Amazing beach with golden sand everywhere and spectacular water. Great place to hang out with friends, play volleyball and people-watch.
An incredible white sand beach, more like a huge sand dune on the sea. Parking is free, but get there early as soon fills up and creates long queues. I have given 4 stars as not many places to eat along the beach. What there is was good, but may get very busy in high season
I’ve seen few of similar beaches, this is my top 3 most spectacular for different reasons - clifs, size, waves.
the beach view is superb.the nights are cold you need to wear heavy clothes night time is so romantic and calm.its very quiet in the evening and good for family picnics
lagoon going 3-4km inside beeing excelent choise in case of wind or worse weather - just enter deep er inside the country and still possible to enjoy sea and sand and relax atmosphere. place to stay with family for sure
Magnificent and photogenic! There is a large caravan park nearby. The sandy beach yields a generous catch for those who are keen to hunt for shell fish. Also popular with local fishing enthusiasts.
Nice beach, we visited the week before the summer season June 6 2022. Imagine parking could be a problem in peak season. The waves are wild!
Breathtaking!! Will make you understand why they call it the Silver Coast as you watch the sky play with the coastline and sea.

Beautiful park! It feels so abundantly natural and organic! Unfortunately we no longer make parks this way which is unfortunate, but it’s why we have to cherish the most the ones that are like this! It felt so peaceful, sitting and look over the lake. Also has one of the most interesting buildings I have seen, but unfortunately as a lot of others in Portugal it’s abandoned and in a bad shape…
Nice place to walk, enjoy the nature and beautiful lake with birds, two couples of swans 🦢 and peacock 🦚
My friend told me that every month of August there's an event at this park. More foods and items to buy and in the late afternoon there's a band that you can enjoy while eating sandwiches etc. You can bring your pets and there is also a playground for children.
A great place for a walk or a picnic. They have a beautiful garden full of birds and flowers. There is also small row boats for hire which give you a great view of the park.
Parque Dom Carlos is filled with giant old trees that keep it cool in the summer. The lake offers plenty of bird watching and relaxation time. There's a museum and 2 restaurants, plus who can resist the peacocks. With plenty of walking paths, you can get your exercise while stopping to smell the roses in the rose garden. During the summer, into the Christmas holiday loads of events both free and paid for the family. Concerts, festivals, food, and fun. It's a wonderful place for people watching or just relaxing, a beautiful edition to the town.
Stunning park! This is an absolute must visit when it comes to having a picnic or even feeding all the animals some bread! It was a really fun experience that left me happy at the end of the day.
Nice park, could use some maintance. Has some facilities and cafe’s.
A lovely green park that is home to a monthly flea market on the second Sunday of each month. Serene and cooling, with benches under the shady foliage of the old trees and views of the waterscape. A nice break from the daily hustle and bustle and the heat of the day. A playground keeps the kiddos occupied and happy. Nice!

This charming museum in Caldas da Rainha invites you to immerse yourself in the beauty of Portuguese art, highlighting the remarkable contributions of José Malhoa and Columbano Bordalo Pinheiro. Malhoa, a prominent figure in Portuguese Naturalism, is renowned for captivating works like “The Drunks” and “Fado,” which bring to life vibrant scenes and subjects. Columbano Bordalo Pinheiro, Malhoa's contemporary, excelled in Realist portraiture, brilliantly capturing the essence of Portuguese society during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Furthermore, the museum's collection gracefully extends into the enchanting D. Carlos I Park, making for an inspiring visit.
This is the first Portuguese building that was built with the purpose to be a museum. It has an exquisite collection of art, mainly paintings.
This museum was quite an unexpected positive surprise. Some very nice paintings, terracota sculptures and other pieces of art from the 19th and 20th Century. There’s José Malhoa, Bordalo Pinheiro, Abel Manta, and several other artists and it is well worth a visit. Free entry if you are a resident in Portugal with tax number.
A lovely little gallery well worth an hour to visit. It's offers a great insight into Portuguese art at the turn of the 20th century, particularly Naturalism, the work of Malhoa and his contemporaries. Also take time to wonder around the surrounding park which is dotted with sculptures.
The building is located in a beautiful park called Park D. Carlos I in Caldas da Rainha. It presents the largest nucleus of works by the painter José Malhoa and an important collection of paintings and sculptures from the 19th and 20th centuries. The staff are really friendly. Opening hours from 10am to 12:30am and 2pm to 6pm. Entrance is 3,00 €, 50% discount for students, youth cardholders and senior visitors. Free on Sundays before 14 for residents in Portugal.
Beautiful paintings, sculpture represents scenes from the New Testament and other pieces of sculpture are amazing! Great with kids
It is a great place to meet the 19th and early 20th century art. I really enjoy take photos in this museum.
A great museum to further your knowledge and understanding of Portuguese art. Some really excellent works of art.

Beautiful museum extremely well preserved. The history of the tradition of ceramics in this city is well documented and the pieces exposed are incredible. The house itself, a former palace, is a gem, with beautiful gardens. Really worth to visit when in town.
We decided to visit this little museum on a whim because it was raining one day. We were pleasantly surprised by the collection. Housed in a historical manor, and surrounded by garden. Worth the visit if you’re in the area!
The museum itself is beautiful, with a lovely garden. The ceramics shown are interesting and will learn you more about Portugal. The guide I met had a lot of knowledge and passion!
It was okay, nothing to write home about. An old house filled with old tiles and pottery. No information about processes or history. I was amazed by this item though. It said it was a candle holder. But my attention was captured by the amazing amount of detail in the tiny figures. Absolutely fascinating.
Manor house with three floors, displaying old and modern, decorative and functional, ceramic pieces and some decorative glass items, as well as tiled walls and fireplaces. Note also the gargoyles on the building façade. Low admission fee. Lovely, treed grounds.
This was a really fun way to explore the rich history of ceramics! The museum opens at 2pm and costs 6-8 euros but it has 3 levels of amazing pieces
Price: 3 EUR Time spent: 40 min Parking: not available 3 floors Museum located in old palace.

Brilliant Host, Very helpful and welcoming for experience and novices, lovely little track with good turns. Excellent experience
super friendly and passionate guy, we had a lot of fun! the track was perfect for fast laps with 3 cars
Karting here is perfect for kids and full of fun! The staff and owner are extremely friendly and welcoming. I went with my nephew (14) and niece (21) and we all had a fantastic time. Highly recommended for a great day out!
Fantastic experience for me and my two sons. We had the place to ourselves. I’d recommend booking to ensue you also have exclusive use. The owner is super friendly. The price is very reasonable. The karts are plenty fast enough for the track which is small but fun with lots of hairpin bends.
Amazing experience with Peter. Such a wonderful person, guided my son and daughter to overcome their fear and made it their best 1st time experiencing go karting. We will definitely visit again. Highly recommend! Thank you Peter.
We were the only ones there which was perfect for us (beginners). So we had a nice experience of two laps of karting. The owner was very friendly and could speak English well!

Very interesting exhibition of Portuguese military bikes and road cycling history. Free entry. Very helpful and friendly lady accompanied us and explained many points in English for us. Highlight of the day. 👍
Not very interesting, unless you're into the history of Portuguese road bike racing from the '70's and '80's. Museum has only two floors, and the 1st (ground floor) is full of old movie projectors and movie posters. The second floor has the bicycle stuff, but most of it is road racing stuff about Porruguese riders. Cool if that's your thing, but we found it to be less than exciting...
Very nice experience and well explained by a competent lady. Highlights of cycling in Portugal over the last 125 years. We got to know about the great sportsmen, their outfit and their success. But do not miss the exhibition of the history of cinema! The entry is free of charge 🤗
Super cool museum with great displays and very local feeling. If you love bicycling, this is for you. Other cool memorabilia too. The tour was fun and the folks welcoming you in are so nice! Thank you for a great experience. Keep up the good work.
Very nice staff! They told us about the museum and helped us know about the town. Interesting to learn a little bit about history of cycling in Portugal and the cinema. There was no charge for admission. They’re closed for siesta so check the time
Pretty much the only interesting thing about Caldas aside from the Sunday market at Praça da Fruta. That being said, this museum is very specific: its focus is on early Portuguese Army bicycle brigades and the history of road cycling in Portugal. Everything is in Portuguese so I unfortunately can't say I learned anything (but I would've liked to). Definitely some neat relics on display, but hardly comprehensive in terms of cycling history. Also, the entire first floor was devoted to an exhibit on Portuguese cinema (also only in Portuguese) so the actual cycling portion takes 45 minutes or less to see.
Very comprehensive collection of Portuguese cycling memorabilia. Also features lots of movie memorabilia. Very well displayed and super helpful staff.
A wonderful place. I visit every time I’m in Portugal. It’s the only way I can see my grandfather, the great cyclist Joao Gomes. Miss you meu Avo.

Nice place to visit, specially this street that leads to outdoor market. I recommend it. FREE Live music (Fado), nide atmosphere.
I didn't like the shopping center! There used to be a children's Zara, they removed it... the food courts on the third floor are empty... nothing new has appeared in this shopping center in 3 years, it's only getting worse, it would be better if they opened new stores that are really needed in this shopping center
Cool place, everything is there what you want.. Sports, restaurants, cinema, clothing market, books shop.. Perfect
Very nice food court. Big surprise and even found there brasilian buffet with fresh grilled meat. Fantastic experience for cca 15 euro all in.
Nice city mall!!! Has many stores and a interesting food court!!! And rideable robots for kids.
Got some new shoes there so I cannot complain. Grocery store is all the way at the bottom. From what I saw there is a parking garage available.
3 story shopping center downtown with a parking including carwash service. Top floor is mainly a food court.
The parking garage is confusing/opaque, the elevators are unreliable, moving erratically, and there's a long wait time for them.

(Translated by Google) This church, located in Caldas da Rainha, is part of the Thermal Hospital complex, founded by Queen Leonor in 1485. Its origins lie in a chapel dedicated to Our Lady of the People and connected to the hospital to provide spiritual support to the sick. The church dates back to 1500 and its pre-Manueline design was designed by Mestre Mateus Fernandes, who was one of the architects of the Batalha Monastery. The nave of the church is particularly noteworthy, as it is covered in beautiful 17th century tile panels. The bell tower is topped by two sculptures representing the Archangel Gabriel and Our Lady of the Annunciation. It is classified as a National Monument.
(Translated by Google) Completed in the early 16th century, this church was designed to provide spiritual support to the patients of the hospital with which it was connected. Built in Manueline style, the church was recently restored. The highlight of the exterior is the quadrangular bell tower, topped by 4 clocks on each side, with the coat of arms of Portugal on the east side and 16th-century sculptures on the west side. The gargoyles are also very interesting. The interior of the church is usually closed, and it was only possible to enter at the time of the celebration of mass, at 9:00, and it was not possible to properly admire its tiled interior. (Original) De construção concluída no início do séc. XVI, esta igreja teve como objetivo o dar apoio espiritual aos doentes do hospital com o qual comunicava. We had the opportunity to attend a weekday mass in this charming church, located almost on the seafront—a serene and inspiring setting that invites reflection and inner peace. The church's interior is beautifully decorated with traditional Portuguese tiles, which tell stories and add a unique artistic and cultural touch to the sacred space. The service was welcoming and intimate, perfect for those seeking a moment of spirituality away from the tourist crowds. Undoubtedly, a place worth visiting for both its beauty and the tranquil atmosphere it exudes. (Original) Uma experiência verdadeiramente especial! It was our first time at the thermal baths and the experience was amazing. Walking through the hospital was going back in time, the building carries so much history. The staff was welcoming and caring, explaining everything with gentleness. And the massage under the water was heavenly 💜💜💜
Absolutely stunning place. Looks like something out of a movie. Pity is abandoned and vandalized. It would be a stunning hotel.
I’ve been coming here for a few years and I find the spa services amazing and fairly affordable. This year there is a lack of attentiveness in the after spa lounge. They have removed the teas and hot water. Although they still provide regular water, the container was not sanitary and not cleaned properly. Very disappointed in the decline of relaxing attributes that room provided to clients.
It’s a pity I have to give only 2 stars to this location. The building is very beautiful from a distance, however, it’s is almost completely destroyed. The park outside it is poorly taken care of and very dirty. The local municipality should invest in renovation as it has a great potential to getting paying visitors to the city.
Beautiful spot to stroll and romance.
While I did not get to use the facilities as they were completely booked, I found the staff very friendly, welcoming and eager to please. The prices for the services were fair and looking forward to coming back in the future.

This was a really fun way to explore the rich history of ceramics! The museum opens at 2pm and costs 6-8 euros but it has 3 levels of amazing pieces
