Beautiful island to explore. We saw a traditional Scottish wedding. There are a lot of seagulls during certain times that can be aggressive! You can grab snacks and ice cream in the giftshop.
Had an amazing family day out with Forth Tours and a visit to Inchcolm Island. The ferry trip was very informative and we were able to see seabirds including Puffins. We were very lucky to see two Seals close up resting on a bhoy as we travelled by slowly. Inchcolm Island and Abbey are a great visit with beaches, terrific walks and an amazing opportunity to enter the Abbey and grounds.
Really enjoyable wee cruise. Crew helped and knew all about where the seals are. Great views around the bridges, if you get off on the island enjoy the 90 minutes of peace and quiet. Dog friendly on board and on the island dog is asked to be kept on the lead.
A Jewel hidden in the Forth! Tranquil idilic location. Went with The Maid of the Forth. Well organised comfy seats great views with onboard refreshments. Good compère to inform one of the geography history locations and wildlife. Went on a calm sunny day and was pleasantly surprised at how interesting it was . Historic Scotland control visiting the site but great value. The Monastery and war defence relics are worth visiting . Gift shop for mementos and small museum. On return they do a tour round the Three Bridges going underneath the iconic structures If near here a great attraction worth visiting .
First time visiting the Island on Friday. It was an amazing experience. Met by the Staff who were welcoming and friendly. The views were amazing from every part of the Island. Watching the birds go about their daily lives. Will definitely go back. It's a wonderful place.
What a beautiful island! We spent 1.5 hours here and there was plenty to see and do if you took your time about the island. The Abbey was stunning and in amazing condition to explore. The island was gorgeous and had lots of beautiful views. The seagulls and other birds were numerous and walking around them was a little eery!
Spent the morning here and had a lovely time exploring the island. We took the spiral steps half way up to the tower, if you don't like confined spaces maybe best avoided. The wooden steps to the top of the tower are so steep, I had to come down backwards like a ladder.
Nice island for a trip. The highlight is the abbey, and from the tower you have a beautiful view of the surroundings. In the breeding season, the seagulls are very pushy and hostile, and you imagine yourself in the film The Birds.

A marvellous experience. Over 400 years of history. The tour guides were helpful and friendly. There was a well priced Cafe on site. Parking was a short walk from the House. The drive from the main gate to the House was an experience in itself.
You have seriously got to visit Hopetoun House if you are visiting Scotland! This place is amazing in every sense of the word, including its cafeteria. The views across the estate and the Firth of Forth from the roof is stunning, and the guided tour we had by Helen was fantastic and educational... thank you Helen, and thank you to the Hope family for allowing us to view your magnificent house and be part of your amazing family history.
An incredible place. The building is packed with interesting history, and the grounds are just beautiful especially at the beginning of autumn. All staff is super knowledgeable and make feel every visitor welcome.
Absolutely loved my visit to Hopetoun House today! I was the first one through the door this morning, which felt like stepping into a private stately home tour – brilliant start to the day! The house itself is stunning, full of history, charm and breathtaking detail in every room. What really made the experience even better were the guides – every single one I spoke to was friendly, knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the place. They added so much depth to the visit and were happy to answer questions and share fascinating stories. Highly recommend a visit if you’re in the area – it’s a true Scottish gem!
Beautiful place to visit. Been here twice as a visitor and again as a volunteer. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff with lots of history to share. A must for Outlander fans as the house has featured in many episodes as various different buildings. If Midhope castle is a must on your list, I'd recommend buying the combo ticket as it makes it cheaper to visit there.
This is a magnificent house set in a beautiful estuary parkland. It is blissfully peaceful and restorative to the soul. Access is along a housing estate which is narrow in places but the brown tourist signs are worth following for access. The ticket hut was staffed by a friendly and welcoming lady who gave us much useful information for our visit. Parking is easy and the walk to the house level. The house is stunning. Views are extensive and along the Royal path to the Forth bridges. The café is again staffed by friendly people and the soup, cheese scone, bacon bap and salad and jacket potato all very nice. Seating is very comfortable. Volunteers are knowledgeable about the history of the house and enable a greater engagement with what can be seen. There a a few modest walks around the grounds some of which take in the views across the Firth of Forth. We would thoroughly recommend it for a visit and maybe come back again to take it all in.
Enjoyed the history and the grand rooms in Hopetoun House. The regal yellow and red drawing rooms were especially impressive as was the ballroom which had 3 huge chandeliers. Also enjoyed the woodland walks with the resident Roe deer herd.
Absolutely stunning house, soaked in history wich the guides situated in most rooms can tell you about. Shout out to Maureen Smith who read to us in her native doric. She was so funny, lovely and eager to share her knowledge.

It was a dream come true to visit LALLYBROCH (Midhope Castle) as my sister & I absolutely love Outlander. Everyone we met was lovely. The weather was glorious making it a favourite magical memory of my 1st Scottish holiday. I cried when I 1st saw it!! Outlander fans will really appreciate a vist to Jamie Frasers ancestral home 10/10
Jamie Fraser was Laird and master here from Outlander fame. The castle is being refurbished now. Not much to really see here unless your a True fan. Just remember Hollywood and reality ofter don't look as imagined. A beautiful spot, nice forest paths leading to various locations from the series.
Got out to the site of Outlander’s Lallybrach. This was on a “castle route” from Edinburgh to Inverness. We decided to meander rather than take the quickest route. The walk around the grounds was interesting especially when you matched scenes seen in the show. Walked down by the stream that was the site of several scenes. Plan to rewatch and see if we can pick out the sites we stood on. Parking was easy and ample and just a very short walk up the road to the castle. We bought our tickets online but you can purchase them on site, along with some merch. The site is still a working farm raising pheasant to release for hunting. The one downside was that the castle is closed on the inside as it is deteriorating and not safe. If you’re an Outlander fan, go see it. If you’re a castle history buff, go see it.
I thoroughly enjoyed our visit. As an Outlander fan, the interactive self paced tour was really great -‘totally enhanced the experience. The gentleman who greeted us was friendly and thorough and being given high speed WiFi was a bonus to make the experience fluid. Loved it!!!
Nice old building but you have to be into the outlander series otherwise it is a little random. Unfortunately the restoration of the building is not finished yet so only the outside and tye grounds can be visited.
It's £7 each for entry. You can't go in the "castle" and there is literally nothing else to see. It's a cash grab by the owner. It wouldn't be so bad if the money was being reinvested back into the property but with it's plastic windows and poorly kept garden it's clearly not the case. Save your cash and take a photo from behind the barrier at the car park.
We had a few hours to spare today, so we decided to pay Midhope castle a visit since the weather was good. There is plenty of parking, then a short walk to the ticket / gift shop which had friendly staff . The castle is an interesting historical place where you can see all the different add ons over the centuries , it would be good if in the future the castle was made structurely secure so the inside could be opened to the public. It has toilets and a few picnic benches, so you can sit and have some chill out time and enjoy the sunshine as well. It's good to be able to visit a centuries old piece of Scottish history still standing . There is a coffee and cake trailer at the entrance, which makes a great oat milk latte, and the cakes are good as well served by a pleasant chap as well . The £7.50 entrance fee is reasonable to keep the castle standing into the future.
You just have to visit if you’re an outlander fan!!!! No Jamie….. but still so glad I visited and got to see the house/ location after years of watching the show

Beautiful scenery. Very nice walk around the town with beautiful buildings and magnificent views of the three Bridges.
Queensferry a great day out plenty restaurants pubs coffee shops etc . Great views of both bridges
This impressive with an overall length of 2.7km was completed in 2017 after being started in 2011. The queen formally opened the bridge on 4 Sept 2017. In 1964 (on 4 Sept) she had opened the bridge next door (Forth Rd bridge)! This modern bridge, has three above road white pillars with metal stays also painted white. The M90 is the motorway that goes over the bridge. There are two lanes of traffic on either side of the pillars. The bridge takes its name from a free ferry service that Margaret, queen of Scotland in the 12th century, provided for pilgrims to travel north to St Andrews.
We were lucky to get across before it was possibly closed completely. This was a few hours ago. I do not know the current status at 15.30pm Saturday
Amazing structure and piece of engineering but during busy periods it just cannot cope with the volume of traffic so if you are travelling during these periods expect it to be very slow both on entry and on the bridge.
Such a stunning bridge and you can tell a lot of thought and experience has gone into making sure the bridge is safe! Recommend going over the bridge rather than going round.
An amazing feat of engineering, spectacular views of the surrounding area! It could have been improved in several places however the QS & the powers that be have signed it off plus it's free........... ENJOY!!!!!!!!
It’s very impressive, a short walk down a path off the main drag takes you under the bridge and back up the other side. A decent walk.

A small but interesting museum in Queensferry. Certainly worth a visit. It's also nice to see that in such a small museum they even managed to create a kids corner.
South Queensferry gives you panoramic views of the bridges, a meeting point for bikers and a pleasant stroll through the High Street. Worth looking round the little lanes, small harbour, etc.
Concise little history in a historic building in the centre of the village. We were glad we dropped in to read the exhibits before enjoying more sun & views.
Cozy historical local museum. Staff is friendly.
Lovely museum..lots of interesting exhibits ..well worth a visit..
Beautiful place only 15 min train from Edinburg
How many stars do you give a museum that's been closed the three times you visited, despite coming the hours that were listed here? The first time, I came during the hour or so it was closed in the afternoon (even though Google said it was open), so I updated the hours on Google. There was a sign out front that there was a wedding ceremony going on, so I didn't rattle the door or anything. I returned a couple hours later (after taking the train across the bridge and the bus back on the other bridge -- recommended!), and the celebrants and a photographer were outside, just getting ready to go for the wedding, so it should've been open before. I finally came back a week later, on my way to the airport, and it was still closed. I asked some folks hanging out on the steps who seemed to be local, and they weren't sure when it was open. I wish I'd just booked a sightseeing cruise, rather than coming by three times trying for the quirky local museum. It's a pleasant little town, for sure, but don't count on the museum.
A very lovely little museum which is a hidden treasure and well worth a visit. It is set out beautifully and all very local and interesting. There were lovely touches everywhere, for example there was a book of all the men that were local, about their lives before the war and during the war, they all died in the war. You picked out a packet of poppy seeds from a basket, each with a different name on the front, looked up the name that you had and read about the person, took the seeds home with you and planted them in remembrance for the person. Was such a lovely idea that I hadn't seen before and was a really nice, personal touch. Check opening times before you visit. It is 4 rooms managed by one person so they close for lunch and are only open certain days etc. There is no entry fee, so runs on donations. We easily spent a couple of hours there. It's hard to pick a favourite part but there is a really powerful telescope which is set up in a beautiful bay window with a stunning view. You can get a real close up of all three bridges, read the number plates of the cars, the sign posts, and see individual people. You can zoom in on the boats and the houses on the other side of the river. You can see door numbers, people walking their dogs and going about their business, when you can only see the houses in the distance with the naked eye. You can see the trains crossing the bridges, sea birds, the architecture of the bridges in such detail, more than I could have imagined. Sometimes the best things come in small packages and I believe that this is the case here :)

It was incredible experience. Our tour guide was amazing. First you get free welcome drink - you have 3 options from Jameson (Jameson with lime and ginger is amazing). Then you go to first room, it’s about history of Jameson. Second room is about how to make Jameson and on third you learn about differences, how to smell and taste different Jamesons. With this guide, it was really amazing and I could stay longer than 45 minutes.
My wife and I took this tour on a Monday morning a few hours before our flight home and had a wonderful time. Our tour guide was very animated and obviously loved his job! Great tour through history all the way to current time. Definitely recommend this tour for any whiskey aficionados or anyone with just a taste for Jameson.
I paid about $26 for the Jameson Distillery tour and it was worth every penny. They start with a really cool 3D projector story about the history and how Jameson is made, then you move into a tasting room where you try four different Jamesons and learn how to properly smell and taste whiskey. It truly feels like a world-class experience. The premium ones were noticeably smoother (whiskey by itself definitely grows hair on your chest 😂), but it was fun, informative, and delicious. After the tasting, you get a drink included — they already have a bar set up with several cocktail options, and if you want another drink afterward you can buy more. The tour guide was incredible — funny, knowledgeable, and made it feel like he actually believed every part of the history. It was so good I found myself thinking, “Do y’all hire? I could work here too.” The staff overall was extremely friendly and helpful. They’ll even hold your bags if you’re coming straight from the airport like I was. There’s merchandise at the end if you want to shop, and the whole experience is just a lot of fun from start to finish. I would 100% come back and I’d tell anyone visiting Dublin to add this to their trip.
What an unforgettable experience at the Jameson Distillery! We opted for the Secret Whiskey Package and savored every moment. The tour was a delightful blend of history, craftsmanship, and fun, with fascinating insights into the company’s founder and the art of whiskey making. The highlight? Learning the skills of whiskey tasting, followed by a truly delicious sampling experience. Despite the bustling crowd of fellow travelers, the staff made us feel so special and welcome. We loved every minute and can’t wait to return!
Had a fantastic tasting tour on my second visit to this iconic Irish distillery. The guide’s deep knowledge and entertaining presentation made the experience memorable. It’s no wonder Jameson remains one of the world’s top selling whiskeys. Highly recommended!
Exactly everything you'd expect from a distillery tour. Great tour guide, samples of the whisky, and the best ambiance. All the employees were stellar and very nice to chat with. You can also purchase exclusive bottles you can't get anywhere else in the world.
This is one of the best distillery tour I’ve ever done! I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Dublin. Our tour guide was really informative and had a great demote of knowledge about the history of Jameson’s. I’m not usually a Whiskey drinker but after trying a Jamesons, Ginger Ale and Lime in the bar I am converted.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Jamison Distillery. I went with my husband and my daughter. It was very informative and quite interesting. There were several experiences during the tour. We tasted whiskeys that we hadn't tried before. Our new favorite one is Black Barrel. We've bought a bottle now that we're back home and have shared it with a neighbor. He is now a fan! I recommend going on this tour. It's fun, educational, and it even has a cute little shop inside.

We had the best wedding day we possible could have at Dundas Castle in April 2025. From not long after we got engaged, we knew the venue was for us. The venue itself is gorgeous, and we loved that our ceremony, drinks reception and evening reception could all be held in different parts of the castle/grounds, making the day flow really nicely for our guests. There is so much history surrounding the castle and it's the perfect fairytale wedding venue. We just wanted to say the biggest thank you ever to you guys! We had the best day of our lives on Saturday and we absolutely couldn’t have done it without you. Our day ran so smoothly, there were no hiccups and that's all thanks to incredible team led by Sinead who went above and beyond. It made the day so much more enjoyable for all of us knowing that everyone was taken care of.We always felt included but never bothered in the decision making on the day! I LOVED that! All of our guests commented on how helpful the staff were and how it runs like a well-oiled machine. Offering a room for our friend who is breast feeding was such a lovely touch and much appreciated. It was the little touches we loved like our room being cleaned before our private moment, our family photos and guest book being so neatly displayed and moved down to the pavilion, or our stationery being so neatly packed up for us leaving with absolutely nothing for us to do. The accommodation is stunning and I felt like a proper princess that night. So thank you! Jill was absolutely amazing in her responses to emails, organisation, keeping us updated and being a familiar friendly face. The whole team are just fantastic. We would highly recommend Dundas Castle as a venue to all of our friends - for us it cannot be matched!
We attended a wedding at Dundas Castle and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We were incredibly lucky with the weather; clear blue skies that made the grounds look even more breathtaking. The castle itself is beautiful, with an older section that adds a real sense of history and character. We stayed in the Daphne room in the courtyard, which was charming, comfortable. A highlight was meeting the friendly black and white llama wandering near the lawns. His buddy is slightly less friendly! From start to finish, everything about Dundas Castle felt elegant and special. I would highly recommend.
Where do we even begin? Our two-day wedding extravaganza at Dundas Castle was beyond anything we could have imagined — truly a dream brought to life. We planned our overseas wedding for more than two years, and the exceptional service didn’t start when we arrived at the castle… it started the very moment we inquired about hosting our wedding there. From day one, Jill, our wedding coordinator, was extraordinary. Every conversation, every tiny question, every idea we had — she listened, took notes, and understood exactly how we envisioned our day. We always felt supported, heard, and genuinely cared for. And Morven from Heritage Catering was just as outstanding, helping us curate the perfect food and drink menus for both our rehearsal evening and wedding day. She made the entire process feel effortless and exciting. When we finally arrived at the castle, we were speechless. It was spectacular — straight out of a fairytale. Sir Jack, you’ve truly outdone yourself. The beauty of the grounds, the warmth of the atmosphere, the sense of historic magic… it took our breath away. The staff at Dundas were impeccable. They welcomed our guests with such kindness, personally helped everyone to their rooms, and made us feel so incredibly special from the moment we stepped inside. We were greeted by our day-of operations coordinators, Ellice and Emma from Heritage Catering — an absolute super team. Wedding planning can be stressful, but the second we met them and reviewed the final details, all the stress melted away. We knew we were in the best hands. Our wedding day itself was perfect in every way — surrounded not just by the love of our friends and family, but by the love, care, and attention to detail of the entire Dundas team. Everything flowed flawlessly. The food was incredible, the drinks were spot-on, and our guests had the time of their lives. We felt like royalty. Coming from the States and planning a wedding in a country we had never even visited before, we were truly blown away. Dundas Castle exceeded every expectation we had — and then some. If you’re considering getting married here, or know someone who is… run, don’t walk. It will be unforgettable. And honestly, who wouldn’t want to get married in a castle surrounded by such beauty? We would relive this experience over and over again if we could. Dundas Castle will forever hold a piece of our hearts. 💛
As a wedding photographer, I have had the privilege of shooting at many stunning venues, but Dundas Castle truly stands out as one of the most unique and beautiful locations I have ever worked at. The castle itself is absolutely breathtaking, with its historic architecture and stunning grounds. It provides the perfect backdrop for any wedding, with plenty of beautiful locations for photos both indoors and out. What really sets Dundas Castle apart, however, is the level of care and attention to detail that the staff provides. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed with how well-organized and professional everything was. The wedding coordinator Morven and other staff are friendly, accommodating, and always went above and beyond to make sure that the wedding party and guests were comfortable and well-cared for. As a photographer, I appreciated the flexibility that Dundas Castle offered in terms of photo locations and timing. There were plenty of stunning areas both indoors and outdoors to take photos, and the staff was always willing to work with me to ensure that I had enough time and space to capture the perfect shots. Overall, I would highly recommend Dundas Castle to any couple looking for a truly unique and unforgettable wedding experience. The castle itself is stunning, the staff is professional and accommodating, and the location provides endless possibilities for beautiful photos.
We got married at Dundas castle in September 2023. The two days we spent there were exceptional. All the staff (especially Ellis our wedding planner) went above and beyond. Making it a day we will never forget. Alex and Kelly
Finding the right wedding venue can be so daunting but Dundas and their staff are very experienced and efficient. The venue itself also does not need anything extra as it is stunning! We got lucky with the weather in the end but even if it continued to rain, it was still an amazing day. You can see the value for money in the way they manage big events. It was a day to remember and would highly recommend any bride and groom to book the castle for their wedding. The location is also amazingly close to Edinburgh and the airport. Thank you to all the staff on the day!
We looked at so many venues when deciding where to get married and we just kept coming back to Dundas Castle. To sum it up, a day at Dundas is truly like a day out of a fairytale! The venue is absolutely stunning in every way from the moment you drive in, and we are so happy we chose to get married there. As soon as you arrive, the staff are helpful and efficient and make you feel like the castle is your home. Every room is decorated so beautifully and uniquely by Lady Lydia. Our guests couldn’t say enough great things about the entire place and experience. We booked the venue for two days to have more time with our guests and it was everything we could have hoped for and more. The wedding day went flawlessly because everyone there was so organized. All the food on both days from Heritage Portfolio was amazing with many compliments from our guests (huge thank you to the team with special mention to Morven, John, Emma for being so great!). Special shoutout to Morvern and Aileen and Jill for helping us plan such a beautiful day as well as our late night bar manager, Jen! And lastly, a big thank you to Sinead for going above and beyond to help us with anything and everything during our stay and on the day of the wedding. Our experience at Dundas Castle was incredible and so special. You will have zero regrets choosing them as your venue! We are half-joking about planning another event there just so we can go back :)
My husband and I had a destination micro-wedding at Dundas and I cannot say enough lovely things about this space as a venue. The staff is exceptional, the food is fantastic, the rooms are stunning, and the grounds are absolutely gorgeous. Aileen was an absolute rockstar and could not have been more kind and accommodating. We had the best wedding day we could have ever imagined and Dundas made it SO special. 10/10 recommend.

What a fantastic place for all brewed beers fanatics.. Sample what they make and can show you how they process and produce fantastic beer delights. The beers might not suit everyone taste palates but it's worth a visit and you learn a lot... We loved this place and will be back again for more supplies. Go for a visit and experience the joys of relaxation and of course beer tasting. It's set in a lovely estate and look out in months coming when they have beer festivals having guests from other breweries showing off their produce. A huge and massive thank you to Mark for showing us around knowledgeable and very entertaining.. Nice one Mark
We went to a tour last weekend. The owner is very knowledgeable and the tour was fantastic. We had 3 half pints included in the price. Beers are lovely as well as the wee pub. The shop on the High Street is also run by the same brewery. Worth a visit. All in all it is a family owned lovely business.
Had a great time at the brewery last night to celebrate (or as he'd have you believe commiserate) Craig's significant birthday. Excellent tour hosted by owner Marc accompanied by samples of 4 of his excellent ales. Fantastic beers as always. Definitely worth a visit if you're in South Queensferry.
Went for a brewery tour, Mark was very knowledgeable and highly entertaining. The beers are great too, although the bar is a bit small so you might end up outside, just dress accordingly. Would definitely recommend.
Mark hosted a brewery tour for 8 thirsty Welshmen outside of the usual tour times which we appreciated. He was a knowledgeable, thoughtful and entertaining host. The beers were varied and tasty. His approach to brewing is thorough and creative. I would highly recommend the beer and the tour.
Had a private tour, Mark was an excellent host, very knowledgeable and happy to chat away. His beers are fantastic, all served in a lovely wee bar. Tap shop is open most days, highly recommended.
Great local brewery in dalmeny near south queensferry. Has a wee tap bar and shop where you can sample and purchase real ales. Friendly and informative staff who are only to happy to help out with a description of what tastes are in each ale. Dog and child friendly. Usually have a few ale festivals throughout the year which are well attended. About to start brewery tours in the evening where you can book out the place to party with friends. Definitely worth a visit. 👍
Went to a tasting session here and found it a pleasant place to spend my Sunday afternoon. Very warm and welcoming business, with a lot of fantastically made ales. My favourite by far was 'Hoppy Christmas'. Thoroughly recommend to all.

I have made several purchases from Harbour Lane over the years and thought I could not be impressed further until I received my Butt and Ben stool. Fantastic quality and service as always. Well done!
Gorgeous shop! My family know how much I have always wanted a lamp from here and bought me vouchers for a ‘big’ birthday. It took me a while to choose the one I wanted believe me. The service from Tori and her team was amazing and the lamp finally arrived today after a game of catch me if you can with Parcelforce!! She’s a beauty and I’m absolutely delighted. Thank you all at Harbour Lane, can’t wait to visit the shop in person again soon.
A lovely independent shop hidden in an alley named Harbour Lane. Entering the shop we were surprised by the contrast with the outside, a brightly lit interior with tasteful decor leading to a full-height glazing with the view of the backyard. A good variety of beautiful designer products for sale, part of them Scotland or South Queensferry themed.
Fantastic shop full of wonderful gifts. So many lovely items to see in the shop and to browse online. I have just purchased two glass base lamps (potentially could have bought more and might well do this when I go back to collect one of the lamps!) along with the most beautiful lampshades. One of an island scene and the other a woodland setting. I also have purchased a stunning orange lampshade with a Pitenweem view inside and also a gorgeous green lampshade featuring a rabbit. Honestly you won’t be disappointed by any item purchased in this gem of a shop.
I’ve visited the South Queensferry shop which is just lovely and full of amazing gifts, art, crafts and much more. I’ve just received my first online order which has arrived beautifully and carefully packaged, with a sweet handwritten thank you note. My package arrived so quickly too, so a very happy customer - thank you Harbour Lane!
Something for everyone! Love Harbour Lane, they are my go to at least once a year when it's my birthday and I need to rescue my husband 😆. They always have quirky fun earrings (a girl can never have enough). I could honestly spend so much money as I love all their products. Perfect for gifts for others or a spoil for yourself. I used to pop into the SQ shop frequently but sadly I've moved to the Borders and now have to order online. Delivery is always super speedy though and I continue to follow their Instagram account to keep in touch.
A lovely shop, lots of interesting items, a big range and something for all pockets! Ideal for presents and home too - we have bought lampshades, cushions, beautifully designed and made. A real asset to Fortrose High Street, and thoroughly recommended !
What a fantastic shop - brilliant range of prints, soft furnishings, lamps and arty things. Loved the home made work bench (pic attached - look closely). We have now bought 2 lamps for ourselves, as well as one for our son and one for our nephew and have a larger one being specially made for us. Well worth a visit. If you have an idea, Tori will convert your design to reality and at a very reasonable price.

Beautiful. Peaceful. Lovely place for a quiet little walk. One of the most charming churches and graveyards I have ever been in. A few parking spots just outside, but also next to a residential area so be respectful of residents parking. No dogs allowed. Church services are still conducted here on Sundays. Also a small museum which wasn't open but looked very informative. Some of the oldest gravestones I've ever seen. A very nice place for a peaceful walk.
This place has such a peaceful vibe. We love to just take a slow quiet walk around the churchyard and through the nearby woods.
Such a beautiful, tranquil church and graveyard. Some of the stones are worth a look as they are so old and tell a great story. There is a tiny, wee museum as you walk through the gates too. Never been in but I think it would be great to see.
A gorgeous wee walk from Blackness Castle, the tree in the church yard, is truly awesome. I want my ashes scattered there one day.
Beautiful.\nLy kept garden and building area a little spooky in a grave , but very cool
Peaceful, and historic. Also has a great walk along coast which starts here. Has a small museum as well with 7th century carvings.
Just up the road from Outlander’s Lallybroch (Midhope castle) is this beautiful church well worth a visit if in the area. With a few parking spots that aren’t taken by residents parking you can avoid the parking charges for Midhope. You have two options to get Midhope from there either down the windy road or through the forest (follow from the gate down the path at the bottom of the hill turn left - you can either follow the path all the way or take a shortcut through the muddy path)
This was a truly peaceful and atmospheric place to visit. A lot of the graves were very old indeed. In addition there is a little museum with examples of Celtic and Viking stonework on display.

Ferry crafters meet up at connections cafe at queensferry Parish Church 1st and 3rd monday each month. Highly recommended- delicious cake at the cafe and everyone welcome to ferry crafters and connection cafe- bring along your crafting and join in
Awesome gothic structure, serene and savvy.. right at the heart of South Queensferry... A place of encouragement, comfort, peace, and warm smiles & hugs! 🤗
I had a truly joyful and blessed Sunday at this wonderful church. From the very moment I arrived, the love, warmth and hospitality of my brothers and sisters deeply touched my heart. The atmosphere was so welcoming and family-like, filled with the presence of God. The worship team played and sang beautifully, creating such a powerful and uplifting time of praise. The young pastor, with a kind and cheerful spirit, shared God’s Word in a way that was full of life and blessing, which truly refreshed my soul. I am truly grateful for such a loving and grace-filled church.
Easy to find a one end of station road. Great views across the Forth and views of bridges. Short walking distance to shops and the village. The church and meeting rooms have easy access.
Very warm welcoming lovely people. The service at 10am is great for families with kids

Sunday Service at 10:30 - historic building but a contemporary feel to the services. A new minister since November 2023.
Distinctive historic church that was formerly part of a Carmelite friary. Following the reformation in 1560, the friary buildings began to fall into disrepair, and were used for storage and stabling horses by the residents of South Queensferry. The church was first restored in 1890 and returned to use as a place of worship, with another extensive restoration completed in 2000. Today, the church is a recognisable landmark for visitors to South Queensferry.
Booked a wedding there for september this year. Met the minister way back in May. Was promised further meeting before the big day . Never happened. Paid 500 pounds for a 30 min rehearsal the day before. Last minute change of minister who was not very pleasent to our photographer. Got into the church day before to decorate and the keys didn't work, total shambles. Didn't even cut the grass or hedges totally over grown. Would not recommend the church. Wish I hadn't booked it.
This is the first time we have had to use this facility but in all fairness it feels like you've given up to be able to seek help, but the people in this place are understanding and agreeable to your situation so thank you priory church for your kindness and we appreciate it..
Very beautiful old church. The roof is unusual. Don't know the age of the building. But very nice.
Lovely historic building and love and friendly worshipping community as well
Beautiful old church with stained glass windows and original stone carvings
Nice venue and meeting place. This is the oldest building in Queensferry.

Loved the Islay whisky tour with in depth visits such as the warehouse tasting at Lagavulin. Great company and well chosen accommodation.
(Translated by Google) We have now booked through Wind & Cloud for the third time and are extremely satisfied... The first time was a guided group trip, the last two trips were individual. Everything was well organized and prepared - from the rental car to the overnight stays (good selection of hotels and B&Bs), the ferries and booking the distillery tours. Plus nice excursion tips and information. The introduction of the app is a great thing, all tickets and travel information are listed and communication via the app is also great, for example to receive quick information about changes to ferry departures. Top! Our preferences regarding locations and length of stay were taken into account and perfectly implemented with suggestions from Wind & Cloud Travel. However, cancellations by our accommodation providers were promptly and competently accommodated with attractive alternatives from our planners. The travel documents were comprehensively packed with recommendations for restaurants, hikes, attractions, sightseeing, etc., and were supplemented by a digital app with interactive maps and additional descriptions. During the trip, we were able to give all the accommodations nothing but high marks; our planners had made a very good selection. Conclusion: The trip was thoroughly well planned and organized. The Wind & Cloud Travel planning team did a very good job, was available at all times, and we visited them on the last day in Edinburgh. Many thanks again to the friendly team. We are sure you will recommend them. PS: We were traveling in our own car, drove about 6,500 km and, no one will believe this, we were traveling with the top down in the convertible for almost 18 days.
(Translated by Google) We did an "adventure trip by train" (13 days across Scotland). This was lovingly put together, perfectly prepared as part of the associated app and so wonderful to enjoy on site. The travel app was a great companion on the go. The information about the individual places, accommodation (easily accessible via maps), sights, train departures and tips on local restaurants was taken care of by our own research when we were on vacation, so that we can fully concentrate on the trip with its diverse impressions could. The accommodations were all good to very good and were also within walking distance of the respective train stations. The rail connections worked well for the most part; in the event of strikes, we were able to switch to intercity buses (Citylink / Stagecoach), for example. A wonderful individual trip that met or exceeded all expectations. Thank you for the perfect organization, it will definitely not be the last time we travel with “Wind & Cloud Travel”!

The accommodations chosen were beautiful and very well equipped. When planning the trip, all of our wishes were taken into account and implemented perfectly. During the trip we had a competent contact person in Sandra who was always available to give advice. The travel documents with recommendations for sights, hikes, restaurants, things to do, etc. replace any travel guide and were very detailed. You can tell that the company knows and loves the country very well. When we come back to Scotland (and we will!) we will definitely travel with Wind & Cloud again.
