This beach is huge, with sand dunes behind it, a meandering river estuary to one side and the start of a coastal walk to Port Bourgenay on the other side. Veillon plage is perfect at all times of the year - brisk walks in winter and sunbathing in summer! Top tip: arrive before lunchtime as the car park fills up quickly!

You can go in and out as many times as you like. Plenty of shade for when it's hot and covered areas if the weather is inclement.
