A view to behold! The drive up the mountain to Prionia is not for the faint hearted but the views are definitely breathtaking! There a three spots you can stop and catch a glorious view from up the mountain. Two of the three have huts but only one of the stops (the first from the foot of the mountain) has enough parking space for about 4 cars and it has the most amazing view in my opinion. The other has enough room for just two cars if the drivers park properly and it has the best panoramic views of the 3 spots.
No cellular signal or WiFi, the water is from the spring (they’re cold and tasty), we ordered the burger and pork chops, we thought that the burger is an hamburger but it was meat only. Each dish came with rice and fries which were not so good.
A fantastic 5/5 experience! Prionia is the perfect place to relax and enjoy great food after exploring Mount Olympus. Delicious traditional food, authentic mountain atmosphere! Must visit!
Nice place with good service and affordable prices—especially considering it's the only place to eat on the mountain. The food is tasty, and there’s a good variety to choose from.
Nice traditional bean soup (a bit spicy by default for kids, ask for less pepper). Nice grilled pork portion. Friendly and flexible service (for instance, suggested to serve half portion). The place is great as well.
Bvery rustic, in the middle of the mountains restaurant, worth resting there before starting the ascent to the top of the mountain
The service is good and the place is nice, but if you have a choice, find another restaurant. Many dishes on the menu were missing. The meat was over cooked and other dishes are not fine.
Lovely bean soup, amazing lamb and peaceful atmosphere.

Everybody who whenever reads ancient mythes knows Olympus as homeland of Zeus and other young gods. But only a few people know that Christians had been here. Here, in the heart of Olympus, in wonderful gorge near the river Enipias, man monastary is located built by Saint Dionisiy in far 15th century. This holy - Saint Dionisiy - wandered of the world for many years, he had lived in Metheors, was in the Holy Earth, went to Afone. And afterwards he found his last sheler in the Olympus..
One of the most peacefull monasteries in the area. Extraordinary courtyard full of greenery is giving the place great calm and restful vibe. In the back of the monastery is also hidden a little museum with remarkable theological artifacts and historical iconography.
No tickets required/free entry. Just make sure the ladies in the group cover up respectfully at the entrance with the provided dresses/wrap fabrics. Diverted our tour from Olympus to come here for reasons. Had a lovely look around. It was very peaceful and has some great history. Beautiful buildings, and great displays showing some incredibly old religious artifacts. Was very impressed with the reliquaries of saints. Was something I had never seen before.
The museum is closed after 1 pm. This monastery is really beautiful. Remember to dress appropriately before entering the monastery. 👍
The location is nice. Well kept. If you are in town- it’s worth the visit. There seem to be a large number of almost identical monasteries in Greece- construction, layout, and decor. Nothing wrong with the place, but nothing out of the ordinary.
Beautiful place. A must visit when you are in this part of Greece.
The monastery was the end point of a route down Mount Olympus for us. The monastery is nice but the area around it is not well maintained.
Beautiful and peaceful monastery, right along the main path on Olympus. Very close and easy to reach, with a truly spiritual atmosphere.

Chain of small waterfalls plunging into a natural, forest-fringed rock pools popular for swimming.
Slide 1 of 8
A beautiful nature reserve with small waterfalls and many pools. In some you can just sit, in some you can swim and even jump off the cliffs at certain points. The water is cold and refreshing on a hot day. We were there on a weekend so the place was busy, but you could still find a secluded spot or pool.
Amazing swimming in crystal clear, very refreshing water of Aphrodite and Muses waterfalls, at Orlias Stream, Olympus mountain. The trail to Aphrodite waterfalls is a bit rough but the waterfall compensates the try. Extra info: You can find a canteen if you need to grab a bite before entering the path to the waterfalls or after coming out.
Beautiful place! Few tracks options, Tracks are light/medium and can fit even small children. Along the way up there are few spots to stop and enter the water (very cold but goes well with the summer weather). There is a large natural pool at the bottom with more smaller pools if you even go down. There's a canine just at the entry if you're missing water or just need some food
A hidden gem in nature! 🌿 Orlias stream is not only perfect for a refreshing swim, but also an amazing spot for mindfulness and earthing. Walking barefoot on the rocks, listening to the sound of water, you instantly feel grounded and reconnected with yourself.
Absolutely breathtaking! The natural beauty of Rema Orlias is something you have to experience. The water is crystal clear and refreshingly cold — perfect on a hot day. The waterfalls are stunning, creating a magical and peaceful atmosphere. A true hidden gem for nature lovers and anyone looking to enjoy unspoiled scenery. Highly recommended!
It's a nice, calm place and worth a visit while you're at Olympus Mountain. There's a small church nearby where you can sit and enjoy the food there. Bring a lot of water with you
It's a place straight from a fantasy book where you can also take a swim in the crystal clear and quite cold water, I can't recommend it enough.i visit it every time I'm in Greece.
An amazing spot for both children and adults. The waterfalls and the water are beautiful, and the water is crystal clear. It’s recommended to come with a swimsuit and water-friendly sandals because of the rocks. The two waterfalls are very close to each other and also close to the parking area. In my opinion, the farther waterfall is more beautiful, but it’s easier to swim at the other one.

Very good museum! We where guided by a seaman that was on the ships for many years and learned a lot from him about the history of Greece and the Marine history. The exhibit is wonderful and interesting with over a 1000 items about everything that you need to know on a ship from all times. Some are models of ancient historical ships and some are equipment from all times that you can see on a ship. The price was only 2 euro and we spent there over an hour so it was very reasonable. Ask for guidance by Iannis and you will not regret. I have learned a lot from Iannis and it is super recommended. Enjoy your tour 😀
It is open from 20:00 to 22:30. The first time we wanted to visit, it was closed, so we came back the next day. It was worth it. The museum was great and the guide was very friendly.
We were lucky to get a nice tour of the gentleman at the museum. His passion and knowledge made the whole museum so much better. 10/10 experience!
Everything is very nice.. only working hour is maybe better for tourist..
You should visit it. Unfortunately it might be open only in the late evening and that's because it is maintained and offered to the public as a result of a privately-funded effort. The personnel is eager to offer an excellent tour (even in English) and to give tourist tips about the surrounding area. We felt very welcomed, and the entrance fee is definitely worth it (2 euros per adult). The collection items are interesting while the descriptions and history behind them are touching. We wish the museum its best and hopefully to be expanded.
Very nice museum. We got lots of insights from a friendly man who spoke from experience. English friendly.
Nice mini maritime museum. If you are in the area, spend an hour.
Nice place for shiplovers.

We visited Enipeas waterfalls. Not my first time, and as usual, an awesome drive up to 1200 meter high on the slopes of Mountain Olympus. Amazing views. The waterfall itself is not that big but really nice, the surroundings are full of water streams and there is also a nice hiking trail. A small but nice restaurant is waiting for you at the beginning of the trail and waterfall entrance. For sure worth the drive and visit. Don't forget to visit Litochoro. A nice, beautiful little town.
Beautiful national park, amazing views and very accessible by car from Prionia. We parked at the side of the road and did a day trip up to Skala. The weather was perfect though it gets a bit chilly at the summit so back a jacket. There is a nice refuge halfway up where you can buy drinks and snacks.
Its simply beautiful! If you don't normally hike, like me, be prepared because the hike is quite long. Comfortable shoes and clothes because theres plenty of bugs. The view is worth it though! Push through!
It's a bit boring, but if you climb up for a long time and persistently, you can see a good view. I saw two small waterfalls and a five-minute rain)) In the morning there is almost no one there, but starting from 12:00 the number of tourists increases significantly. It's fun to see the faces of people who are tired of climbing after 10-15 minutes, but find out that there are still several hours ahead 🤪😆
We stopped here on our way from Meteroa to Thessaloniki. It was a great half(ish) way stop. We did about 2 hours of hiking and drove to the highest point on the road to begin our hike. The trails don’t have great signage, but if you’re an experienced hiker, you can figure it out easily. There’s a small shop at the top where you can get a sit-down meals. We grabbed refreshments afterwards. There’s a bathroom at the top as well, but bring toilet paper and hand sanitizer.
Fantastic place with beautiful views, a must see while in Greece!
Beautiful landscape. Long tour more than 5 hours. We were going to Refugee house. There was simple, but tasty food.
It is a very exciting peak worth climbing. We went there the whole family, even with the dog. We have some experience in the mountains and were prepared. We didn't wear helmets (we had two, for the kids, but didn't use them), but had ropes and climbing carabineers which we used to help the younger child (10 years old). We were instructed by a professional how to do it. We are not fearless but were not scared enough to quit. The dog mamaged by herself. We only helped her two or three times where the rocks were bigger. She has been to all the mountains with us and she has the stamina and the energy to go long distances without quitting. We had an oinment for her paws, because at a rocky terrain they get sore, especially if the rocks are hot. I think it is important to have good and comfortable hiking shoes when attempting the peak.

Despite the risen yellow flag, this was a beach we visited twice in a day. I certainly recommend you visit it, since it has a lifeguard we felt quite safe.
Great beach, very quiet as it's still out of season, but had a swim, wow freezing but we loved it
Coffee is instant and they bar doesn't use barista machine. But they charge 5euros for Freddo /Cappuccino wihiut yelling people it's instant coffee used. I mean get capsules if it's hard but instant coffee? If u wanted Frappe instant coffee I eiuld have ordered one! Shocked! Not just dissapointed but shocked. Greece has 1 coffee place every 100 metres and all make batista coffee. I travelled with train and they do batista coffee. Not coming again here ever. Please note this was my 5th visit this Summer and we knew as group coffee is bad. But I went to pick it up myself in bar and realised they don't even have machine and use powder. Shame! Putting also picture of the powder used to make instant coffee instead of machine
Beautiful beach with plenty of parking nearby. My family visited in early August 2025 and would have stayed all day, but the cafe suddenly started playing very loud music at 2pm. As we packed up our belongings to leave, so did four or five other groups who were all there with young families.
Not nice at all. The service was slow , and nobody seemed to care. The place was empty of life , and I don't just mean from people but the bar , the equipment, everything looked like it was almost abandoned , destroyed by the sun. I don't have words to describe it, and the photos do not show what I am trying to explain.
Beach is average. Sunbeds and sunshades are free... but... you will pay 15 EUR for 2 frappes and 2 0.5l table waters. Edit: After 30 minw, we found recipe from other family and we saw that 2 frappes costs 10 EUR, we complained and waiter return us 5 EUR. Conclusion: ask for recipe if you don't want to be fooled.
Best beach bar in the region

We took a 2-day tour to climb Mytikas summit of Mount Olympus as a family (with two kids, 12 and 10). The experience was absolutely fantastic from start to finish! Scramble to reach the summit was challenging but quite enjoyable. Our guides were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel completely safe throughout the journey. Their expertise and encouragement were evident, and they ensured that the entire family, including the kids, had a memorable and exciting adventure. We couldn't have asked for a better team to guide us on this incredible journey. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore Mount Olympus!
An absolutely amazing tour. Jannis was an incredible guide and our safety was his top priority, as well as making sure we enjoyed it! It’s a challenging tour - but I would VERY HIGHLY recommend
Been planning this for years. The Gods smiled at me. Guided me to Ioannis, who guided me to Mytikas , The Throne of Zeus, Mt Olympus highest peak. Gave us clear skies, sunshine and calm winds. Ioannis said the mountain was his home. It felt like that. We stopped to talk to his friends, to other mountain guides, to schoolchildren, to young and not so young. He knew every foothold and lovingly replaced and secured loose rocks as we passed by. It was more than a climb. For me it was the making of a new friend and other friends and also a deep spiritual journey. None of which will be new to mountaineers and walkers. Mo bhuíochas duit. Σας ευχαριστώ πολύ 🇬🇷🇮🇪. David Ennis, Ireland
Jannis has been a fantastic guide! He kept us entertained with his funny stories while hiking up the mountain and provided us with great insights and tips on hiking techniques. He also provided us with extra gears and took us to the best spots to admire the mountains, especially at sunset. We felt totally comfortable with him and we would recommend this tour any time. Thank you!
Could not recommend this enough!! Amazing experience. My father and I came to the mountain not knowing what to expect from this hike, but we met Ioannis, who guided us perfectly through the secret and challenging wild paths of the Olympus, all the way to Mytikas peak. We had the adventure of our life time and were happy to meet and do it with Ioannis. 10/10
Absolutely amazing experience! Jannis was an excellent guide and turned out to be a great photographer too! The mountain is gorgeous and I did the waterfall hike which turned out to be the most exquisite views I've ever seen.
We could not have enjoyed our time in Olympus more. Thanks Jannis.
(Translated by Google) Yannis led the advance planning, the trip itself perfectly. We felt that we were in particularly good hands, with someone who made the mountain and nature the purpose of the trip. Even in the difficult parts Yanis knew how to give the right suggestions.
