Very nice beach. Parking might be an issue, but there's some coffee shops for food and drinks. The sand is clean and golden, the sea water is a bit wavy, but very small waves, makes it very fun and appealing, the water was warm. The view is amazing. To return
If you come to Búzios, this is one of the beaches you might want to visit. It is long, windy and has fine hot sand, where hurrying your feet feels nice. There is a serving shack, somewhat expensive but buying a couple beers will grant you access to the beach chairs and umbrellas.
If you are going to visit Buzios, this is the beach I recommend staying at, particularly if you rent a house (which is what we did). The surf can be a bit rough for very small kids, but some of the best waves for surfing/boogie boarding I have seen anywhere in the Atlantic Ocean. The beach itself is reasonably wide and not overly crowded. There are bars at one end for food.
wide beach plenty of space that allows to play ball, racket, etc.. without bothering anyone... it has different areas with stronger waves with some light surf combined with other areas more quiet where kids can play safely... the free space also allows to avoid the umbrella rent, something very difficult in other beach here at buzios. prices are lower too and since it bigger it has a very good variety for food and snacks... the nad part of the story... in theory Brazil laws prohibit to be charged for umbrella but this is something not being checked, therefore people at the beach charges what they want, even for undefined services or for using the umbrella and not consuming a minimum amount
Really nice place. Good for people that enjoy playing in the waves, but in the safety of the shallow ocean at the same time. Also you can easily swim further than the waves breaking and enjoy a calmer area. It can be quite windy. Large sand strand, really good to practice sports. Beautiful sunset can be watched there. And it is kinda cute how the beach is "hidden" with the little alley entrances. The only problem I experienced was people burying (very badly, IF they do it) the poop of their dogs. Definately not a place to let your kid dig up the sand and build castles with it...
Geriba Beach is one of those places that leave you in awe before the blessed, magnificent natural beauty. If you want to savor a state of amazement, go there.
Beautiful beach, great view. But very expensive.
The most beautiful beach. Took long walks in the morning while staying here on vacation.

I can't express how amazing our 3 day stay was here. Rooms, staff, food, view, beach, breakfast, ambience.... all, exceptional! Will definitely stay here on my next visit to Buzios this fall.
We had an amazing time staying at Pousada Praia Joao Fernandes. The view from our room was amazing, as was the view from the restaurant and reception. The staff was very accommodating and friendly, especially Flor, Stephanie, and Cinthia. They were able to answer any questions we had. You can not beat the location. We were just 2 minutes from one of our favorite beaches. Every morning, we enjoyed a lovely breakfast provided at reception and enjoy a morning swim down at the beach. We will definitely be returning for another stay!
Very well located almost beach front. Breakfast was outstanding. The infrastructure needs to be taken care of, not everything works
Perfect location, rooms were amazing, the staff were phenomenal! The restaurant food and the continental breakfast were delicious! I would absolutely go back!
Away from the riff raff. Great breakfast and close to the beaches.
Friendly staff, beautiful location, rooms . Not one complaint

Beautiful place!!!!absolutely amazing!!!! Gorgeous walk around at evening. All city is beautiful anyway, just incredible Brazil got this type of things!!!:) I am impressed..
Cool spot but maybe overrated a bit?! Nice spot and a lot of cute restaurants around but not sure the statue is that much of a deal. I’d suggest adding a little bit of a plaque with an explanation so it doesn’t go completely unnoticed!
Great place, great food and shopping too. Clean beaches, plenty variety hotels and restaurants along d coastline. Variety shopping options and many things to do. Water activities like taxi boat, jet skis and snorkling available at some places.
Lovely statue for selfies and in a beautiful beach location with lots of tourists.
This place is like a peace of heaven, mountains, water and too good restaurants. Loved it.
The statue itself is a fun spot for a photo op, but it's the town and the art all over it that will really charm you. There are fabulous sculptures everywhere, even in the sea. We feel lucky to have made this stop in Buzios as we'd never heard of it before.

Beautiful calm beach. To access you need to walk on cobblestones downhill. I suggest going past the quiosques that are already set up to the open beach space to the far left from the entrance. Bring your own chairs and sun umbrellas and enjoy a much more pleasant experience away from the sellers. Also the food at the quiosques is generally prepared boxes that get heated slightly before served to you for 100 brl. Not worth the meal and seats in a crowded thin beach. I've seen people leave half the food uneaten in the quiosque box because it's not very good. You can also take a boat taxi to get here but be prepared to get wet disembarking.
Beautifully beach, but there are not turtles anymore. 🧓
Nice beach. Parking might be an issue, but there's some coffee shops for food and drinks. The sand was a bit dirty, the sea water has minimal waves, not cold. The view is amazing.
Cute little beach. Vendors are fairly aggressive and there isn’t a ton a “beach real estate” (as opposed to Cabo Frio’s beaches). Nonetheless, very pleasant especially if you walk out to the left where they are fewer people. There is also a public bathroom on the way out which comes in very handy if you want to rinse your feet before getting into your Uber (there is parking as you come in. 10 BRL as of August 2024).
Another great beach in Buzios. On the day of my visit it wasn't busy or overcrowded. We've met a nice lady that offered us umbrellas and the service she gave was excellent. The fish we ordered from her was superb and caipirinha just hit the spot. Beach itself bit narrow but it didn't bother me much. Really relaxing day in the nice surroundings.
Tartaruga Beach is beautiful however what is disappointing is the rubbish mainly plastic waste on the shoreline. As a tourist I ended up picking up and disposing of balls of fishing wire whilst locals looked on. Beach vendors that take up 1/2 the beach as their cash cow should be required to clean up all waste along the beach daily before business and visitors reminded to dispose of waste correctly.
We walk there what a great hike took the water taxi back loaded Beach with a great bar
Just wonderfull, small , quiet but great in drinks, food, apetizers, from germany, england and argentine cookers .

This is my favorite beach here in Búzios.. it's just surreal💙 I suggest you come in the morning to get the beach all to yourself. It's small and surrounded by rocks.
Cute and beautiful beach
Lovely little beach with amazing rock formations and crystal clear water. Perfect for stand-up paddle and kayak (tbey have kiosks where you can rent equipment)... chairs, parasols, food and drinks also available. Highly recommend!
Decent beach! I like the rock formations where you can rest and meditate on! Watching snorkeling, paddle boats and fishermans.
Awesome beach with breathtaking views, it has basic facilities of parking, showers, toilets, but don't expect too many of them. Just visit for the lovely views and ocean
Very nice and cozy and well protected little beach
Ferradurinha it was a bealtiful place. Has a lot of jelyfish. At this beach have a lot of rocks and it's not the best place to dive. My tip is see around with a boat because you can enjoy more the place
Great place for children. Warning: bring your own beverage/food if you want to avoid robbery. Prices are insane.

Amazing beach! Nice trail for a quick 2 miles hike
Lovely beach. Water isn't as clear as at the other beaches but that's just because the sand is so fine. Great options for kayaking and pedal boats. The view is gorgeous and toilets are actually very clean for.beach toilets. The various stands offer chairs, parasols, fresh fruit drinks, alcohol and food (have the pastel!) The icy cold coconuts are delicious after a swim!
Ferradura Beach was a beautiful beach to visit, parking was good and very relaxing, now the hotels and pousadas have taken over the beach front and it has lost its soul. It has become very expensive and there are far better beaches to visit in Búzios so go here as a last resort.
Love this beach, water is warm and clear!
Very nice beach. Parking might be an issue, but there's some coffee shops for food and drinks. The sand is clean and golden, the sea water is usually calm, minimal waves, not cold. The view is amazing. To return
Ferradura beach was dirty, almost no sand, the water with debris of plastic, the sea was greenish. Good thing: not many waves, ideal for kids
This beach is a calm place, it has public toilet, it has different restaurants and they can serve you on the beach.
It's very crowded, parking is tricky (I'd recommend parking at the little lot at Summer Park 200ft away) with guys trying to get you to pay them for whatever (hard to tell if you don't speak Portuguese). It's really windy, even in the morning and in the cove, and the water is brownish and choppy and cold (they don't call it Cabo Frio for nothing). Did I mention it's crowded? Wall to wall people. We rented a double kayak and paddled around for an hour ($80 reals) then we were done. I'd stick to Amarcao or other nicer beaches.

Very nice beach! Toilets, umbrellas, chairs, food and drinks are available. Packed, but better than other beaches.
Nice beach. Limited facilities. Water temperature around 22/23 degrees so not great.
Very nice beach. Parking might be an issue, but there's some coffee shops for food and drinks. The sand is clean and golden, the sea water is usually calm, minimal waves, not cold. The view is amazing. The main issue is that although is a large beach, becomes very crowded. It does have taxi boat to other beaches.
One of my favourite beaches in the world. It's small and closed off, which is good if you want isolation, but, ironically, can lead to overcrowding. The water is beautiful and the area is simply "picturesque"! Amo tanto!
One of the best beaches in Búzios (in my opinion). Try to go early when there's hardly anyone around. Next to Azeda beach there's also Azedinha beach (small Azeda) which is also nice (when there's less people around).
The beach itself is ok since it’s not that wide and it can get pretty crowded. But the water is amazing, specially if you take a boat ride and enjoy it from a distance.
Beautiful beach with a little natural pool for kids to hang out in but... It's a popular party beach with a boat that is anchored and pumping out discotech beats (even at 9 am!). We were early so we got a spot but within an hour there was barely walking room on the beach and our blankets were touching other people's blankets. Also, the number of people taking selfies is through the roof. I'm all for a good selfie but there were people lined up at certain spots!!! Mind you I went on a weekend, maybe it's a little more mellow during the week.
Incredibly beautiful beach but it's so popular that it gets difficult to find a spot to lay down

Nice beach. Access through the Azeda beach. There's some coffee shops for food and drinks. The sand is a bit dirty, people do not completely respect it, the sea water is usually calm, minimal waves, not cold. The view is amazing. The main issue is that it is a small beach, becomes extremely crowded. People bring their own speakers, it becomes loud.

Fantastic beach, protected clear water and more interesting areas to explore swimming
Nice beach, full of umbrellas, the water is calm and warm. Nice place to relax.
Be aware that Brazil beaches are for the PUBLIC and no one can tell you not to be there. The issue is there are two concession kiosks that occupy te majority of the available sand for you to sit on, hence if you sit on their chairs or use their umbrellas it’s only fair to consume their products. But if you bring your own chairs and umbrellas you have to be there early to save your spot, bring your own food and beverages if you don’t want to pay overpriced food byob. Today we had an argument with the kiosk with the blue umbrellas that insisted we pay for the use of their stuff when we just wanted to sit and enjoy the beach….luckily we had a Brazilian friend with us who set them straight in regards to consumer protection laws that prohibit the exclusion or exclusivity of public lands (law 7601)
Beautiful, narrow coast line. Some seats are free, waitstaff was great. Lots of chairs and umbrellas. Uphill walk from Bardot statue but worth the trek. Scenic views, definitely go. Mix of families, couples and friend groups. Everyone looked under 45.
Great beach with an area quarantined off for scuba diving away from boats, clear waters, kayak rentals, go to the ”barraca do Cuca”
The beach is taken over by the local gang of vendors who place endless amount of chairs and umbrellas no matter how close to you. They are like sharks

Absolutely a must go once in Buzios. A perfect sunset spot with a great variety of bars and restaurants, all excellent!
Nice place to have lunch and watch sunset
Simply stunning! When you arrive at Porto da Barra, it may seem to you like there is nothing there. All you can see at first is a big empty lot for parking and it even makes you wonder whether you got to the right place. But when you venture in, you find a myriad of restaurants and cute stores. The whole complex is very beautiful and exotic looking. At about 5:20PM, the amazing, unique sunset view from the pier just blows your mind.
Such a nice place! There's quite a few options for food, although it's seafood mainly. There's a great place called Casablanca where you can have a special crab meat dish which tastes delicious. The view is gorgeous, specially in the evening, when the sun is just about to be gone. The boats, the small islands and the water reaching the shores make it the perfect scenary. Prices are in between expensive and OK but then again Buzios is not a cheap place to eat.
Breathtaking views with a great selection of restaurants and bars. Perfect place for a romantic night out !!
Very nice place to visit, especially in the late afternoon, to enjoy different bars and restaurants, and one of the best sunsets in Buzios.

This beach is pretty underrated. I was heading to azeda beach but came across Praia dos Ossos and decided to stay there because it was quiet, the water was super clear, and the view of the boats was beautiful. I loved my beach day there, way less crowded than other beaches.
