Beautiful venue for a wedding with stunning grounds, you are also allowed up on the very top for wedding photos. Just a note there are no toilets in the actual castle, if you get cut short there’s a good 2 minute walk to the toilets just near the exit of the grounds. Today’s couple had drinks and a very light afternoon tea in the garden outside, the weather was glorious.
National Trust description says it all: a fine example of medieval brick built castle. Information on site all up to usual NT standards. Good views from roof and battlements. An hour probably enough to explore and take in all the history. Easy to find, good parking and a fine church within the grounds.
We are Royal Oak Members who partner with National Trust, so we try to visit as many of their properties as we can when in a certain area. This one was a real gem. Parking was easy with a well marked lot nearby. The walk to the top is relatively easy, as the hand rail is actually formed into the wall, making grasping it easy. The steps are not steep, and one can stop on each floor to learn about the rooms, windows, and fireplaces and their significance. The Great Tower has been in the possession of the trust since 1925 and is very well maintained. On a brilliant day, the views from the top are magnificent. Well worth the effort of climbing to the top.
Absolutely amazing place - made even more special as it was a bright sunny day and the views from the top were fantastic. Beautiful grounds too. The church next to the castle was impressive!
What a stunning place!!!! So much history on the walls!! Over the years people have carved their names into the stone work!! I think the earliest is C15th!! Beautiful rooms , and a genuinely amazing story how this gorgeous building was saved from ruin!!!! One of my favourite NT locations!!! Wonderful views from the roof top!!! Xx
Definitely worth a visit, lovely castle. Great views from the top, welcoming staff and very informative staff too at the entrance and in the castle. Fun games for kids to play on the grass too.
A fantastic day out at Tattershall Castle. £10 entry if not paying gift aid and £11 if paying gift aid. 149 steps to the top of the Castle for fantastic views of local areas. Here is the link to the national trust site with all the history about Tattershall Castle. https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/nottinghamshire-lincolnshire/tattershall-castle/the-history-of-tattershall-castle Would 100% recommend a visit here.
Tho only red brick castle seen by me so far. It doesn't seem big at first, but there is a lot to explore. Grounds are dog friendly but you will not be allowed in the castle with dog. You can plan to have here a picnic as I have seen lots of picnic benches around.

Took my 15 month old granddaughter, who has just started walking ,she never stopped. She absolutely loved it,she could get close, touch and feed several different types of animals.Thought it was excellent value for money as there's so much to do and see.Had lunch in the cafe which was good and not to expensive. All the animals looked well looked after and content.Had to call in the gift shop for a souvenir, which did not seem to expensive and she loves the toy animals. Will definitely be back in the summer as it's a great day out.
This place is incredible! The best farm, play park, soft play we have ever been! I would highly recommend this place as there’s soo much to do it’s excellent. Lots of in door places to have fun if the weather turns, and soo much to explore outdoor too. Not forgetting the wonderful animals you can see and feed! The ice cream van has so many gorgeous items on the menu! Lots of picnic areas outside to enjoy in the sunshine. A wide selection of play toys, tractors and go karts (go karts you have to pay for) there’s also some lovely sound gardens where you can create sound by tapping on the metal plants! We had such a lovely day out thank you, and will be visiting again soon.
Not a bad place at all, our only issue was the thunder flies they were horrendous we were absolutely covered in them, the place itself though great to see animals up close and it was nice and quiet as it wasn't a peak time, all the animals are friendly they LOVE the food some of the sheep's are chunkys haha Staff were friendly, don't expect a whole day out of it as it's quite small just depends how long you are with each animal I guess, the reptile bit is a nice addition, falconry section is cool that eagle is a beast! The owl was proud he got his food he was loving it Great for kids to meet the animals they see in fields all the time, gift shop my Mrs was obsessed with there was melts they were really good and smelt good the rest of it you might wanna blindfold your kids on the way through or your bank balance might suffer
6/5 stars, indoor activities for the little ones was amazing. The soft play and a separate toddler play with a huge selection of toys is the best I have seen. Didn't get to see the birds fly but wont complain. Only downside was the price of food. For a cafe style it was way over priced. Did get to see a reindeer that seemed to love people and the small reptile enclosure was a very nice touch. If I lived local I would 100% get an annual pass.
The farm is a lovely place for families, with friendly animals and clear signs of care such as enrichment for pigs and goats, plus wonderful bird shows that prioritise animal choice. However, it is not set up for very hot days. Many animals, especially woollier sheep & cold-climate birds, were clearly overheating—breathing heavily, shaky, lethargic, and with little escape from the heat. One pair of small sheep were in distress, with one foaming a bit at the mouth, shaking, and breathing rapidly. The first staff member I asked only swapped their water and left them in the same condition. Thankfully, another staff member—an approachable, friendly lady with pink highlights—moved them into the shade where they became much more active. She was fantastic and clearly passionate about the animals. It was incredibly saddening I had to ask more than one person before they were properly helped. Some enclosures had minimal shade or shelter, and one heavy-wool sheep pen had no visible water source other than a small sink. The animals there hadn’t moved all day and were breathing heavily, which did not seem suitable for the conditions. While most animals appeared well cared for in general, the lack of adequate cooling or shade during hot weather is a serious welfare concern. I hope the farm considers adding more shade, indoor access, or seasonal care (such as shearing before heatwaves) to help prevent heat stress. The activities, playgrounds, and variety of food options were excellent for visitors, but better hot-weather care would make the experience far better for both animals and guests. The videos show the small sheep who was struggling & the enclosure with the lack of water + escape from heat.
A really enjoyable day with a visit to the farm and pumpkin patch! Lots to see and do, very clean and ample places available to eat! Lucky to have the farm on our doorstep ☺️
TL;DR - Excellent value for money, lots to see and do, excellent animal welfare. One of the things I appreciate most about Tattershall Farm Park is that it is one of the rare places in the country that allow you to have a fun family day out without breaking the bank. It is very thoughtfully priced here; even the plentiful onsite cafés are well priced and the food quality is very good. Entrance tickets are really good value for money - there is so much to see and do here it really is a wonderful day out. It is clear that animal welfare is a priority here - all exhibits are a good size and all the animals get let out daily. All exhibits clean and tidy and food water is kept in good supply for them. We went on a lovely hot summers day in August and there was plenty of shade in all of the exhibits, both natural shade from trees/rocks and man-made in the form of shelters. I disagree with the comments from another viewer that it is inappropriate for the animals when it is sunny; this just simply isn't true. And for her to say she was concerned that some of the animals were "breathing quickly" is an unqualified observation - firstly, most animals have different repiratory systems to humans and breathe differently to begin with. Secondly, when it is very hot it is a natural response to breathe quicker than when it is cold. I have zero concerns about animal welfare here. Infact, I have never been to a farm park or even a zoo where animals have had as well-sized exhibits as here. If you are even remotely local this is well worth a visit and worth travelling to. Some things to see and do include; Sheep, Goats, Horses, Ponies, an exotic animals exhibit including Lizards, Snake, Bearded Dragons and Tarantulas, Birds of pray exhibits and falconry display, Meerkats, inflatable obstacle course, various playgrounds and adventure playgrounds, indoor soft play area, indoor sand play area and more.
We visited on the 25th October for the twilight pumpkin pick. This is the second time we've come along, taking an hour each way to travel. The staff/team put on an amazing FREE entrance event. It's a brilliant evening for both children and grown ups. There's lots to walk around and do with photo opportunities scattered around and a maize maze to walk around. Rides, food and drinks. Just make sure you wrap up as it can get a little chilly in the evening. The pumpkin prices go by the weight of the one you pick. Can't wait to go back again next year.

A great base for a long weekend and we were treated to glorious sunshine! Beautiful surroundings to walk in and walking distance to the village and castle. Ideal base for laughs and drinks with friends. Reasonable price to find the right lodge, we were really happy with it. We stayed in bunting lodge.
Had a nice week here. We landed lucky with the weather. We stayed in a comfort lodge which was ok but a little tired. A smart tv and bigger double bed would be nice. Lovely site with lots to do to keep children entertained The food and drink here is way over priced for what you get. My advice is to eat out. WiFi isn't good unless you pay extra which I feel should be included in the price you've already paid. Bit of a scam. Lovely area with plenty of walks and wildlife. Some really interesting RAF aviation places nearby, if that's your thing. Also get a free airshow every day with the Typhoons flying overhead
Had a lovely week here. Great place to visit especially if you love planes. Now a lot of people have put reviews on here slating the place and the staff but honestly when I went it was great and the staff were lovely. This site is huge and full of beautiful caravans don't believe everything you read in reviews. Don't take my word for it go visit for yourself.
Tattershall Lakes Country Park is absolutely fantastic! The whole place is beautifully maintained with so much to do for families and couples alike. The lodges are clean, modern, and really comfortable, and the facilities are excellent, from the pools and activities to the entertainment and lovely walks around the lakes. The staff were welcoming and helpful, making everything feel easy and relaxed. We had such a memorable stay and can’t wait to return. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing getaway!
I've given 2 stars because the staff entertaining the children were excellent. But I was quite dissappointed with the place. We booked a Tribeca caravan, which was lovely, except for some of the problems we had with it. The Wifi was problematic at first but they eventually sorted it out - some better instructions would have helped, not just with linking the TV but also other things like knowing what the controls were on the dishwasher. The most dissapointing thing was it hadn't been cleaned properly. The kids bedroom had dog hair all over the carpet, and smelled quite strongly of dog. When we complained they did send someone to hoover, despite me being there, she did miss bits, and i guess we just had to live with the dog smell. A big selling point to us was the aqua play being on site, we had planned to take our 1 and 2 year old to that regularly as something to do after their midday naps. However, they closed it off at 2:45, so we would have had to rush over, really dissapointed they couldn't open it a bit longer. There were other issues, like the outdoor pool hardly ever being open, 1 hour wait on food in the spitfire bar. It's got a fair amount of amenities, but not a great deal for toddlers, could do with some more toddler appropriate play areas, a soft play would make a big difference. But I wouldn't go back.
Very nice site, however the entertainment room was smaller than expected considering the size of the site. Lots to do on site for adults and children. Went in late October and really enjoyed the area. We went out to see loads of interesting places, air museum and castle. Not too far from Skegness had a full day there.
It's an amazing place especially if you book with a lake view and a hot tub, life doesn't get any better. Great entertainment for kids and adults. Drinks are a little pricey, and book early before you visit for activities such as swimming as always fully booked and can be quite disappointing fir the children.
We had a lovely time here, the staff were all so friendly and helpful…we had a puncture while we were there and security were always ready to help. The caravan was nice and clean and the hot tub was a great addition. The pool and activities were all really good too. Would definitely go back

The most interesting visit. The staff went out of their way to help me with information about one of my relatives. Great tearoom with the best cake 🎂. So much for such a little place.
Upon my visit unfortunately the visitor was closed but I managed to take some pictures from the gate outside. When it’s open I will definitely be coming to visit properly.
Extremely humbling experience. Incredibly peaceful. Run by volunteers who have lots of passion. However, I feel this memorial site needs additional funding ( think lottery or RBL) to give the outside objects some TLC and restoration to prevent further decay. Well done volunteers, you do a fantastic job!
Thank you to all at Thorpe Camp. A fantastic museum and a credit to the volunteers. Thoughtful and well laid out displays on many aspects of 20th century history, mainly WW2. Volunteers very helpful and friendly many in period costumes. Delighted to see a display dedicated to the Home Front British Resistance Organisation (Stay Behinds) Easy parking, Dog friendly.Highly recommended
Absolutely loved it. Such a lot to see. Weather was terrible and I was struggling with my arthritis. They loaned me a mobility scooter so it was really accessible. Nice hot drink and really lovely volunteers. From the man who was on the reception to the tea room they were all fantastic. I would love to visit again.
What a fantastic day out the volunteers were very knowledgeable and friendly. Nothing was to much so you enjoyed your day out. Also they made my little Dachshund very welcome to. Lots of treats, water and lots of attention. Will definitely be visiting again. A big shout out to the staff x
Fabulous place, lots of information and the staff (all volunteers I believe) are welcoming and knowledgeable. As a bonus its dog friendly, great for the whole family
Wonderful museum with many artifacts and replicas. A bit emotional in places. On lovely flat ground and the staff helped with the loan of an electric scooter due to my needing a wheelchair. The site was easily accessible within a peaceful setting

Nice national trust property, plenty of seating in grounds .small shop .
Didn't see any bats whilst visiting but there is plenty of evidence of their presence. The large entrance door is riddled with woodworm. Without doubt this church must have looked quite magnificent as the large windows provide huge amounts of natural light in and the interior, whilst quite plain and simple, is very well designed and airy.
As another reviewer mentioned. Great ladies serving tea and cake. Unfortunately, bat or rat droppings everywhere. Absolutely infested with droppings. We didn't notice near the cafe area but venture around the lovely church and you notice it. Not safe for the public. Please sort this out. Bats can live in bat boxes. There are solutions!
Quiet a large Church with one stained glass window and some extremely old brass rubbings that are significant. It is open every day and during school holidays has tea & cakes. Parking is in the National Trust car park and next door is Tattershall Castle which is definitely worth a look.
Before going to Tattershall Castle for the day we popped into the Church, from the outside the church itself was impressive, as were the grounds. On entering we were greeted by a charity shop/jumble sale, most items being past their time for reuse. The cafe within the church was lovely, plenty of tasty treats, & the ladies serving were welcoming. Unfortunately the whole experience was made worse by the unhealthy environment within the church, thousands of bat droppings everywhere!
Great church that should be more of a local attraction than it appears to be. Up 1000 resident bats, Tom thumbs grave and great coffee and cakes. If you are staying at the holiday park next door you can easily walk to this gem of a church.
My goodness, this church looked lovely from the outside but I was so shocked when we went inside. It was a jumble of all sorts of things, didn’t look like a church at all, and it was plastered with bat droppings. I’m astounded that people are allowed to visit. There must be some health issues associated with 1000+ bats.
Sad to see so many bad reviews just because of some bat droppings. Even somebody saying they should be removed and given a box to live in. Absolutely shameful. People should be happy that nature is thriving in such a place, they are Gods creatures after all.

Great place for adults and kids. Clean accommodation and plenty to do, especially if you like fishing.
There are no free places for the pool and other activities. The reservation system on the website wants better.
My 2 sons had a great time so much fun and laughter but I was informed absolutely exhausting, the weather was hot and they chose not to have wet suits after a few falls in the water I think they wish they had .
What a lovely setup. Had a van on the willows, near the carp lake, didn't fish but their there. Van was lovely, cheap for 6 of us, great facilities for kiddies and adults. Food and shop ok, bit pricier but decent. Overall a great experience
My 15 year old son had his first wakeboarding lesson over the weekend with Just Wake. His instructor Tom was brilliant. Within 10 minutes my son was up on the board and by the end of the session he was covering an impressive distance for a beginner! Looking forward to returning, thank you.
So much fun! Done a few activities here and worth the money 100% definitely a summer full of fun
Great fun lots of areas to go on so never stood around waiting. Lifeguards stationed around the areas keeping watch over everyone, so never any problems. Almost wore the 11yr old out, definitely didn't need longer than the 45mins. Well worth the money had a fab time.
Brilliant!!! We took part in several activities 1. Aqua Park 2. Monster SUP (multi person paddle boarding) there was 6 of us. 3. Double kayaking All great fun, easy hire of any kit needed at reasonable extra cost too. Use of lockers at £10 deposit of return of padlock you get £9 back. Just a heads up complete your consent form before you get there will save you loads of time as there is a 7 min vid, you will need to do one for each person participating. Overall a well organised, friendly water park highly recommended.

Fantastic safe place. Owners look after you and struggling to find anywhere that matches the scenery and the fish all lovely
Nice surroundings. £10 for a day ticket or £20 for an overnight session. This fishery is in my opinion over fished. There are no restrictions or closure for when the fish are spawning. The three days that we were there, the lake was packed full of carp anglers with two or three rods and bait boats. It's about an acre in size and I counted 12 anglers one day which for a lake this size is too many.
Good lake cought a few carp. 10lbs to 15lbs 3oz
Good venue for a day's fishing, some decent sized fish and plenty of lakes to choose from, only downside was la know toilet facilities nearby.
Nice quiet lake Can park close to swims with very little walking Has a toilet Good size carp
Very nice place bottom lake which is harder then the top lakes with a farm in the middle carp are in good condition well run venue £8for two rods well worth it
I have to say I loved fishing there and will do again but the toilets there are disgusting no running water toilets filled with poo and maggots, no toilet roll, no locks on the toilets and the door is left open for everyone to see and it stinks.. and the thing that made me laugh literally was the sign on the wall saying please leave toilets clean and tidy hahahahaha think they need to open there eyes and look at it and do something about it ya can catch any germs or diseases out there
Perfect day with my grandson loved feeding the animals whilst hubby fished and caught his record 18lb carp

It's a generous 3 stars, you will be in and out in 5 minutes. You can park in the market place then across the road and you will find it behind a house. There are a couple of information boards to shed light on it. A few wooden steps down then it's large gravel on the floor. Not worth making a special trip for. Good job it's free
Nice church to visit. Lots of bats pooping on stuff, so their brass is covered up.
Not hidden but easily overlooked, we've visited the castle several times and i'm sure that we have walked passed this little piece of history, glad we found it.
Interesting - try to find Tom Thumb's tiny house nearby - on the roof of another house opposite the Co-op
Great local history and a nice peacefull place to visit good day out if stuck for something to do
A quick visit to see these ruins. Very interesting.

We came yesterday and went on the 2pm tour. Our tour guide was Lou. And she was amazing and perfect! Only me and my partner on the tour which was brilliant but she told us everything and more! She even stopped the tour to see the Typhoons flying no pressure to leave and let us take pictures throughout. Would highly recommend to anyone at all, kids, adults. It’s a perfect place with lovely people. The guy who booked us in was really nice as well. We had read ahead about no bags and booking not being required. So we just turned up and couldn’t have had a better experience. Thank you Lou and keep enjoying those planes and keep the BBMF in operation with your support.
Wanted to visit for years and well worth it. A couple of Spitfires and the Dakota are away at the moment but got to see the Lancaster pushed back in the hanger. Our guide Lou was fantastic, not so knowledgeable about the technical stuff but the stories about the people were tearjerkers, especially the one about Margaret Horton doing the tour when the guide was telling them about her unexpected flight. If you're in the area, make sure you pop in
This is a fantastic place to visit. Spitfires, Hurricane and the awesome Lancaster bomber are based here. You are taken on a tour by a guide who explains in great detail everything about each plane. The information and stories of each plane are remarkable and it makes you realise the importance of these planes and the pilots who flew them. Well worth a visit. Would recommend to all.
A fantastic opportunity, not only to learn more about these iconic planes, and their crews, but also to get up close to them. It helps you to understand the overwhelming conditions that the young pilots and associated crew had to endure, with the odds of survival being very low. Staff are amazing, and very knowledgeable. If you are interested in either history, or even just these planes, it is well worth the time, and £12 entrance fee
Late to review, had a brilliant tour last week with (I think) Colin. I apologise if I have your name wrong sir! He was accompanied by Vivian who was under his wing as a trainee. Colin was fantastic, imparting so much knowledge that I just wanted to record his every word, including answering silly questions from yours truly! Well worth the visit.
Unfortunately the museum was closed for refurbishments and some of the aircraft were away for winter maintainable, however we still had a tour of the hanger. The Dakota was sitting there with several Spitfires and a Huricane in various states of undress. The guide was spot on and I could have listened to him all day.
Great informative tour Priced £12:00 the tour guide was very knowledgeable. There is a cafe, toilets and a gift shop The Lancaster bomber wasn’t there it’s gone to Duxford for 18 months for a refurbishment, Dakota, chipmunk, spitfire to name a few..
If you are into RAF history or military history in general then this is the place to go. Excellent tour guides who are very knowledgeable about the aircraft. Tours last 90 minutes, young kids however may get bored.

Had a really great experience here with my family. Karting with my eldest son. Ok, some people might expect flash karts, but these are great to throw around this track. The owner/ mechanic such a nice guy, very polite. Really good fun recommended 👍
Me and my brother came here for a go karting experience. The gentlemen gave a good briefing and was polite etc, however, the issue we found was that my brothers kart cut out twice within the 15min slot we were allotted, making him lose about half of the laps that he had paid for whilst he waited for staff to fix his kart & bring him a new one. We expected that they would let him go round for abit longer to make up for the lost time however this did not happen. We decided to come back and give it another go with my boyfriend as we thought it was just a one off however it happened again, and was a lot more dangerous this time as there was a lot more people going around the track. The first incident happened about 5 laps in, the engine cut out in the middle of the track where oncoming karts were heading. The staff brought him a new kart after about 3 minutes. The new karts breaks failed on a sharp corner resulting in my brother going full speed off the track and up the hill. Again, he probably did half the laps that everyone else due to no fault of his own and was offered no compensation or extra laps/time. Another major issue was another customers vehicle stopped working with a small child in the back of the kart in the middle of the track and no attempt was made to tell other racers to slow down nearly resulting in a crash. It was horrible to watch!! Based off of my experience, and looking at other reviews this is clearly a regular occurrence and it is my opinion that a serious accident will occur soon if this carries on!
Lots of track space , gear included in price . Karts were very heavy steering , so might be hard for younger ones. Didn’t have much interaction with staff members but they did a great job with getting people back on the track after spin outs and incidents. Paid for the longer experience and was definitely tired out after !
Wouldn’t even give the place 1 star! Absolutely horrific experience! From start to finish, when calling to book there was nothing friendly about the call, took no details when booking so was unsure whether it would even be booked in. When we arrived we waited 15 min at reception and nobody around at all just stood waiting, then when they finally booked us in, there was zero briefing. Luckily it wasn’t the first time karting but still standard procedures are surely to do a full brief before going out onto the track, the staff have no idea of your experience. Out on the track everything seemed okay, then the first kart came back in as he felt something wasn’t right - to find that the “Axel” had snapped in half! Swapped karts and back out onto the track. Throughout the laps the engine cut out numerous times on both karts. The 2nd Kart was the worst for cutting out and then while in the middle of a lap one of the wheels flew off! The karts were double karts with 2 young children in the rear of them. It was an experience that neither them or the drivers should have had to face, but the response from the staff was next to nothing, they didn’t check that they were okay or anything. As a gesture of “goodwill” they refunded the payment for one of the karts but there was no compassion or sincere apology. If we had known prior to going what it would be like we 100% would not have got in the karts and most define not let children! Will never return here and warn people to avoid at all costs!
Terrible experience from start to finish took my son and daughter my son spun out a few times and the Marshall had a go at him he is only 12 and never been karting before myself had a two seater with my daughter in the rear the kart is difficult to handle if you don't pick up speed through out the corners you can't control the kart round also the track is highly rubbered which makes it slippy the tyres has never been changed they are as bald as can be so no traction what so ever the whole experience was disgusting would never go again it has put me off ever trying again.
Good track, however think carefully before bringing kids / teenagers, as karts are very hard to steer compared to other circuits we have visited - my 13 year old crashed at one point due to not having the strength to turn the wheel, and the single member of staff was not great with younger people, making 2/3 kids feel quite uncomfortable due to their approach. More staff are needed for the size of track, as on more than one occasion, it took several minutes to resolve an incident, as the staff member was too far away and took a long time to get to incidents - especially when the staff member was completely out of site of the track. I quite enjoyed my time there, but both my boys did not want to go back to the track again if they had the opportunity.
Absolutely would 100% recommend this place. The staff and the owner are very pleasant. The track and karts are mega. Money well spent at this place , myself and my children enjoyed it. Thank you.
Kart rear wheel bearing collapsed halfway round the first lap. Didn't get another kart. Another lads kart chain fell off. Some of the karts were miles slower than others. The whole set up is shoddy. Still had to pay full price for doing half the laps everyone else did. Wouldn't recommend. Edit. Owners review below is false. There was no female. The kart did not hit a kerb. No further kart was supplied and no further 5 minutes was added. Owner must be talking about another event where his karts have failed, or he's lying. This is obviously a regular occurrence. And as an aside you could drive these karts in a straight line and some would be at half the pace of the others due to how badly they're maintained and thier age. Nothing to do with skill.

A great fishery with a good selection of fishing pools, fish and caters for a number of fishing styles. Had a good day there and would go again in a heartbeat. 11lbs carp, 9 lbs carp caught.
It is a lovely fishery with some great carp but only down side the owner won’t spend money on a decent shower or toilet block facility which would entice people to fish a full week there, the old/new bailiffs are just collecting money and not actually doing any work around the ponds e.g improving pegs or improving tracks in, I have seen plenty of carp come out the lakes that are in poor condition but that said there also fish in really good condition …. Legget put your hand in your pocket and spend some money and improve the place with basic amenities
Been to Bain valley fisheries 4 times now, great fishing on fabulous lakes, facilities are quite basic but Steve and his crew are amazing.
Lovely lakes with great quality fish of all kinds, Pete the bailiff is a great guy, very helpful.
Amazing place even if just for a stroll around. Didn't fish, never really understood it, but pegs seemed well separated and decent size to get up a shelter etc
Great location where you feel great. Beautiful fish lakes, where you can make barbecue.
A nicely maintained fishery that I have frequented over the past 25 years. Steve is a really nice guy and has worked very hard to develop a baron site into the fishery it is now. Unfortunately, the current bailiff is not fit for purpose and at 80odd years old, should be put out to pasture. The man is a lunatic!
Good fishing place. 5 ponds. Big fishes.

Very Lincolnshire! Lindy Hop dancing on the grass, military vehicles display, vintage vehicles, refreshments with no charge just a donation (best Victoria sponge ever). This was an "event" day so don't expect this every time you go! Without the added entertainment this is still a great place to visit. Please support the volunteers who keep it running.
Great visit to a wonderful industrial heritage site!
A great experience with a working steam engine and the diesel engine as well we visited on a open weekend there was cake and tea it's well worth a visit
A little gem of a 'museum' hidden away near Tattershall. This was the last event of this season with a 40s theme. Classic cars, dancing, stalls, little cafe, and, of course, the 'pumps'. Run and maintained by volunteers this is a fabulous place, well worth a visit, and most definitely needs supporting. There are public opening days as well as private tours (school groups, history societies etc). With an interesting history, knowledgeable volunteers, car park (no height barrier), cafe etc - no set admission, request for donations - well worth a visit.
A great museum and good to hear and smell the steam engine as it's in operation. There's a small little exhibition as well that tells the story of the families that operates the pump and of how it all happens. Great to go and see.
An incredibly well preserved piece of heritage. The Open Days are a must, with volunteers who are extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Everything is free - including parking, teas and cakes - but generous donations, necessary to support the charity that is responsible for the site, are encouraged and welcomed.
wrruff wuff :3 my owner took me here and they pumped me rly good ~
Really interesting place with history dating back over 150 years. Very nice cafe, cakes and tea paid by donations.
