One of the best beaches i visited at Chania either sunbdeds, umbrellas, showers and beach restaurants.
We were there September 2025. Beautiful beach, the water is crystal clear. Often it was a red flag because the waves were high, and the wind was strong. The beach - sand, small stones, large stones or boulders the closer you get into the sea. Shallow water would be suitable for families with children but the waves and current can be tricky. There was many people who walk around with scrapes on their arms and legs after a curious approach to water :) There is a lifeguard. Sunbeds can be rented from various restaurants without or with you eating at them. Just a sunbed with a beach umbrella costs 4 €/person.
Wave here is quite strong, the beach is some places more gravely and some place quite sandy, there are bars along the whole beach, quite easy to find a place to have a some drink or food.
Lovely blue water long sand beach . Best for morning sunrise and evening sunset.
A very nice place for my tastes, full of accommodation buildings (villas and hotels) full of facilities and optimal conditions for spending holidays. The golden sand does not give you that blue colour of the sea but the sea is clear, transparent and very suitable for children. A very well organised beach where you can find umbrellas and sunbeds for free if you are a customer in the tavern or with a payment up to 6-8 euros
Beautiful beach, the water is clean and warm. This beach have sunloungers and they can be paid for or you could get food in the restaurant on the beach and then they are “free”. I’d say if you are visiting this beach be careful with people who are selling jewellery. Other than that everything else is great.
Amazing beach with sand that is not so fine that it sticks everywhere. Crystal clear water, beautiful surroundings and restaurants close by. Sand colored fish that swim around your feet, the small ones might bite if you have a wound and stand still, but it's not really hurtful, just surprising. I think they might be doctor fish known from spas.
Amazing beach 10 Euros for two beds and umbrella with two free water bottles Water is shallow and good for kids

Lovely property, friendly staff. Great for a family and only 20 min from the port. Offers private transportation as well. We had a wonderful day at Cabana Mare. Food and drink selection is great as is the service. One of the best parts of our recent trip!
Luxury beach club in the heart of Agia Marina. Nicely maintained pool, variation of seating and top quality food. Don't try and come without a reservation, unlikely to get a spot. Luckily they have an online booking form and they are pretty responsive. I've been coming for a few years now and good to see they have maintained the quality and standard of service.
Really nice spot. We enjoyed our stay a lot. The only minus that the pool is quite small and it was full. But the food and drinks were okay. The service was also good. The DJ and the violin players were fire! 🔥
Would give 5 stars if it was for the pool, beach and sun beds. The service takes two stars away as it is just awful. You first ask for a drink from someone and they can't serve you as they are assistants. Then you wave and wait for anyone else to serve you for 10 min and end up going to the bar to order. But you can't order from the bar! We waited for our fruit platter for 4 people for 45min and heard only after that long of a wait that they could not make platters for 4 people at all. However in the table for the rich people who paid much more for their bed, the massive platters were served. We complained and the manager quickly solved the issue. We got our sushi order quite fast except for one person's order which came 20min after the others. The staff did not seem to handle even the simplest of all requests like an order of a water bottle which demanded 20 min and talking with 4 different staff members. If they fix the service up to normal standards, the place has plenty of potential. The DJ was great and the sunbeds really comfy.
Staff and atmosphere were amazing!!! Food and drinks were delicious!!!! (Sushi is really great) We enjoyed our day of relaxation between our cabana, hot tub, pool, lounge chairs, and beach. The sunset was beautiful. Thanks for a great day!!!
I visited this beach with my cruise tour group. It was a really nice seat up. There was live Dj and there were I believe two pool. But I was there for the beach. The water was crystal clear water and the loungers and umbrella is a must. The staff was really friendly and active too your needs. I try the chicken burger which was really tasty but be aware it says bacon but there bacon is ham. Overall it's a great place.
Absolutely amazing beach bar experience! Cabana Mare is hands down one of the best beach bars in Agia Marina Chaniá . The atmosphere is stylish and relaxed, with elegant sunbeds and crystal-clear waters right in front of you. The service is top-notch — the staff are friendly, professional, and always attentive without being intrusive. The menu is excellent, offering everything from fresh juices and cocktails to delicious food options that suit every taste. Whether you’re here for a chill beach day, a lively afternoon with music, or a sunset cocktail, Cabana Mare delivers every time. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a luxury beach experience in Crete. Can’t wait to come back!😌
Lovely beach bar with nice ambiance and entertainments. Food and drinks very good as well. Desserts were delicious and big!
