We visited this place twice during our 2 day visit to buzios! Love the crepes and they have sweet and savory options. We tried the savory options - chicken with catupury and curry chicken crepes and loved them both. Paired it with Amatel beer and it was a filling meal. It has a nice sports bar vibe in the evening where they play football games and other sports events. We stopped by late in the evening to catch a game of football and it was crowded with everyone having a good time. All in all love this place and highly making this part of your food stop when in Buzios.

The crepes were way better than I imagined. Many different options to choose from. The sweat abs salty crepes were both good. Having a dj spin music was a plus. Awesome atmosphere. Felt like playa del carmen. Tons of people, many tvs around there are as well. Plenty of seating.

A cute place, nice atmosphere, but the crepes aren’t to write home about. The portions are generous, service is friendly and they even have an English menu. But… The cheese in bacon crepe is low quality, the “chocolate” in chocolate crepe tastes like chocolate sauce from the supermarket, doesn’t taste like chocolate but cocoa powder mixed with sugar and milk. Nutella wasn’t on the menu unfortunately. I love crepes and was excited when I saw so many reviews. Maybe other fillings would be better

A nice vibe in an open air format, you can sit at the bar or along the street. They have unique options to choose from. I tried the spinach and cheese, worth a try.

We had a sweet crepe with chocolate. The chocolate sauce did not taste homemade "artesanal" as stated in the menu but rather like supermarket chocolate sauce. The batida de coco tasted good but a bit overpriced for 27 RS.

Went there for the good reviews but didn't really like it. I got the sukão burger but felt kinda dry, had to add lots of mayo and bbq sauce to eat it. The drink was too sweet for my taste. I guess it's not for me

A nice Italian restaurant and cosy atmosphere. The staff could be more attentive, because we waited a long time to give us menus and then to get our order too. The appetisers were tasty, especially the burrata with tomatoes and pesto, accompanied by pieces of cheese bread. The main courses were enjoyed by the rest, but the pizza I got was not what I expected and it was not good.

From the moment we walked in, we felt right at home. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, and we were warmly greeted by a sweet older lady who immediately made us feel welcome. I have severe food allergies (gluten and all seafood), and finding a place that can accommodate my needs isn’t always easy but this was an exception. She was incredibly knowledgeable and reassured us about safe options. Our server, Jonathan, was fantastic attentive, friendly, and helpful with great recommendations for everyone in our party. I ordered the chicken Alfredo with gluten-free pasta and a fresh salad both were absolutely delicious. One detail that stood out was that they offered English menus, which made the experience so much easier for us as non-Portuguese speakers. Jonathan went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of, and to top it off, he surprised us with complimentary desserts at the end! It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. I would absolutely recommend Primitivo Búzios to anyone visiting Rio de Janeiro. We'll definitely be back!

The pizza here is outstanding. I’ve lived in New York for over 60 years and this brick ovenPizza was amazing as good if not better than New York! the owner is very friendly as well as crazy fast service and great quality food. We will always come to this restaurant because you can’t get better Italian food. Think about it! Friendly service, fresh food, fast and genuine Italian. Everybody knows that you can wait an hour or more for food but not here. I actually don’t wanna go anywhere else. I’m gonna try everything they have on the menu. Best meal I had in Brazil. Gnocchi w/ Prosciutto was fantastic. Beef over linguine was excellent as well. Came with a surprise dessert. We will be back!!

The best Italian dining experience you'll have in Brazil. There's a reason the Lonely Planet rates this place so highly. Seated and served immediately, quick service from the kitchen even though they were packed out the door. We had: - Burata - filete Al fungi/ Al nonno - gnocchi primitivo -pizza bufala The tomatoes on the pizza bufala were a highlight, as was the gorgonzola risotto and the steak rump. Melt in the mouth. If you're in Búzios you need to try this place. Come early. It's full by 1930. 10/10

Food was good, but some of the servers seem extremely unhappy and sad. Most servers didn’t smile nor talk much, didn’t really acknowledge anyone at the table when bringing food or taking orders. No smiles, no happy faces. Generally in Brazil this constitutes to bad working conditions so I hope the workers/servers find happiness in another role or restaurant soon.

Fabulous restaurant in Buzios. We stopped by for dinner on a Thursday evening and it was relatively empty. We ordered the most raved about dishes - moqueca de camarao (fabulous shrimp curry with coconut milk and veggies) and the chicken stroganhoff (creamy chicken dish). Both the dishes were bursting with flavors. We devoured them both with a plate of rice and fries. Service was fantastic and the server was very friendly and made every attempt to tell us the most authentic way of eating these dishes. Overall we devoured our food here and highly recommend them when in Buzios.

The fried fish dish for two was divine. You get so much for your money, we were definitely satisfied portion and flavor wise. The first was very tasty and flavorful, and plus they gave us dessert on the house. Come hungry and enjoy yourself!

Food was very disappointing. The fish was overcooked and not served as filets - tons of bones. I'm ok with that, but I like to know before ordering. It pretty much ruined a rather expensive meal. Best avoided. The decor was great - a week-executed theme. Unfortunately, you can't eat the decor.

Located on the heart of Búzios downtown area Restaurante Do David (David's Restaurant) is a really good option to enjoy a meal. A little bit salty but really tasty. Portions are quite good, the menu is comprised of very different dishes ranging from meats to fish, lobster and poultry. Will come back!

One of the few restaurants in the area with professional waiters and delicious food. Most establishments in the area are just tourist traps. I am sure that there are others but didn’t find them so decided to go to this one for the rest of our stay. Few waiters are speaking English too so is helpful.

Great value place, for the quality/price of the food, the service of all the staff and the location in front of the cozy port of Armazao. Not a big place, so is recommended to get there early, as it is everyday full of people. As we enjoyed it very much, it is the only place in Buzios that we went twice for dinner. Visit it, you will not be disappointed...

My wife and me have visited O‘Barco probably 15 times in the last 12 months. The food is outstanding, especially its value for money. We usually have the lobster there, but also the Mocqueca is great. All their staff is great and very professional (greeting to Rodrigo). BTW they have great caipirinhas and the view of the beach and fishing boats is incredible.

Very nice restaurant. Good location, friendly waiters. The only ‘problem’ is that it’s very crowded and most of the times we had to wait a bit before getting seated. But it’s worth it. The prices are fair and the food quality is good.

Lovely place to eat seafood dishes in Buzios. Affordable prices and great quality! We were very satisfied with the lobster and the shrimp bobo. We tried different dishes and all was freshly prepared. I highly recommend this seaside restaurant.

Almost walked past this place but glad we didn't. The staff were very friendly, service was quick and the food was very reasonably priced considering the quality of the dishes we had. The majority of dishes are seafood related, we had breaded prawns as a starter which were really good, and also a prawn based main (bobo de Camaro) and a chicken dish, both of which were excellent. The staff were wearing masks and we noticed were regularly sanitizing their hands. The caipirinhas were also very good. Definitely worth a visit.

I came in the first time for the name (Bananaland!! I love it 😀) but the food blew me away!! So, so, good! The first night we had the picadinho de filé mignon and the Nhoque de batata com espinafre (spinach gnocchi), which was perfect 👌 It was so good that we have come back and tried the Nhoque de Barao ao Molho de Gorgonzola (Gorgonzola gnocchi) and Filé com arroz de limão Siciliano. Meu Deus!! So delicious! And when in Bananaland, of course, you have to try the Banana Especial for desert, so we did.... I would have had another, but I was so full I just couldn't do it!!

I had the most wonderful experience here. The service is absolute perfection — the staff are incredibly kind and genuinely caring. The food is nothing short of a culinary art expedition. I came back several days in a row just to try all their gnocchi with different starters, and each dish was exceptional. Highly recommend!

This was hands-down, the best value for the money of any meal I had in town. The steak was outstanding and the risotto was a perfect pairing. We also had a thin steak special with gnocchi that was equally delicious. The ladies were friendly and great. The wine was great. I’m going to go back for another round tonight!

I have been there for 3 nights, I slept in both a private room and a shared dormitory. The front office staff was execeptionally helpful with all topics from transfer to the hostel, check-in, activities, all with a smile dedication and personal touch. Namely to mention: Jonathan, Chris, Aline, Henrique, Mateus, and Lia. Location is directly at the beach. As hotel guest you have access to free chairs and umbrella. There is also a community kitchen. On a negative note: Apparently no recycling is happening, everything goes in one bin,...for me personally this is something unacceptable nowadays. I put this information here, so that everyone can take this into consideration,

Great location, right in the heart of the action at Buzio, where all the shops and restaurants are. Also located right in the middle of prime location on the beach, less than one minute walk from the bedroom. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this place to everyone.

Everything was amazing! Staff was very helpful and spoke English. The rooms were very clean. The view from the patio is stunning. Right in the middle of all the fun places in Buzios. They recommended a bar down the street to watch Flamengo game and it was delicious and great vibes. Gave us some good recommendations to surf as well and we had fun doing that

They also offer massage services and yoga classes. The pools are super clean. We went in August and thoroughly enjoyed it. Located a few blocks from Rua das Pedras, on a main avenue where the vans that take you from beach to beach and the bus to Cabo Frio and Arraial do Cabo pass by. They offer free purified water and an electric kettle, ideal for those of us who need water for our mate. They also provide beach towels. Deliveries arrive regularly. I would definitely go back. Amazing experience! Better than in photos. Staff and service were incredible, kind, accommodating and excellent with food allergies and alternatives. The hotel was clean and luxurious and the perfect romantic getaway. The pool always had a great vibe, its walking distance to everything and the concierge helps you book dinner reservations in town, recommends places, researches for you! I just can’t say enough incredible things about this place. It’s worth going to Brazil, just for this hotel and view!

This place is fantastic. We visited from NYC and had the most romantic vacation. Pool area was so much better than expected, breakfast was delicious, and it was a perfect walking distance to town while still being private and serene. Had no idea where to pick in Buzios and so glad we ended up here. Highly recommend!!

This hotel was a magical getaway after a busy week in Rio. We arrived in the morning and talked by the pool until our rooms were ready. The view was so incredibly beautiful. We were an easy ten minute walk from downtown for shops and restaurants. The breakfast was delicious with so many different choices of fruits, juices and sweet and savoury dishes. I loved the avocado toast with poached egg and Hollondaise sauce. On our second day, Georgia arranged a dune buggy trip around to see the various beaches and views. On our final day, we had to leave for Rio in the afternoon. We spent the whole day at the hotel, relaxing with massages before check out and then pool time afterwards. The manager was a lovely man whose name escapes me. All the staff was professional, friendly and accommodating.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The pool is exceptional, as is the view. Food at the restaurant is also absolutely first rate. My room was fine, if slightly rough around the edges - only real gripe would be about sound proofing. But bed was superb. Communal areas also lovely.

This is an incredible hotel in a fantastic location. It's about an 8 minute walk to Búzios centre, but be warned there is a short but step hill down to the beachfront road. The Bridget Bardot statue is also nearby. The staff were really friendly and very helpful. The food and drinks were amazing. Our room was described as a partial sea view room, but the view was outstanding. We were staying in room 5 which was up a flight of stairs, but once inside had a chic beach hut feel to it. It also has a balcony. The hotel has an infinity pool and we could have happily sat by and swam here all day long. The hotel has a very relaxing feel about it. Breakfast was included and is ordered from a menu but you could order as much as you want. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely come back here.

The environment is traditional, menus are clear, the environment is cozy and the attention is excellent!! The owner speaks Portuguese and English which was great to listen about this project, the history and the plates purpose! The food is absolutely amazing!! Highly recommended!!

As someone who has been to the middle east several times and has had the chance to taste many wonderful middleastern dishes I can confidently say that these place is as authentic as can be. Great stop if you want to take a break from the prevailing italian places in Buzios.

Surprising and Delicious Arabic Food in Búzios I’ll admit—I was skeptical about eating Arabic food in Brazil, but Pimenta Síria in Búzios completely won me over. The food was excellent. I ordered the hummus with filet mignon, and it was flavorful, tender, and beautifully balanced. My wife had the babaganoush, and she loved it. Everything tasted fresh and authentic. The service was great, very welcoming and attentive without being overbearing. It’s clear they care about what they serve and how guests feel. If you’re in Búzios and in the mood for something different, don’t hesitate—this place delivers big flavor and a great experience.

Update June 2025: Still the best restaurant food I've had in Búzios. Try the humus com frango! The limonada is incredibly refreshing. Thank you for the best meal of the weekend! ❤️ May 2024: Very delicious shawarma de carne. Highly recommend stopping by Pimenta Síria when in Búzios. The esfihas were also very tasty and the dough seemed homemade. I'll definitely be back!

This place has an amazing range of vegan option, and I ordered a lot of them. They were all delicious and I’m very happy to have found this gem amidst all the bbq places in Búzios. Staff was very friendly and helpful, they speak English as well. I recommend 100%

We had Christmas dinner here and really enjoyed the food. There was only a Christmas menu which was a sample of a lot of different dishes. Although most were delicious, I would’ve enjoyed more to order a la cart the dishes we like to eat. Overall we preferred all the vegetarian dishes such as babaganoush, aubergine and falafel.

We absolutely loved our experience at Altto at Villa D’Este. The food is amazing, a true hidden gem. It’s close to the heart of the action, yet feels peaceful and quiet with stunning views of the bay. The service is outstanding!! Nico is a wonderful host, and Javier makes the best cocktails in town!

Vila D’Este is truly a spectacular hotel - amazing views, food and ambience, but the best thing about this oasis is the reception team! Gabriel has been an absolute superstar - every single day he made sure we had a plan, booked everything for us and gave us some stellar recommendations! Any minor issues we had, he made sure they were fixed and that we had an amazing time. He is one of the best examples of hospitality professional I have met in my travels! Marcio was also wonderful - always smiling and helpful and making sure we felt welcome and happy with everything. Rafael was also lovely, as were the rest of the team. I can honestly not recommend this paradise enough! Thank you to everyone in the team for making our holiday so special!

Amazing place for a date night. The atmosphere is suberb. I had the grilled fish of the day with baroque potato cream (mashed potato) and grilled spinach with broccolini. Delicious, healthy and filling. My partner had pesto gnocchi which was great too. The cocktails were delicious. I had the Maria cocktail with gin and red fruit. Only thing I did not like much was the fried ravioli starter, but I didn’t realize it would be deep-fried when I ordered.

We were here just for drinks. The beer selection was great with many artisanal options. I tried bionda oro that was a classic blonde bier, and after tramonto that was stronger. If you are into lager biers, both options are great. The staff is very friendly and on a side note - we didn’t eat there - the food options seem very good as well. We might try. Location is also good as it is in the middle of Búzios.

Hello customers.This is about restaurants and NOI Bar restaurants and hanging at day and night.All of his friends are listed here in the pictures below.I chose NOI because he stays "no miolo das ruas das pedras".And this is exactly what I am trying to pass you.Many are opened day and night,impressive spirit when you come by day,looks like the waiter is waiting for you and liking you also.Always been like that,that charming people tolerating youth at night and being cool with us during the day.It´s a blasfemy,but all has the spirit here,young,parents ans waiters.They are waiting for you at guetos,hanging,beaches and auscim trails in desert and wild beaches.Get tight in NOI,are wild trails and desert beaches unexplored by yourselve.Take a brief in NOI,get answered and curious and have an excelent and planned next day. This is a place where they believe in dwarfs and so.You might change your mood,thought you believe it and just shut when your colleagues of work mention that and your wild adventures with desert and unexplored beaches. All the paths are full of flowers waiting for you,I really wouldn´t care for having millions of dwarfs just laughing and showing culture and local to me.Maybe you have their spirits nowadays and hear tiese or picking around our resort. Don´t drink much,otherwise they will appear in person,just tiesing your beverage is over and you are coming back again to your material and safe world. NOI in miolo is certain the place to be it.Just save a few cash and try some polite restaurant like this.I am sure it deserves it. Good meals!

Food was average but extremely overpriced for what we got. I had the picanha steak which I'm afraid to say was quite poor. My girlfriend had a meal off the weekly menu which she enjoyed - this is what we would recommend. The beer was decent but again highly overpriced. We're visiting from Amsterdam where we're used to paying a lot for underwhelming food, and this is about what I would expect to pay there for this quality, but compared with other meals we've had in the last two weeks of our visit to Brazil this was disappointing... To top it all off we were charged a tip without being asked 😅

Mandatory place to eat in búzios! I had the best ceviche ever, girlfriend ordered the creamy and rich risotto, the pork sandwich also on point! Overall the food is well prepared, oriented to detail and delicious. Compliments to the chefs! A shame to only find out about this restaurant in the last vacation day.

TEN OUT OF TEN!!! The best restaurant that we’ve been in Búzios! It’s such a cosy place, pleasant atmosphere, modern interior and super friendly staff. And when it comes to the food - absolutely incredible! We loved everything we ordered - from the appetisers to the main courses & drinks. The highlights were the lemonades which were refreshing, perfect for the sunny day; and the avocado toast that I had was wonderful! Fresh ingredients, great quality, beautiful presentation and promising taste! We were all very happy with the choice for lunch and will definitely visit next time we come to Búzios. My second visit to Buzios, but first time eating here. Only been here 24hrs and eaten here twice. The first time, I had the prettiest and most delicious cevichè. The 2nd time, I had an iced coffee & their homemade cheesecake, both delicious again. The staff are always lovely, and I highly recommend this place. It's virtually impossible to eat a bad meal here. I've eaten here two more times since my original review. Everything is delicious.

Loved finding this little coffee shop and restaurant. The waiter spoke English which helped me as I'm from Canada 🇨🇦. Let me use their wifi 👍. I had the filet mignon, it was so delicious, with coconut lemonade. Everything was beyond what I expected. I came back the next day to try a sandwich and mint lemonade. Come, you won't be disappointed and the prices $$$ are reasonable.

YET - at the end of the day, they hit us up with a bill that was more expensive than the pass!!! Complete SCAM. It's a great spot to visit because of the natural beauty. BUT, I would STAY AWAY. You can buy a day pass that gives you access to the pools and the restaurant, and you can then spend the equivalent in food and drinks. Entrance price change according to the season. Low season was 30€ and higher season was 65€.

Don't come here, they have so many rules you can't do anything. Whatever you ask they can't do or help. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment room complete with kitchen.

An amazing hostel that was originally the vacation home of a famous Brazilian footballer. The facilities are beautiful, with a pool, jacuzzi, sauna, bbq, and bar. Also it is very hot and and they provide a very warm blanket on the bed. The front desk lady was nice but she cannot do anything for me and when I tried to speak to the owner he never responded to me. We left immediately to an Airbnb with no mosquitoes. Also Brazil having dengue problem so not very safe to sleep in room full of mosquitos. We went here because of the good 4.7 Google rating but it is not true at all.
