I recently joined the whisky tour and found it to be the most comprehensive one I’ve experienced so far. The tour began with a well-made video that shared the history of the distillery, followed by an informative exhibition. We then had a guided walk through the entire distillery, which gave great insight into each stage of the whisky-making process. One unique part of the experience was the “altitude tasting” session, which helped identify the type of whisky that suited my personal taste preferences. The highlight of the tour was definitely the tasting session. Since I went with my family, we were able to sample a wide range of whiskies, including the 12-year, 18-year, 21-year, and a highball. It was a fantastic opportunity to appreciate the depth and character of each expression. If there’s one area for improvement, it would be the pace of the tour. It felt a bit rushed, and I didn’t have enough time to fully explore or take in the details, especially in the exhibition section. A little more time at each stop would have made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, it’s a highly recommended tour for both whisky lovers and curious visitors.
Took the Whisky Explorer Experience tour with Craig as our guide. The whole tour was excellent with an opportunity to taste some great Whisky that I probably wouldn’t normally buy. The entire set up at the distillery is really good, with a lovely cafe and bar area to also enjoy. Having visited other distilleries in the past, think this one was the best.
We had such an amazing experience on the Dewar’s Drams of Your Dreams tour with Michelle at Aberfeldy Distillery. The whiskies they brought out were truly exceptional! The tasting was incredibly fun, and our guide was wonderfully friendly and informative—she showed so much enthusiasm and passion throughout the experience. Although it wasn’t cheap, the £120 price tag was absolutely worth it to sample four outstanding malts over 35 years old, plus a phenomenal 32-year-old. As a special touch for our honeymoon, they even treated us to a pour of Brackla 25, which was such a kind gesture—and it tasted amazing too! Highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for something memorable and unique.
We visited Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery the 1st day of September of 2025, and it was absolutely fantastic! It has a lovely cafe and bar area to also enjoy, and the crew is wonderful. We had the opportunity to take the tour, which was the perfect mix of informative and fun. Our guide, Ian, was friendly, informative, entertaining and a Great story teller. He keep us laughing and engaged throughout. A truly memorable experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a brilliant day out in Aberfeldy! Friendly advice: Keep in mind tour time schedules or book in advance!
Love myself a fine single malt. Although Aberfeldy isn’t one of my usual go-tos, I was happy to tour the distillery — and more importantly, sample their 21-year single malt. The facility and grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The tour itself was a little dry; adding a tasting halfway through might help liven things up. Prices were reasonable, and overall it was a pleasant experience. Saluti!
what a brilliant experience. My first bottle of 'expensive' whisky was an Aberfeldy 21 when I was 40. My son treated me to the distillery tour as part of a celebration. I had a brilliant time. The tour around the distillery was excellent, the guide was excellent. We then went to the bar and Craig took over. What a knowledgeable charasmatic chap, who helped being the experience to life. Craig topped off an amazing celebration day. Great visit and would highly recommend
Visited Dewar’s Whisky Distillery and absolutely loved it. The place has a great atmosphere and is full of character. Popped into the whisky shop and couldn’t resist picking up a bottle for myself and another as a gift. Well worth the stop!
Will always visit this place. Loved the tour. First time to visit a distillery. The tour guide was Superb. The tasting of 3 kind's of whiskey was great. The experience from the tour was great. Will be back.

Lovely selection of books - both fiction and non-fiction. Nice to see different and quirky Scottish books for sale too. The gallery is worth a look, though prices are quite expensive. The cafe is also lovely. Unfortunately, no dogs are allowed inside the bookshop or cafe, so we were unable to stay as long as we'd have liked.
Nicely situated bookshop with cafe downstairs which also has a lovely outside seating area good range of teas too. Nice place to sit though lunch menu is quite limited. Though better to do a few things well than over stretch yourself!
Interesting little place with great cafe downstairs and a wonderful bookshop upstairs. Locally made cakes and slices in the cafe. Highly recommend the carrot cake. (They only keep one slice in the display fridge but there is always more in the kitchen). Goooood coffee! Cosy seating available inside or if its a lovely day, there is seating outside in the pretty garden. Friendly staff and a wide variety of books to choose from catering for all ages and most interests. Old workings of the mill still on display and very pretty location.
We have always made a point of visiting the Watermill Bookshop & Cafe when in Aberfeldy. You can always guarantee that you will receive a warm welcome in a very warm atmosphere. Not just because of the wood burner, but because the staff and building make it a great place to provide this vibe. We ordered tea and coffee with gluten free chocolate cake. We couldn’t have been more happy, everything was great and the chocolate cake was massive ! The book shop is amazing with a huge selection of books from Scotland which is a passion of mine and something that we Scots should not be ashamed off. Why does Scotland not do this more and stock just stuff from Scotland? The artwork was interesting with some amazing etchings , other work, well not so much. A great place with great staff in a great building, see you soon.
Wonderful selection of books, fresh sizable scones, and charming dogs. They kindly request you do not let your dog foul in the garden.
Wonderful food and great book selection. Speedy and friendly service. Thanks James! BEST HOT CHOCOLATE EVERR!!
Bookshop excellent. Food looked good in the cafe but we never got to try it. We waited as instructed by the fireplace for a table. They led the people directly Infront of us to a table so knew we were next. The next free table came free and they completely skipped us in the queue and led the people behind us to the table. We were too polite to kick up a stink so just left. The young lad did it and i think he might have been oblivious, the lady clocked it but didn't say anything. Neither did the rude people behind us who knew exactly what happened. I felt really embarrassed. It's worth a visit I'm sure it doesn't happen often. But kind of ruined our little visit. We were really looking forward to it as well.
A story of two halves. The bookshop is fab, a real treasure trove and terrific for browsing. The cafe food was good but even though it was quiet the service was abysmal. Sadly this means I won't be back.

The Birks of Aberfeldy is a truly stunning walk — a perfect mix of nature, tranquillity, and a little bit of adventure. The well-marked trail takes you through beautiful woodland alongside a rushing burn, with plenty of picturesque spots for photos. The highlight is the series of waterfalls, which are especially impressive after rain. The circular route is manageable for most fitness levels (about 1.5–2 hours at an easy pace), but there are some steps and steeper sections, so good walking shoes are a must. Benches and viewpoints along the way make it easy to take breaks and soak in the scenery. It’s easy to see why Robert Burns wrote a poem inspired by this place — the atmosphere is magical. Definitely worth visiting if you’re in Perthshire!
Great manageable and enjoyable walk up the hill and down again in a circular. Lots of nice waterfalls and some viewpoints. This is free to enter all year, parking is free in both carparks. The entire thing is only a few miles so it's good good bang for buck. Loads of birdlife and red squirrels. You can cross the main road at the bottom to go straight into Aberfeldy.
We walked the route back to front which made the climb much easier on the way up. The falls were dramatic as there had been a lot of rain the night before. It is truly beautiful and being so easily accessible from the town centre for most able bodied people. Well worth the visit.
Hiked this loop on a sunny October afternoon and it was magical. Totally understand Burns inspiration. Let me just thank the park management for not over touristing the trail, and leaving it in a mostly natural state. Its the single most beautiful hike I've ever had. Ive been to Iceland, laurentian mountains which were amazing. Unfortunately not wheelchair friendly, you do need a basic level of fitness, or just go very slow and take your time. I recommend going up the right side and down the left. Which will be more like a ramp going up and stairs coming down. The Trees, rocks, waterfalls, moss, autumn colors is greater as a whole than the sum of its parts. I have seen each more beautiful in other places, but everything working together makes this place spectacular.
This walk was one of the highlights of our month in Scotland. It was raining most of the two hours, but we didn't care a bit because the waterfalls were so beautiful. We walked the path counter-clockwise, which made the second half of the trip much more interesting than the first half. I think I'm glad we did it tgat way. The rain made it a bit more challanging. Wear waterproof shies with good traction, but don't miss this. And be sure to read the Burns poem about it!
Beautiful autumnal walk. Waterfalls flowing nicely. Plenty free parking. We took the anticlockwise route which I think was easier. Plenty rest stops/benches/view points on the way up. Enjoy
About an hour round trip to the top of the waterfall. Steep on way up but only for a wee while. Well worth a visit. Disappointed that the Robert burns statue is missing now from the seat at the bottom
Great walk. Suitable for every level. Wear appropriate gear such sturdy shoes as it might become slippery in near the falls.

Wonderful historical castle with a truly beautiful atmosphere - you can sense the stronghold that it once was. Clan history in abundance and such a wonderful opportunity to explore all parts of a Scottish castle. Multiple rooms and stairways allowing access to four floor. Turret rooms are extremely uneven on the floors as one would expect from a castle! The castle is largely unfurnished which added to the atmosphere in my opinion….its cold throughout with uneven floors extremely low doorways. Stunning views across to the mountains from the upper floors. It’s a proud and unashamedly masculine place. Toilets are available on the entrance floor and a tea room (unfortunately not open when we visited due to staff shortages) disability access could be problematic depending upon disability - low lighting - uneven walls and floors extremely - I feel it would be worth asking prior to arrival for access advice. Limited parking outside the castle - we really enjoyed our visit …highly recommend popping in if you are in the area. I noticed they do haunted cellar tours on certain evenings - whilst not being the most receptive to things like this I honestly think that there is a strong possibility of “ghosts” here!
Really great place. Very friendly and welcoming staff. You can explore all the rooms at your own pace. There are information boards in each room. We all had fun trying to find the little lego figures.
Brilliant place to visit! The staff are super welcoming and you can explore the rooms at your own pace. Loads of great info and the Lego figure hunt kept it fun for everyone.
Very Beautiful and Historical castle. Specially Our Panjab last king Duleep Singh History was there. Learn new things about Him. Staff were very helpful and explain us everything.
Reasonable entry fee. Can walk all levels of the castle and read about each on signs. No handicapped access, only stairs and narrow passages.
Great castle showing a mixture of styles over the years. You are free to explore at your own pace and we spent around 1.5 hours walking around
Beautifully restored castle, well worth a visit. Parking is in front of the Castle. I got there prior to opening as driving a 7.5m motorhome and there was plenty of space.
Lovely staff, well kept castle, lots of information on beautifully handwritten cards, and a Lego hunt for the kids! We had a lovely time exploring.

If you appreciate gardens, plants and wildlife then I recommend a amble around the Cluny Gardens. A private garden with a £6 entry. The owners have grown and maintained a wonderfully diverse garden with approx 7 acres of land. They've created a numbered path that weaves through their garden. The numbers help reference an info sheet of the shrubs and trees you might see. Lovely! Takes about 1hr if you take your time.
Lovely, so peaceful and relaxing, listening to birds singing and watching lots of Red squirrels at the feeding station next to the amazing Sequoia tree. Rhododendrons in bloom, and grounds very well kept, some parts are steep but plenty of benches for a rest along the way. Dog friendly
Wonderful gardens, its exact change only for entry. Loved the little information cards, we ended up spending two hours walking through in the pouring rain looking for everything mentioned! Lots of red squirrels - so calm having you coming right up to em! Wonderful big red wood too. Car park is small ( 8 cars max ), road even smaller but well maintained. Mercifully we never met anyone coming down once we turned onto the wee-er road to get to the house. Would visit again especially in Spring!
An amazing secret gem. If you love gardens, this is a must see. Curated with love and expertise, the proprietors have created a garden that surpasses many of the more well know properties. We just happened upon it and are so glad we stopped. The extensive collection of specimen trees (2 giant sequoias amongst them!) and perennials (especially trilliums) is not to be believed.
An amazing tranquil escape! The walk round the gardens is like stepping into a peaceful haven and if you’re lucky, you’ll see red squirrels 😊
This is a stunning garden for plantophiles!! We visited just to see the massive Wellingtonias and the Silver Fir, so many huge wonderful trees here! But we were also bewitched by the garden, the Primulas and blue Poppies massed with crazy Arisaemas and stonking great Himalayan Lillies…despite the rain it took us two hours to get around!! It is a beautiful garden and we appreciated the huge amount of work that has made it that way! Not an easy place to garden… The car park is good for cars but if you are in a camper or large van it might be better to park and walk up!
Great place to see red squirrels. £6 entrance fee required in cash. Honesty box by the car park
Lovely gardens with a few huge redwoods, and lots of other plants and trees, worth a visit!

Everytime I am in Aberfeldy I visit the Black Watch memorial. It gives excellent views of the River Tay and Wade Bridge.
Lovely Historical Memorial in a Beautiful Setting Located beside Wade’s Bridge and overlooking the River Tay, the Black Watch Memorial is a powerful tribute to one of Scotland’s most legendary regiments. The imposing cairn, crowned with a statue of Private Farquhar Shaw in full Highland regalia, makes for a touching and evocative sight. Historically rich and architecturally refined, the memorial marks the first official muster of the Black Watch regiment in 1740 and was unveiled in 1887 to mark Queen Victoria’s Jubilee—crafted with local pride through community funding. Nearby benches make it a peaceful spot to pause and reflect, especially with views that stretch across the Tay and into the hills beyond.
Visiting a historic monument when visiting the village of Aberfeldy, close by the river Tay.
Wonderful Memorial beside an ancient bridge over the river Tay at Aberfeldy. One minor but glaring error is some clever clogs put a lightning conductor cable down the front of the memorial instead of at the rear where few people would see it.
I witnessed a magnificent ceremony, honoring the memory of the Aberfeldy Black Watch and its first muster in the 1700s. A full band of bagpipes and a reverend with a sermon, everything was amazing!
Walked down to the river, and came across the Black Watch Memorial statue. Surrounded by beautiful views. Close to Victoria Park and Aberfeldy Golf Course. A few benches to sit on and admire the countryside. Worth a wee visit
Stumbled across the Black Watch memorial travelling through. The bridge at Aberfeldy first caught our attention which was built in the 1700's also. The town was immaculate. Only complaint was why didn't they put the lightening earth strap down the back of the statue 🤔
Set alongside the River Tay and Wade's Bridge it's in a beautifully scenic location. There is a plaque explaining about the Black Watch etc.

My husband organised a 3 night stay at Bolfracks House for a big birthday of mine. Now that I have come back down from being on cloud nine, I thought it time to review this wonderful house and gardens. From the moment you arrive, it is clear that this house is something special. Buzzing in at the security gates, you then drive up a long driveway to the house, which is hidden from view by huge rhododendron trees. Slowly, a white gothic style castle dominates the sky line and you're warmly greeted by Amelia, the manager and Luke the groundskeeper - two of the loveliest people, who no request was too much bother for. Entering the double doors of Bolfracks, the standard of renovation undertaken by the current owners, Davide and Ivana, very quickly becomes apparent. It is a masterpiece of antique complimented by modern finishes. Your eyes will continually span as you seek to take everything in. It is breathtakingly stunning, a theme which continues throughout the house. My family and I adored exploring the house - 3 days really wasn't enough to appreciate the space and tranquility of the house and gardens. The gardens in themselves were spectacular, with Luke explaining that they are hope to re-wild some of the land and things will look quite different in the future. Whatever he has planned, we are sure it'll be wonderful. We also managed to use the gardens to the sides of the house to enjoy some organised games; which included axe throwing, velcro football, giant jenga and a bouncy castle - great fun for a range of ages. The possibilities are endless really! We employed a private chef for dinner one evening, alongside butlers who provided a cocktail masterclass - the two businesses worked alongside each other seamlessly and found the house easy to work in. If you are thinking of staying in Scotland, you really should consider Bolfracks, for a taste of luxury with guaranteed privacy and relaxation. We are counting down the days until we can stay once again, it has stolen a piece of our hearts and allowed us to create lifelong memories.
A little gem of a garden. Lots of lovely little paths leading to secret corners with the most amazing views. If you are looking for immaculate lawns this is not for you but if you want a relaxing, romantic stroll with some amazing scents I would recommend. It is steep so not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs. There is an honesty box and visitors book as you enter. Dogs are welcome!
Beautiful, peaceful, perfect. So many trees from all over the world. So many flowers... I would suggest to pack a picnic bag and a blanket before entering (entrance fee is 5 pounds), you will have a great experience. Of course, take your trash with you, respect the nature. There are no trash bins there. We were lucky to have a beautiful sunny and the longest day of the year there- the summer solstice day. So I got to make my own wild flower crown, what a beautiful day to remember this beautiful culture! There was only 1 visitor besides us.. it felt like being in a fairytale- the fragrance of all the flowers makes the air intoxicating.
I visited this wonderful garden today for the first time. Lots of colour and the whole garden is obviously being very well maintained. Certain areas are on a slope but this provides fantastic views of the mountains. I look forward to visiting again soon. Many thanks for all your efforts. Lynda W
Beautiful and impressive Gardens between Aberfeldy and Kenmore. It is a largely sloped garden, so may be inaccessible for some. The design is varied with several ornate seats, a pond and other interesting finds around the many hedges and corners. I went on a Sunny day and was there a good hour, and would love to go again. Peaceful with fantastic views across Strathtay. Please note to access walk across the front of the House, to a summer house. You pay in the Summer House and will need to have the exact money for the Honesty Box. Several ornate mirrors / clocks on local wood are available to purchase as well in the Summer House. Currently £5 per adult, children under 16 are free. Prams are not advisable, even the lightweight Sport type will struggle. Remember to take your own refreshments!
It's 5 stars if you love gardens and want to be left free to wander. Huge variety of flora and fauna. However much of it is quite steep and it's not wheelchair friendly. However if you're able bodied it's well worth a visit
Quiet, peaceful garden with excellent views. There is an impressive variety of plants here and a lot of intimate garden nooks perfect for picnics. The more elevated portions of the garden provide beautiful views of the Tay River valley, and Castle Menzies is visible away to the northeast.
An amazing well maintained enchanted secret garden with meandering pathways leading you into pockets of mini secret gardens. Magical bright explosions of colours blooms through all borders. Love the opportunity to buy plants grown in from the gardens too. Will definately visit again in another season.

Fantastic wee gallery of awesome unique metal art. Really cool and interesting pieces made from everyday items. Great fun trying to identify what each artwork is made from. Lots of different subjects and sizes for every taste. Both indoor and outdoor sculptures. Parking is easy and everyone is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend a visit.
Fantastic visit and chat with the owners. Very friendly and welcoming. Amazing sculptures. We bought a double thistle garden sculpture and "Norman" the Dachshund. Will add photos when they are home. Recommend you visit. 👍
We called in today and thoroughly enjoyed our visit , they have some beautiful works of art in the gallery and were very friendly and helpful . My friends bought a fish sculpture .
Been here several times, on this occasion purchased a magnificent bird sculpture for our Spa Garden. Every angle you look at it gives a different perspective. Made by Heather so thank you, it is unique.
This place is brilliant, the owners are so friendly & welcoming. Whilst staying nearby we visited and within minutes they had supplied us with a piece of bespoke artwork after discussing are requirments with them. Can't wait to get it home & installed. Thank you.
Lovely chats with the artists and gave me tpp tip for beautiful local walk. Lived their artwork.
What a lovely place this was,not too far from kenmore its worth calling in just to see what these people can do with metal.Free to look and you can buy some of the lovely sculptures they have done out of everything you can think of.I saw a mouse out of metal for just 10pds,up to this big golden eagle.

Before visiting a place, I would recommend reading about its history, otherwise it's just another house/palace/bridge/monument. This one is beautiful. The history behind it is very interesting. What I found really interesting is that it was built before Aberfeldy, and by an Englishman.
Lovely Piece of History in a quiet and stunning location, Built in 1733 and 291 years later it's still in use by modern Vehicles. Great path along the river to get a view of bridge from below.
General Wade's Bridge is quite the architectural feat when you consider when it was constructed. The river is fast flowing so the shape of the bridge takes that into consideration. It's well worth a visit if you're in the area. Go down onto the path by the river, rather than admiring it from the road.
Aberfeldy is a lovely place to visit. Nice walks and lots to see and do. When we visited, they had the agricultural show and highland games. A great place for all the family.
Lovely old bridge, nice peaceful area by the river
Great place spectacular views and a real monument to yesteryear engineers, love the place and will be back
A picturesque stone bridge that played its part in Scottish military history. Wonderful views of the river, forest and Perthshire hills from both sides of the bridge. You need to stay alert though when walking across it. It's a fairly busy road bridge with no footpaths but there are little recesses in the parapets where you can step out of the way of oncoming traffic.
Picturesque location over the Tay. Great spot for photos or for foot traffic over to the Menzies Castle side of the river for nice photos back towards Aberfeldy. Nearby is the excellent community-run putting green...ideal for the family!

Really nice views, steep walk. Didn't know it was there until a signpost on our walk from Kenmore to Acharn. Was 1/2 a mile out of the way but worth it
Acharn Stone Circle, Northern lights over Tay Valley, I light painted the stone circle with my iPhone.
Don't expect anything particular impressive, in fact calling it a 'circle' is being rather generous. If the weather is good, it's certainly worth the 1 mile round trip detour from the Rob Roy trail for the excellent view. The stones make a convenient seat to enjoy a snack, surrounded by curious sheep.
It's a circle of stones
Great little hike when combined with the Falls of Acharn.
Well worth the walk to reach this magical and peaceful place. Had our pack up here....lovely

A nice uphill trek for any monty python fan. I painted a rock and added it to the collection of rabbits and other items. If you take the rock please email me and let me know where it ends up. It's in a sheep field and it's a pretty steep uphill. One lane road so use caution and park in the small cut out at the gate. Oh and don't forget to RUN AWAY!!!
This is a fantastic spot to visit for Monty Python fans. There is a small place to park one car. Hike up along the fence in the right-hand field. You can bring your own bunny, but there were plenty already there along with a couple of holy hand grenades!
Must see if you are a fan of Monty Python and the Holy Grail. It isn’t easy to get to as it is out of the way and the road in is wide enough for a single car. There are regular turn outs to allow passing cars coming the other way - if you meet any. You will need to hike up the hill from the gate by the road. The sheep are friendly. The Caerbannog has a lot of family in the cave.
Huge Monty Python and the Holy Grail fans. The GPS lead us directly to it. It was nice to see and picture how they shot the movie. The drive is as narrow as the other posts suggest. The climb is not too bad but you need to be well footed and not mind stepping on sheep droppings. There is a rabbit there but we brought our own.
Follow. But! Follow only if ye be men of valor! For the entrance to this cave is guarded by a creature so foul, so cruel, that no man yet has fought with it... and lived! BONES of full fifty men lie *strewn* about its lair! So! Brave knights! If you do doubt your courage or your strength, come no further, for death awaits you all with nasty, big, pointy teeth...
What a great place to visit on the banks of loch tay, with great views over the loch , caves are great to explore, Just one thing watch out for the wee white Rabbit, it is truly fierce 🐰
If you're a fan of Monty pythons the Holy Grail here is the Caerbannog where the beast still meanders.... Beware!!! Once you see the bunny on fence head up the right side of the fence and after a short climb you'll see a gang of fluff
Short but steep walk up to the mine entrance which is unchanged from the pics posted. Fabulous view up the Loch to Killin. We were even entertained by a transport plane flying low over the Loch towards Kenmore!

We arrived late in the afternoon, however luckily the Deli was still open to be able to purchase some essentials, including ingredients to make dinner for the first night. Becky gave us a warm welcome, and ask what we needed. I said that we would like to make macaroni cheese so with a beautiful enthusiasm she set out to find us ingredients from the Deli - St. Andrew's cheddar cheese, pea protein pasta, chorizo from the charcuterie counter, milk and even a little tub of fresh garlic from the chef of the Bistro. Nothing was too much trouble and it was an absolute joy to experience Becky's vast array of knowledge. I had mentioned to Becky in passing that it was my husband's 50th birthday, and within minutes of us being in the cottage she was at the door with a parcel of local ales, prosecco and a birthday card signed from all at Errichel. This was very special and a beautiful, kind touch. The grounds were like something from a fairy tale from the gaggle of geese welcoming us on the drive, to the ducks in the pond and the peacocks displaying their trains on the balcony of the cottage we were staying in. It really was quite magical and surreal. We stayed in Taigh Na Faire which was extremely comfortable for a family of five and could have accommodated many more. The living areas especially were impressively spacious and are youngest thoroughly enjoyed the toy box and space to explore. On the first morning we enjoyed allegedly breakfast in the Bistro, looking out onto the beautiful landscape and watching the birds feed and the rabbits playing in their enclosure. With all of the detail that's the owners have included along with the added bonus of the deli and bistro, plus only being a short car journey from the Birks O' Aberfeldy, Aberfeldy town itself, Weem, Kenmore and Pitlochry, it is a true gem to have found and we most certainly shall be back. Thank you Becky for making our stay just absolutely superb. ⭐
I wanted to book the cheese tasting as a gift, however due to a pregnant person in the group I wanted to check the suitabiltiy, I emailed them for a assistance, phoned multiple times and left a voicemail asking for a call back, didnt hear anything back. Decided to book online anyway and just add a note, dates were showing available however booking failed twice, phoned them for help and the person was pretty curt saying nothing available anymore. I was about to ask to change it to the charcuterie but decided against it due to the call. Pretty dissappinting service and would put me off trying to book again.
We booked the Scottish cheese tasting paired with three wines on the farm. Our host, Becky, couldn’t have been more gracious. I completely messed up our tasting time so we arrived almost an hour late. Becky brushed it aside and sat us down with our cheeses and wine and explained what they were and where they all came from. She left us to nibble on our samples and sip our wines then came back for our questions! We had a lovely wander around the grounds admiring the beautifully kept gardens. It was a most delightful afternoon!
Lovely location. Lots of interesting animals from peacocks and guess to rabbits and cows
We came for dinner randomly and we will come back to stay! It was a beautiful location, so fun to see geese and ducks running around out the window while we ate. Love the decor and the food was fantastic! We were so happy with everything we ordered - if you love food and different flavors, this is your place! Great staff and lovely setting! We will be back soon!
Didn't stay here, visited the deli. Really, really impressed. Old style deli meets modern food passion. The retail area reminded me of the first deli I encountered several decades ago - not the most choice in the world but oozing quality. Can't praise the service enough... Like having a personal shopping assistant guiding us to the correct purchase for us. If you are passing, keep an open mind and stop by. Try the flavoured oils and the salamis. Didn't try the café as on a tight schedule, which we regret.
My husband and I stayed here for part of our honeymoon in June of 2019. This place has so much charm. We loved the grounds, especially being able to sit on the picnic table outside and look out at the horses. Our room had a great view and was very well kept! There were plenty of modern amenities within the room. Breakfast each morning was freshly cooked to order and was simply amazing. The bacon was to die for! We dined in the restaurant for dinner one night and found the food and atmosphere to both be delightful. I would recommend this place for any trip.
We recently rented both cottages and some rooms for a family birthday celebration and our time there couldn't have been any better! From the impressive spacious cottages, which were incredibly well furnished to the lovely hotel rooms and beautiful restaurant where our whole family enjoyed a delicious celebration dinner, our stay there was delightful! The staff couldn't have been more helpful and went above and beyond to ensure our family celebration was a huge success. Thanks to Becky, Paul, and the entire staff for making this such a memorable visit. I know we'll be back!
