexistent, multimedia was not working. Lacking in vision and content, very small and uninformative. Here and there you can find A4 papers taped to a wall with random sticky tape that looks like it will fall off anytime now. There is so much potential in Brač's history (various cultures, wars, pirates, shipowners, immigration, etc.), and they show you a random shovel from 20th century. To be fair there are some interesting pictures and stories about sheephearding (from 2015 Night of Museums event). Only thing worth seeing is the Škrip panorama - museum building itself, viewpoint, old castle and church nearby which are all very cool and beautiful.
Best oral presentation by a guide we ever experienced. We all loved it. Thank you very much. The collection was a good presentation of local crafts, history and life on the island. It is a small muzeum but we will remember our visit.
Most things are from 19th-20th century apart from one room with Roman and Prehistoric remnants. No English speaking guide. The price is 5€ for adults, 3€ for students over 14 years old and 2€ for kids up to 14 years old
We had a lovely afternoon at the Museum of Brač and could not recommend it enough. It is a small museum, however, the curator was extremely informative and provided us with an enthusiastic history of the island and items within the museum. Additionally, providing us with insight on other places to visit across the island varying from other museums and restaurants which have local island delicacies. For two adults we paid €5 euros each and the presentation given lasted around 40 minutes. We cannot recommend it enough!
Old village and museum of the island very recommended, great view of the valley...
what a nice cute museum! the guide was really very nice and told us the whole story… BY HEART! she really knows a lot and does it with so mich passion. its interesting to see brač‘s history, there id do much to tell. you will enjoy and learn a lot.

Nice and ancient chapel. We came from Via Ferrata and left through hiking trail. There is a beautiful view point to Split. Be careful and follow the hiking trails, there are a lot of traps in nature. I almost fell to the narrow and deep hole in rocks.
It’s a chapel more than a church but the walk up the hill is worth it. The church is a basic stone structure but fits nice in the surrounding area. The view from there is splendid: one can see Split and the island Brač in the distance.
For inexperienced climbers a terrific challenge to climb the 441 metres. Lots of beautiful views all around. Greeted by bumblebees, skinks and mountain goats on my way up. On top it's just divine. Peaceful and appealing. I climbed in the morning and there was dew around a fair bit, requiring secure footing when descending more so than ascending.
Great, reasonably difficult, but interesting walk around mountain.Left house on Domovinskog rata street about 4pm,went up through olive gardens, then follow sing red dot with white circle.Beatifull picturesque sceneries all away to to church St.Yura.Dipence how you choose your pass you can go around a mountain. Back home around 9pm. Recommended, good day out)
Cool little chapel on Perun hill. It is very well connected to the main road. Takes about 1 hour of hiking. Great views.
This part of Poljicka planina (mountain) is called Perun as was the name of Slavic Zeus/Jupiter. There is small church with nice view on Stobrec, Split and Kastela bay with Kozjak mountain on the right. You can reach it from Gornja Podstrana from south or come from Tugare along the Poljicka planina as we did and then go to Vilar before Srinjine village.
Very cool landmark and a good place to rest. The view and the church are definitely worth the climb.
Nice trail with a view!

We loved exploring Brac and the off road adventure - our photos don't capture the true beauty of the island! Tino was so knowledgeable, passionate and honest about life on Brac and its history. We went on the tour with our 6 year old and she equally enjoyed the day. We loved the tapenade and olive oil at the museum, as well as our time at the family farm - we were made to feel so welcome and enjoyed the delicious lamb and fresh fish, with homemade wine 😋 all in all, an amazing day that really showed us the beauty of Croatia at every turn. One of the best tours we have been on - would thoroughly recommend!
We had an amazing time on the explore Brac tour. We went on the Zlatni Rat tour which included a visit to the olive oil museum, Vidova Gora, Zlatni Rat beach and lunch in a seaside restaurant. We were driven all around the island seeing lots of cool views, small towns and local quarries, learning the history of the island. Tino was an excellent tour guide, he had so much to tell us about the area. We booked directly their website, the booking process was very easy.
What a great day! We arrived in Milna by boat and we were wondering what to do that afternoon. From a local resident, we got information that Explore Brac does day tours and we checked their web. They were very professional and we went on half day tour with 4x4 vehicle around the island. We tried great traditional dish and wine tasting and we went on Vidova Gora and Jaksic Gallery. Really enjoyed this tour and next year we would like to visit Milna again and tour with them.
We did the cooking class with Andrea and Tino. It was the highlight of our trip. Such a wonderful day of experiencing the culture of Brac. A true farm to fork experience with wonderful people, wine, culture and ambience. A must for anyone visiting the area. I will be recommending Explore Brac to anyone wanting to travel to Croatia.
Wow! What a day exploring the beautiful island of Brac. Trip was arranged via WhatsApp prior to arriving in Croatia, instructions were clear and easy to understand. Throughout the day we were taken to various locations on the island in an old Austrian army truck which was an unusual and quirky method of transport; Splitska Pučišća Zlantni Rat Vidova Gora Blaca Monastery The final stop off was a family farm/vinyard where a lunch of fish/lamb, vegetables and wine was served - delicious. Tino, our guide, was brilliant, very interesting and informative and clearly knew every inch of the island taking us down roads (or should that be tracks) that enabled us to photograph some stunning scenery. Fully recommended
Out tour in Brac was simply amazing. Our guide Tino was very friendly and explained to us a lot of thing about local life and local culture. He brought to remote and stunning parts of the island which felt like they were only known from local people. The dinner in the winery at the end of the day was delicious!
On our honeymoon, my wife and I, organised a private tour of Brač with Explore Brač via Celine. The booking process was simple and Celine was helpful with organising the best tour to fit our schedule and asks. We had an amazing time with highlights including; eating at the Olive oil museum (try the kiwi marmalade), swimming at Zlatni Rat, the views from Vidova Gora and dinner at the Tomas winery (an absolute must and only do-able via this tour - the food and wine are incredible). Tino, our guide who drove us around the island all day, was an excellent tour guide who knew so much about the area, Brač and Croatia. He took a real interest in us and our lives and by the end of the day felt like an old friend. Thanks to Tino, Andrea and Celine for this excellent experience!
This was a great time! It was so much fun to see some of the hidden parts of Brac with Dino driving and Celine. The food/peka and wine at the winery were great too! It topped off a really fun day!!!!
