Great exhibition and building...never had expected this kind of museum here in this rural area. Great experience!
great place to spend a day off. Entrance to the gallery is free; a large number of sculpture exhibits are located on the street. Inside there is an interesting selection of art from various directions and periods, a lot of air and light. There is a cafe and toilets. There is also a second museum dedicated to technology. Again, a great place to enjoy a day off.
It was amazing. Totally worth a visit, let alone this great “hidden gem” town.
Interesting modern art museum. The current exhibition presents holograms and third dimension works, definitely worth a visit!
Great place to take in the view. Beautiful and great ambience
It's such a nice Art Gallery, the staff is super friendly and helpful, they hay all types of resources as well for you to dive into the art and actually understand a bit more. It has a small cafe too that is very nice.
Simply amazing variety of works spanning mediums, centuries, themes.... Stunning collection made so readily available to anyone. Love love love everything about the Kunsthalle.

St. Michael's...wow! What a beautiful church, inside and out. Make sure to climb the tower for amazing views of Schwabish Hall! They have live theatrical plays on the steps during Summer which is awesome. Great cultural learning.
medieval church from 1156 from romanesque to Gothic architecture. the building offers all. beautiful baroque side altars, tower visit, magnificent bell with a clock timing. large stairs with an open theater and amazing main altar. it is the main highlight of the town.
Besides being a historical building with the greatest architecture, the staircase outside is used by the town as a stage for plays. Away from home and wanting to serve God with fellow worshippers, it was the most amazing sermon I have attended.
Oh wow. Past amazing. Everything is so old! Be sure to go up the bell tower, just watch your times around the bells because it is loud!! The church is just amazing. Only downside is that very little is printed in English so if you're a tourist, be sure to use Google Translate
Schwäbisch Hall is a very nice City to visit, and stopping by ST Michael Church is totally worth it. There are also Restaurants and Stores in the vicinity.
What an absolutely lovely cathedral. Shows the dedication of the locals who built it over the years.
What a view! Climbing the tower is free and highly recommended. Be careful with the bells, they ring pretty loud every 15 minutes.
Beautifully restored church, with al large square in front. Many bars/restaurants in the surroundings. The city is a beautiful historic centre and has many things to see, worthwhile visiting when in the neighbourhood.

Must do when in Schwäbisch Hall! The cakes were a dream. We ordered an Iced Late (not common in Germany). Lena and Martin from service were so friendly. We were sitting outside right at the market square, just perfect! Last but not least: you have to use the restroom!
Every time I was in the city I always try to visit this cafe. The ambient, the food, the plating all are just pure art. I also bring my friend to this cafe for fun.
An elegant and charming café right on the Platz. The indoor space is spacious, cozy, and beautifully decorated with lights and flowers, offering very comfortable seating. You order at the table, and they serve a tempting selection of cakes that look truly delicious. The staff are friendly, polite, and attentive (Also the girl is really cute). Free Wi-Fi is available, and there are also several outdoor seats if you’d like to enjoy the fresh air. A versatile spot — perfect for meeting friends, casual hangouts, or even getting some work done. Personally, I consider this the most delightful café in Schwäbisch Hall.
Our server Martin was excellent, he really made our experience pleasurable. Spoke perfect English, very attentive and kept asking if everything was good with what we ordered. They have beer, lunch food, ice cream and cakes. Very nice. Inside and outside seating. Highly recommend!
I went to buy a few cake slices for a birthtday. I only needed three slices but, as it happened, they had four slices left for the day. While asking for three pieces, the lady gave me the fourth slice for free. I really appreciate it! If you go by, try the Belgian truffle chocolate cake, it's delicious - I have it every week.
Nice place for cake 🍰 and ice 🍨
Delicious desserts and amazing coffee! By far the best Sachertorte I ate. Would highly recommend!
The best breakfast in the best Cafe ! 👏👏👏 the best service 👌🏻

Here, we get direct and detailed impressions of a German village and the life of its residents in 1945. No boundaries, you could directly touch and feel the furnitures, kitchenwares and working tools from different families. We spend a whole afternoon there, 10 euro ticket and 4 hours , totally worthwhile!
It's perfect for kids of all ages. Our son is now two and a half and has enjoyed it so much. The price is definitely worth it. There are only three playgrounds, which are really small, but you won't need them.
An enjoyable visit to learn more about the old rural lifestyles in this part of Germany. There are many relocated buildings to explore and learn about how people used to live. At the end of our visit we enjoyed a good meal at the Red Ox.
Charming farming village. It feels like we went back decades! Worth to get the headsets (out of charge, just a €20 bond and you’ll get it back at the end). You can hear the story about each place.
Alway worth a visit - nice exhibition of old houses, good food and friendly staff. I would really recommend this place and encourage more people to come here. On of the best times to visit is the so called "Backofenfest" which is an event with a small market and a lot of great food spots.
A wonderful experience filled with so many things that showed how life was, in Germany, over the years. A day well spent and I highly recommend this place.
Ok, not sure though how to react,it's well preserved area , nice walk on Sunday afternoon . It's different experience when one say it's a museum. May be for city kid it's will be surprising experience but it didn't impressed or amused me. Maybe because some part of my life I grew up in such environment. But still good to re-visit your memory n feel refreshed!!
Great place with lots to see and many things to do. Offers a student discount. Doesn't accept visa cards so make sure you bring cash of a maestro card for payment. Offers free parking.

medieval Monastery who received architectural changes through ages till the today baroque furnishing. the monastery itself is like a fortress of complex buildings and vast yards. to visit the church and the chapel you need a reservation for a guided tour. no information is available at the place even if the gates are open.
A lovely area. I've been twice and it's very peaceful and nice views overlooking the town.
Imposing 1000 year old former monastery built in the Romanesque and Baroque styles, near the beautiful medieval town of Schwäbisch Hall in southern Germany
Beautiful temple castle. So quiet during winter holidays. Free entrance. Walk around the castle in inside barbican. superb
Nice little place for an evening getaway. There is a children play area near the car parking.
Great place to visit. And free.

We were very surprised by the beautiful church turned into a museum and what a wonderful collection of medieval paintings. Absolutely free, friendly staff. And the exhibition deserves to be presented in the best museums.
Small church turned into a painting museum which is completely free of charge. Don’t forget to visit upstairs!
the church is from 12th century. but today it holds an ancient collection of medieval religious arts. the collection can be freely visited and the highlight is the Holy Mary painting and the medieval stone Altar of Jesus.
A small museum, but with a very interesting collection of late medieval art. The tour guide was excellent, and chose an interesting and coordinated selection of works to examine. Was there on a trip from the Goethe Institut.
Amazing museum with good collection.
The Johanniterkirche is a former church building in Schwäbisch Hall from the 19th century. Century. Since 2008 it has been curated as an exhibition hall for Old Master paintings and sculptures. The Johanniterkirche is managed as a branch of the Kunsthalle Würth.
Incredible artworks by some the late gothic masters in wood sculpture and portraiture. Cranach the Younger and Riemenschbei to mention just two.
It was a nice surprise to find the “Darmstadt Madonna” painting by Hans Holbein the Younger here in such a small museum in a small town like Schwäbisch Hall. There was no admission fee to enter the museum.

A nice and organized museum shows the history and culture of locals. There is no English translation in most of the exhibitions but the staff gave me a English brochure that has a general information about the content of each main halls. Some places can only reached by stairs.
Historic building, cosy museum which exhibits an interesting and extensive art collection of history of the region distributed in several floors. A pleasant welcome from staff
Very nicely done with some amazing exhibits. If speaking only English, they have a book you can borrow that explains things in English.
This is a well curated museum with lots of interesting artifacts, pieces of art, and information. I highly recommend going for a visit. It's a surprisingly large museum, so you'll need at least an hour or two to really get to see everything. Most of the museum is accessible via stairs, as it is housed in several historical buildings.
Best museum in town . It has a place for kids to play . Museums staff was very helpful
Great. The museum not just offer a background on Schwäbisch Hall it also displays historical objects and temporal exhibitions. The museum is free to visit and it's interesting that it is formed by 7 connected houses, which are of different styles and heights. Super delicious food and a tasty Radler! The Brauerei Braten was plenty and good and the Salat with Maultaschen even better. Highly recommendable. They have indoor and outdoor seating by the river but it's a quiet neighborhood. Perfect spot and close to Kunsthalle Würth.
Double charged my credit card. Staff claims the card software cannot properly transact a Visa Credit Card, despite having signs that they accept Visa Cards posted throughout the restaurant. I have never had this issue in a European country until now. Do not waste your money
Traditional cuisine and truly delicious food! The interior of the restaurant also immerses you into the German culture. Would highly recommend!
A true hidden gem for traditional home-style cooking! Stepping into this restaurant feels like stepping into Grandma’s kitchen – no frills, no gimmicks, just honest, hearty food that warms your soul. The menu is filled with classic favorites, and the best part: they’re more than happy to adjust the dishes to your taste. You’ll always find your personal comfort food here! The portions are generous – you definitely won’t leave hungry. The atmosphere is simply charming: a lovingly decorated space that feels like home, where family is the heart of it all. This is a place to unwind, enjoy good company, and savor the simple pleasures of life. A snapshot in time with a lot of feel-good character
Any foreigners please STAY AWAY! I ate at this establishment on the 22-May-2024. Upon concluding our meal three of us each attempted to pay with our visa cards however the host informed us that our payment had not gone through, and assured us that we would not be individually charged for the same meal. Luckily our Italian colleagues were with us at the time and they covered the meal. Since then all three of us still have charges for the same meal that we have been unable to remove despite reaching out to the restaurant and providing the original receipt that paid for the meal to the restaurant. To any foreigners visiting, please stay away from this establishment - otherwise you might end up paying for the same meal multiple times over.
Great place by the river with a fantastic view for great German Beer. Food is okay. Went during off time but I can imagine the place to be packing at best times.
Great place, massively underrated. Apparently it wasn't great before but the new leadership turned it around. Also fair warning, the Ochsenrippen are a portion for 2 people. Absurd amount of food.

My wife and I just saw one of the most beautiful modern contemporary ballets in the Neues Globe theater titled "Somewhere Between" choreographed by Florian Lochner and Alice Klock of the dance group Flock. If you haven't had a chance to see it, the work compares to any of the great modern choreographers such as Nacho Duato. The 6 dancers brought alive the dynamics of interpersonal relations. If you missed the show you can look up the the creators on line or the Facebook Flock page. The Neues Globe is an excellent performance space that provides high quality in an intimate setting. It seats around 500 and the acoustics are marvelous. If you have a chance to view a performance here take advantage of it.

(Translated by Google) “Tribute to Carole King” – A musical delight The Carole King tribute concert proved to be an impressive tribute to one of the greatest songwriters in music history. Tabea Scholz thrilled with her expressive voice and gave the timeless classics her very own touch. Especially with pieces like It's Too Late and You've Got a Friend, it was noticeable how deeply Carole King's music still affects her to this day. Supported by an excellent band consisting of Johannes Weik (guitar and arrangements), Michael Deak (bass) and Marko Klotz (drums), a harmonious overall picture was created that captured the magic of the original songs and at the same time added new nuances. Weik's arrangements provided musical sophistication, while the rhythm section performed with precision and feeling. The audience experienced an evening full of nostalgia and musical brilliance that celebrated Carole King's legacy. An absolute highlight for fans of handmade music and a successful tribute concert that hopefully wasn't the last of its kind.
