Going up and down was tough as it’s a tight spiral staircase all the way to the top, the 3 year old could easily have fallen through the bars. The top floor had a large terrace, which was pleasant. The house was conveniently located, but really that’s the only positive. The house comes with very little. No dishwasher tablet, no tea towel, no hand soap. However, the cooking pans and crockery were sufficient. Not even a mop….which would have been used certainly! We paid for the bed linen package, but although they came out of plastic seemingly freshly laundered many of the sheets were dirty and/or smelly. The house itself was dirty and tired. I really liked the water park. If it weren't for that, I wouldn't recommend this place. The prices are very high. The cottage was cozy, but a lot of things were missing. There was simply no salt or sugar. To wash the dishes, you had to buy a set for 7 euros or something like that. You had to lay the bedding yourself, and it wasn't included in the rental price either. It was surprising to me that after booking a premium apartment for 3 nights and 4 days we were not even provided basic towels, garbage bags for the dustbins, even a single bar of soap in the washroom or the kitchen, or the green plastic bags to place the bed sheets and towel in at the time of checkout. Service wise it was our worst experience with center parcs. Hopefully it only gets better. When I was at the reception addressing these issues I also saw some visitors complaining about their places not even being clean at the time of check in.

We stayed here for the second time, the first being about two years ago. This time we booked a Comfort holiday home for three people including a child, which cost us around €2000 during the peak summer season. That’s of course a normal high-season price, but still quite a chunk of money. The park itself is beautifully located. You can reach the beach in about 15 minutes on foot – though with kids, bags, and a cart it’s more like 30. The swimming pool is fantastic (and important if the weather doesn’t cooperate), and the park is spacious with plenty for kids to explore. However, a large playground as a real highlight is missing. But oh dear, the house! It was so worn out. We found dog hair everywhere – it would be much nicer if there were designated pet-friendly houses (like at Landal). The carpet upstairs looked awful. The narrow spiral staircase is a real safety hazard, especially if you have bigger feet, and it creaked terribly. The upstairs doors squeak so loudly that whenever someone went to the bathroom at night, everyone woke up. The windowless bathroom had a musty, moldy smell. Considering the high price, this was all quite disappointing. We still had a nice time overall (kids don’t notice such things anyway), but I wouldn’t pay peak-season prices here again.

The slides were a hit, and the wristband system for access and lockers worked brilliantly. The site itself was generally clean and tidy. However, there were a few things that really let the experience down. Some of the paths were damaged by tree roots, which made it a bit hazardous — especially as my son uses a wheelchair and had to be very careful not to get tipped out. It’s a safety issue that could definitely be looked at. But the biggest letdown was the accommodation. Ours (a three-bedroom, three-storey lodge) was dark, dated, and had a damp, unpleasant smell that made it feel far from clean or comfortable. The layout was surprisingly cramped, especially when compared to my sister’s two-bedroom lodge, which had a ground floor almost twice the size of ours — despite sleeping fewer people. The kitchen and living areas felt gloomy, and sharing just one bathroom between six people was far from ideal. It’s a shame, because this could be a fantastic place if the accommodation were brought up to modern standards. As it stands, we wouldn’t return unless we knew the lodges had been significantly refurbished. The surroundings, staff and facilities deserve better.

We had a wonderful 3-night stay! The park was pleasantly quiet, which made for a relaxing experience without feeling crowded. All the facilities were clean and well-maintained, which we really appreciated. The on-site restaurant was okay — the food is average, so don’t expect anything fancy, but it’s convenient if you don’t feel like cooking. A big plus is the well-stocked convenience store on the property. Prices are reasonable, and you’ll find most essentials there, so there’s no need to pack everything from home. Rooms are hot in the summer.

Natural High is the best place around for a chill vibe and plenty of vegan breakfast, lunch and dinner options! Had some banana pancakes for breakfast and a tomato soup for lunch, which were delicious. A decaf oat flat white was the same price as the tomato soup (±€7), which I thought was a little absurd. The additional price for plant-based milk of €1 is too much. Nevertheless very much recommended. Staff is great, location is great and we were able to watch a beautiful sunset and relax.

And one of the best things about this museum is that you can actually take a ride on an actual, old train all the way to the nearby port, which is about 7-8 minutes in one direction. Not necessarily the cheapest rental company in the neighbourhood but as we booked quite close to our arrival date we didn't have many options. When we returned the bicycles, the owner called us that we had damaged the connector between the battery and some other part in the bicycle. When we used the bikes we didn't have any issues, so we were totally surprised when he called us. Long story short he charged us another EUR 314 for the damage to the bicycle. Totally unacceptable and clearly we will never ever rent here again.

One of the most organised surf schools I’ve even been to! Amazing facilities including rental house, showers, bathrooms, restaurant, surf shop.. anything you would ask for when going for Watersports! I actually didn’t buy/rent anything, but my friend did. The stuff was also super helpful, showing me where it’s best to enter the water with my foil and where to be careful of the shallow waters. About the location: unfortunately in front of the club it has way too many sea weeds. With the foil, I got stuck repeatedly at the begging, and it took me a long time to get into deep water, but once I managed, it was alright!

Our son (14) went to Natural High Surf Camp in the summer (2022) and came back with a broken nose. Accidents happen but no one took him to a doctor to get the injury checked. As it happened he needed an operation inder full anaesthetic, and is now not allowed to do any sports for six weeks. When we called the management at Natural High Surf Camp to tell them what had happened, we did get an apology, but they couldn’t explain why they hadn’t done anything for our son. On their website it states: “alle begeleiding heeft een EHBO certificaat” (All staff has a first aid certificate.) It’s clear to us that the person who tended to our son didn’t know a thing about first aid. Poor show!

The interior is damp and dark, with little signage or explanation about its history, leaving you to guess what you’re looking at. It might appeal to someone deeply interested in bunkers or military history, but casual hikers won’t find it particularly engaging. On the plus side, the area is quiet, so it could be a good spot for those seeking solitude. But overall, the lack of upkeep and the muddy conditions make it a route I wouldn’t recommend unless you’re really curious about the bunker or prepared for a messy adventure. There are better hiking options nearby for a more pleasant and scenic experience.
