It's a nice place to walk around on a warm day, quite a bit of construction going on at the minute to extend the museum, though. The woods are beautiful and peaceful and good for exercising whether you're just out to walk the dog or go for a run. Also has toilets and a completely free car park, although it was pretty packed especially considering the kids are at school.
What a lovely day out! Great price, pay once and can return for a full year! There are some great exhibitions on lots to see! The mock street was so fascinating. Lovely grounds to walk around and have a picnic too! Highly recommend.
New playground area is lovely, good for all ages. The cafe is now renovated with modern toilets as always a bonus. Butterfly world is always a hot, they live the meercats and other creatures inside. The museum is very affordable to get into, an annual family pass is worth it. Kids love the old street and especially the sweet shop. There is a river walking distance that they can go and feed the ducks. The skate park also excellent for all ages, scooters and bikes.
Went to the butterfly 🦋 world whole family really enjoyed it. Went in twice within the same day. Also went on the teesside princess boat cruise thing and that was really good aswell the staff were friendly and pleasant and the food and drink aboard the boat was amazing aswell well worth the cost for the boat and food and butterly world amazing day out
My children had a great time playing for hours at the park here. There is so many different things to play on and its been done up since my last visit which i didn’t think could be improved and it was so over the moon. Lovely cafe here reasonably priced food and drink and nice clean toilets to use. They also have a big skate park here where it can be used for skates, skate boards, bikes and scooters. Absolutely brilliant fun for most ages, probably 5+. Lots of places to eat a picnic on the grass or tables and lots of walks to do here. Right by the water gives you lively views to enjoy also. The Museum is great place and the children will enjoy that too walking down a victorian street. Parking is free, which can only be a bonus as there are not many places that do that anymore. So come to Preston Park!!!
Museum closed today, butterfly world Amazing, new playground getting built, skate park, public toilets and plenty walks, and it's free to park.
A great day out or just for a walk. Preston park has it all. A beautiful museum that is great for all age groups, and lovely cafes that serve fresh food. You can walk for miles around the grounds and by the river tees. It’s even got Butterfly world for the younger ones. The kids play areas is currently under construction and getting a fresh new look, but looks like it’ll be completed soon. Plenty of parking available. Parking is free and has charging points for the electric vehicles. The park is a regular visit for me and my dog Rosie.
So much to do! Something for everyone. Park, museum, cafe. So much space, clean toilets, friendly staff in the cafe, prices are reasonable too.

Butterfly World is an experience that can only be described as magical. With stunning flora and gorgeous butterflies, it's truly a sight to behold. Additionally, they also house a variety of other animals and fish. If you are in the area, please do yourself a favour and stop in. Admission is £6 per adult, and this is a must-see spot. I will likely be returning, if for nothing else, than just the relaxing atmosphere and tropical climate held by the hidden gem.
Great trip for the little ones. You probably spend about 45 mins max here, but if you get a stamp you can reenter at anytime after a visit to the nearby Preston Park. There was loads of different butterflies 🦋 one landed on my head too! There's checklists (unsure if free or not) to spot different butterflies and carp fish food (20p per bag) to feed the fish on the way round. There's also an exotic animals area with snakes and lizards (behind screens). It is is hot in here for obvious reasons but not unbearable. Would visit again when visiting the nearby park. Under 5s are free.
Very cheap for adults and kids under 5s are free. We love the place. Especially my four year old. The staff are lovely and friendly. The owner even gifted our daughter a toy butterfly. We couldn't thank them Enough. You can return as many times as you want on the smae day if you get a stamp and that allows time to visit Preston Park and the museum. It's that good all round. We visit regularly.
Had a brilliant day out at Preston park. Our granddaughter (age 6) particularly loved "Butterfly World", it was wonderful to see her little face light up when the butterflies came near her. The different colours of the butterflies are beautiful and amazing. Be warned, it is very hot in there, lol. There is also a great play park that caters for all ages. Plus the are loads of benches and seats and a huge grass area if you want to have a picnic or a rest. All in all a great day out for all the family.
We were in there for 9 minutes. It is lovely but extremely small, less butterflies from the last time I remember. I would go back but when Preston park is properly back open as the museum is closed until September and the play park and cafe are getting refurbishments.
Lovely place, with a great collection of butterflies and other reptiles. The collection of cocoons where we could see butterflies crawling out of was fun to watch. Pretty small though. We barely spent 15mins.
Another Ideal spot for taking kids , it’s 6.50 per adults. This is a green house, with butterflies, fishes, meerkat, reptiles. It’s quite warm inside, recommend not to wear jackets. Plenty of parking available, front and back side. Opposite to the Butterfly world there huge open ground and play areas . There is also cafe sells ice creams, hot drinks and sandwich’s .
A beautiful place, lovely and warm inside! An amazing experience to see the butterflies and other animals!

Really nice park and the new play area is great. Cafe was nice as well. With drinks, food and desserts. Outdoor and indoor seating
Ropner Park is reminds me of a Victorian Park where everything is beautiful. It is so well maintained. The pond itself is so beautiful. It has various varieties of ducks, moorhens or coots, swans and Canadian geese. Last time I visited there was damselflies and dragonflies. I spoke to a gentleman who said a new species of dragonfly was also using the lake. There is a brand new children's playground. Been open a couple of months after being refurbished. There is an onsite cafe. Food is lovely and reasonably priced. There is both in and outside seating. Park has a bowling green. Dogs are welcome. There is a band stand and a fountain. If you are lucky enough there are squirrels as well as green parrots x
During your walk you can enjoy watching lots of flower beds and green grounds. It has a beautiful lake with swans and ducks swimming in it. You can sit on benches or have a walk around this lake. There's a play area for kids with slides and swings. Kids would certainly love it. It is open to the public park and there are no tickets. For details I am adding pictures.
Definitely my favourite park to visit with my little one, we live out of town and still make the effort to come here whenever we can! The play park has a lot to offer, the cafe next to it also has beautiful, fresh food and the staff are always friendly and helpful with smiles on their faces. It's such a brilliant park for a 'walk round' too.
A nice public park for all families friendly, a great place to walk your dog,a hut for coffee teas and meals, and ice cream,a nice place for kids a big playground area also a tennis court and bowling.to buy seeds to feed mostly ducks, swans, they have a generous size duck pond, plenty of walking paths and many benches to rest ,also a bandstand a fountain lovely flowered areas plenty of entrances I think only parking outside of gates, more than enough space on grass for games and picnics or just to relax.all the people the public what I have seen are very friendly courteous and respectful in the park,I know you will enjoy the occasion my review 5 stars.
It's Stockton's jewel in the crown. A lovely park with plenty to see. Cafe, ice creams, children's playground, live music on Sunday afternoons through the summer on the bandstand, lake, swans, ducks and geese, bowling green, ornamental flower beds, grade 2 listed fountain. And lots of fetes fairs and festivals through the year.
It's a nice enough park. Good for having a stroll around. There's a large pond at the bottom with plenty of wildfire there including parakeets. There's a café that sells a variety of food, hot beverages, cold drinks, and ice creams. There's also one nearby the park on the corner. There are bus routes and bus stops nearby that are a short walk away. There's no car park at the park, just street parking. The opening times of the park vary with the seasons too, like most other parks.
Amazing I’m just near here and I use this park regularly, the team look after the grounds admirably dog walkers respect the space and pick up. Local’s are proud and I think younger group’s also. Thanks everyone.

Visited The Gardens at Wynyard. Was very impressed with what I saw. Cafe was clean, staff very helpful and food was nice. Thoroughly enjoyed the woodland walk. Will defiantly visit again in the near future
Beautiful garden especially when roses are flowering. Best time to visit is June July. Nice water feature running through ornamental garden. There is a kitchen Garden which helps provide restaurant with produce and wild area. The wild area has steep steps leading to it and not suitable for people with mobility problems, however the main garden is fine. There is a very nice coffee shop and gift shop.
Superb walled garden filled with colour and fragrant roses in the summer. Good cafe too. Wheelchair access is good , but the disabled loo is a bit cramped.
We made a 2-hour lunch stop at these beautiful gardens on the way home from a coach holiday, and it was a real treat! There were over a hundred varieties of lovely roses in the walled garden, all of them clearly numbered, and also pergolas, water features, and herbaceous borders filled with colourful flowers. The gardens looked very well maintained, and there were benches and picnic tables. I loved the woodland walk. The paths were a bit steep and uneven in places, but they were well signposted. Was amazed how tall some of the trees were, and along the route there were temples, a lovely view of the hall, and a children's trail with cute animal characters and an alphabet puzzle to solve. The café was quite expensive, but the food looked good quality, and it was hard to choose from the wide selection of delicious looking cakes on the counter! I enjoyed a tuna and cheese melt with crisps and coleslaw, followed by a raspberry and fig frangipani and a latte. Some nice homewares and gardening gifts in the shop. There's also a small garden centre and clean toilets. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would happily come here again.
Lovely place, £9 pound for a full year of visiting, the cafe is a lovely artisan cafe and an artisan shop too. Plenty of parking, seating both inside the cafe, outside the cafe and around the gardens.
We enjoy visiting the rose garden every June. We walk around with the guide to the various roses, planning which ones we would like in our gardens
We went there to the farmers market and then ended up.going to the beautiful well kept and elegant garden and the glass house restaurant....
I visit Wynyard coffee shop on a regular basis and really enjoy it. The only issue I have is with the cakes not being covered. From a hygiene point of view I do find this quite off putting. The cakes do look delicious but I generally just order drinks due to this issue. Also I hope the wheelchair that was always available at the entrance to coffee shop be brought back as this is very useful when coming with my disabled mother.

Had a day out with friends today, started in the the walled garden, roses starting to come out, others heavily in bud, they will be amazing when fully in bloom. Then went into the vegetable garden, lovely to see such beautifully kept beds. Enjoyed light lunch (starters) and drinks in the conservatory but chose to sit outside as weather was nice, food was amazing and beautifully presented. Our visit was made even better by our lovely waitress Millie, who looked after us very well. Finished off in the lovely gift shop. Now we have our annual ticket we have no excuses for not returning soon. Thank you
Pleasant gardens and nice staff but my opinion of the place is influenced somewhat negatively by the prices in the cafe. £2.95 for a can of Fanta! To me, that feels exorbitant.
Myself and my husband recently got married at Wynyard Hall. I fell in love with the venue from being a child visiting regularly during Christmas periods, it was dream to marry the love of my life there this year. I can't thank Emily our wedding co-ordinator enough for her kindness, attentiveness and support throughout the whole process , it truly meant the world to us, you truly made our dream come to life. Massive thankyou to Tom our master of ceremonies and Anika (& the whole team) for all your help throughout the day, you made it run smooth and was everything we could have imagined. If you are thinking about getting married at Wynyard Hall, do it! It was the best day of our lives We can't thank you enough x
Stayed in the Gardener's cottage. Fantastic access to gardens throughout the day. Breakfast on the lawn surrounded by roses. Cottage has only basic facilities. Public frequently tried to gain access to the cottage even when we were in. Lacked sufficient washing up liquid, no dishwasher. Excellent surroundings made up for this.
Visited Wynyard Hall Gardens. Had a lovely walk through the gardens then did the Woodland Walk by the lake. We enjoyed our lunch in the very spacious restaurant. Totally enjoyable 3 hr visit. Will definitely be coming back.
Yesterday, my daughter and I visited the Glass House restaurant for afternoon tea. Firstly, we received the food, which to be honest was not value for money. It was £29.95 per person, I was instantly disappointed We were surrounded by wasps. We were unable to eat some of the food due to wasps landing on it, I actually was unable to eat any of the jam and scones, these seemed to be the wasps favourite! I asked to be moved outside, which we did and no one offered to replace the food or jam that we'd been unable to eat. So it wasn't a very pleasant experience on the restaurant. The plus side, the grounds are stunning.
Stayed in the large cottage whilst attending a family wedding. The whole experience was perfect. Beautiful scenic location, perfectly kept grounds, friendly staff and stunning property with exquisite architectural and historical details.
Stayed in Maplewood Cottage for 2 nights. Overall was fine but kitchen very tired with cheap utensils; everything was bendy and not all robust. I wouldn’t have been so bothered but I’d rung the Hall and said we’d be cooking and should I bring decent pans/knives etc, I was assured that everything was top notch and it just wasn’t. . If offering a self catering facility it should be fit for purpose. Oven/hob very tricky to use, eventually found oven instruction but none for hob. No plug on bath Hamper thoughtful but please can guests have tea towels/washing up liquid etc that is actually fit for purpose? I took my own tea towels and it was just as well; 1 glass towel to cope with 6 plates/cutlery/ pans etc not enough. Radiator covers hanging off, chair broken in kitchen, stains on floor and ceiling where there had been a leak, just a bit scruffy. Lock on kitchen door had a “knack” which it shouldn’t. Heating was good and easy to use, hot tub well serviced and clean. Would have been so much more impressive if a good joiner just spent a couple of hours fixing all the broken bits. Fridge is NOT big enough to cope with the needs of 6 people. Plenty of room in kitchen to put a large fridge. Would stay again but would expect cheaper rate if nothing had been fixed. Ate in the Glasshouse on Friday, food was lovely but so many things not available; one burger left and 2 lamb (4 of our party wanted the lamb) At 7.30 on a Friday this seemed odd, especially when we’d booked weeks ago. Staff were lovely. Used the spa for massages which we couldn’t fault.

Great place for a woodland walk. There are different trails to take. It's quiet, lots of little bits and nooks to go round. Lovely little cafe on the grounds. Defo worth a trip out. My 6 year old loved the different woodland trails and the parks.
Took my child here for the first time today and I was extremely impressed by the facilities! He absolutely loved the play area for children and the amount of facilities to use seemed endless! There were 3 different play areas for him to explore with plenty to use and enjoy! The slides and climbing frames were particularly spectacular and he thoroughly enjoyed exploring!! The play areas are set in a stunning location with plenty of walks to be had (of which we didn’t do because I couldn't entice him away from the play area!). There's lots of space and woodland to walk your dogs as the parks are segregated away. Will definitely return. Bonus that they have toilet facilities, and plenty of parking spaces! The drive up to the parks is wonderful too!
Never been here before and what a great find! It appears as an old train station and track were transferred into a walking/ biking path. The station house is used as a cafe with a small but good selection of sandwiches/ pies/scones. There are plenty of ice creams to choose from and a good choice of drinks. We paid £10 for 3 hot drinks, one ice cream and one scone with jam & clothed cream, which is a bargain these days. After a walk, we went to spend some time at the playground ... Lots of staff to do for kids and plenty of picnic tables too. I will definitely be back!
Cool stuff for kids and excellent walks along the railway line. The old station is an interesting building and there are a few surprises to discover.
A lovely place to go for a wander, starting at the station House and walking for many miles is possible. The pathways are fairly easy underfoot.
Beutiful park with lots to explore. The playground is impressive and both my kids enjoyed it (5, 11). There is a lovely café.
Lovely place we did the old railway 🛤 walk to the park & had a drink & cheese scone at the Thorpe Thewles cafe 😋
Lovely park with plenty for kids of all ages to do. Areas for shelter if needed on Sunny days and the park is kept clean and tidy. Does get quite busy in the summer but not as busy as Preston Park for example.

I have used twice now through Teesactive for the sauna and steam rooms. Lovely, tidy, modern and clean building. Easy to book a session online. Car park is your first left as you turn in, before you hit B&M and aldi etc (limited parking time in them car parks). Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Will keep returning, especially to try the other range of facilities that they offer. Loved it.
Went for Granddaughters birthday. The experience itself was great. Only thing was is that they only had some boots with the metal straps in certain sizes. So the two younger ones had to have lace up boots which are difficult to tighten and aren’t as comfy.
I really didn't want to give 2 stars. It's a beautiful rink, the ice is the best in the Northeast, it's clean and tidy, and the staff are friendly and helpful. But... and it's a Very BIG but, they advertise private Skate coaching is available. Unfortunately it's not, you can register for coaching but if you're an adult Figure Skater, the chances of getting a coach are practically zero. I've asked and asked over 3 months and spoken to other adult skaters who have been waiting over 6 months. Yet if you have a child, somehow they can get coaching very quickly. There seems to be a bias towards younger skaters, who'll progress and compete. And it honestly seems like discrimination towards adult skaters. I've even spoken to management, who informed me there's no problem getting a coach. So why are so many adult skaters without coaching. 🤷‍♂️ Blatantly discriminatory towards adult Figure Skaters. But other than that, it's a 5 star rink.
Last night we went to Billingham Forum Theatre to see Believe: The Cher Songbook, it was absolutely amazing, a fantastic experience. The lead singer sang fabulous and sounded so much like Cher, the band and backing vocals were great as well as those working in the background with the group were great also in helping to give us the audience such a great night. The atmosphere was electric, brilliant, everyone of all ages were singing and dancing along, given great participation and love back to the fantastic group who gave us their best. Last but not least the staff at the Forum Theatre are lovely, friendly, supportive and helpful who helped us in providing a great evening out. Absolutely can't recommend highly enough. Here's a couple of short videos and photos of the group Believe: The Cher Songbook. A definite must to see.
We love going to the billingham forum theatre to see different tribute acts , always have a great time , staff are really freindly and professional, fully reccomend
A lovely Forum not too big. All Staff very helpful & welcoming 😀
I watched my sons practice ice hockey for years and finally decided to take up skating. The Penguin rental was a great fit. I'm glad I had this experience; it was fun.

Great place for whole family. There are two slides and it's allowed for kids from 1 meter. One big deep pool where everybody are allowed, and two safety pools for kids, two jacuzzi (not hot).
Swimming pool is great for little ones. I like to avoid when water babies is on as one of the pools is out of bounds. Lovely slide for little ones and 2 larger slides, one of which is fab for smaller children (accompanied) with no splash on exit. Some facilities slightly dated, but generally great and lovely staff
I've never had an issue when visiting. The facilities are fine, and the staff are friendly. I have given 3 stars simply because the website is so terrible. It's no secret that the website is bad, and the staff say as much themselves when you explain why you haven't booked online. I really think that as a business, you could afford to make the website more accessible and functional for everyone.
Place needs knocking down. Absolutely disgusting, dirty water pooled all over changing room floors, people with shoes on around pool area, felt dirty getting into the water baby area water jets broken and brown scum marks where the water has been trickling and pooling around. Price they charge to get in you’d at least expect it to be clean. Never again.
Took nieces and nephews twice this week. Second visit was hugely disappointing. Men in the pool in their street clothes (golf shirts and cargo shorts, not swimming material and not changed from walking into the centre). Lifeguard powerless (scared) to do anything about it. Extremely unhygienic. Very poor experience.
Would off been 5 stars as lots to do but pool was absolutly freezing the coldest pool I've been in....think the sea would off been warmer! Its a shame as put me off going back
Good parking and nicely setup. Changing rooms need more attention. Water is so cold not recommended for younger kids
I'd give it zero stars if I could, the pool water is freezing, I might as well have gone to Redcar sea. The wave machine was useless, all the hair dryers were broken, and the place is so run down now.

Booked for my sons 5th birthday. It was fantastic value for money. Totally took the stress away from me. The hot food was brilliant with a great selection. You only pay for the children that turn up on the day too which is a bonus. So much for the children to do, with a large soft play, baby area, toddler soft play, bouncy castle and a mini disco. Would highly recommend.
Intially entry was poor single filed with other parents waiting in the rain, seems there would be a better way than this especially when booked in advance. Costing over £25 for 3 children just for entry not exactly good value either. Place as safe and really good selection of things for 1 - 11 year olds. Decor looks like hasn’t been updated since it was intially opened. Staff were friendly. Food was really nice however having to wait over 1 hr 10 mins since order, kids were almost past it.
Had my daughters 5th birthday party here yesterday to be greeted by rude staff saying your too early read your paperwork it says arrive 5 mins before, I arrived 15mins before, I said I want to bring all the balloons, cake and party bags in before people arrive I wasn’t allowed and they said we need a break yet! So we were made to stand in the entrance holding all the items until they were ready to let us in, so in the end people were arriving while I am trying to set up! then bombarding me with questions as everyone is arriving, then asking one of the mums is your baby on the list, I booked the full place out I didn’t have a list if they know my daughter then they are invited! they even charged one of the mums unbeknown to me for bringing her sister! I had 10 spare spaces and they knew that disgusting behaviour, food was rushed the kids had not even finished eating the hot food and ice cream was being thrown at them, the spare food should have been put in the middle of the table for kids and parents to share but it was left to one side and forgotten about, then they are clearing up when people aren’t finished! the whole thing was rushed and not enjoyable I won’t be going there again even for a play date, the staff act like they are doing you a favour and rude.
Absolutely diabolical customer service. Book parties and take deposits saying they allow mascots then decide 2 weeks before they only do it for exclusive bookings. The manager was awful to speak to just saying her staff wouldn’t have said that. Would not recommend for young children’s parties seems very regimented and zero customer service skills for dealing with problems.
DO NOT BOOK A PARTY HERE! I’ve been raging since yesterday however waited till today to do this review. Yesterday my 3 year old palliatively ill child had her third birthday, her last birthday before a major surgery which we wanted to make special, I had a bad feeling about staff from the get go the phone calls were so rude they seemed to have an issue with the simplest of things. Fast forward to the actual party and I’m livid even saying it, mind you it was a 3 year olds bday they reserved tables at the front of the centre nowhere near the three year olds part so were questioned this and were met with well that’s the tables we reserved so that’s what you have. I have a severely disabled step daughter who’s 12 she can’t walk nor sit up and is very brain damaged. The only option for her to sit anywhere was the sofa with lots of free surrounding tables no reserved signs nothing, mind you we had asked a girl who worked there of that’s okay to seat her at the other end and she said okay as they did refuse to move the reserved tables to the other end where the kids would actually be playing baring in mind the place was empty at this point. so we sat her there and we’re approached by a dark haired lady member off staff face like she hates the world saying move that’s for someone else literally that abrupt even though a disabled child was on the sofa , we explained the severity of her disability and asked if we could possibly keep her on a sofa as she can’t possibly sit on a chair with the severity of her disability to be argued with by this woman and she got in my mothers face and actually argued with her over moving my disabled step daughter saying it’s not there Issue even saying to move her stuff now so someone else can sit there, my step daughter then had to be took back to the car carried as there was no possible place for her to be seated, mind you they travelled from Scotland to be there , and then came back in as a lovely man offered to give a sofa chair up and move whilst the staff just sneered and gave looks. A disabled child being told to move cos someone else needs that seat and we can’t be there and it’s not there issue arguing so rudely and getting in our faces I’m disgusted to my core . Awful awful humans apart from the older blonde lady who was so nice about it. Disgusted to my core over them especially the dark haired lady who works there. Even prior she seemed to have an issue with anything over phone so please save yourself the hassle and don’t book them. Discrimination to its finest and I will never step foot in there pathetic place again I suggest anyone to not book a party there awful set up we waited 25 mins for food after they said go in the party room for food. Awful all around and my little girls last bday before surgery. Shame on the owner having such awful staff
Had my granddaughters first birthday here today and had hired it for just the party 3.30-5.30 and we arrived early to take cake, ballon and party bags in , walked in to 4 staff sat at a table and I said I was here for the party to be replied with ‘ doesn’t start til half past - I was allowed quickly to put the cake and balloon in and then leave , as people where arriving still we weren’t allowed in til 3.25pm. It was posted on social media it was closed from 2.30pm today so wasn’t Asif we were waiting for people to leave. Food was served at 5 and you can imagine 30 children aged between 10 months to 8 years all eat at different paces, at 5.15 we asked for a knife to do the cake for the member of staff to Comment ‘ you only have 15 mins left ‘ and ‘ oh you have ice cream too’ also made us aware she had been at work since 7am and wanted to be out on time’ - some of the children went back in the play area and didn’t eat food and they were told to get out and as much as I appreciate the play session had finished there are ways to politely remind parents but we found the member of staff so rude and make comments to the parents ‘it’s in the paper work’ I wouldnt recommend booking a party especially when you pay extra to hire it privately and you are greeted with rude staff and who seemed to just want us out and making it seem a hassle. Staff made a comment as people were standing up to leave ‘ yeah can we get going’ Why book a party in til 5.30pm if staff didn’t want to be in til then - won’t be back.
Ugh it's not for me. We attended a party and parents are ushered into netted ”VIP" parent cage area, with no lights on in it except some fairy lights on the outside. It's clearly an area multi purposed for Christmas etc, which is fine, but it's a bit of a half job of it. Young staff with clipboards are like the table police, making sure you're in the dark corner. The soft play itself always seems really dark Queues for food are always horrendous. We waited an hour for a panini, by which time the party was nearly over so we asked for a refund which was refused on the grounds it would be done next. Ended up having to hoover it back before we left. The party food room is so cramped you can barely squeeze everyone in. It really needs extending as there aren't many young children sitting to eat, especially hot food, who won't need some kind of adult help and it's really difficult to fit any amount of adults in there. Panini was alright when it eventually turned up.
Never sure what's Decent price to pay to get kids in. £5 for Niamh £3.70 for Isla but had good few hours for price. £3.60 each for kids meals but value for money nuggets spaghetti hoops and chunky chips (Isla) and Nuggets Mash and Sweetcorn for Niamh. Great portion size. Atmosphere loud but its popular and goes down well for us Parents who looking for things for kids to do in Summer Hols Staff were excellent helpful and theres lots to occupy themselves under one roof. Worth the Visit even though we don't live nearby only cost £14.00 family saver on bus from Bowburn Arriva and we were able get all Arriva Services.

Went to watch my Nephew in the youth production of Sound of Music, venue was excellent and everyone looked as if they loved the show. The venue staff were friendly and efficient especially the two serving on the gf bar. Going to book for the wildcats of Kilkenny in December.
Great venue and highly recommended. The only issue I have is that the seat I was sat in and those around me were over restrictive on space . I've been in tighter spaces but considering the place had a refurbishment a few years ago I'd have expected a little more knee and shoulder room. For large people you may be better off not being in a circle seat to the left of the stage. Other than that the positives were that it's a very relaxed and cozy atmosphere inside the building. There is a large bar with seating in a modern setting. I'd be more than happy to visit again but I'd hope to be in different seat.
Brilliant venue. A nice enough selection of beers, plenty toilets, staff helpful, great sound for the gig, and you dont get the over full venue feeling like in some places. Would definitly visit again if opportunity arises.
Great community arts facility. Shame there's no parking, but you can park on the streets in the surrounding area. Decent range of events, shows, and classes/workshop. Cafe is a nice spot to sit with a drink and people watch.
Excellent night to see Henry Normal and Brian Bilston in the Point at the Arc. The seats were a little uncomfortable by the end of the show, and it was very warm. Otherwise, it would have been 5 stars.
The Point is a fantastic intimate concert venue, good sound, great atmosphere. We saw Limehouse Lizzy from the Circle where you get a great uninterrupted view with plenty of space. The seats in the side section can be rather cramped, the circle seats are much better.
Absolutely loved this venue! No matter where you were, you had an unobstructed view. Beer was reasonably priced and plentiful. Limehouse Lizzy were amazing and interactive. Will definitely be back here!
Brilliant little venue ,been here a few times, plenty of parking spaces around the place 👍

We went with the grandchildren on Thursday the 27th of February 2025 we had a box seat which cost £50 for the 4 of us 2 adults and 2 children we went to see the Wizard of Oz production " brilliant experience will be definitely going again the only problem we did have and this has got nothing to do with Billingham Forum was there wasn't many places to eat with the little ones only the local Wetherspoons pub chain children's menu £499 each with a free drink
It's a beautiful interior theatre. A bit of a bottle neck as you enter for a performance, everyone crowds around the ticket booth and blocks the way to the stairs or doors... But I can't see a way to change that within the existing building. Car parking is a bit of a faff sometimes, could do with more spaces and the writing on the signs is tiny. Nice old style kiosk for snacks. Upstairs has toilets and a bar. Toilets on ground floor as well as disabled accessible toilets and ramped entrance to theatre. I would happily go to a performance again. Beware the ticket seller they used was hacked earlier in the year (2024) and no one (not the ticket seller or The Forum) emailed or contacted me to let me know- I found out from a third party site. A little disappointing.
The show was brilliant but regardless of the show I find that the staff are brilliant and there is plenty of free parking available. We tried the VIP bar for the first time and I am glad that we did - there was a huge queue for drinks in the main bar so it was lovely to relax with a drink in the interval
We watched the Jurassic Earth show and really enjoyed it. My son had a great time. The theatre was lovely, with comfortable seating and a small hub to buy snacks. We bought some fun dinosaur-themed items afterward, which was a lovely touch.
We attended Fleetwood Mac tribute band concert last Friday The band were ok but we left at interval. The venue was full of drunks mainly women , drink was allowed in the main arena. We could not hear the slow numbers as it was drowned out by drunks singing. I am not one to stop fun but you have to respect other people . shouting through the quiet songs does not. I was amazed at the lack of security and action not taking against these people. Drink was dropped over us Absolutely not a safe venue to attend. There will be serious trouble, if the forum do not stop allowing booze to be taken into main arena. Stay away it cost us nearly fifty quid and a dry cleaning cost of my wife's coat. I went back to forum made an official complaint. Not even got back to me. My advice is don't go here to see an event it's not safe and you may not hear them.
Great venue for watching entertainment. Good size as it is quick and easy to get seated. A little too busy at the bar during interval, but that's par for the course. Helpful and friendly staff and a nice vibe and decor. Definitely a great smaller venue and one I'm happy to return to without hesitation.
Been here twice recently and can't believe in 58 years I've never been here before. Great venue and unlike some bigger theatre's your almost guaranteed a good view..
No long wait to get into the theatre even with a full house. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There was plenty of leg room where we sat and no restricted view. Loads of free parking around the theatre area, too. Would recommend a visit.

Really great first experience at a bingo hall. A lot of helpful and patient staff to guide us through each round. No big wins today but we knew what we were getting ourselves into.
First time to Mecca Bingo. Reception staff are very friendly and helpful. We signed up and got a book of vouchers ( I would recommend signing up online before you arrive as it can take 10 minutes and it can be very busy) Once you are in the bingo room couple of suggestions. 1. The table number is the bingo card number that is fixed to the desk. 2. Don’t sit near the main doors. Too much noise from people coming and going. 3. Sit near the caller if you can as the volume of the speakers are poor and it’s hard to hear what they are saying game wise due to the surround noise. 4. Be aware that some people go to bingo and are there just to chat to friends. Not great when you are trying to keep up with fast paced calls. We went for the evening session and was given a number of paper tickets. They do tell you what card you are playing next so listen carefully. In between the main games, they switch to games using the card in your table which you need to pay for with coins. This is a bit weird at first as you aren’t sure what is happening. All in all, a good. Night but they could do with better audio.
I visited this club on a Sunday afternoon with my partner. It was his first time but I've visited many times before but not for many years. 18 games only cost us £5 and we got a free drink and £3 to play on the slots as a welcome offer.BARGAIN!! The lady who greeted us was very helpful and friendly. The place was very busy but I enjoyed the atmosphere and we had a great time playing bingo although I much prefer playing on paper. The electronic game board took the fun out of it for me, and we weren't actually given a choice when we paid for our games. We also needed to be shown how to use it, which didn't happen. There was only one staff member behind the bar, which was disappointing as the queues were very long and slow. The bingo caller needed to be louder and sounded in pain when he called the numbers also. In my experience, the bingo caller needs to be charismatic to add to the fun atmosphere of the game.
As a middle aged first timer, I found the bingo hall to be a pretty surreal way to spend an afternoon. The car boot sale was rained off so we figured we'd do something different, and try bingo at Mecca. Naturally I figured you head in, register, buy your bingo books & a dabber, a d join in the games. Boy was I way out on that estimation. Upon entering you're somewhat blitzed with slot machines of all kinds, even before you get to the hall. And you can choose between traditional bingo books, or a tablet of all things that does almost everything for you. You don't even have to tap on numbers, the tablet keeps tabs on them and let's you know if you've got a line, 2 lines or a full house. Now, we didn't win anything, but the whole process and how it's changed pretty much blew my brain. Staff walk round the aisles with teas, coffees, change, there's a bar, more slot machines in the main hall and so many different types of bingo to play throughout the day I was just left behind keeping up with it all. I'm sure once someone gets used to the different types of games & how the time slots work it'd be an ideal way to pass a gloomy afternoon. Not quite for me, but certainly the place is well presented, spacious, clean and very well staffed.
Ordered drinks on app. Took 2 hours to arrive. No apology. Electronic boards kept crashing which interrupted play. Problems with swipe card on entry for all. Bad experience and very frustrating. Spoiled night out 😪
First time I went Bingo. I enjoyed a lot.easy to play, table service for drinks and food or pop downs to the bar. Great fun. We ordered food and drinks. Came quickly. Not expensive for a night out with friends. Busy when we went. Casino next door and slot machines. Great fun. Definitely will be back
Great staff, funny can't do enough for you and a decent pint

Brilliant experience would highly recommended. Staff very friendly, welcoming and informative. Definitely worth the trip from Northern ireland. Will be back for a visit very soon. Thank you Leven Valley Alpacas and staff
What an absolutely fantastic family day we had! Alpacas are such gentle, quirky creatures with big personalities. A shout out to Kayleigh who’s vast knowledge and lovely presence made the day extra special. I really recommend this lovely farm and it’s amazing people and, of course brrrrrilliant Alpacas! (Particularly Odyssey 🥰)
Walking the alpachas was an amazing experience for my Hen Do. Everyone of my Hen party enjoyed themselves the staff were all lovely and full of knowledge about the alpachas. Definitely recommend to anyone to go! Thank you for such a wonderful time 😀
Absolutely amazing morning spent at Alpaca Alpaca on Leven Bank. We walked the gorgeous Laurence, always had to be at the front of the pack and went a little rogue every now and then. Fed the girls with carrot sticks and met Jerry the pig too. Paul and all the staff were very knowledgeable and made the walk even more fun, would highly recommend them and we’ll definitely be back.
What an amazing experience we had today, hosts were amazing Lawrence was well behaved for me & we met Jerry 🐖
Just come back from taking Lawrence for a walk ,he was so cute (even a little subbon a times lol but his cuteness made me forgive him) I loved this experience it was very informative and we also got to feed them and meet Jerry the pig ,the staff couldn't have been any friendlier and answered any questions that we asked , highly recommended
Such an amazing experience. The Alpacas are lovely and the staff were so knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommended for all ages.
My 7-year-old son and I went on an alpaca walk today, and it was incredible! We had the pleasure of walking with Figaro, who was gorgeous and so well-behaved. The guides were fantastic—so friendly and knowledgeable. We learned so much from them, and it was clear they genuinely love what they do. The coffee van at the end was a perfect touch, and we found a lovely gift for my daughter in the little shop, who was too young to join us this time. We’ll definitely be back when she's old enough to come along! Thank you, I would highly recommend.

All the staff at this pool are fantastic with my daughter who happens to have Down Syndrome. They are inclusive and welcoming, supportive and friendly. They always make her feel safe and happy. She loves a chat with everyone and have helped her to become very independent when accessing their pool. It’s one of the few places I could happily drop her off to have a swim and know that she would be safe. Thank you to each and every one of you.
Great facility to have. Looking a little tired, but good staff and a great time there.
Fantastic local pool. I take my son to swimming lessons weekly here and the teacher is incredible. Highly recommend for swimming lessons. The only issue is sometimes the pool is on the colder side, but I know that can be difficult to regulate.
I attend several times a week and the staff are always friendly, helpful and pleasant. Lunch time swims are very enjoyable both to swim and exercise and to socialize with the occasional chat with other pool users and staff whom over time have become good friends.
Have yet to use it but it's clean and the staff are friendly and helpful
Nice single pool that is not overly busy. Great for birthday parties and has a large floating assault course in the middle (parties only I think) Poolside seating. Free on site parking. Free lockers.
Doesn't look modern; instructors are otherwise good.
My twins (age10) and lots of their friends really enjoyed the inflatable assault course, the staff were very professional and ensured safety came first, I'd definitely recommend this facility for a children's party, we'll be back, well done!

An awesome friendly club, run by a dedicated committee. The weekly batch of live Rock music on a Saturday night is just brilliant, a good range of guest ales to choose from and all reasonably priced. You get a great mix of live Rock music, bingo, key to the box, raffle and more music to follow. The place to be, see you there.
Went here for a 30th birthday, upstairs room was small but decent and downstairs had a lovely atmosphere, drink very reasonable and staff very friendly. Would definitely recommend
