Very nice place to visit with your friends the village itself is very small, but you can do water sport activities such as stand-up paddle boarding. You can also rent a boat and go on a tour and also go parasailing. we weren’t during the off-season so it wasn’t very busy to get in but we were there at 9:30 and we were first in the door so it was nice to have the place for ourselves for a few minutes to take photos. I would recommend taking the canoe or kayak or send a paddle board to the caves because you can paddle yourself right into the cave.
I agree with others that you should not miss this place if you are in Malta. If you loved the movie and/or Robin Williams himself, or you are with children, this place is a must have for sure. But it's fun even without children, just bring your inner child! Although the village itself is not super huge, there is plenty of things to do! Don't forget to bring your swim dress, as swimming in the lovely bay adds a lot to the experience! But the best thing about this place is the attitude of the staff. You just feel that they love what they do, and they care about providing a very good experience for the visitors. The place is incredibly well maintained, and the regular shows are amazing. It's so refreshing to find a small gem like this with such high quality standards. They definitely deserve your time!
Very pretty place. We came around 4pm so there was not much people and also we had opportunity to watch the sunset from the village and if you go out from village you can go to the mountain across to watch the most beautifully golden sunset ever. Popeya village has different acts with actors that are alive and fun. You get free popcorn with your ticket that you get as you watch the show. Also if you came alone its not a problem for pictures because on every corner there's these phone holders helping you to take your picture. P.s. there's a swing that you can sit and watch the sunset and for best picture set your phone behind you.
I had so much fun! There was a secret chest hunt, and after we found all three clues, we were led to a chest with a lobby inside — that was such a great surprise. The animators were very funny and entertaining. We also had lunch there; the prices were fair, and the food quality was good. We had a couple of drinks as well, and they were quite cheap. We stayed from 1 o’clock until the very end. With every ticket, you get one free popcorn and one free postcard. Overall, it was a great experience!
Very charming and situated around the beautiful blue water. Visited as an adult couple without kids, so didn’t really do any particular activities, but it’s such a nice area to just walk around, especially if you’re interested in films. There is also a beach so you can bring swim-wear. I wouldn’t plan a whole day around it, but it’s worth a visit, and easy to get to like most places in Malta.
Looks lovely, the buildings look like they need a bit of repair. Some of it felt unsafe so we didn't go everywhere. Most were fine. The bay is stunning and urges you to swim in it ...then you see all the garbage floating in it ....bags, bottles , rusty bits... The village itself is pretty and staff are lovely but maybe they could pull the rubbish out of the water...yuck.
Just visited Popeye Village in November. We went mainly to walk around the outside and take pictures. We did not pay the admission to enter. We didn't have our swimsuits or any children with us so figured it wouldn't be worth spending the money. I'm sure a family with kids would love it here. The buildings are unique and I'm glad we came. Even without entering I got some great pictures.
The village looks much better in photos than in real life, it feels so so fake :) And there’s loud music. Overall, there isn’t much to do there, but the beach in the bay is just wooooooooow. We spent the whole day there — no regrets at all P.S. aperol spritz is very tasty and costs only 6.50€ :)

This beach was beautiful. It is a sheltered bay with a long swimming area that is shallow for a good 30 meters. The water is clear and warm. Although a busy beach being in the sea still had a level of privacy given how large the swimming area was. We used the free parking on the north side of the beach. And here we used Munchies deck chairs and umbrellas. These cost €18 for the day. It also allowed us to use the toilets attached to the restaurant and inflation station for inflatables. The beach was clean and had a public shower as well as plenty of bins. It felt safe and child friendly too. The beach is large and there is plenty of room for everyone.
18€ for two sunbeds and a parasol, can't complain! Friendly atmosphere, lots of families and nearby toilets and restaurants. We arrived at noon on a Saturday and there were still plenty of sunbeds available. I haven't seen water so blue!
Very average beach — packed, water and sand not too clean. It's probably one of the best sandy beaches I guess Malta has to offer. Also very difficult to get here from Valletta unless you drive or take a cab. Buses are extremely unreliable and we actually had 3 buses who didn't stop to pick us up despite raising my hand and the buses being empty.
A sandy beach, a rarity in Malta. Perhaps the most beautiful on the island. Spacious and ideal for children. The water is shallow for the first few tens of meters. The beach is safe and clean. Today is October 9 and the conditions for swimming are very good.
A long sandy beach, one of the most beautiful on the island. Three sun loungers and an umbrella cost 24-26€ for the whole day. A nicely organized beach, offering everything you need. The water is crystal clear with a long shallow area, wich is also suitablefor families with small children. We visited it in the dira half of October and the swimming condotions were good.
Lovely sandy beach with a great shallow drop off into the sea. It can get busy from midday onwards as pretty much all beaches do. Two sun loungers and one umbrella was 18 euros for the day so nothing too outrageous.
The beach itself is great: sandy; clear, shallow waters. The problem is the lack of facilities - no public shower in sight and the public toilet was closed during normal (displayed) opening hours. Located right next to the highway, so you can hear the traffic noise (no zen vibes).
Visited the beach here and it was beautiful. Crystal clear shallow waters to swim in and a lovely beach. Fairly busy but found Sun loungers easily. Only downside was there were no lifeguards here.

Amazing to think these were carved out by hand. Really interesting. Tried to think what it would have been like to give birth here as there are two maternity rooms. Take a look at the floor as they are the only rooms with colourful tiles. I guess to make it nicer for the mums to be and also easier to keep clean. Makes you really think about how it was for the people for Malta during WW2. Excellent value less than €3 to enter so if you go please leave some change as a donation too. If you are lucky you may get to meet a cute Pekinese dog who may show you his tricks!
Amazing little place. If you're in the area, it's well worth a visit. It only costs €2.40 per adult and €0.70 for children! our kids loved wandering around the bunker and learning about the history. We stayed a half an hour walk away, and it was definitely worth the uphill walk! Highly recommend.
Unforgettable experience. A must-visit for your trip to Mellieha. The ticket costs only 2.5€. You get to experience the WWII shelter atmosphere and its history. Also those puppets are pretty spooky. I got jumpscared many times 😅 🙈👌👍
Excellent experience getting to walk through the tunnels. Hand carved into the rock to provide shelter from air raids during ww2. Well worth a visit
This was cool to see. Short 4.5 minute video to watch in tunnels. Definitely a part of history and hard to imagine staying in there. Worth checking out.
Such an amazing place to visit, Joseph really knew his stuff as his father lived in the town during the war. Really recommend coming to keep this amazing piece of Maltese history alive. Just make sure you bring some cash.
Excellent stop. Joseph was very well informed as his dad, John (who normally looks after the shelters), was here during the war! For only €2.50 it's an absolute bargain too! They're very expansive. Make sure you bring cash as they don't have a card machine.
The Second World War was a period that certainly left an intense, deep mark on Malta, both in the population and in the landscape. One of the locations where you can still go back to the past are the WWII air-raid shelters in Mellieħa. These shelters are among the largest in the country and were almost a city in themselves. Very interesting.

Massive thanks for having us over this place with a great information from the person the gentleman working there. With a great influence he has.Thank you so much for his time and his kindness The place is well needed to visit. For more details and information visit I totally recommend to visit this historic place.
Amazing tower and scenic views. Visited on two different occasions, first time a few years ago they only accepted cash and i only had card but they seem to have started taking cashless payments now and second time I visited this week it didn't open that day as it's staffed by volunteers so can be understanding that it won't be open everyday.
We enjoyed visiting the Red Tower! It’s easy to reach by bus and there’s a very friendly and knowledgeable volunteer on site who told us a lot about its history. I prefer calling it the Red Tower rather than St. Agatha’s Tower — the story of St. Agatha is quite horrible when you think about what she suffered. The tower itself is beautiful, well preserved, and offers stunning views. Highly recommend!
This castle is on the top of the hill in front of the coast and you cam see a 360 landscape. Some of the principals busses stop very close to the castle, but you have to walk 15 minutes more. In summertime, take care, cause it's a long walking under the sun... 🥵
We didn't go inside, but the tower is absolutely charming and the views seriously rock. It's hilarious to see the whole of Gozo and Comino from one spot not too far away.
Easy to see from everywhere around and easy to get to by bus . Entrance is 2.5 Euro for adult, very good price in my opinion. The tower got restored so you can see they are taking good care of it. Some information about the history all around and on top is just full of amazing view! You can see all 3 islands of Malta. I was alone but a lot of people came with children, so there's that. If you are on the Gozo on coming back to Malta, is a must stop, I liked it. The Golden Nomad.
Small but well restored with stunning views. You can walk up from Mellieha Bay about 2.3km uphill or get an Uber, they are not expensive. The story of the fort is told inside. Toilets in the fort. Parking close by.
History rich tower a tourist must see...the walk around it was marvellous..we are locals and enjoyed this very much with our children

We stayed here for a week. All good, from the food to rooms. It’s located in the northern part of Malta, it’s very suitable for couples and families, you’re away from the noise of Saint Julian but you can reach it in about 40 minutes with the bus. Perfect mix of relax and fun thanks to the animation provided by the strutture. Special thanks to Rajan, one of the barmans, he is a lovely person. If you are going to stay here , you have to try his Capo spritz. Unforgettable. Thanks Paradise and thanks Rajan for everything.
This hotel is a fake 4-star hotel and simply horrible! I checked in late at night on 23rd Sep 2025. My room was dirty, not only with dust and nasty hairs everywhere, including the bed and sink, but also with pieces of plastic packages. The furniture is not just old, which would not be an issue, but also broken. The WiFi signal is just terrible. My worst surprise was this morning when I tried to shower. Almost no water coming out from the shower head, also broken, by the way, and the temperature would not stay stable. This morning, I went to the reception asking to change my room. I was told I would have to pay a cleaning fee, which was simply shocking to me. I said "You have a customer complaining that the room is dirty and you are asking for a cleaning fee?" - the reception person continued insisting on this. I am here for a business meeting using one of their meeting rooms. I was told that I am not allowed to bring in a small plate with fruit from the breakfast area to the meeting room and I can have something to eat at the coffee break. I went to use the toilet allocated to the meeting room and was surprised to find broken sinks and a complete lack of a soap dispenser for one side. I do not usually spend time and energy to write negative reviews, but this hotel and the attitude of the employees are out of this world. I strongly recommend avoiding it.
For access to Gozo & Comino it is exceptional. Hotel is made for all inclusive guests otherwise the hours and access to the pool are impossible. Extremely misleading room description. Ferry lights illuminated our room all night long when we expected a view of the pool and ocean/bay? Someone did a sloppy white coat of paint at some time and all the molding in the rooms and hallways shows the paint. The room electricity needs a room key to run and if you leave the do not disturb light is no longer on. However room service must also put a key in the slot in order to turn on the electricity and would then see the do not disturb sign illuminated. They do not care and will move all of your belongings which for us was money, camera equipment, and lingerie without caring that you had a do not disturb sign. The front desk did not even have a schedule for the gozo channel ferry and handed me the Sliema - Valletta ferry schedule which was hilarious. The service in the beach front restaurant was also horrible. The only reason to stay here is if you are diving and do not want to travel far afterwards. The atmosphere was like an old scene from the dirty dancing movie with a lot of old Germans who looked very unhappy sitting around listening to karaoke at night.
Good location for Gozo and Comino ferries (walking distance). Room was large with balcony overlooking the pool/ocean. Old decor but fine otherwise. Bar drink prices were average. Check in for us was after 3 pm. They kept telling us the room wasn't ready. Guest Services kindly bought us a drink for the delay. Breakfast was included in our rate and it was good. Porto Restaurant across the street for dinner was satisfactory. Service here was good. We were just happy to have somewhere close to eat. I would definitely not stay here again. There was a weird vibe to what we're used to. Many guests looked miserable. Hardly anyone mingled or talked to each other. They kept to themselves. We did meet a couple people but that was it. We stayed 4 nights and I regretted my choice. We traveled 5 weeks through Europe staying at a new hotel every 1 or 2 nights. This was our least favourite for sure. Visit Popeye Village and spend a nice day at Paradise Bay to get away.
I’d advise all of you to pay a bit more somewhere else instead of booking a room there … 1) One of the hotel’s staff opened our room at 5:00 am even though the door was closed … they apologised and offered a lunch buffet (once…) 2) The same women that offered the lunch buffet was not polite at all … when I started explaining all the problems my girlfriend and I had she cut me off like I was bothering her … 3) They have a ping pong table but they did not have any balls 4) Bed not comfy at all 5) We paid for a view on the see and we got a view on the parking instead (see picture) but in the impolite women’s opinion it is what we paid for and when I explained her that is was not she cut me off 6) Swimming pool was not that clean, that is a 4 stars hotel but there isn’t any guard 7) the gym was not like the pictures on their website We paid a four stars hotel thinking that there wouldn’t be any problems but we left disappointed. There are still some perks : - The man that works behind the reception’s desk on the night shift is very friendly - Cleaning team is also friendly - Except the bed our room was acceptable - You can postpone the check out
If you want a 4 star hotel service, please avoid this place. Good things first - the dinner buffet had some really yummy food and also the Sunday lunch buffet. Also most of the staff was friendly. On Saturday night there was entertainment in the bar which we enjoyed. Cons - I will attach pictures showing the state of disrepair of bits of this hotel. The indoor pool had two big glass window panels literally missing. There was a storm in Satuday and we were being rained on in the indoor pool cause the roof was leaking. Also there were peeling walls, rust everywhere. After the storm the surround of one of the outside pools was not even swept and till the following day was full of debris. Worst even still was that in Saturday there was a dead cockroach near a deckchair in the indoor pool. On Sunday that cockroach was still there, so obviously no staff had been round and cleaned the indoor pool area. Because of the heavy rain, we had water coming in the room. Staff came to mop it up but must have missed a puddle because I managed to slip and fell. When I told this to the guy on reception, he did not even acknowledge what I had told him Also breakfast was mediocre at best. If you are a 4 star hotel offer 4 star service
Had a decent stay at this hotel, receptionist are very helpful even if a little busy at times. The rooms are good but the decor and hallways are a little dated and could do with modernising but everything worked as it should. The pool areas are big and plenty of loungers around. The indoor pool area is run down and older so we kept to the main pools. The food was decent at the restaurant and the evening entertainment was great especially the kids loved the activities put on like quizzes and bingo. Has a well stocked shop on site with games room and outdoor kids play area. It also has an another restaurant across the road with a private beach and water sports activities which was great. Location is good if you rent a car or fancy the long bus journeys. I noticed a lot of locals getting off buses and parking at the hotel to use the pool and facilities at the weekends so be aware it gets very busy at times. Overall a good stay we would happily stay again.
I strongly do not recommend this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the hotel staff treated us like intruders. After a long flight and exhausting bus transfer, we were not offered any food or drinks. Instead, they told us to go to a terrible and overpriced restaurant across the street and take care of it ourselves completely unacceptable for an all-inclusive stay. The bar service was just as bad – bar staff was extremely rude, unhelpful, and painfully slow. It honestly felt like the staff were doing everything they could to make guests give up on using the bar. Every time you take even a bottle of water, you’re watched with suspicion and practically treated like a thief. There’s no air conditioning in the lobby, which makes it uncomfortably stuffy. At the pool which has salty water and is really deep, people smoke freely, and there is no lifeguard on duty, which is not only unpleasant but also unsafe. The so-called “private beach” is nothing more than a part of the port, where you're constantly breathing in fumes from the endless stream of arriving ships. There's absolutely nothing relaxing about it. Avoid this place. It’s not worth the money or even a single star.

It is a beautiful church with a magnificent appearance in the Meliaha region with its location dominating the hill and its architecture. It is one of the dozens of places to see in Malta, it definitely deserves a visit. You can easily reach it by bus from the center.
The Mellieha Parish Church is one of the most remarkable and beloved landmarks in Malta, located in the scenic town of Mellieha. Its rich history, grand architecture, and stunning location make it a must-visit for anyone exploring the area. The church is set on a hill, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, including the nearby countryside and the sparkling Mediterranean Sea. This vantage point not only enhances the beauty of the church but also makes it a perfect spot for photos. Whether you’re looking to admire the beautiful scenery or appreciate the church itself, the views are definitely something to behold. The exterior of the Mellieha Parish Church is striking, with its grandiose facade and towering bell tower that can be seen from a distance. The church's design is classic yet elegant, blending traditional Maltese architecture with intricate details that give it a unique character. The surrounding square adds to the charm, making it an inviting place for both locals and visitors. Once inside, you’ll find an atmosphere of peace and serenity. The interior of the church is adorned with beautiful artwork, sculptures, and intricate carvings that reflect the country’s religious heritage. The soft lighting and calm ambiance provide a space for quiet reflection, and the rich history of the church can be felt as you explore the sacred halls. This church is not only a religious site but also a central hub for the local community. It hosts various events, including religious services, weddings, and festivals. Its role in the community adds to the sense of warmth and hospitality that visitors experience when they stop by. For those interested in Malta’s culture, history, and religion, the Mellieha Parish Church offers a unique opportunity to experience all three. It’s a place of beauty, tranquility, and connection to the island’s heritage, making it a memorable stop for anyone visiting the area.
A visually stunning piece of architecture as approached walking up the hill from the bay below. The internals do not disappoint either. As an added bonus the town of Mellieha is also a delightful place to wander around...
It's a beautiful place as a tourist from Hungary. The only thing that we didn't get to get inside of the church and couldn't get any information about when we would be able to get in. The view was amazing you could see the beach from the top and a large part of Melliha. Overall it was beautiful and interesting. Would recommend
I wish I came earlier than 7pm so that I could see our lady of Mellieha don't miss going down the Grotto this was where there was a miraculous lady. Beautiful church in Malta!
The church is a very typical church, nice to come in and visit. During November, it is not so crowded and you have free parking in front of the building
You cannot really go into the church, it looks nice on photos and it has its own features. You can spend 5-10 mins here and that’s it. If you cannot make it. You missed nothing as long as you were in Malta the three cities
Right at the top of the hill, overlooking Mellieha Bay, is this beautiful church. On most days you are welcome to go onside and visit, but on this visit, the main church was closed. There are clearly renovations being done. I did however manage to visit the courtyard and its worship Chambers. Again, this place is steeped with history and much of this can be seen around the church. Stunning beauty and architecture.

Smooth, scenic, and efficient — the Gozo ferry is a hassle-free and family-friendly way to travel between Malta and Gozo. ⛴️
A speedy and cheap way to get between the main island of Malta and Gozo. Its worth a day trip out there as there's a lot to see and plenty to visit. Smooth and easily accessible for all, and if its a clear sunny day, its an incredibly welcoming trip across the water.
Very easy to Q our car. Extremely organised staff direct cars efficiently. So easy for us the ublic to drive on and off with their experienced guidance.
Great place to visit ;) Malta is actually small but many places to see and explore. Gozo island and surrounding islands are all must see and explore. Malta weather helps because it’s more beautiful in the sun than rain. The terminal is easy to get to and you have a fantastic view of the city of Gozo. You can’t argue with the beautiful views and the medieval look of the town. If you don’t go to blue lagoon it’s definitely a great place to explore and experience.
Absolutely unacceptable and aggressive behavior by the so-called head of security. When we showed the wristband from a ticket we had purchased in Malta to travel to Comino (via Gozo), due to bad wind conditions, he told us we had been scammed and that we couldn’t travel — without even mentioning any option to buy a valid ticket. He immediately responded with aggression and, when we tried to approach another staff member for help, he started yelling and pushed me twice. He refused to give me his name. It’s an absolute disgrace that such a person is in charge of “security.” As soon as I return to Malta, I will file a formal complaint. I sincerely hope that no one in the Gozo Channel team ever experiences this kind of treatment when they are tourists in another country. This person is truly a danger.
The trip on ferry was lovely but my wife which is disabled found it very long walk to ferry and getting of the ferry there was no offer assistance maybe this something can sort out by having some wheelchairs so get to ferry and off
Head of security yelled at and physically pushed my partner twice (~16:30 06/10/25) when asking to make formal complaint, other staff not helpful and could not provide a manager. He yelled, swore and insulted. Terrible service, not only not making more safe but making less safe. Not having someone who could address issue on site means that we have to go through more hoops to deal with. He is aggressive, and mean and should not be working at this facility.

Beautiful shrine and religious interest. A original painting by St Luke of our Blessed mother of Our Lord Jesus Christ
Visited Sanctuary of Our Lady on a weekday morning. Places nearby for coffee, snacks and meals. The parish church was closed in Friday late morning and early afternoon with locked doors. Inside the Sanctuary of Our Lady, one is able to view a painting by St. Luke on stone of the Madonna and child. There is also a human relic to the right side of the altar. Behind the door is a wall adorned with multiple personal stories testifying to healing miracles which range from female infertility, childhood sicknesses and deformity to ailing geriatrics. A small gift shop is available for purchase of holy water, holy oil, small statues, tapestry and various trinkets. Prayer requests can be written in a large book inside the gift shop or written on a piece of paper and placed in a large wooden box which is visible immediately upon entry to the Sanctuary. After visiting the Sanctuary on a Friday, I returned for mass on Saturday. Services are held Monday through Saturday at 8:30 am and Sunday at 10 am in English.
The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Mellieħa is one of Malta’s most cherished pilgrimage sites, blending deep religious devotion with centuries of history. Carved partly into the rock, the sanctuary houses a revered icon of the Virgin Mary believed to date back to the early Christian period. Its quiet, spiritual atmosphere contrasts beautifully with the scenic views of Mellieħa below. Visitors are often struck by the sense of peace inside, the rich collection of votive offerings, and the artistry of the chapel’s interior — a true reflection of Malta’s enduring faith and heritage.
A majestic temple perched on a hill. The magnificent architecture both outside and in the middle is mesmerising and a sight to behold at any time of the day.
An impressively located sanctuary with a beautiful view of the bay and the city (sanctuary is also beautifully visible from a distance). The surroundings of the church are well organized and perfectly arranged.
As old as Christianity. Or even older, because according to local tradition, the nymph Calypso was already worshipped in the cave against which the church is built in ancient times. However, with the arrival of Saint Paul in 60 AD, the pagan sanctuary was transformed into a Christian sanctuary. When a church was first built is lost in the mists of time, the current church was built in several phases between the 16th and 18th centuries. The church's altarpiece, a 12th or 13th century Byzantine-style fresco, is said to be miraculous. This is the reason why the church has attracted so many (famous) pilgrims throughout the centuries, and still attracts them today.
We went here for Sunday Mass which is at 10 o clock and in English. Its tiny so get there in plenty of time there are chairs in the side alters if all the sits in the main part of the church have been taken.
It's small, not opulent but atmospheric. Don't miss stopping here at least for a few hours when travelling by bus via Mellieha. There's a small museum here, as well as a collection of votives and a documentation about papal visits. Through a glass floor you may see a crypt with ancient bones.

The most beautiful and wild beach from Malta! I enjoy it at maximum there .. Good for surf too 😍🏄🏖⛱
Wonderful place, you definately have to see it once!
Beach for locals and families.
(Translated by Google) Yellow sand beach very beautiful to look at. Part of the beach is clayey so the water is cloudy and the bottom is slimy. Very beautiful view from above. I wouldn't stop here for the sea but only for the sunset ritual at the local Singita ✨ (Original) Spiaggia di sabbia gialla molto bella da vedere. Parte della spiaggia è argillosa quindi l’acqua è torbida e fondale viscido. Vista dall’alto molto bella. Non sosterei qui per il mare ma solo per il rito del tramonto al locale Singita ✨

Nice beach, nice view good restaurant nearby.
Lovely small beach not too busy. A bit rocky would bring water shoes . You can buy food and drinks there and Easy to get to by bus or taxi.
Dirty, small beach and coz of waves not a chance to swim. So we don't recommend it at all.
Beach is attended mostly by the Maltese, the main issue is the amount of jellyfish. The beach service does try to take some out in the mornings but there are still a lot during the day
excellent beach for chilling out, nice sunbeds and sun umbrellas.Good beach attendant,Victoria cafe great for good food, and great service of all the staff employed there.Busy at weekends with the Maltese people though.
This is a lovely beach , mainly Maltese families use it so it’s very clean and well kept , such a great place
A bit quiet in the winter but Victoria Bar Cafe was great for a meal and coffee, the lady that served us was friendly and helpful. Meal was huge. Customers in the cafe were also very friendly. Five Stars for the people at Armier Bay.
Good service and clean beach. Security is good, the guy even serves you from the nearby shop. 2 sandbeds for 18€. The sand is perfect on the beach, but in the water, there are a lot of big rocks.

Relaxed and friendly dive centre, very close to main dive sites. Instructors very friendly, not rushed and ensured I had a great week diving and added to the experience. Would highly recommend. Thank you Nev, Melody, Lukas and Fabian.
We had an epic week of diving here! A massive shoutout to Lucas for guiding us the whole week, he planned the dives perfectly taking us to all of the best spots and also got me through my deep and wreck diving course. The whole team were super enthusiastic, Lucas clearly loves his job and guiding people, he is very passionate and easy to learn from. Neville was also a great host making arranging the trip easy and ensuring everything was coordinated. A great team and setup all around!
Passed my PADI Open Water course at Paradise Diving and then had an extra fun dive. Nev and his team were welcoming, encouraging and incredibly helpful throughout. They create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere that is instantly calming and their experience/knowledge is very evident. Melody was my instructor and I cannot thank her enough; she was truly amazing! I am naturally risk averse, over think, and was scared of some of the tasks. Melody's constant encouragement, considerable skills, clear explanations, and willingness to go at my pace, reassuring when needed was exactly what I needed. She is such a professional and exceptionally expert instructor and I felt very lucky to have her. I am so pleased to be PADI certified now. Chris accompanied us on the dives and was a constant support giving me helpful top tips throughout. And Lukasz who took me on my fun dive when I was qualified was a calm, experienced presence throughout, able to let me practice and always there if needed with help and advice. What an amazing team and great dive centre! Cannot recommend highly enough!
Thank you Mélodie, Neville, Fabien and the staff. I did 4 dives with Paridise diving during easter holidays. The staff is really kind and pro. They came to my hotel to pick me each times. I rent the material (really good quality and well maintain). If you are in Malta to dive, I advise you to go through them. Wonderfull experience thanks !
We had such a great experience diving with Paradise Diving Center for our wedding anniversary! I usually have trouble with my mask, but Aga took the time before the dive to help me find one that fit properly. She was also super patient. It made such a difference! And she’s fantastic! The dives were great, the fish were amazing, and I felt safe and relaxed the whole time. The whole team was friendly & professional. Highly recommend them if you want a fun, well-organized dive with people who really care.
Thank you Nev, Melody, Lukas and Fabian for incredible 10 dives in Malta. Highly recommend the dive Center, easy going and most importantly safe diving. 5 Mio stars ;)
Brilliant three days' diving with the team at Paradise. It had been almost a year since my previous open water dive so it took a minute to get comfortable, and the crystal clear water around Paradise Bay, Comino and Gozo was perfect. Fabien and Melody were great guides and Chris was an excellent buddy with whom I felt very safe. I was thrilled to achieve my first wreck swim-through as well as exploring lots of incredible cave / rock formations. Big thanks to Neville and everyone at Paradise - hoping to be back again in 2026.
The team including Lukasz and Melodie were excellent. Neville was a very considerate owner too as they were very accommodating with travel to the dive site and allowed one of our party to snorkel as weren't well enough to dive. The diving was very good with clear visibility and plenty of interesting fish including tuna and octopus. Would definitely recommend!

Serene and peaceful if you want to spend some time in prayers. A place where we can detach all busy cars, people and every other noise. The best thing is that it's located directly under the road and yet really quiet. Would recommend
Our Lady Of the Grotto is near Our Lady’s Sanctuary. Entry is off the main road. One must traverse down a flight of rather steep stairs twice- once to get to a platform and once again to enter the grotto itself. Advise close toed and sturdy shoes. As the grotto is outdoors, there are many bugs and molds growing around and inside of the grotto. Those sensitive to allergies and asthma or with concerns regarding air quality should plan accordingly. Fresh flowers and large candles are welcomed to be placed at the Madonna’s feet. The gates close promptly at 5:45 pm.
Don't bother with this place if you are a normal tourist who wears a t-shirt, they don't let you in unless you're fully covered up (who wears long sleeves on a red hot day?) But they don't tell you that while taking your €2 at tourist information. I'm pretty sure if Jesus washed the feet of beggars and touched loppers a blokes unclothed forearm wouldn't be an issue. Give this one a wide berth.
Once a month, I go pray and offer candles in this place. I come between 9-1pm. I always find it peaceful, and great place to sit down and meditate. The place is cooler than the temperature outside. I will always visit this place it helps me stay grounded.
Nice spot. We discovered it by coincidence. To access you will see a little metallic door and then you need to go down to some stairs. Free entrance, but of course you can leave a donation if you want
A very quiet and peaceful place to pray. Fantastic calm energetic atmosphere. A true hidden gem.

Beautiful and peaceful place to enjoy nature and watch the birds. Entrance is free but you can leave a donation. Staff is super friendly, welcoming visitors in Maltese, English or French. They have binoculars that you can use for free.
Five stars for tranquility of walk. Mostly sounds of birds and no sightings of anything other than beetle, bee, lizard. Still beautiful. Near a bus stop and across the street from a beach, food, water and snacks. Enter up the stairs through the visitors center. Bathroom under the stairs of the visitors center around the corner.
Very little to see despite us trying really hard. Very few birds on/around lake. Only 2 places (buildings) from which to see the lake, rest is just a bushy path. Puzzles and life cycle games in the entry building were nice. Staff is welcoming, informative and friendly. 2 toilets by the entry building.
I couldn't have found a chameleon but I had only 30 mins. It's great that Malta also has places like these, it should be promoted more.
Knowledgeable and friendly staff, beautiful surroundings, and a great place to spot wildlife. The highlight was seeing a kingfisher hunting on the lake!
Very peaceful haven. We walked around slowly and observed quite a few creatures. Unfortunately at the time we went there were no birds resting however we will go again until we are lucky to be there at the right time.
Lots of bird species present when we were there but most were a good distance away. I wish they would put a few bird blinds closer to where the birds are in the mud flats. Still well worth the time.
Amazing nature reserve, we went specifically to look for chameleons. The park can easily be accessed via bus or car, just be aware of the opening days & hours, can be found on their website. The park is free of charge. We got in at 14:00, immediately when the park opened and it was very quiet. The walking trail is very short, so take your time. In total we spotted four chameleons! Some advice on how to spot them: - Go early to the park when it’s open. We spotted chameleons close to the trail, but when they saw us, some started to move farther away from the trail, making it harder to be spotted by someone else - With regards to above, do not touch the animals or get too close to them. You’ll only scare them off - They can be found on eye level, or higher. We didn’t see any lower or closer to the ground. - Take. Your. Time. After every five steps we stopped to look around a bit. - No need to be very quiet or anything. In fact, the first chameleon we spotted was very close to the entrance, and we only saw it because he was slowly moving away from us due to some noise. (Our kid was whining he wanted some candy. As we found our first chameleon because of him, he did get a lot of candy) Of course, most people actually visit this park for the birds, but that just isn’t my cup of tea to be completely honest.

On this day, two years ago, we went with a friend from Mexico and others from Colombia to explore this corner of Malta. It was a bus ride to the nearest point and a walk of almost 30 minutes. Getting there is easy, and the most important thing is to protect yourself from the sun, especially during the summer when it's strong. A beautiful place shaped by the sea and soil erosion.
This place requires little walking to reach. One suggestion, before visiting this place pls check with weather department about the wind condition. Kayaking is one good option to get inside the lagoon. Doesn't work on high wind days. A beautiful place to see.
Next to the beach, you can rent a kayak – or at one of the nearby beaches – and you definitely shouldn’t miss it. The view from above is amazing, but once you enter the lagoon, the water is crystal clear and the color is stunning. Kayak rental is €15 per person or €25 for two people. Highly recommended!
Of the main track, but worth a visit. Spectacular little bay and hidden cave/pool. You can hire small kayaks to go to the cave. Not much else around so take drinks.
Unique place with stunning views. No tickets are needed! Parking is free as well! From the parking there is a little uneven path, so not for the elderly. Once you find the end you are instantly rewarded with a stunning lagoon. You are unfortunately no able to swim due to the rocky cliffs.
its a nice place to visit we want to swim but we cant find a way down unless you swim in the edge of the cliffs. But still a nice place to make a picture here.
Amazing place, we rented kayak from seasport Malta and went there on the water. The swim was spectacular, the water was so clear❤️
Gorgeous views! Easy 5 min walk from the parking lot area to the lagoon. If you look across to Comino Island, you can see the Elephant Cliff. You can hike around the entire area/campsite, including down to Slug’s Bay. Watch your step, rocks are sharp and they are perfect ankle-rolling baseball sized rocks. Highly recommend of you're looking for a nature walk area.

This beach is easy to reach from most parts of malta as there are 3 bus stops along the main road. The beach itself is beautiful and one of the best in the Mellieha area You can hire a pair of sunbeds and parasol for €15. There is a lifeguard on the beach and the water is very clear, clean and shallow. I would recommend this as a great beach for family's and a relaxing day in Malta. ❤️🏖️🇲🇹
Beautiful sandy beach, lots of beach bars and affordable sunbeds (18€ for two beds and an umbrella, Cisk beer is 3.5€). Water is shallow for about 30m in, so great for little kids. Water can be a bit murky in the shallow end from the sand but is beautiful in the deep end.
A really nice place to enjoy a day at the beach. There's everything one would need, cafes, restaurants, sunbeds and umbrellas. Everything is also quite fairly priced and affordable. There's also a water park there, which you need to buy tickets for. The water is also good and there's basically no waves.
Great beach, clear water and not too windy. 20€ for 2 sun beds and 1 umbrella. Not busy. Easy to access from the street (stairs) and you don’t have to walk for the bus stop.
Clear water and shallow for a very long distance and ideal for non swimmers or children. Water was so clear I could see my feet 👣. Got two beach chairs with umbrella for only €18 right next to the bar and bathroom. This beach was so clean and tranquil that we’re making a trip back to Malta to enjoy it some more!
Great sandy beach. On one kilometer of sand you will find everything you need to enjoy and have fun. Cafes, restaurants, fast food, shops for renting equipment and buying things for the beach. Two sun loungers and an umbrella for 15 euros. 4 bus stops along the beach. Close to the town of Mallieha. Popay village is nearby, the Red Tower and much more
A very wide sandy beach with a beautiful view of Mellieha. The water is crystal clear. There are many food stalls and small shops on the beach, and you can rent sun loungers, umbrellas, SUPs, scooters and much more. And what is also important, there are free showers and toilets.
Nice clear water and sandy beach, not very deep at the start so ideal for small children. You can purchase two sunbeds with umbrella for around 15€.
