A Hidden Gem: Fundación NMAC Our visit to Fundación NMAC was an unforgettable experience. The outdoor gallery is stunning, featuring unique installations that beautifully blend art and nature. Each piece invites you to explore its meaning while appreciating the serene surroundings. The visit takes approximately 1.5 hours, which is just the right amount of time to enjoy the artworks and the peaceful atmosphere without feeling rushed. We highly recommend Fundación NMAC to anyone who loves contemporary art, outdoor spaces, or simply wants to discover something extraordinary. It’s well worth the visit, and we’re already looking forward to going back!
A hidden gem indeed. A fun way to spend a few hours roaming around the forest, admiring contemporary art pieces. Thoroughly enjoyable and well worth the price of 10 euros. Suitable for all ages. A QR code provides a map for phones or you can buy a psychical map for 50 cents. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Very interesting museum, unique location amongst the pine forrest, it’s a bit of a walk, but most definitely worth the visit, some art installations are very impressive. Lovely drive to get there from Marbella about 1 and half hours.
A wonderful place to spend a couple of hours exploring the sculpture park. We loved the James Turrell piece
The best place to come not only with kids but also just as adult. Lots of safe and free space, amazing world know artist expositions. One of the greatest contemporary museums under open air in Europe. Highly recommend
Unique, wonderful, great experience, inexpensive, interesting are just some of the ways of describing the wonderful place. My best personal description is simply "Art in the pines ". Just south of Vejer de la Frontera on the N340 in the direction of Tarifa is the most amazing art installation imaginable. It consists of Modern Art exhibits mostly outdoors in the pine forests. It takes about two hours to complete and is really worth the visit. Very different and while not all of the exhibits will please everybody there is definitely some superb items. The NMAC Foundation is a unique non-profit institution in Southern Spain. Contemporary art in perfect harmony with nature The NMAC Foundation invites international artists to create site-specific commissions that tune in with the landscape analysing the social, historic, geographical and cultural context of NMAC's location.
Worth a visit just for the James Turrell! But a lovely park in the middle of a golf course!
Lovely place in the middle of nowhere, well worth a visit. Family and pet friendly. The nature Is beautiful and the contemporary art exhibition is great.

Simply it was cloased today during their normal morning opening hours, for no reason
We got married here on the 6th October. Beautiful church, steeped in history. Jesus (the priest) is very young, charming and funny. Made the while experience so easy for us! Thank you
Nice and interesting church in Véjer de la Frontera. It is probably very late gothic with archs which are only slightly ojival. They are near semi-circular. The interior contains wonderful polychromatic wooden statues which are taken to the streets during the Easter Holy Days. Worth the visit.
A lot of history and beauty in one place!
WoW ! Still remains very original.

Really good service from Bicicletas Francisco. I hired two bikes for a week, a well maintained road bike and top quality ebike. Both were supplied with helmets, locks, spare inner tube, tools and charger and were delivered and collected from my accommodation. With friendly and helpful service, I would definitely recommend and use them again on my next visit.
Very good Bike-Shop for new bikes and also for used bikes - they repaired my old race-bike and the prices are quite fair. You can book also a bike-tour and it's possible to lend a bike for some days - including a helmet and a lock. Very good complete service!
Great bikes, super fun day with the boys. Fantastic service. Highly recommend.
The staff were fantastic to hire a bike from and plan the days cycle, quick response time via WhatsApp and flexible with drop off of bike times. The electric bikes were in great condition.
Great service and bikes! We rented two e bikes for a day out and loved the bikes and the service so much that we came back and rented them again for the weekend! The guys were great and even leant us a bike back pack! They also gave us a map and showed us lots of routes, the cycle along the river was lovely. Really great tips! I would totally recommend. The bikes were excellent and service superb. Make sure to go for the e bikes to help you get up the hill from the beach :-) Looking forward to our next trip to Vejer to rent the bike again and do some more exploring! Thanks for everything, really made our trip!
We had a super experience with Francisco. Following an email query he was straight back in touch and we rented two carbon road bikes for 3 days. He provided excellent routes and we were extremely well set up with all the gear. Top class customer service and very reasonable cost. My brother in law went back and rented mountain bikes - again very well looked after.
Excellent service and fantastic local bike shop. We rented two mountain bikes and they were perfect and in very good condition. Good prices. Its great to have a place to rent bikes around Vejer and also great to be able to support local. We were also given details of routes around Vejer. Great place for mountain biking. The very best of luck with the shop and thanks again Francisco.
No gravel bikes but they mounted new tyres on a racebike and I had 3 wonderfull rides. Pick up at our stay was organised very fluent. Very happy with bike and service. Thanks!

I would not recommend using them as a gestor if you buy a house from them. They never located my electricity supplier, I had to find it myself in the end after they stole it from another house. Also no first occupation licence was provided and many other problems. If you buy a house from them you should get a different and better gestor if you do not want lots of hassle.

We found in it, paintings by local artists, archeology of the area, even a small gallery in the main room with paintings for sale. There is also great information, which you can carefully spend time cultivating with. A recommendable visit to this municipality, if you have time to stop. Housed in a beautifully restored building in the heart of the fabulous white washed town of Vejer de la Frontera. €2 entry, excellent value. Very unfriendly , unwelcoming lady at front desk 9/9/22 a.m. Pity the script is all in Spanish only. Had to interpret by photos only. No toilet paper, hand towels or soap. Still, well worth the visit, super experience. Would have loved to have been able to understand more of it!
Interesting to browse for half an hour if you are fascinated by local history. However, recently opened (March 2019) and most displays have no translation into English, German or French. You would need good Spanish to understand the written information on display. As yet there are no printed guides either. The building itself is very interesting with some good views from various windows. If you find this review helpful please like 👍🏼

(Translated by Google) The original structure of the Church of Santa Catalina dates back to the 15th century. The church is located in the square of the same name in Conil de la Frontera. The then rulers of Conil, the Guzmán family, gave permission to build the church. It should be completed by the end of the 15th century at the latest and usable for church services, which was also achieved. Originally, three stone pillars protruded from the church, which together formed a temple. Nowadays this is very difficult to see. The head of the church was covered with a vault and the rest of the church received a wooden construction as a roof. Santa Catalina was the largest church in Conil de la Frontera from its construction until the beginning of the 20th century. Today it is the art and culture center of Conil, where exhibitions of famous artists are held at regular intervals. There are several restaurants and pubs around the square that invite you to stay. Cars pass very little there.
