Beautiful creek and the shoreline doesn't face Follonica, which would really ruin the view otherwise. I've never been there in high season in the day, only either in low season or/and at the end of the day. It was always rather empty, not so many people. I imagine it can be totally different otherwise, given the reputation of the next creek Cala Violina.
2km into a nice forest walking from the parking and a little 2 minute downhill to reach a very quiet and nice beach (no sand btw)
Pure nature beach..no sand, very big stones. If you like nature and just with 10 people - that’s the place. If you want to go into the water and swim without having troubles with big stones, don’t come here. 4* because of nature, 5* would have been a „wow“.
The trail there is nice but the beach itself isn't worth the effort. Entrance is covered with slippery stones so with even small waves it takes a lot of effort to go to the sea. Water is pretty dirty with seaweed
It is nice. There was only one person there who was not with us and he was soon gone. The shore has stones and it easy windy and the water had waves. Therefore it was not clean. We still had a good swimming. Actually, we were looking for caia violina, which is near there. We found it the next day. That is worth a visit...
Quiet, great views towards Elba and beyond
Incredible beach, not easy to reach but it’s worth it!
Beautiful beach with crystal clear water. Highly recommended

I loved this beach. It's deep in nature and has a great vibe. The water and sand were clean when we visited. There are a couple of spots to get food and prices were pretty democratic compared to some other places. You can use your water sports equipment life Windsurf or wing foil. There was also a small rental spot for windsurfing. Behind the beach are mostly camps. In June it was not too crowded and it's obviously free.
Free Beach, not overcrowded cristal clear water you can see up to 2 meters inside water . Suited for families with kids you can walk easily up to 100-150 meters and water is just 1.5m tall. Best experience I ever had. 100 times better then cala violina . There is 1.5 km walking from car park but same is at cala violina where is not free and is overpriced, overcrowded and the water is not so clean/ clear.
Beautiful beach, the walk and the wade through the river is worth it. No toilet nor service whatsoever, bring your own stuff. It’s a 4 out of 5, just because you can find seaweed sometimes. Other than that, it’s a nice spot in the very crowded Tuscany of August.
Totally free beach, no service though, be advised, bring food and drink for your stay. In my opinion probably a better choice than the over hyped and over crowded Cala Violina (that also requieres booking up front, which can only be done 3 days ahead and places are going fast). We went here early August, peak season, but still was not crowded. Sandy beach, shallow water, relatively clear, stunning view. Probably the best option is to park at Parcheggio a pagamento cala civette (the other parking area shown on Google Maps does not exists anymore). Price was 0.50 eur / hour in 2023, have to pay at parking meter up front, which accepts credit card. From here follow main road towards Punta Ale for approx 500m then take a right turn and follow signs for Cala Violina (sic!), Cala Civette is not really advertised, but path passes by the northern end of Civette (where you can see the one and only sign for Civette), hard to miss it. Actually Google Maps shows this route properly, can rely on it. From reviews I've read there is an alternative approach from the south, somewhere from the big camping at Punta Ale, which crosses the river as well, I would not recommend that as it's hard to enter the beach from south due to cliffs and rocks. This path from the north took us a good 40 mins with 3 small kids, so probably doable in half an hour for adults. The path was not difficult, I personally went in slippers, but probably shoes are a better option.
Nice beach, follow the track between the campingsite and the river. Cross the river when you reach the ocean. Walk in the shallow water to the beach.
Very beautiful beach with few people (because there is no road access). The beach is natural and the water clear. The pine forrest behind the beach is sadly private property and should not be accessed. There are a few trees that give shadow which you are allowed to go to.
Very fine sand, very clear and shallow water but too many people!

Had a great experience with these guys taking wing foil lessons. Antonio is very responsive when you are contacting for info. Frederico is a great instructor and got me started very quickly. The instruction board en wings are new and of good quality brands and lesson prices are very reasonable. Besides that, the bay is ideal for starters of any watersport as it is very shallow. Also the school has a nice bar for a relaxing drink afterwards. In all a recommendable place for watersport. Go check them out.
Thank you Federico & Marty for the awesome experience at SurfRelax. Friendly people and great instructing for windsurf! I was on the water riding with the wind sooner than expected thanks to Fede! The school is run by cool people with great vibes.
What bliss to lie under the shade of a bright beach umbrella, caressed by a warm sea breeze, while watching the colourful kitesurfs dancing above the horizon. On the Tuscan Coast, the Puntone Beach Surf Relax was the perfect place to be today with my husband and my furry dog Wendy! We had a long walk on the sandy beach in the morning, then played beach tennis paddle in the warm shallow waters, and then my husband went out further into the sea for a refreshing swim - while I went back to my loungechair and my Audiobook!
Be aware we were robbed on this beach whilst relaxing. Do not be lulled into a force sense of security. Someone stole our belongings and the police were not interested. We will be writing to the British Embassy and to the BBC broadcasters. Do not let your money bank cards or property out of your sight. We are talking about this beach. Beware.
We sat on the sunbed hoping someone will come over and take a charge from us. Instead lady from the bar came and told us everything is booked and we need to leave and we should have asked before. When I asked if she has anything available, she said no. The same thing happened to my friends sitting next to us, but all of sudden she told them that there's available place. She wasn't very nice... Edit: our family took just one umbrella and two sunbeds in the first row...
Perfect wind & sea spot. Passionate teachers. Our kids have made big-jump progress this year, and we are definitely coming back next year. It has been 3 years we have been trying and searching for a spot and school to get our 3x boys (now 8y, 10y, 12y) started with windsurfing on the sea. We believe we have found the perfect place at Puntone Beach. The place is offering day-to-day consistent wind and sea conditions. Most importantly, Puntone Beach has passionate and professional teachers. Just in 5 days our boys were able to windsurf out there in the open sea under close, professional, and comforting (for us as parents sitting on the beach) supervision of Puntone Beach teachers. Great job Puntone Beach and see you next summer!
Very nice place, a perfect surfinsructor(Emanuele of course and also Ida), really recommendable if you are not looking for top material but a small, private and professional surf school.
One of the most nice Kiteschools I have ever seen! So much fun and awesome teacher too! Drinks, Vibe, People are just awesome❤️ Shallow water, small nice waves...f....... perfect to lern kitesurfing🤙🥳❤️

Church

(Translated by Google) The church was rebuilt starting from 1759 on a pre-existing fourteenth-century structure. Further consolidation interventions then became necessary in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building has a gabled façade. The interior has a single nave with two side altars in plaster and stucco. On the left altar, within a nineteenth-century wooden machine, a contemporary image of the Madonna and Child with angels is displayed. Also noteworthy is the detached sixteenth-century fresco representing the Madonna and Child in glory with Saint Michael the Archangel and Saint Andrew the Apostle. An important survival of the fourteenth-century building is the bell with the date 1340.

The young archaeologist is very good, describing with passion a difficult but certainly not without satisfaction job: finding fragments, or even still intact objects, after centuries of being at the mercy of waves, tides and storms. It's a small museum. Do not expect to much. But for 3 Euro it's great for kids and all those who do not like museums much. Unfortunately the video is out of order and this since June 2021 at least. Disappointing.

In conjunction with a large car park, cycle path and bus stop, it also offers a picnic area with tables and do-it-yourself bicycle repair stations. The external signage of the geopark is beautiful and would need to be permanently fenced and monitored. I suggest installing a water fountain outside the museum. Great for bambini, lots of shallows and the awesome little playground made by nonno Franko.
