We visited here when we were on holiday. It is a fantastic place to take your children. We have a 1 and 3 year old and they had the best time. The indoor soft play was fantastic and clean. As it was a hot day there was plenty of things to do while keeping out of the sun. Especially the shaded picnic area which was outside. My toddler loved the go karts and the inflatable obstacle course. Lots to do and see. Would totally recommend coming here!
We had a brilliant family day out at Tapnell Farm on the Isle of Wight! As two adults and two children, we found there was so much to keep everyone happy. The kids loved meeting the animals, racing around the adventure play areas, and splashing about at the fantastic Aqua Park – definitely a highlight of the day! We also enjoyed a lovely meal at The Cow restaurant, which had delicious food and a really friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Everything was clean, well organised, and set in such a beautiful location. A perfect mix of fun, food, and fresh air – we can’t wait to come back!
A great day out for kids of all ages. we only spent the afternoon here and with only one 5 year old that was fine. But with more kids or older ones I think you could easily spend the whole day here.
Loved it here. So much to do for the kids. Football golf was a huge success with my footie crazy boys. The animal park was great, we especially loved feeding the wallabies.
We went off peak One of my party was a wheelchair user, all the staff was super helpful, as we went in off peak season we didn't have to queue for anything, a very child friendly place, And that is so much to keep them entertained for hours we ate at the restaurant the cow. The food is amazing.
Great place for the kids. Went with a toddler and plenty to do and enjoy. Was very clean and everything looked extremely well kept. Animals were happy, selection of animals inside and out. Inside and outside play areas so would be good in all weathers. Didn’t go in the soft play as the weather was lovely but this also looked great. We went in March so was quiet and brilliant that we got to use everything without any waits. Meant we didn’t have to book either but it is slightly cheaper buying online, £1. Also very good that there were no extra charges for some of the play equipment unlike some park farms. Shop and cafe and plenty of parking.
A fantastic place for a day out for a family with children of all ages, whatever the weather. With helpful friendly staff, reasonable prices to eat and drink or space to bring your own food but crucially plenty of space it is hard to fault as a children’s farm.
We only did the Aqua Park but it was a fantastic experience for an hour with plenty to do and very little queueing for each obstacle. Perfect for a hot day, though the option of wetsuits means colder days would be catered for too.

If you’re a lover of history this beautiful landmark is situated right next door to the Gossip Cafe on the edge of the sea. It’s not a huge place but it’s packed with great views and wonderful stories. A ticket is around £8.00 and the tour lasts for about 30 min. I really enjoyed the whole experience. 😊
This is quite a small castle, but an interesting one, well worth a visit if you're English Heritage members on the island. For those who aren't you'll need to balance the fee against what will be a quite short visit, about an hour at most. There's plenty of information about the castles history, which is rather unusual, having never really been involved in any fighting, and often left remarkably under manned. Excellent views across the Solent, some nice photo ops and the traditional gift shop as you come out. 5 mins walk from the long stay car park.
This is a English Heritage site, a Castle that sits right on next to the Ferry Terminal in Yarmouth. The Castle is relatively small with a small shop. At nearly £10 for non EH members in "my humble opinion" paying that is a bit steep. We walked the site and read the information boards easily in 25 mins. I'm a big fan obviously of EH as a member but this site would attract more visitors at a cheaper rate. The gentleman in the shop was very friendly and helpful. Parking for the Castle/Yarmouth can be found in the town or better still the long stay car park about 5 minutes walk away.
This very a small castle which you can finish within half and hour or so. However dun let the small size foul you the castle is filled with plenty of information about the castles history! Additionally it’s also very interactive, you get to try on old vintage costumes, and play the games that they have, we played two rounds of jenga :) Also when you climb to the highest peak of the castle, you get an excellent views of the whole Solent.
The perfect historic picnic spot with gorgeous views of the harbour at the mouth of The Solent. The castle opened in 1547 & was an artillery fort ordered to be built by King Henry VIII to protect against a French invasion. There are lots of interactive learning aids for the youngsters too. There is a small English Heritage shop on site with no cafe but my son and I were allowed to bring in our hot beverages and goods we purchased from the bakery in town. Highly recommend.
Small but extremely interesting location. Very friendly staff, and lovely views out across the water.
Tiny castle, interesting points about the castle and its inhabitants in each room. Beautiful views across the Solent
Been to the castle 🏰 with my daughter yesterday. It’s a very small castle but still a nice place to visit. Plenty of interactive bits, so a great place to take the kids. The only downside is that this place has a few stairs making it not very accessible for wheelchair users. My daughter is a part time wheelchair user, she is able to walk for 10 before her legs fatigue and get painful so we timed it for the stairs mainly. It is an old building, hence lifts can’t really be put in unfortunately. Unfortunately my daughters ankles are hurting today as the stairs were too much for her. Most interactive bits are upstairs, if someone is completely wheelchair bound then unfortunately there isn’t much to see at all downstairs apart from the kitchen and the dining room. If you have an English heritage membership, it’s definitely worth visiting.

Steve took us on the 2 hour mackerel fishing and needles tour as a family! We had an amazing time seeing the coastline to and from the fishing sites. We even saw a jellyfish and the Red Arrows fly over on training! We also saw kayakers reach Scratchell's Bay! Very cool to see the caves and Needles stacks from this perspective. We caught seabass and mackerel but even if we had not caught a thing we would have enjoyed seeing the Island with Black Rock! Steve is super knowledgeable too! I enjoyed learning about the different fishing rod approaches - four hooks for mackerel and single deeper line for seabass. The time went super quickly so you may wanna go longer if you think you will be into it? But if your first time and with kiddos, 2 hours is perfect! Has given me a newfound appreciation for where our fish comes from and makes me want to eat fish sustainably now. We BBQed them the same night and they were the best fish I have ever had. The fish 'meat' is much more tastier and thicker (I guess the fish are stronger from swimming in the tidal ranges?!). Would recommend.
Our group (3 adults, 1 child) had a great four hour morning fishing session with Lee. We were on the fish immediately and landed mackerel, bream, conger eel etc. Lee was an absolute gent from the off. A friendly welcome onto the boat, patient when we had a monster family tangle (lines) and very engaging with my son. Quick to unhook and bait up our lines, no time was wasted. He sent a big bait down on my sons rod, enthusiastically awaiting the illusive unicorn Bass. Unfortunately, this time it wasn’t to be. However the anticipation, excitement and memories remain, no doubt the fishing fever seed has been sown into my sons mind. I’d book again no questions!
We had a great trip out with Steve on Saturday morning, he was a great skipper and made a real effort to ensure we had a great time and that we caught fish! It was my second trip with Black Rock Charters and I can't wait for the next one.
Amazing experience! The captain, Steve, was really lovely and skilful. We were all novices but we managed to catch many fishes with his help. Strongly recommend you give it a try!
We took a 1.5 hour Cruise to the Needles, it was perfect - A lot of respect for Rob he was calm and patient getting people on board and ensuring everyone was happy. Also made sure everyone knew what to do in case of emergencies. We even managed to see DOLPHINS just past the needles it was a fabulous sight and a rare one! Rob even prolonged our trip to follow them! 10/10
An amazing morning fishing! Steve from Black Rock Charters was brilliant. We did a 4 hour fishing trip this morning. Our first catch was a couple of Bass followed by some mackerel which were then used as bait. My 11 year old son caught a Smooth Hound followed by my daughter catching a rather large Conger Eel. We also caught Black Bream. It was a brilliant experience. Thank you Steve for your knowledge and special catching riggs!
Did a 4 hour fishing trip with 3 friends. I'm not a fisherman but we were looked after and all caught fish. Awesome experience. Great staff.
Steve was our skipper and was really informative and helpful throughout the mornings fishing. We all had a great day and will definitely be coming back to do it again! Paul

A great 'little' set-up and a real shame if it is closing at the end of October as stated on the website. It's the kind of 'poor weather' attraction that unfortunately is fast disappearing. Our children really enjoyed themselves here finding all the features on their checklists. The entrance fee is very modest in the scheme of things as someone has to pay the electricity bill. This and the nearby reptilarium are well worth a visit.
Lots of railway models to see and for the enthusiast this must be an amazing place. It is a wondrous place for young and old and they do have little step platforms for young kids to climb on to see, might have to double or triple them up very young kids. The volunteers have obviously contributed to the models, and perhaps that explains why they are a little too precious about the models and can seem officious in saying kids shouldn't climb for a better view. With so many volunteers they could police the models better if they were to be a little more interactive with the public and explain what some of the models show or explain how they produced them - just a suggestion. They allow dogs in, but when we visited there was a rather snarly little dog that was less then welcoming at the front.
Prices for "everyone aged 4-94" (as the message outside says) is £3.80 per person. Its pretty small, but a fair way to amuse the kids for a half hour or so. Steps for kids to be able to see up and into the model railway. Its a bit Heath Robinson in construction; based in a small warehouse/large shed, but I'm sure the volunteers (?) probably do their best with the funds available. Free parking outside.
Isn't there any more for last 4 years
Any fan of trains is going to love this little attraction. It's a huge model H0 scene with lots of trains moving around the entire scene. Well worth £3.50. My four year old Thomas fan could not contain himself :)
This little model railway was a big hit with our 3 young boys age 5 6 and 8. We love the selection of trains and detailed set up really an amazing place and worth the visit!!
Great model railway, kids really enjoyed the visit and the spot the things quiz. Two large layouts one UK and one European.
My son couldn't believe his eyes when he saw Thomas. A well constructed model railway. Worth a visit.

Wow what a fantastic family experience. I took my two teenagers on this ride and it made their trip! Highly recommend and reasonable price too! Great fun and and amazing views.
Complete rip off. Just a huge money making racket. £10 to park just for a very short boat trip. More money if you want to take the chair lift to the beach for the boat. Then more money for a 20 minute boat trip. You just see the one side of the Needles and then you are rushed back so they can load the next boat load. It just a huge money making exercise and definitely not value for all that money. Avoid and save your cash for more worthwhile activities on the IOW! 😨😰
The boat trip was great and you really do see everything on offer at the Needles. The pricing wasn't too bad really and there was a really informative talk. The only issue was the mic wasn't very loud so we did miss a lot of what was being said which was a little disappointing as we were genuinely interested.
Would highly recommend going on the high speed boat trip if visiting the needles, it was so much fun! The trip was really well run with the current Covid guidance, the boat was socially distanced so we felt very relaxed and comfortable. You get a really close up and incredible view of the needles which was well worth the money.
Great experience and fully recommend it. I did the speedboat tour and it was really fun. Cost is slow boat at £8 per adult and fast boat at £15 per adult.
We booked the last trip of the day from Alum Bay to Yarmouth and had the boat to ourselves! Brilliant trip. Will definitely do it again.
Reasonable value for money choice of either slow cruise, or faster cruise on speed boat . Good friendly staff
Bit of a long que, around 60 mins in the que. But well worth the wait. Very friendly driver who knew his history well and some great wave jumping. Felt very safe.

Wow what a place well worth a day trip to the old & new Battery's the views for the needles are amazing so much to see & breathe taking. The area has shops and restaurants with plenty to do rides golf etc. car park was excellent value at £6 for the whole day. The ride up & down on the chair lift was a great experience. If you love walking scenery then you will love this place. The Battery is very interesting and a coffee and cake looking out to sea with views of the needles was worth the walk!
Wonderful but sadly the best view is not accessible as the cost guard building has an extensive fence. Next time I'll look for options to go in the water, as the view from the far cliff makes the needles look small and not awe inspiring
Great place with panoramic views. Highly recommended while exploring Isle of Wight. They have a huge parking and charge for full day parking is £6. There are stairs to the beachfront, or you can take the popular chair car cable, which is fun and picturesque. It will cost £12 ppl for round trips. At the beach you can take a boat safari which is readily available. A highly recommended place to visit.
Definitely worth a visit (or 2, we've been twice 😆) Good value especially if you head up to see the old and new battery placements up at the top of the hill. Great views on a clear say.
Amazing time! Such a lovely walk around. All staff were so friendly whenever we encountered anyone!
Beautiful views here of the needles and lovely walk down to the beach ..we arrived before any of the amusements were open
The Needles is undoubtedly one of the most iconic natural landmarks in the UK. With its dramatic white chalk stacks rising from the sea and the striking red-and-white lighthouse at the tip, it’s a breathtaking sight that lives up to its reputation.
Place is closed from October to April every year. The shop is open, but the chair lift, other activities, restaurants are closed. The online website and the Google maps says it’s open until 4 but not any of the activities but just the shop. The information online is misleading.

I had seen adverts for their August Sky at Night evenings in August and was intrigued. In the event the 14 of us (ages 5-78) had a totally brilliant evening! Thanks to the Planetarium team for an inspirational, hugely informative and fun evening. It really is the Island’s best kept secret. Spread the word, something for everyone!
Thank you Paul and John for giving us such a special evening. You were really friendly and knowledgeable and accommodating. Amy and Ben ( mum and grandparents) can’t recommend this experience enough was great for the whole family. Elisabeth Reeves
Delightfully idiosyncratic. Kooky. Wonderful. Run by people who love what they do, but not necessarily the most organised. It was a rainy day, and this was a perfect activity. There were only two staff: an older fellow who was a bit slow and not too hot on the latest payment technologies, and a younger chap who was very enthusiastic. The younger chap wasn't allowed to sell tickets yet, and the older one was in the earlier late running show. This caused a chaotic backup of people waiting to buy tickets, squished into the shop. Everyone there took it with good grace and humour, but if you take yourself too seriously, you would hate it. The Hooke museum is small but interesting, especially if you don't know the man's manifold achievements. The actual shows are fun. Children will learn a lot. They have 49 different shows and we were shown 3 in one sitting. One was a little dated and listed Pluto as a planet, but another was more up to date and listed it as a planetoid.
We had a lovely visit with our two children. We watched the Tim Peake show and we all really enjoyed watching the film and seeing all the space imagery. It made us feel very small. We enjoyed learning about Robert Hook's achievements too.
What an incredible evening spent with the wonderful John and Paul. We were mainly first time star gazers in our group of 14 aged ranged from 5 to 70s. We began by witnessing the most beautiful sunset from this wonderful location. Then we were shown into the planetarium where Paul explained the theory behind the stars and what we were going to look. Such a knowledgeable man. We then went outside and met John with his lazer guide light and telescope we were able to see all the major stars, shooting stars, the Milky Way and even Saturn..the actual rings! John was so lovely and patient and enthusiastic with all ages in the group. Such warmth and knowledge. What a wonderful place. A must visit for all! Thank you Paul and John.
A wonderful planetarium and exhibition, created and run by a passionate and knowledgeable gentleman. Definitely worth visiting!
Great experience and a very knowledgeable host, this is a small planetarium but is just as good as any I have visited in the UK. Our host was incredibly knowledgeable and guided us through the evening sky and as a budding star gazer gave me lots of great tips and guidance to help navigate the night sky. I would definitely visit here again when I visit the Isle of Wight. We spent the whole day at Fort Victoria doing various activities which the Island Planetarium was one of.
I am in my late 40s and have always had a little interest in the night sky. The passion from John and Paul's education and live viewing has made me fall in love with it. This is a real hidden gem on the island. Sure, their website doesn't work and they don't always answer the phone. But don't let that put you off a wonderful experience. We even saw Saturn and her rings through the telescope. Amazing

It's a small place with quite a lot of animals to see. It wasn't easy to find where each one was in its tank, but enjoyable nonetheless. There were lizards, snakes, terrapins, cockroaches and other creatures to see. It's worth coming back to a tank if you can't find anything in it first time. A visit is likely to take 30-45 minutes. It is situated within Fort Victoria and there is a cafe and shop nearby. It is also next to the sea. There's loads of free parking.
What a stunning little place! Never seen lizards as pampered at these! Every creature has its own beautiful habitat and all are so healthy and happy. Staff were lovely and I honestly can’t recommend this place enough!! Please give it a visit and support this lovely business. 🦎 🪳 🕷️ 🐍 🐢 xxx
Support these people and animals they really need your help! Amazing little place for children to enjoy and learn. Their energy bills have multiplied by EIGHT in recent months. An 800% increase. Many reptiles will not be able to move. So come down, see the reptiles, buy some toys and support these wonderful people. Kids loved it by the way, proper WOW LOOK moments.
Had my day planned for my 3rd day on the island..... Thought a nice breakfast in a nice cafe a walk along the beach then a visit to the reptilareum...because of my liling of the various species....wonderful i thought Gets to the bottom of the lane....a hieght barrier....coukdnt peoceed any further then had to reverse up the lane and find a spot to turn my motorhone about.....
A small but really lovely reptilarium. The animals are clearly well looked after and most of the tanks are labelled. The downvote is because there's no staff. We had to buy our tickets from the gift shop and then go in, and given the small size there's no-one to ensure that masks are being worn and social distancing regulations are being followed. This may have been due to the small number of customers when we visited and I don't know if they have staff in place when it's busier but I can only comment on what I saw. Editing my post in response to the comment from the owner. Juggling a public-facing business and school-aged children at the moment must be an absolute nightmare and under the circumstances I feel I can no longer fault them for any minor issues.
Had an absolutely fantastic time here absolutely loads for the kids to do from digging in sand to find fossils to looking at lizards and snakes and Turtles, they have stools around so the little kids can see all the animals in their tanks without parents have to pick them up and carry them they have small exhibits of random things as well just to take your interests for example monkey claws and shrunken heads they give you a stamp so once you leave you may re-enter again which this is one of the few places you can have a look around leave go to a cafe have a coffee and still want to go back an hour or two's time before you leave
Such a cool place! Especially if you are an animal mad like I am! Really good set ups for all the animals and really informative staff :) amazing selection of animals and lots to do for kids.
Me and my family went there and spent almost 2 hours. I attached photos of outside the reptile zoo. the experience was amazing. I totally recommend visiting there with family and friends.

Would highly recommend. Very helpful service, allowed us to change our bike selection so that everyone was happy. Well maintained bikes and in a great location. The surrounding area gives easy access to lots of different locations. Great venue to spend a bit of time too, there was a small cafe (not sure if it was open) and a lovely stream running past with beautiful views. We did half a day which was enough time to get to freshwater Bay and the needles.
Fantastic cycle hire people. We hired electric bikes for the day and loved the welcome we got on arrival. We booked at the last minute and they went out of their way to meet our needs. They explained well planned local routes with clear maps and great local knowledge. Lots of options for different skill levels. Bikes were in great condition and lots of fun.
When we rented ebikes for a day to cover some extra miles we were a bit disappointed when we got a rundown/broken kids trailer for the dog which one old ebike which would barely support without a bicycle stand should tow...both bikes were rather dirty and the chain came of multiple times which resulted in greasy and black hands as there was no signal to make a call...As we had no lock for both and stand for one of the bikes we did not feel safe to stop for lunch and leave the bikes. When we returned them we told about this but nobody really cared....
Great bike hire and shop selling essentials in the converted railway station building. We’d had a puncture racing to the ferry only to find we’d not got the right length valves on the spares. We managed to get the right size tube and a spare from the shop and they lent us a track pump to get it setup quickly. We then had a great day cycling around the island. Very friendly staff. Looked like they had a variety of bikes to hire and trails from their doorstep too.
This company is brilliant. Saffi (the girl working there) was outstanding with her help on paths to take, explaining comprehensively about our bikes and very efficient. The company even offered back up support should we have any problems with our bikes, however, we didn’t need the support! The e-bikes we hired were great and came with bike panniers, which were a good size for our 3 day trip! The bikes had easy to use locks, and chargers etc. There were 5 of us in our group and we were all very impressed with this company. We highly recommend them. Thank you Saffi and your colleagues.
Fantastic customer service and equipment hired for the afternoon from Wright Cycle Hire, great value for money too. We enjoyed a mostly cycle path trail to The Needles via a Freshwater bay then back up the west coast before heading back. It was one of the suggested routes on the map provided, easy to follow with a couple of decent pub stops on the way too. Will do it again on return
Simply amazing and seriously could not have done more at a time of need 🙏! I arrived on the Isle this morning to circumnavigate with my cycling club…10km in the rear tyre blew out…called these guys and they came out in a van with spares and got me back on the road..! Cannot thank them enough ..would have given 10+ stars.!
Great bike ride and amazing service, even our emo friend cracked a rare smile

We dined at ‘Saltys’ just before boarding the ferry today & had the best pizza I think I’ve ever eaten. A great welcome from the guy behind the bar, got us seated, gave us water & the food was quick to come out. Very attentive & friendly staff. The atmosphere was great & the kids loved it. Perfect spot for a bite before heading home. Couldn’t ask for more from a restaurant. We will definitely be returning!
One of the best pizza’s on the island! Lovely and fresh and fantastic dough! We collected for take away. We did have to wait a while as they were busy with a function but it was worth it! Unfortunately they didn’t have any cans of drink that we ordered so we had to have open cups, which wasn’t up to date with the website but we would highly recommend for meat or vegan food as well!
We spent the evening here on Saturday 22/7/23 whilst on our honeymoon 💕. Amazing seafood restaurant the ambience in the restaurant is lovely. The food was outstanding and service was very friendly, we then went down and burnt off our meal singing and dancing to the live music in the bar, amazing atmosphere! The taxi service is absolutely fantastic! If you book a table for food Brad will collect you and drop you back afterwards! Overall outstanding and we will definitely be back when we are next over. Thank you all for making our evening exceptional xx
We visited for a lunch in the beautiful upstairs dining room. The staff were very friendly and polite and their attention to detail was fantastic. We had the fish of the day which was monkfish, a very generous portion cooked on the bone. It was a beautiful piece of fish cooked to perfection and served with broccoli and buttered potatoes. Our starters were superb and the whitebait was crispy and delicious as was a beautifully crafted crab salad with charred grapefruit. The crowning glory was the dessert of jelly with cucumber sorbet, just the most perfect dessert which felt like eating a Pimms. One of the cleverest desserts I’ve seen in a long time. My dessert was the chocolate and banana dessert, it was rich and indulgent and sates that sweet hit at the end of a meal. If visiting Yarmouth do not pass up a chance to eat here. Incredible food and amazing hospitality from the staff!
This was our first visit to Salty's in it's new incarnation as pizzeria, pasta and bar. It was excllent and a welcome addition to Yarmouth. It has been taken over by the team from The Hut at Colwell Bay. Completely different from The Hut but the same level of quality and professionalism. We had the calamari, a Diavola pizza and the Arrabiata pasta. Coincidentally we were just back from 10 days in Naples/Ischia/Amalfi. The calamari was better than anything we had there. Proper squid pieces na incredibly light tempura style batter. Outstanding. The pizza could have held it's head high anywhere in Naples and the Arrabiata was delightful with a perfectly restrained amount of sauce. Oh and an excellent green salad. Great work.
Salty's is an absolute gem of a seafood focussed restaurant. Both the exterior and interior were high end, with an excellent menu and wine options. The food was extremely well cooked and presented, and tasted so fresh it could have jumped straight out of the nearby Solent onto the plate. So why not a full 5 stars....the only alcohol free beer option was San Miguel, now for those who've tried it I know you won't be drinking it again! The bread sharing starter oddly, didn't turn up with any side plates and really needed oil and balsamic to dip into, especially if focaccia is in the mix! Would I visit again, absolutely! Would like to see a few more options on the alcohol free side and maybe some more chilled music as it was erm rather eclectic given the quality of the food on the plate. Great job guys, can't wait to return!
We popped in to Saltys for an early dinner with our daughter last night. Honestly the best pizza we’ve ever had! The team are so friendly and welcoming. Great atmosphere and decor. Absolutely a 5 star review. The only thing that could improve it would be if they had beer on tap. Thank you for a lovely experience.
Visited Salty’s on half term. The pizza’s and starters we had were lovely. My 7 year olds kid meal was great value. Lovely decor inside which just adds to a nice experience. Honestly one of the best pizzas I’ve had in ages. I don’t live on the isle of wight but vest time visiting we’ll be back.

We wanted to see the Needles from the sea and decided the best way was to experience them by taking a boat trip from Yarmouth. After looking at a few boat operators we opted for the Coral Star. We had booked a week in advance and was rewarded by a sunny and calm day for our trip. Leaving Yarmouth harbour the tour took us directly to the Needles via Hurst Casle (a costal artillery fortress) On the way the captain gave a commentary pointing out things of interest. The boat luckily was not too crowded with an option to move around. Not far out of Yarmouth we all noticed a pod of dolphins and the captain kindly stopped the boat so we could watch them jumping and diving in the water. Then we continued off to the Needles, which looks even more majestic by sea going just past the lighthouse and then travelling back to Yarmouth via Alum Bay and other places of interest along the shoreline. Apart from the ferry it's the first time our boys have been on a boat and they loved it!!! The trip was very informative with the captain sharing his knowledge to the local area. There are drinks and snacks available on board. Highly recommend and well worth the money. The extra star was given for the dolphins..
Really enjoyed our cruise out to the Needles, the trip was well worth the money for a family of 4. Small bar on board serving a small selection of cold refreshments, you can't beat a BEER ON A BOAT... Great skills from the pilot who got us up close to the sights for some great photos. If you have a couple of hours and don't want to be crammed onto the normal Alum bay cruises, then this is just the ticket. FANTASTIC
Great boat trip from Yarmouth to the Needles. The guys are helpful and nice. The boat trip is a great opportunity to take some amazing pictures, see beautiful scenery and learn some interesting facts about Isle of Wight. Highly recommended
Booked over phone the day before. Boarded the boat at Yarmouth for the trip to The Needles. The crew were helpful and knowledgeable. Choppy seas didn’t detract from the experience and we even sighted a pod of dolphins. Excellent commentary and service throughout the 1hr 45 min trip. Well worth it.
Best way to cross from Lymington to Yarmouth if you’re on foot! The captain and crew are super friendly, boat is very comfortable and there’s even a very reasonably priced bar on board serving drinks. We also did the tour from Yarmouth around to the Needles which was great, learning lots about the island and seeing these amazing rock formations! Would highly recommend as a must do if you’re visiting the Isle of Wight.
We took this trip on Sunday and had a great time. The owner and staff made us feel very welcome and was very informative. I would absolutely take this trip again and I will be telling friends and family. 10 out of 10 Thank you for a great day out, worth every penny.
Absolutely amazing! The captain was very informative, leant so much about the island. Took some fabulous photos of Alun bay, the Needles and saw some gorgeous yachts. Plenty to see. We went from Yarmouth and I have to say it’s well worth doing. Really made our day! Thank you Coral Star and your amazing crew!
Had a wonderful time on the Coral Star today! The crew were welcoming, lovely, chatty, friendly and a much more personable experience than going on one of the big ferries. Definitely travel to the Iow every time with these guys. Highly recommended!!!

Attractive church in a small churchyard, situated close to the centre of Yarmouth. Construction of the building began in 1614, and it underwent significant updates in the 1830s. Notable features include the stained glass windows, organ and memorial statue to Sir Robert Holmes. The church and yard are nicely maintained, and at the time of my visit, significant repair work was taking place inside the church to preserve it for future generations.
I loved this little church so much. Yarmouth itself is such a lovely little town and definitely worth to visit. The church just fits perfectly into the setting of that market square and the old houses and pubs.
Beautiful stained windows!
Lovely Looking church.
Very nice and quaint church in Yarmouth. Very peaceful away from the hustle and bustle of the village.
Lovely little church worth a visit
Had a lovely feeling in this church.

I had an absolutely amazing experience! From start to finish, everything was well-organized, and the team was professional and friendly. Being taken up into the sky was an unforgettable adventure—so much fun! The views were breathtaking, and the entire experience was thrilling yet comfortable.
Great experience, Pad is a brilliant instructor 👍🏼
Had a fantastic 2nd day paragliding instruction. Absolutely excellent experience, great kit, clear instruction, huge levels of trust in the whole setup. Thank you!
Paddy has so much energy, encouraging attitude and will gift you an amazing skillset :-)
Such a brilliant day. Pad is a fantastic instructor, as was Scott. A very relaxed and friendly school whilst maintaining excellent standards. We’d love to come back!
Paddy has an expert eye for detail, doesn't miss a thing. Excellent course in a fantastic environment, views and choice of hills depending on wind direction. A relaxed way which makes learning a pleasure. Thanks Pad for tandem and tuition. Strongly recommend.
Amazing experience with a great team. Thanks 👍😊

Great base. West bay club use to have recreational and sporting facilities for guests that are now permanently closed. You are just renting the accomodation now. Such a shame as the pool and spa were a family favourite.
I just enjoyed a lovely break in Cape A2 West bay Club, which is a 2-bed chalet style cottage. I really felt like a valued guest with the host going above and beyond to ensure my stay was as comfortable as possible. I had no problem finding the accommodation, using the instructions and map provided. There's a large gravel car park, to the right of the entrance. There's a very helpful welcome pack and instructions for the oven, coffee machine, dishwasher, etc in the kitchen drawer. The cottage was spotlessly clean throughout and spacious. The bed linen and towels are clean and fresh. The complimentary milk, tea bags, coffee pods and even a packet of chocolate biscuits! are a really nice touch. I'd thoroughly recommend it.
Fabulous. Much nicer than expected. The resort is clean and well kept. The house we've rented is well maintained, clean and spacious with two well sized bedrooms. All fully furnished including bedding and towels. Check in was easy as the site emailed all details and key locker code. The site app has all the information you need, but they also leave a site guide book which is full of useful local info. Well worth staying here for a week on the IoW.
Cottage was absolutely nice and perfect for a family. West bay cottage location is near to Yarmouth harbour so within 5 min you can reach. The cottage area is very clean and there is a sufficient car parking on-site. There is no reception, no shops and no social amenities like no swimming pool , no entertainment for kids.
The resort is not good value for the money. Over the years in the past, my family enjoyed this resort and the best part of it all was always the West Bay leisure club which had a pool, a gym and a tennis court. One could come here and relax without going out much. However, I have been quite shocked this time after paying £1900.00 for a 3 bed cottage to find that the leisure club is closed and all that I have paid for is the 3 bed cottage for 7 nights with no activity and not even a swimming pool. It is not worth the amount without any amenities here and it actually quite boring. No wonder, the resort is rather quiet with no families around and nothing like it used to be in the past. We are really disappointed and trying to make something out of it all. I will not recommend this!
Great location 5 minutes from Yarmouth, with access to some stunning coastal and rural walks. Accomodation clean and very well equipped with everything needed for a self catering break. Staff very helpful and friendly. Leisure facilities superb - great yoga classes, clean and pleasant pool and smart tennis courts. Not the cheapest, but worth it in my opinion.
Impeccably clean accomodation. Very comfortable. Lovely atmosphere. Beautiful surrounds even in winter. Very good facilities I'd recommend taking a stroll down the track that used to be an old railway line just behind 'off the rails' cafe' in Yarmouth. Or follow the coastal path from freshwater
Very quiet location with easy access to Yarmouth Ferry.
