Stayed here for 10 days but also toured the island. By far our favorite beach in Antigua. Calm, warm water and never crazy busy. Spectacular sunsets with Montserrat in the distance.
Pretty Decent I didn’t visit for the beach but food instead. I was on that side of the island and couldn’t find a decent spot to eat. We stumbled on this spot that has a long drive in with clean open space and a nice parking. The restaurant is open with seating and a bar connected to the kitchen area. There was complementary rum punch on a table upon entering and the server was helpful. The food was prepared quickly and the cost wasn’t bad. The beach looked beautiful; there were persons out in the water and along the beach. The property also has bathrooms.
Beautiful beach - totally on brand for Antigua. No public facilities that I could find.
One of our many favorite beaches on the island, always a very peaceful place like having your own personal beach for the while.
We stopped at Turners Beach as part of our Mystic Cruises snorkeling excursion. The beach is real nice with soft, almost powdery sand. I walked down the beach to visit Turners Beach Bar. Melly was tending bar and she is excellent. Very friendly. She’ll mix your drink just how you want. I asked her to suggest a cocktail. Antigua Smile was her reply. I went for it. A delicious mixture of Antiguan Cavalier Rum, Banana Liquor and pineapple juice. Turners Beach Bar is open air, friendly and has a fantastic view of the ocean and Turner Beach. A great stop for both food and drink whether by boat or car.
If you want a white sand beach that's not crowded, this is your place. We were the only ones there. We saw it on our way to Darkwood, went to Darkwood and immediately turned back to go to Turners Beach. We parked down the road just a bit, and walked in and enjoyed the water. Not sure how great it is for kids, cause it did get steep at some parts, but if you're just looking for a quick dip in the ocean after a hot day exploring the island, this is an awesome stop.
Nice clean beach with bar can be noise also a bit rough
One of my favorite beaches in Antigua. No sea weed and the water is clear. There are also a few quaint bars along that strip

Just returned from a fabulous 11 days food is plenty full.. the grill bar is delicious the best server is Tanya ( Rihanna) we called her she was our favourite person staff work so hard especially Terence the duty manager he’s definitely not work shy even during the bad storm !! Actual manager nowhere to be seen.. apart from that rooms comfortable a little tired .. pool and beach area 100% sell the place met some cracking ppl but most of all had fabulous time and we are definitely coming back
Just came back from our 4 day stay at Jolly Beach. We were very skeptical about staying here because of the reviews we read so here's my honest opinion. From the moment we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by friendly staff. I saw a lot of reviews about staff's attitude and to be honest every person we interacted with were friendly and helpful. We got to the resort 2.5 hrs earlier than check in time because of our flight time. We were allowed to leave our bags with them and go to the restaurant for lunch and drinks after which we got our rooms; an hour earlier than we were supposed to. The rooms are small, no denying it but they were clean. The bathroom in the supersaver room is small but like the room, it too was clean. The room had shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, soap, toilet paper, box of tissue paper, hair dryer, safe, iron and ironing board. There's no mini fridge, kettle, water, tea/coffee. The rooms we got were to the extreme end of the resort so we had quite a trek to get to the lobby/restaurant/bar and it rained while we were there and there is no shelter to walk under to get there. On the days we spent there the food at the restaurant and buffet were good and well seasoned. There were bottles of pepper sauce in the buffet which we were happy for. The pool is big, clean and beautiful; the swim up bar is lovely as well. The main attraction is most definitely the beach, gorgeous, calm, clean and just a few foot steps from the pool area. We had a wonderful time at Jolly Beach, will definitely recommend, don't worry about the rooms too much because you won't be spending a lot of time in there anyways.
When we arrived to check in we were charged 168 US Dollars for tourists tax for 2 people for 1 week. We were then informed that they wanted another 200 Dollars US as a deposit, Wow!!! Then upon reading the small print I realised that if you wanted your room cleaned it would be another 10 Dollars US a day, not a good start for a so called all-inclusive holiday. During our stay most of the staff were really nice but unfortunately some are really rude and don't deserve to be working in hospitality. We liked the food, especially the burgers by the swimming pool. The rooms are very basic with a small double bed which to be honest was very comfortable. The best thing this hotel has going for it is location, the beach here and scenery are world class to say the least. The hotel swimming pool is also very good. Be warned that from Dusk until Dawn and some you will be attacked endlessly by mosquitos, they especially like ankles. Plenty of spray and bracelets mostly does the trick
The beach, the sea and the views are the reason to come here, it’s beautiful here. We were greeted by friendly staff and delicious rum punch drinks on arrival, check in was quick and we were on our way to our room, we chose to stay on a higher floor because we don’t mind stairs and like the view from a higher floor. We could easily walk to the beach, restaurants and pool. ( I wouldn’t recommend this for older persons who cannot easily climb stairs ) But they do have ground floor rooms. This beach is beautiful, perfect for long beach walks and a very relaxing environment. I do think they could add more of the in water rings that you can lay in and relax, because those do get busy and people tend to stay in them for hours at a time. I would also suggest having pool noodles and other items guests can enjoy during the day at the pool. ( no one wants to buy these items because you can’t take them with you) There are plenty of loungers and built in shade shelters, we never felt like we had to fight with others for a spot on the beach. ( which is the worst feeling when your trying to enjoy your vacation ) There are two pools, one shallow pool, the quiet pool for a cool down and reading area. Then there is the main pool with a swim up bar, fountain, hot tub, volleyball area and a restaurant right at the pool. The pool restaurant offers a few hot options during the day if you don’t want to leave the beach area for lunch at the buffet. The one thing I would recommend is that they offer fresh fruit as well at this restaurant because it would elevate the experience. The beach bar is busy, but the staff are friendly and service is fairly quick. I would bring a travel drink container with a lid ( Stanley Cup) so you can avoid getting sand in your drinks on windy days. Breakfast was definitely our favourite meal and they had omlet and pancake stations at the buffet to order yours with the toppings of your choice. My honest opinion is that if you came for the beach, you will love Jolly Beach!
The room we had was small (supersaver) but as we only showered and slept there it didn't matter- complimentary toiletries supplied. It was ground floor and had a lovely patio with views of garden down to the beach - beautiful sunsets every night. The beach is amazing - one of the best on the island. The 2 pools are great with plenty of beds and sunshades. The buffet food was lovely, fresh made omlettes for breakfast and different themed buffets in the evening. The snack bar by the pool was great during the day. Make sure to visit Pizza Factory a la carte dining. The cocktail menus were endless, so much choice. Only downside - I've gained half a stone. I would recommend but don't expect luxury.
Excellent value for money - staff are all very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are basic but clean, and the beds are comfy so you will sleep well which is the main thing! Beach is right on the doorstep and there is an outside bar/ pool bar. The food is actually quite decent - way better than I originally thought it would be, which is great! Its close to rhe harbour and supermarket too, in case you want to venture out. Really enjoyed my stay here and will definitely return :)
Review for Jolly Beach Resort: I stayed here for my birthday and honestly, I was disappointed. My room was up several stairways, far from everything. The Wi-Fi didn’t work in the room and was unstable around the property. The TV cable wasn’t clear, the shower was noisy, and the bathroom was very small. Lunch varied but was of poor quality. Dinner and breakfast were fine. The staff in the Palm Restaurant were respectful and polite, and the bar staff were great. However, the staff at the restaurant by the pool were not welcoming at all their attitude made the experience uncomfortable. I stayed my full three nights since it was already booked, but I won’t be returning unless things improve.
My mother and father honeymooned here over 30+ years ago. This place holds special memories for my family. I took my mother here for her birthday. We had a day pass which at the time was $75usd each, in local currency we paid $405ecd altogether for both of us. The cheapest on the island at the time of writing this post. The ladies at the desk were very patient and attentive. We were given a wrist tag. The place is a bit dated and needs an upgrade but the staff are amazingly welcoming and can’t do enough for you. We met a lovely man on the beach named Alex who gave my mum an amazing reflexology massage. He is there daily I believe and relatively cheap. Even if he charged more, I would pay because my mum said the foot massage was that good! We really enjoyed the breakfast/lunch buffet and grill. Good food choices, not really like a proper all inclusive but the choices they had were delicious! Lots of salad, fruit and healthy alternatives too. They also do my favourite drink ever, coconut crush (they also do these at Big Banana-a must try👌🏾) had these flowing unlimited throughout the day. From what I remember the pass is from 10am-5pm. Use of the pool, sun loungers and beach is included, suggest bringing your own towel and slippers. They have water sports, but you have to book and pay for this. There is a section of the hotel where you can do this. The views alone on the beach are absolutely worth it on a clear and sunny day!!!

Will is a great host! We were able to snorkel the reef next to the beach, enjoyed amazing food, and he’s hoping to get the water park back up and going in a few weeks! Sounds like he’s got big plans coming soon. We’ve been here two weeks and this is the only place we’ve come back to twice!
April 2025, we were not sure whether this would be open or not as found conflicting information on fb and Google reviews. 1x 8y old and 2 teenagers enjoyed this attraction. They were tired after an hour. Cost $105 US for an hour for the 3 of them. Johny was very friendly and would recommend this as something fun to do on the island.
We were passing by and we saw Swash and stopped in to see if we could have some fun! We surely did. Ace and Johnny were super nice to us and explained the entire experience to us. My family and I definitely enjoyed ourselves! We will definitely be visiting them again. The slides were very cleaned and properly maintained and life jackets were given to all of us to wear. Thanks for the wonderful opportunity to experience!
I had way more fun than I expected. The course has a lot of variety and can keep you occupied for a long time. The price for locals is very reasonable per hour and the guides are friendly and adventurous. Great to go on as a group of friends.
staff super friendly & helpful- we appreciated that they looked after safety, very good value, my family had a wonderful time & the kids LOVED it. Would recommend to anyone looking for a fun way to cool off on a hot day, especially in the summer. we will absolutely be back!
Fun time....bring ur muscles bc i fell in the water like 10xs..lol For the kids rashguards help. Ask for Marcus..he was great to us.
Super fun spot to spend the day. Johnny and his crew helped my son get up and move around on the inflatables. The whole crew is super sweet and patient with all the kids there.
There was only 1 floating piece. Nothing like the pictures. All other pieces were covered in sand on the beach.
