I haven't been here since I was a teenager! in those days there wasn't even mains electricity! there was a generator out the back in a shed, how things have changed, absolutely lovely place, canalside setting, tasteful decor, stunning views and fabulous food, honestly, the carvery is to die for! I'll post some photos, the food is as good as it looks, the staff are wonderful, friendly and efficient, once you've had you're fill, there's Foxton Locks themselves, an amazing piece of engineering and a fabulous view from the top lock, all in all a great place to while away a few hours and get a fabulous feed
Had a very disappointing Chicken Caesar Salad. Chicken was cold rather than freshly cooked warm, the croutons were as hard a rock, and the Parmesan was as tasteless as the dressing. I finished with Eaton Mess - another disappointing episode. The meringue had no chewiness and wasn’t even combined with the fruit and cream. What sounded good on the page didn’t deliver on the plate. Staff pleasant and atmosphere good too. Idilic location.
We hired The Old Boathouse for a 40th birthday party, and Emma couldn’t have been more helpful. The venue was perfect for our party of around 50 people (including children and dogs!). The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the pub and boathouse to anyone. Thank you so much, we’ll certainly be back!
Lovely atmosphere, seating available outside close to the canal and if the weather isn't so good the conservatory offers a lovely seating area overlooking the canal. Dog friendly both outside and in, the menu was a little limited but good quality ingredients.
❤️ Foxton Locks & like the Inn. We had coffee at the Inn, which we enjoyed on the patio overlooking the water, where swans entertained us to a territory fight. Staff are friendly & helpful. Attractive ladies' toilets.
Food is great, views of the canal are great! We went when the lock itself was closed so it wasn’t very busy, fantastic place to stubble across on a Saturday morning! (They use Heinz beans for breakfast, and they also have good bbq sauce too!)
Great place to stop on a long journey Great food been twice yet to see a canal boat going through!
⭐☆☆☆☆ Not the happiest about my experience here today to be honest. Came to Foxton Locks Inn for my mother’s 57th birthday lunch with family and left disappointed. I ordered the Hunter’s Chicken — arrived near burnt, dry, drowned in an overly sweet BBQ marinade, bacon soft, topped with bland cheddar. The chips were the real letdown: dry, powdery, clearly pre-bought, and nothing like homemade. My mother’s meal was cold, my aunt’s bangers and mash had sausages burnt and rock hard — she left them, and even the dog wouldn’t have eaten them. My uncle, who ordered scampi with peas and chips, couldn’t get over how bad the potatoes were. He even asked others to taste to check if it was just him — everyone agreed they were awful. The peas were dull, clearly tinned, and the scampi straight from a frozen packet. For a reserved birthday lunch, it was a complete letdown across most of our table. The only positives were the pâté starter and the polite table service. But overall, the food and kitchen execution were far below par — especially for the prices charged. To top it off, we still had to pay £3.50 for parking. Over £22 for my meal alone — for food this poor? I’m still feeling it hours later. Won’t be returning.

Fabulous farm shop!! Close to Market Harborough. Well, worth a visit for amazing fresh produce . Check out the lovely cafe with lovely outdoor space . Cosy up with a hot chocolate on a lovely autumn day
Visited while staying in the area. The selection and choice is vast. Can recommend the classic sausages, really tasty, firm skin and little fat when cooking. Also picked up salad, fresh rolls and fruit from here, great quality and reasonable prices. Parking is easily accessible, sat nav took us to a caravan site just down the road - stay on the main road and you'll find it!
The postcode took me 300 yards down the road. Keep going, you won't miss it there are white signs on the road. Plenty of parking. Actually one of the best farm shops I've ever been too. The cafe / restaurant is very nice with plenty of tables. You can eat in the outside area with dogs. The food that's served is fresh food from the shop itself. I can recommend the vegetarian breakfast!! The farm shop is quite large, with plenty of food and fresh counters. To note, the homeware section is very small, this place is all about the food!! There's an outside plant area, although it's not very big. It can get busy so arrive early. Definitely worth a visit, I shall return !! Toilets available in the cafe.
Beautiful farm shop with lots of different foods, excellent selection of cheeses, meats, fruit and veg. If I could give the cafe 10 stars, I would! The staff were lovely and helpful and the food was delicious and plentiful. The beer battered haddock was superb and I'm difficult to please. Will definitely return.
Brilliant shopping experience in a local independent establishment. Most things farmed on the large grounds or locally. Quality is exceptional and very friendly staff. A cafe is out the back, plenty of parking, local beers and a deli counter. Whilst prices are higher then the major supermarkets, remember there is no bulk buying power and no undercutting farmers here, the profits are put back into a real local business with food quality being much higher. Highly recommended.
Thought I would give breakfast a go again, after being disappointed the last time I tried for lunch. Sausage sandwich - three chipolatas, cut in half, where the thickness of the bread was more than the sausage. Just put more sausages in the sandwich and charge more. Service was excellent I must say, but won’t be returning after the second bad food experience.
Went for a lunch on Sunday with the family and they weren’t busy. The children were asked if they wanted ketchup or mayo with their meals, both said yes. When their food arrived the sauces never did. My salad was swimming in dressing. We order two more cokes after trying to get the attention of 2 waiter’s, only 1 bottle was brought to us. These are simple things that staff should be getting right. Then we went to purchase a couple of items from the shop. There was only one person on the till with a queue already forming. Slowest service so I left the items. Very disappointed visit.
Stopped here for a snack after a day trip. Really nice place. Superb choice of fresh produce and some marvellous hidden gems (white asparagus to name one) . The home made chips were so good we ordered again! Nothing too mich trouble, hopefully see you again

Interesting place to visit, only able to see certain parts of the castle due to it being a private home. Amazing gardens and walks. Would highly recommend to others.
Well worth a visit. A little if history here and some gorgeous rooms to see. The gardens still had a little if colour and beautifully laid out. Spectacular views.
Local History Northamptonshire is a hive of english history. Naseby, Holdenby house, Fotheringgay, Althorpe house Boughton house, Rockingham castle, the list goes on an amazing morning early afternoon at this beautiful castle and grounds are picturesque and well maintained, the Easter egg hunt at the castle was fun for the whole family. Easy parking and access, polite and friendly staff, and some really knowledgeable guides in rooms around the house, no pictures inside ad this is not allowed and some areas off limits as a family still lives here. Definitely worth a visit, and they also do events, we have been to a previous Viking one, which was spectacular, with village setup with crafts, dressing up and historical dress. 100 % recommended
Hidden gem. Passed this place on the way to the industrial estate and returned another day to have a wander around. Really helpful parking volunteer, never seen a field so perfectly uniform and she directed us to the disabled spaces. Walking tours for all ages, and considerate of people's speed. Very prepared woman had brought a stool for stationary history talks. Like most heritage sites there is alot of gravel, uneven antique stone floors; however as long as my fellow visitors was supported it was easy to get around. Inside a very knowledgeable gentleman, with an added bonus of Charles Dickens ties (I will not spoil it for you). Nice tea room, helpful and polite staff (Vegan and gluten free options). Gift shop with plenty for children. Obviously a well loved family home. Would recommend. Stunning unimpeded views of the countryside and neighboring church.
We only visited the gardens the time, but they are worth visiting, there’s more to see then you realise, that are fantastically kept, and the view over the Welland valley is stunning. Definitely going back. Shame it’s only open two days a week Sundays and Tuesdays.
Had a great stop off here to have lunch and drinks before we finished our journey, story of this castle is really interesting and very worth doing the tour
Only open Tuesdays and weekends during summer season. Check it's open prior to your visit. Fair slope from car park to castle.
Beautiful gardens, we went on a dinosaur day. The kids really enjoyed it. The house was very interesting and the "try the helmets on" in one of the rooms was enough to keep the 9 year old happy. The food is essentially drinks and cake though. There was a mobile pizza van there which was good but there wasn't much more, definitely not much kid friendly food, that we saw anyway.

A brilliant museum with so many different types of collections, so lovingly displayed. I went in early September and there was a special exhibition on around Penguin books which was a real treat. The displays on the Hallaton helmet were also a highlight.
Great little museum, modern and informative. Great little touches like extra reading material and a small play area for the kids (however most used the whole place as a playground which became annoying). Was surprised we spent over 2 hours in there, a d could have stayed longer if it hadn't closed at 4pm on a Saturday. The café downstairs was great, with massive drinks at okay prices.
Excellent! Went to see a photographic exhibition which was superb. The museum collection on display was a complete bonus, no idea so many items originated in Market Harborough beyond corsets. Would really recommend a visit when going to Market Harborough or even just make this the focus of your visit, although the town is well worth a mooch round. Downstrs at the museum is a lovely coffee shop too. I will certainly visit again! The museum is FREE so ideal for everyone!!
Free access and really beautifully laid out and curated - a great combination of the history of the building itself, Market Harborough history and ancient Roman history - a quick and manageable visit you can do with kids of any age (and bribe them with an ice cream from Gallone’s next door!)
Harborough Museum of Art Gallery at Market Harborough of South Leicestershire is located on site for exhibition purposes 1st Visit to Harborough Museum Gallery of Adam And Eve Street before the Different World 🌍 Trade Centre in New South East Midlands old building in 1940s of Market Harborough Town Centre
A museum with free entry on the FIRST FLOOR of the building. Due to renovations you currently need to go up the back stairs. There are no famous exhibits, but you can see a lot of items from the lives of local residents over the last hundred years, as if pieces of eras were piled up in the windows.
Harborough museum in market harborough is a great place to visit for people of all ages. Lots of interesting things to see and do. The museum is located well in town and you can go for a coffee and something to eat afterwards, there are plenty of coffee houses and cafes to sit in or out and watch the world go by.
Free to enter museum . Interesting stuff to know about MH. The 2000 year old Helmet and its reconstruction with modern technology is superb. Nearby parking available in car parks.

Lovely little museum with very friendly, helpful staff. We were just passing through, and I'd never heard of this unique inclined plane lift before, so I was very happy to find out how it worked as the staff took time to explain to us personally. Also, it's dog friendly, so bonus, as our little fella enjoyed it rather than being left outside.
Absolute gem of a museum telling the history of the locks , historic incline plane and canal life. Great for adults and kids . A knowledgeable tour guide of the incline plane is given on the hour as well. The gift shop is well stocked and all the staff are friendly . There is plenty there for a day out with lovely walks along the locks, meals at the 2 pubs and a gift shop at the bottom and a second loved book shop and cafe with ice creams at the top.
Fascinating little museum with very knowledgeable staff and fun things to do for children too. Really helps with appreciation of the rest of the Foxton Locks site, plus they do tours of the remains of the boat lift which you normally can't access! The cute little shop at the museum's entrance is worth checking out in itself. Also pub at the bottom to pop in afterwards 😀.
Very nice experience I had when visited this museum. Got more knowledge about Foxton Locks and how they work. Even sad to know that the Locks plane were demolished in 1928 but still there's remains. Knowledgeable staff and very helpful too.
We absolutely loved the Museum! We love how friendly the staff are and how welcoming they are! They were extremely helpful with showing us how the interactive pieces in the museum worked like the example of how the boat lift worked on the model and also an example of pressure with coal to show a video of how the boat lift worked more effectively. I feel like i learnt so much about the building of Foxton Locks and felt very lucky to be able to walk round after learning about it. I would definitely say head to the Museum first before walking round the Locks to understand more about why and what happens with the Process of going through each lock. I look forward to visiting some time in the near Future! Thank you again! 😊
This museum is great it gives a great insight into the inclined plane that used to be here, its such a shame that it was scrapped in 1928
Brilliant day, lovely walks, steeped in history, great places to eat too

Fantastic 2 hour JCB driving for my daughters 21st. She absolutely loved it. Our Instructor, Robin, is enthusiastic, patient & trusting. Loads more activities to do, hope to return asap!
Today we went clay pidgeon shooting for my dad’s 70th bday surprise. We all had an amazing day, cuppa tea to start then safety briefing and then an hour of shooting . Jake & Michael our Instructors were fantastic, knowledgeable and really helped with tips and motivation. It’s not as easy as it looks but it is fun.. Highly recommend
SO MUCH FUN! If you even have the tiniest doubt about going GO! Honestly our day was so much fun! We did the quad bikes, clays and blind driving and they were all brilliant. We were a group of 10 and we never felt like we were standing around waiting at all, even watching the others was fun. The instructors were so lovely - kind, friendly, informative and patient. They made the day just perfect. We had the buffet too which was delicious. We will DEFINITELY be back!
We had a great time riding quad bikes… so much fun! Our instructor, Sarah, was lovely and took photos to capture the moment. Throughly recommend Avalanche Adventure.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We went quad biking with Robin today and had the most incredible experience from start to finish! Robin was so friendly, welcoming, and explained everything clearly, which made us feel completely at ease before heading out. My partner and I had very different experience levels — my partner has ridden quads before, whereas I was a complete beginner. Robin handled this perfectly by tailoring the safari so that we could both enjoy it to the fullest. He made sure my partner still got to experience a bit more speed and challenge, while I had the chance to build my confidence and enjoy the ride safely. The views along the route were stunning, the bikes were in great condition, and the whole experience felt really well organised and professional. You can tell Robin genuinely cares that everyone has a great time. Would 100% recommend Avalanche to anyone looking for an amazing outdoor adventure — whether you’re a first-timer or an experienced rider. We’ll definitely be back!
My wife bought me the 4x4 experience for my birthday and we had a great time! The Defender was lovely, Robin was a great instructor, and the terrain was challenging but achievable. I’m already planning my next visit!
My friend and I went archery for a double birthday event, and we’re pleasantly surprised at how fun it was! The place is huge and super spacious, plenty of parking, and with loads of fun activities. Lewis really welcomed us in, and gave us some great tips - we had a great time, we even got to try out shooting blindfolded! Super experience, we’ll definitely be coming again to try out something else. If you’re looking for something different we’d definitely recommend going!
Loved it! We did the off road landrover experience with Sarah today. First time ever driving a landrover, Sarah put me at ease, giving me confidence to get stuck in (the drive round the farm with the 2hr experience certainly helped with that) The course was plenty challenging and some of hills took a couple of attempts. It was a lot of fun. Would definitely recommend

Always love Churches architecture so here I am. It was open when I stepped in. No one was there and so quiet and peace inside. I like the big glass window with beautiful glass work.
Y have I heard the bells go 4 /5 times within an hour? it's now 9 at night No need for ur all I can hear is then bells ringing every 15 mins it's 9 now but even 8-9 at night is taking the mick
I couldn't go inside, but five stars for being a beautiful building from the outside
DDay remembrance service with 1084 Squadron Royal Air Force Air cadets.. Brilliant service, well attended full house. Beautiful church in the centre of town.
Peaceful and beautiful. Nice and warm. Lit 3 candles for my nan, my friends mum and also my friends nan. Warm and welcoming. Thank you for the wonderful visit . Nice to have the church open and able to freely walk and relax. Very much looking forward to being able to come back again. Posted a couple of pictures . Thank you .
We attended a funeral here and despite the occasion we found the church was lovely. The minister, staff and undertakers were fantastic. Our service was well delivered and very moving considering the minister stepped in at the last minute due to a last minute change of date.
I had been to the church during Christmas and it was a wonderful experience.

An interesting old building in the town centre that is open (underneath at least) so anybody can have a look around. It is very small, but there are plenty of details. I particularly like the new lock next to the old lock on an old door at the side. There is a Bible verse inscribed along the side of the building too.
A beautiful interesting old building in the heart of Market Harborough.
A school was founded in 1607 by Robert Smyth, a native of the town who became Comptroller of the City of London's Chamber. He left money for the education of poor children. In 1614 this schoolhouse was built, in accordance with Smyth's detailed instructions. Btw it’s small historical building sitting in middle of town centre. Anyone can have a look around it.
Came here for the start of a blue badge guided walk of Market Harborough - the meeting place was excellent and is an office at the moment as far as I believe!!
Quirky and unique medieval building set on wooden legs in the centre of Market Harborough next to St. Dionysius' Church. It dates from 1614. Has an open area underneath it and between the legs which is used as a market. The interior is not open to the public unless one applies through the Trustees. It's image has become the iconic symbol for Market Harborough.
Very interesting and well maintained Thanks
Very interesting unusual old school building. Can not be many of these in the world so go and see it if you can. It is also set in a very nice town full of interesting stuff and largely unspoiled.
Very nicely renovated, more spacious than it seems on the outside, parking is horrible but it is on the high street so what can you expect really?

Recently used at the weekend. Slope and steps to platform, bridge over too. Great parking facilities, didn't need the Ringo app, as mentioned on the website! Barrier tickets, plenty of payment machines in covered area, payment simply tap card or coin/note payment. £6 for the full day!
Little station for nice town. So far I found this station in good shape. Staff was attentive and friendly. Good service of trains by EMR. Plenty of parking in front of station. What I think is missing is facility for disabled people because there’s no lift for platform.
Just seen station staff member Freddie going above and beyond in customer service to retrieve a passenger's air bud which they had dropped behind railings into some long grass. That's what I call service. Staff here are always great, helpful and welcoming.
The station is good and parking works well but there are no facilities even the coffee shop looks to have given up. EMR has to be one of the worst performing train operators in the UK. Often late and only 5 carriages. On top of that it's well north of £100 to get to London so around £1 a mile and parking is £12. Trains are filthy and broken. It's embarrassing and a sign of the spiral of decline for the Midland mainline.
Fairly modern station of two platforms - platform 1 for Leicester and the north and platform 2 for London direction - A footbridge - large car park by London bound platform (2) and dop off points by both sides - a ticket office, cafe and ticket machines - also some taxis at the front and if there are no taxis around then there is a list by the station building staff are great
Great station that I use quite a lot. Fab parking and nice clean platforms. The staff are nice as well..
Have had problems knowing about the availability of short term parking, which could have been much better for assisting a friend and a relative with disabilities who needed easy access to the platforms. The lack of adequate toilets at a 'new' station has been an issue for far too long. Does anyone care about these things? EMR seem out of touch with customer needs. At least boarding a train is safer now - no large gaps to leap across.
Although it is a nice little station, it is awful for Disabled Access, (London bound) and they don’t provide discounted parking for disabled blue badge holders, even though the only way to get on to the platform in a wheelchair is through the car park, which is quite a way around the back of the station. It is really disappointing. A lack of accessibility across most train stations, seems to be standard :(

Excellent performance of The Tales of Hoffman by RBO on 19th January! Can't praise it too highly. Amazing. Will definitely be going to another cinema screening in Harborough. Thanks to all the staff & volunteers.
A fabulous venue that produces high quality amateur productions. Recommended as an audience member, but it also offers interesting opportunities to get involved at the venue.
Hay Fever was absolutely brilliant, a well put together production. All the cast were nailing it, very entertaining and not a wasted moment. A real credit to Noel Coward, he would've loved it Congratulations to you all and every success for the future. 🌈
We came for Hahaharborough during the Leicester Comedy Festival. The four acts were all really good. The venue was perfect for this type of event and the staff behind the bar were very welcoming and chatty. Will definitely return soon to enjoy and support live theatre.
We go to the Harborough theatre as often as we can with our friends as we really enjoy the plays. It’s a lovely little theatre, the players as all volunteers and there is real talent among them. We always have a nice social drink before the performance and always order drinks for the half time. We recently attended a performance of “The Anniversary “ and had our usual drink before the performance but I’m afraid we will not be supporting the bar staff the next time we go. My husband ordered a gin and tonic which was waiting for me at half time. To call it a gin and tonic was a joke. The amount of gin that was in the glass would not have filled a thimble. I suggest, if the theatre serves drinks they should invest in a measuring cup at least and not just pour the spirit into the glass. There is no way there was a pub measure in my glass but we paid pub price for it. We wanted to complain but the bar was rammed and could not get anywhere near. I suggest to anyone attending a performance and wanting a half time drink. Do not pre-order and check the amount that is poured to them.
We watch Dracula The A-musical which was funny and lively. The way this company use/manage their stage and sets is very clever, the costumes are great too. We very impressed by all the little details around the theatre and reception area which brings the patrons into the show and sets the mood. Highly recommend.
This is a sweet retro place - with the old-fashioned "linked" theatre seating. This made it a bit of a squeeze for my long legs so will ensure I opt for an aisle seat next time.
Have been a member of the theatre for over a year now and enjoyed every show. Just been to see Closer and what a professional show, difficult to believe that everyone involved is a volunteer. Acting, sound and lights and the stage crew were as slick as anything you see in London. Excellent venue all round.

I can’t fault this wonderful family business. Our very first family meeting with Taylor set the tone for our whole experience. She was so professional and made sure all our wishes were taken into account. Her organisation was brilliant, ensuring all three parts to our father’s burial were well organised. We didn’t have to worry about a single piece of the organisation. The coffin bearers were smart and respectful and the member of Stamps who welcomed family and friends into the church was a lovely man. A special ‘thank you’ to Jonathan who began to feel like one of our family because he seemed to know exactly how we were feeling and seemed to know exactly the right things to say. I cannot recommend this family business highly enough.
Having recently lost my mum , first question how and where do you start Easy answer , get in touch with stamp and sons funeral directors. From the first time meet with Sarah and the team , to the day of the funeral and cremation , they made a sad and difficult time so much easier. They took care of everything and always at the end of the phone for help and advice, my mum had a perfect send off and we could not have done that without the amazing team at stamps. Cannot thank them enough for helping us in our time of need !!!!!!
This family company made our day one of the most special of our lives. We swapped to them after another friends mum's funeral and I am so glad we did. They were professional but with a family friendly and light-hearted supportive attitude which suited our style. I imagine the style you want for your planning is exactly the flexible style you will receive. From mum being collected by two ladies, which gave me so much comfort, to the wonderful Sarah M who supported me through the planning. Anything I wanted was sorted without fuss, reliable, consistent and immediate. Communication superb and flexibility with me visiting mum and decorating her coffin wasnt any issue. On the day Johnathan and his fabulous team arrived immaculate, bang on time and in the beautiful bright ties I'd asked for. It made me cry in a good way. From getting to the service to returning us they got the mood perfectly right chatting and laughing with us... Again well judged and so respectful. What I didn't want was anything too formal and impersonal , what I received was more than I could ever have wished for. I will be always grateful. The benefit of using a family firm over a large firm shone through for me. Everyone from the minute we stepped foot through the door of their beautiful premises to the moment we stepped out of the car was perfect. Thank you the whole Stamp family what you did mattered....x
Alison, where do I start or how can I ever find the words to express just how absolutely amazing you are. Such an adorable lady who directed my Aunties funeral today, so sincerely . You have been incredible to our family, as have Stamps and we are so very grateful to you. Perfection as it’s absolute as best Alison. Thank you for being you, for the job you do and the difference you make 💕xxx
J Stamp & Sons were absolutely brilliant; highly recommend. At such a sensitive time Stamps were everything you’d hope for from the very first moment - compassionate, professional, caring, detailed and highly accommodating. An enormous thank you to Alison for her help and kindness.
My siblings were in contact with Stamps throughout the funeral process as that is what they wanted to do for my late father. Stamps were brilliant. We, as a family, were treated with utmost dignity, respect, care and kindness. When I visited my dad in the chapel of rest, it was a sad but beautiful moment. The room was lovely and plenty of space to say goodbye. The staff who took us to the funeral, cemetery and wake did so with utmost dignity. I cannot fault Stamps at all in the way we were looked after. So thank you so so much.
At one of the most difficult times you can ever experience, these people are amazing. From the moment we made contact with Stamps every person we spoke to was so kind, caring and understanding we truly felt that we were being looked after. They were so compassionate and understanding of our situation and supported us every step of the way. With their help we were able to have a ceremony for Dad that reflected what a wonderful life he had lived . As a family we can never thank you enough for all of that.

A superb venue for watching P2P's. Get there early for the best view at the top of the hill...
Love the place, great fir a family day out but a few issues, need to replace the wooden rails that have been creosoted about 400 times with something more modern and sturdy, also perhaps its time to build an actual clubhouse/weighing room rather than the patched up shed and could we consider a seating area somewhere near the trade stands? Both me and my dad have medical issues and there aren't many places one can take a load off and walking up and down a steep hill to the car in order to do so is not great
As everyone else has said, it was excellent weather; but £15 per adult entrance to find no horses running..... It turned into a very expensive picnic location. I have been attending for over 30 years, but this was a poor show for the entrance cost. It was however, brilliantly set up and a good day out. Perhaps a partial refund on exit would have been in order?
Great days racing , and good facilities ,and amenities. Not the organisers fault but some behaviour from a certain sets of race goers was disappointing . To be elbowed out of the way in the beer tent , whilst with children was surprising. Must have been desperate for a drink ! Otherwise a very enjoyable day .
Very disappointed when I turned up and told the card machine was not available, yet. It cleared me out of cash for the 5 of us. Unfortunately, in the 1st race a horse was destroyed. We were all sad from then on and left early. Nobody's fault but spoilt it.
A day to enjoy at a point to point race meeting. Various catering outlets plus a mobile bar and various stalls reminiscent of a small country show.
Very disappointing day out. Never more than 3 horses running at one time. Last race was actually cancelled. Commentator was not loud and clear enough. Go every year and this one was the worse not even worth betting on a race with 3 horses running. Organisation was good. Weather was the best part of the day. To top it all was £15 per person entry fee I’m sure this is the most expensive entry fee we have paid. Would have been ok if all the horses had been running.
Nice track very hilly
