Sights & Landmarks
The Forth Bridge, an iconic 1.5-mile-long railway marvel that opened its doors in 1890, gracefully spans the Forth estuary and serves as a stunning backdrop for exploration. Surrounding this engineering wonder are 40 captivating short walks that invite adventurers to traverse the Kingdom of Fife.
This is a stunning bridge, worthy of a visit to photograph. Parking is a little tricky to get the best spot, and the free car park they have shuts at 9pm and locks you in, charging you to exit so don’t get caught out.

If you ever get the opportunity to experience the top, do it! This was done as a birthday surprise for me and I absolutely love it! From the start to the top, you go through the history to an open top experience! An unforgettable experience it was and I'll definitely be doing it again!

Visiting the forthbridge was a wonderful experience. I was amazed by it's unique structure and how well it represents Scottish engineering. I was so impressed by by how huge and strong it looks. The view from there was amazing ,especially with the water and the trains passing over the bridge.
Vinoy ( — Google review
The Forth Bridge, probably my favorite bridge in the world. A world UNESCO heritage site. Opened in 1890 after 8 years of construction, around 200 trains a day cross the bridge connecting North Queensferry with South Queensferry, Fife with the Lothians. A total length of 8094 feet, and 361 feet above the water. The bridges colour is known as Forth Bridge Red. We stayed next to it on vacation and seeing the bridge at all times of the day was fun, the bridge at night is otherworldly. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ —————————————————

A magnificent piece of infrastructure. Viewing this incredible bridge from North Queensferry was a great experience. I just stood and looked at the bridge for long. While looking at it, one cannot stop thinking about how this bridge was built. The engineers at the time did a fantastic job.

The Forth Railway Bridge was opened in 1890. It is an engineering wonder. It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in July 2015. I have crossed it many times on the train but to stand on South Queensferry Pier is a privilege. I would now like to see it from North Queensferry but that will be another time.
Allan M — Google review
We went on a trip to see the Forth bridges and it was well worth it. To be up close to the railway bridge and hear and see the trains going across was special. Because the bridge is all metal you hear the trains across the whole length. We started on the south side then crossed the newer road bridge which in its self is quite spectacular to see the railway bridge from the other side. You get to see how close the houses are built under the bridge. On the south side there is the Bikers Cove cafe that we stopped at and got a coffee and something to eat. Well worth going too, nice friendly people and good food. Steve and Jenny.

Iconic, impressive bridge. It was easy for us to have a good look at it as we were on bicycles. Well worth going down to the river, somehow, to see it though!

Down the Hatch

Diner
Located in Port Edgar Marina, just under the road bridge in South Queensferry, Down the Hatch is a restaurant known for its generous portions and flavorful Canadian cuisine with a local twist. The establishment offers a unique dish called Poutine, which features hand-cut chips, cheese curd, and rich brown gravy. This spot is situated about seven miles west of Edinburgh's city center and is more convenient for Scotland's motorway system than for exploring tourist attractions in Edinburgh.
A little off the beaten track but well worth seeking out!! Excellent food in great surroundings, dogs welcome for the alfresco dinning under a covered canopy, a bowl of water appeared instantly on arrival and sausages can be ordered for the pooch! Staff are very friendly and helpful; cracking little place full of Scottish hospitality and awesome food, definitely worth a visit!

I would go as far to say this is the best breakfast I’ve had in a very long time. Especially after one of our recent visits to another well known place. This was leagues above. Service could have been a tiny bit better in attentiveness. Checking to make sure everything is alright, if we needed anything else but the staff were indeed all super friendly & knowledgeable. Not a huge fan of suggested service fees / tips (which you can remove). It happens many places and it’s an American (Canadian in this respect) system that shouldn’t be adopted. The products are priced accordingly inclusive of overheads. If I’d like to tip which I always do, I feel better about it being my own decision. However: Location speaks for itself. Down by the marina under the bridges. What more can you ask for. Would advise to book ahead on their website to ensure you get a table inside or out. Will for sure be returning! Well done 👏🏻

Down the Hatch is a quirky little gem that we visited as a family during a recent trip, and it absolutely delivered on flavour and atmosphere. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was relaxed and welcoming, with a cool, laid-back interior that set the tone for a fun dining experience. The staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. Now, let’s talk about the food—because that’s where Down the Hatch truly shines. Every dish we ordered was packed with flavour and beautifully presented. The standout, without question, was the pancakes. Fluffy, golden, and stacked high, they were hands-down the best pancakes we've ever had. Whether topped with fresh fruit, syrup, or something more indulgent, they were a showstopper. Even the kids couldn’t stop talking about them! The menu offered a great variety, catering to all tastes, and everything we tried—from burgers to loaded fries—was cooked to perfection. It’s clear the kitchen takes pride in what they serve. That said, it’s worth noting that Down the Hatch isn’t cheap. Prices are on the higher side, especially for a casual meal. While the quality justifies the cost to some extent, it’s definitely more of a treat than a regular stop. Still, for a memorable family outing with incredible food, it’s hard to beat.

Amazing food and atmosphere so much so we went back twice while away on holiday. They are very knowledgeable on food intolerance, which is a very big bonus for my husband as he is gluten and dairy free.

This Canadian place is one of our favourites. If you haven’t been, I suggest u get your shoes on and move ur bum…. Located at the Forth bridge for a day to explore…. Always call before u go as very popular and kitchen closes at 11 for Bfast and opens at 12 again for the lunch menu.

This a great wee place tucked away in the back of South Queensferry. Friendly service from the start to finish only had a coffee and Poutine. The coffe was brilliant. But definitely be back now I know where it is. Good choice of seating inside and out. Could see it being busy at the weekend as it was busy midweek.

My family & I always love both DTH locations. This was our first time trying the breakfast skillets, and we loved them. I hsd the full Scottish, and my wife had the Canadian - it was Canada day and so it felt appropriate. The food was amazing, and the staff all friendly and all incredible with out 1 year old who was chatting away to them all. Based on this, would definitely go back for breakfast again.

Forth Bridges Viewpoint

4.6
(2686)
Forth Bridges Viewpoint is a popular spot for photography, offering views of all three Forth bridges. The area features a small square with a bench and is ideal for capturing picturesque landscapes. Visitors can take boat tours from this location to explore the surrounding area. The viewpoint provides a clear sight of the red Forth bridge, the white A90 bridge, and the new A900 white bridge.
It was the last stop on our Edinburgh itinerary… We debated a lot about whether to go or not since it’s quite far from the city center, but it’s definitely worth the visit. Especially if you go at sunset, you’ll be greeted with an incredible view. The sea breeze, the charming little town nearby, and the two magnificent bridges make it a perfect spot — an absolute must-visit!
Mrs. G — Google review
Great spot from along the South Queensferry road to see the bridges. The Forth Bridge (the old red one) can be seen clearly on its own. We saw dolphins playing. The other two bridges look great but you can’t get a photo of them separately from there. If it’s a nice weather day and/or on the weekend be prepared to have to park your car a bit out of the village down the road and walk in - there’s limited parking. Lots of icecream and coffee shops and a bakery that you’ll have to queue for.
Peter W — Google review
Good view from this side of the river. Google maps failed miserably to navigate me to this spot, it tried sending me the wrong way down a one way street, but if you get in this vicinity you’ll get good photos
Keri B — Google review
Unscheduled but welcome stop proffering the best views (other than being on them!) of all three bridges. The rail, the road and the new road bridge. Plenty of information boards providing lots of relevant statistics. If you want to photograph the Forth and it's bridges then this is the place to come.

South Queensferry is an excellent town with great views of the bridges and shipping traffic. nice walks along the promenade and boat trips down the river offering opportunities to get excellent photos and views of the bridges. Queensferry, also called South Queensferry or simply "The Ferry", is a town to the west of Edinburgh, Scotland. Traditionally a royal burgh of West Lothian, it is now administered by the City of Edinburgh Council. It lies ten miles to the north-west of Edinburgh city centre, on the shore of the Firth of Forth between the Forth Bridge, Forth Road Bridge and the Queensferry Crossing. The prefix South distinguishes it from North Queensferry, on the opposite shore of the Forth for postal services. Both towns on the Forth derive their name from the ferry service established by Queen Margaret in the 11th century, which continued to operate at the town until 1964, when the Road Bridge was opened. South Queensferry has been named the most beautiful town in Scotland following a 2025 Telegraph study of 1,250 towns across the UK. A local fair dates from the 12th century. The modern fair, dating from the 1930s, takes place each August and includes the crowning of a local school-girl as the Ferry Fair Queen, accompanied by a Ferry Fair Court of other school-children, a procession of floats, pipe bands, and competitive events such as the Boundary Race. The Fair had a dedicated radio station, Jubilee1, which in May 2007 was awarded a licence to evolve into a full Public Service Community Station for North and South Queensferry. The 2022 census counted 10,216 residents in South Queensferry, as it was listed at that time. Its population at the 2011 census was 9,026 based on the 2010 definition of the locality which in addition to the burgh includes Dalmeny.

Was great to see this amazing piece of engineering up close, if your in the area, it’s definitely worth popping by, and the village there is really sweet.

The Railbridge Bistro is a vibrant bar-diner offering a Scottish bistro-style menu with stunning views of the Forth Bridge. Located in South Queensferry, it provides an informal dining experience and a contemporary twist on traditional pub fare. The restaurant serves dishes like chunks of steak in ale gravy with creamy mash and vegetables, as well as delightful desserts such as raspberry milkshake cheesecake.
Had a fabulous birthday breakfast!! Our waitress Stephanie was so lovely, and so happy! We all had a couple coffees, which were delicious, and classic Scottish breakfasts. Especially loved the candle in my tattie scone once Stephanie found out it was my birthday. Thank you so much, will definitely be back!

i have been here a couple times over my years of visits. Overall I would highly suggested the Railbridge Bistro. It has wonderful views and good staff. You can even catch yourself staying late to play bar trivia and end up leaving with a gift certificate! The also have a little store area where they support local artists. The theme of the restaurant is the history of the firth of forth bridge. the menu has a good selection and their deserts are awesome!

Went here for dinner and was not disappointed.... there were 3 of us and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Steak and Ale pie was beautiful, full of tasty, tender chunks of meat , l had the cheeseburger which was one of the tastiest burgers l have ever had, the other person in our party had the Italian chicken.... also very well cooked and tasty... attentive staff but not overly so and reasonably priced. And of course you have the view of the bridges... we were there at night time so they were lit up making it more special... l would definitely recommend this place and will most certainly return one day...

We called in for a drink having been on the maid of the forth boat trip. It was a beautiful day and we sat out on the generous terrace at the front of the venue. There’s a little train in a model bridge at the front of the venue which was really entertaining. Service was great and unfortunately I left my jacket behind on the chair and only realised a week or so later - thankfully the staff have found it and have agreed to post it to me which is absolutely brilliant.

Had the great pleasure of eating here this evening, great food, fantastic service, just a lovely place to dine with a view to die for. The young man who served us couldn't do enough to help us, sorry didn't get his name

The food was terrible. The waitress didn’t even comment on the fact that we hardly ate anything. The calamari (5 pieces for £8.95) were rubbery and covered in such a thick batter that they looked more like onion rings. If you want a good meal, avoid this place.
Zsali K — Google review
One of my pet peeves is a food establishment that makes minimum effort on its food and service and uses it's location to 'get away' with the minimum. I had the salmon and cream cheese wrap which lacked cream cheese and filling to the edges. The salad was limp and tired. Service was fast but don't expect a warm friendly greeting or a smile. It was interesting to see staff trying to deter seagulls by trying to spray them with cleaning chemicals too. Do yourself a favour and keep walking along the riverside.
NC H — Google review
We went for a walk around South Queensferry and chose this restaurant as it looked nice from the outside with amazing views. I had side salad and the risotto. My husband had steak pie and chips. The food was nice. The reason for 4 stars is because the Steak Pie and chips was £22 and it was the smallest steak pie we have ever seen. Now there was a half portion on the menu for £16 I can only imagine the size off that. The staff were really friendly but we did wait ages to be served and I had to ask someone to order our food. There is room for improvement and this could be a 5 star.

We’re here 3-4 times a month Never disappoints Came in today for brunch and was served by Allan, lots of banter, very pleasant and professional hospitality. Today’s chef was Colin, breakfast was a full breakfast and a veggie breakfast absolutely delicious the plate was full and didn’t need to eat for the rest of the day. If your passing call in you won’t be disappointed we go that often we practically have shares in the place.

What an amazing place to have dinner, great food, spacious and great views on the UNESCO recognized Forth Bridge (as well as the other 2 bridges), parking appears to be free (and allowed) as long as there is no cruise ship docked nearby in the morning (the evenings seem to be free always). The menu has a good selection of very tasty food. They are a dog friendly place, they even have some free snacks for the doggies. Note: you have to order food at the bar, but this is not an issue at all. Overall great place would highly recommend, especially to escape from the busy streets of Edinburgh.

1019/2025 We visited today for a late lunch. We were greeted and seated immediately in the bar area. The ambiance is cozy. You make your decision for food and order at the bar. The food comes out piping hot. Great tomato soup for a starter. Chicken parmigiana had bacon, which is new to us, but the flavor added is tremendous. Our other main dish is the Sunday Trio (roast beef, pork belly, and turkey) with glazed parsnips, thyme roasted carrots, herb potatoes, seasonal greens, and all the gravy one wants. This dish is exquisite. It came with a small Yorkshire pudding. This is a first for me, but the pudding was quite good.

We always wanted to return here after a great stay over 25 years ago, the hotel has improved much over the years, lovely separate dining areas serving good but pricey pub grub. Rooms are fine ,ours had a view of the Forth bridge but was small and dark,( family room?) and bore no relation to the photo on the hotels own site , from which we booked direct. As expected there is a lot of train noise which we soon got used to and stops around midnight, however beware if you have a room at the front of the hotel, the local youths like to use the road outside as a race track from their souped up hatchbacks over all 3 of the night's we stayed so overall not really a relaxing stay!

Came here for tea after my mother in law recommended this has she audits mitchell and butler hotels and restaurants in Edinburgh. Well were do I start...the service or lack of it was very poor. I had the pate for starters, no complaint it was really nice but didn't come with butter. My mains came out before my starters had been taken back. I ordered the fish cakes and that came with crushed new potatoes and a brown shrimp sauce. My potatoes were cold which was disappointing as I tasted the fish cakes and they where good. Told the waiter about my food being cold. He took my meal back to the kitchen and within a minute the same dish came back very hot and it was clear it had been put in the microwave. You cannot reheat fish in a microwave. I worked in restaurants for 10 years to know you do not reheat fish in a microwave. Very unsafe practice.

Queens Spice Indian Restaurant is a delightful haven for lovers of traditional Indian cuisine, particularly known for its Punjabi specialties. Named after the renowned Queen of Spice, Noor Jahan, this charming eatery boasts a warm and inviting decor that enhances your dining experience. With over thirty years of expertise in Indian cooking, the chef crafts an array of classic dishes like chicken tikka, chicken korma, and lamb that are sure to satisfy any palate.
We came here on a Thursday evening about 7 PM. We were immediately seated in a lovely window table. The host was very pleasant and that pleasant attitude continued throughout the evening. We love Indian food, and we’re curious to see how this place stacked up against others that we had visited while on vacation in the UK. It did not disappoint. We started with the appetizer plate and samosas. However, we did order our at the same time. We took our time chatting and munching, unwinding after a day of sightseeing. I was surprised when the host came over after 15 minutes or so, and said that there was no rush, and to simply let him know when we wished to have our mains. My wife and I tend to be eaters especially when we are on vacation because we like to save the moment. It was really great to see that attitude reflected in this restaurant. I let him know that we were ready for our main courses, and they were brought out within five or 10 minutes. Everything was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. Other than the samosas, we decided to order things that we had never had before. I wish I had taken pictures of the Menu because I forget the exact name of the lamb dish. It was something like lamb and green sauce. It was made with green bell peppers and coriander and was stunning. The heat level was very low and that was just fine. At times we do like our Indian food super hot, but this was delicious just as it was served. The Palau rice was on point and fluffy. And the suggested side of mushroom Aloo was scrumptious and also new to us. The garlic non-was abundant and perfectly prepared. Don’t hesitate to stop in here for a meal or book a table. The food and the service combined for a beautiful evening experience.

Dined here two days ago in a group of 14. Food was bang average but was absolutely astounded when the waiter dropped a quarter of the naan bread on the floor, picked it up and put it on the table in front of us... he didn't even try and disguise the fact he just left it on the tablecloth walked away! I can only imagine what goes on in the kitchen if this is the kind of behaviour that occurs in front of paying customers. Needless to say, wont be going back.

Worse fish & chips i ever ate in my entire life. My cat eats fresher than this. Had the day out a S Queensferry. Bought 2 fish n chips looked very nice with the batter on, bit into it and believe me please, the fish was last week's at best!!I I work professionally with fish for 20 years i handle tons of fresh haddock every day. I know old haddock when I see and taste it, hence it went in the bin. Thought I'd do the guy a favour by calling him up to let him know the fish was old, so he could maybe complain to his supplier.told him I live far away so I didn't expect any refund, just wanted him to know how old it was. So his reaction was to shout down the phone at me at how great and fresh his fish is. Cursing the lot. All while i tried to be amicable, eventually losing it to tgis rude guy, This just tells me that this guy knows the crap he sells and doesn't care. How delusional and rude this guy is and he thinks us customers are stupid and brainless enough to believe him, WARNING EAT HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK, Nice batter covers a multitude of sins.

Just had two fish suppers at 2.40pm, 25/07/25. Not good at all. I specifically asked for the fish to be cooked fresh to the counter lady as there I could see 4, 5 portions sitting in the hot box. I thought I was waiting for the fish to be freshly cooked when I was told to wait by someone who appeared to be a boss. I waited for about 15 - 20 minutes and I wasn't happy at all when I saw the other male employee grabbing one of the fish from the hot box that had been sitting there at least since I walked in. I asked for the fish to be cooked fresh and this man insisted that the fish was cooked "today". I thought I'd just cancel it and walk away but no refund was possible because I paid using contactless. The guy who was serving me wasn't happy and it showed on his face as he hastily "dumped" the chips back in the chip box. He asked me to touch the fish to prove it was "freshly" cooked. Easier for them to say. As a customer we don't know how long they'd been sitting in the hotbox. I eventually got my fish freshly cooked but still it was well below par. The batter was really flat and chips were soggy with grease. I know S Queensferry is very popular with tourists and this place relies on passing trade. I'm not a tourist and am relatively local to S Queensferry. I don't think I'll come back to this establishment.

Portion was impressive but it was the worst fish and chips I've ever had. Really disappointed. I chucked it in the bin as I wondered how many days old the food was. There was no crisp to the batter, it was slightly chewy, and the chips tasted old too. I suppose when you serve tourists, you don't depend on repeat custom.

Got a standard fish and chips , a portion of fritters and a can of irn bru...came to just under 20 quid...should have given my money to the lifeboats instead. Lukewarm greasy chips...soggy batter and rubbery tasteless fish, clearly not fresh...fritters definitely a refry...greasy and hard to eat..most went in bin... The place being empty should have been a red flag!!! as the town was jumping with people. Wish I'd read other reviews before I went... certainly won't be back.

Nestled in a picturesque setting, The Inchcolm Inn is a modern pub that exudes a creative and bohemian charm with its exposed brick walls. This spacious venue not only boasts an inviting beer garden but also welcomes furry friends with a special dog menu. Guests rave about the delicious food offerings, from juicy cheeseburgers to mouthwatering Sunday roasts prepared by passionate chefs who take pride in their craft.
A pretty location with some great offerings in terms of food, the Haggis Bon Bon, Seabass and Haddock were all excellent. Some might object to the veggies not being cooked through, but I like'em with a little bite to them. The desert (apple crumble) was also quite tasty.

Lovely place! Friendly & welcoming staff and a nice chilled atmosphere it is a nicely decorated, large pub with plenty of seating and the outdoor garden area is beautiful. The food was incredible and I highly recommend 👌🏼

Had the most amazing fish and chips for lunch along with delicious cheesecake and coffee with my friend. Was expecting the bill to be pricey but it certainly wasn't!!! We had the most amazing view too with a stunning rainbow right outside the window 😍🌈 Will definitely be back 😍

Extremely overpriced for what you get. £13:95 for two slices of gammon, one large potato cut up, half a carrot and small amount of gravy. We asked for extra gravy and was presented with something the size of the small salt shaker. The food was tasty however the Yorkshire puddings were frozen and not home made, at this price you'd expect better. Previous reviews and photos mislead us to inchcolm. The waitresses we had were really nice and served us quickly. Just a shame the quality and quantity wasn't matching the price of the meal.

Visited as a party of 12 and the place was pretty quiet. The food took over 35 minutes to be served and the quality was pretty poor. The nachos which I had was a generous portion but lacked cheese, let's call them 'naechees' instead. Pretty dry all round and the pulled pork on top was not fresh. Wouldn't rush back to this place for food.

Friendly service, spacious pub with beer garden and they are dog friendly- check out the dog menu !! Solid choices of food - we had the cheeseburger, which was juicy and well seasoned, covered in melty cheese and great burger sauce. Sunday roast is unmissable so went for the beef option and it was just really good, honest food cooked by chef who clearly likes his job. All components of the meal were nicely seasoned and cooked. Plenty of veg and rich gravy, Yorkshire pudding cripsy and airy, this is definitely something to check out. Pay them a visit when you’re in the area

Genuinely excellent, fresh, interesting food. Good portions, well priced, friendly staff, can't complain at all. Totally recommended.

The Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, which made a great first impression. The pub is meticulously clean and the atmosphere was very relaxed. Lovely place to sit, chat and just be. I had the Rigatoni in 3 Cheese Sauce which was absolutely perfect! Creamy, velvety! The cocktails are highly recommended too! Dog Friendly too...!!! Highly recommended!

Dakota Edinburgh | Bar & Grill offers an elegant setting for enjoying refined Scottish cuisine, including breakfast, vegan options, and Sunday lunch. The restaurant is known for its delicious fillet steak and halibut dishes. Guests have praised the excellent filet steak and venison meals. The restaurant's stylish ambiance makes it a great choice for treating guests or enjoying a client dinner. Additionally, the vegetarian breakfast and eggs benedict are highly recommended by patrons who have visited this establishment.
Incredible meal celebrating our wedding legalities! Jack and Lewis really looked after us the entire evening and made our meal extra special. The food was spectacular. Amazing all round!!!

I personally had the pork starter, which was truly amazing, followed by the steak with chips and peppercorn sauce, which you could certainly taste. We did get our starter before the complimentary entre, which a staff member did apologise to us about. Slightly gutted they ran out of peroni on draft but did get to sample another beer before buying, which was nice. Would I go back again? Definitely.

We were really looking forward to trying this restaurant as we were staying at the hotel, but sadly it was quite disappointing. We don’t mind paying for good food, but it just wasn’t anything special for the price. The steak (£25-34£) came with no sides at all – which, considering the portion and the cut, felt a bit ridiculous and poor value. We had to add chips (£5), which were just plain and nothing special, as well if we wanted a sauce for the steak we paid an extra 4£. We didn’t realise sides or the basic beef sauce weren’t included until we were already seated, and by then there’s not much you can do – so we ended up paying almost £40 to 45£ for a steak with chips. To be fair, we had the steak tartare as a starter and it was really tasty – that was the highlight. As well waitress seemed that she had a bad day because she looked a bit annoyed when I simply asked if the water bottles were individual or a big bottle, which didn’t make us feel very welcome. On the bright side, the rest of the staff were lovely, during the breakfast, and the hotel itself was fantastic. We’ll definitely stay again – just not for dinner next time.

My husband and I had dinner at this highly rated restaurant. Despite good reviews, the food I had was terrible. I ordered linguine with crab meat and Caesar salad. I paid over 30 pounds for just the noodle, butter, and a little bits of breadcrumbs on the top. And the Caesar salad had no flavor except the weird fishy taste. This is by far the worst food I have ever had. Why would those so-called chefs prepare food like these and expect the customers to enjoy. What a disappointment!

Lovely restaurant in a fantastic hotel. Our only meal here was breakfast and our full Scottish breakfast is excellent. Breakfast was also well done. In the evening the restaurant and bar are packed. This is obviously a place to go. Prices good. Attentive and professional staff.

My wife and I stayed here with my daughter as a last minute getaway. We were so impressed by this hotel, right from the minute we walked in to the moment we left everything was perfect. The staff are so friendly and attentive to us it was a brilliant experience. We booked an executive room and the decor was really well finished and spacious enough for the three of us. We also used the restaurant and the food was so good. The Fillet steak was cooked to perfection and so tender. The scallops were delicious. We also stayed for breakfast and it was awesome too. All in all we are glad we chose the Dakota and would have no hesitation in booking it again for another night soon. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so welcoming.

A great hotel that never dissappoints! Impeccable service, spotless rooms; warm cozy low light ambience throughout which was lovely and felt premium. Plenty of parking spaces. Sign up their loyalty scheme and book directly for the best and exclusive prices. Jack at reception was very attentive, knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Queensferry village and viewpoints to the three bridges are very close by. Great amenities, fresh linen, multi USB ports by the bedside and great shower. Plenty of parking spaces available and the food was exquisite. Will certainly return!

We had an evening meal as part of our overnight stay at the Dakota. It was absolutely fantastic, and staff were very attentive. We wouldn't class ourselves as fine diners but we really enjoyed what we had. Would recommend and we would go back here for a treat.
