Great zoo, highly recommend a visit. Can see most animals very up close. A lot of trees so walking around was nice and mostly in shade. We had food at a kiosk inside the zoo, there were plenty of sitting spots. Spent a nice saturday there.
While our visit was recent, we have enjoyed the Opel Zoo since the early 2000’s. The Opel Zoo is a beautiful zoo that provides up close encounters with amazing wildlife from all around the world. When purchasing your tickets, I highly recommend buying carrots and pellets to feed the animals throughout the zoo. You will need to have euros to purchase the food as credit cards are not accepted for the food. The zoo has a beautiful playground and a ball pit with a slide for kids to enjoy during their time at the zoo. For an additional fee they offer pony rides, trampolines, mechanical swings, and motorbike rides for small children. They have recently added a small area toddler play area that is quite lovely. When you are ready for a meal break, I recommend the restaurant where you will find excellent food and your food will be delivered by a robot, a family favorite. When considering the zoo, you should be aware that the zoo is very hilly with many steep inclines making it a challenging hike. The staff at the entrance as well as in the restaurant spoke English, but the signage for the animals were all in German. Also in the cooler months, we visited in March, most of the outdoor stands and some of the additional activities were closed. All is all we had a wonderful time.
Visited with my daughter who enjoyed her first zoo visit. Zoo is huge, looks better than Frankfurt zoo, very clean toilets and many activities and play areas for kids. Purchased annual ticket to save more.
Fantastic zoo. Free parking. Very nice petting zoo area. Nice atmosphere. Good food choices. I purchased membership right away, because I plan on coming back more than twice. Highly recommend to visit on a weekday. In my opinion, weekends are easy too crowded with all them little kids.
Exploring Opel Zoo was a great experience. It’s conveniently located near my place and offers a pleasant walking experience. There are various opportunities to interact with animals and even feed them carrots.
Please implement online booking system. We were waiting 45 minutes on sunday morning in huge waiting line and with that lost that time inside the zoo which is something that cant be ignored because zoo is opened 8 hours. Everything else was awesomeness. Petting zoo and feeding the animals with carrots as pinpoints of the visit.
I really enjoyed my visit to Opel Zoo! The animals seem to have more space and freedom compared to many other zoos I’ve seen. The enclosures are large and blend beautifully with the surrounding forest, which gives the whole place a more natural and peaceful feeling. It’s a great place to spend a day in nature while also learning about wildlife. Highly recommended!
We always enjoy our experiences at going to the Opel Zoo to see the animals. We were lucky enough to see the new addition to the zoo of the baby giraffe. So cute! There is plenty to do at the zoo besides see the animals. There are playgrounds for small kids and older kids and a small trampoline area.

Restored medieval castle offering guided interior tours, expansive gardens & panoramic views.

Public parking about 7 minutes walk from the castle. It is worth the visit. Tickets must be purchased at the entrance either cash or credit. It costs 6 Euros per person. The garden area is beautiful and gives you a spectacular view of the city and far. They have guided tours and the last one is at 1500 hours and it is $3 Euros more at the entrance. If you missed the time or just do nit want the guided tour, you can easily do it yourself with the well-explained panfleto. I really recommend to visit this historic place.
Not that magnificent but surely beautiful, Kronberg castle. The Prince Garden turns out to be the most memorable spot of the entire castle. It has the view of the entire Kronberg town, and also the entire garden was well designed and maintained. Other than that, the castle itself was empty, not much of history elements was preserved.
A charming medieval castle with a very authentic atmosphere. There isn’t much to see inside, but the view from the tower over Groß Feldberg and the town panorama is priceless. The facilities are very clean (especially the restrooms), and the historical descriptions are well done. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Getting there can be a bit tricky as the castle is not very well signposted in town, but once you arrive, it’s worth the effort. I wouldn’t say it’s a family attraction unless your kids are really into medieval history, but for history lovers it’s a gem.
Great viewpoint. Good place for a quick getaway destination from noisy city. Not like a Versailles, but I could feel the place is looked after & cared by people who works there. Loved it very much. *Watch out the opening hour if you are planning to visit.
We decided to go to the castle after spending some time in Frankfurt. I am so glad that we did. What a lovely town Kronberg is. The castle sits on the hill above the town. Has a great view of Frankfurt, but the grounds are beautiful and the castle is very interesting to view. Make sure you go to the tower!
Loved this ruin. We saw a lot of abbey and castle ruins on our trip to Germany and I liked this one the best. They were unassuming and offered a pleasant surprise around every corner. Hardly anyone else there even though it was summer. The entrance is tucked away in a neighborhood but there’s good signage. On the way, you will find a stumble stone (brass plate on the street) that honors a victim of World War Two. The ruins do not open until 1 pm. There is also an exhibit in the main building but it is only open sometimes and not the day we were there. We could walk into the first room and see a very well done model of the complex. It was started by the Romans and added on/destroyed over the centuries. We were given a paper with the important points in English. The staff also spoke excellent English and there was a tiny gift shop with souvenirs. Outside there are clean restrooms and a few picnic tables. Inside the complex offers amazing view of the city especially from the Roman tower (the square one). The site costs just a few euro to enter. There is a café but it was closed the day we were there. The grounds were beautiful gardens and forest. Well worth the visit to this ruin and to the old city of Kronberg which is an easy 20-30 minute train ride from the Frankfurt Main Station. There is no parking at this location and it is not ADA accessible. Do not confuse this historic location with the Kronberg Castle Hotel. Those are two very different locations.
The castle dates back to 1220 and features 120 steps up the tower for amazing photos. There’s a small museum inside and gallery upstairs, can take elevator. Guided tours are offered, but make sure it will be in English, we had guide explain in both German and English, because large part of people understood only English. Interesting fact I learned in tour: The military salute comes from medieval knights lifting their helmet visors with the right hand to show their faces and prove they were unarmed, evolving into the modern gesture of raising the hand to the head as a sign of respect.
Great place to visit. So much beauty and history. After the castle visit, we stopped at a quaint cafe in the old city for coffee and cake. Was s wonderful Sunday experience.

(Translated by Google) Warning: I advise against buying cinema tickets for Kronberger Lichtspiele online. Firstly, there's an advance booking fee (unlike the advertised one!). Furthermore, you still have to wait at the box office and—hard to believe—get handed a paper ticket. And then—and this is the crucial point—the system doesn't seem to be integrated, because the seats we purchased online were taken (in fact, with the same row/seat information!), and it took two attempts to rebook us to available seats. That's when the digital experience finally ended. What a pity... Schade ...

Cosy nature, lying on the lawn under trees. Still same feeling as 40 years ago.
It was very bad experience with DLRG staff in this place. Swimming poolnis nice and clean. But staff 0/5 for them. They have asked me to move from DLRG bench, as a non German speaker, I was not clear at all about it. Then They were very AGGRESSIVE to me in front of my kid and others. I did not understand a word what they said and I asked police to come. Then Police came they understood the situation, but also said I have to leave because DLRG has Hausrecht. It was a nightmare with their UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF. I have been to Königstein, Oberursel, Bad Homberg and Eschborn Swimmingpools and never had a such a UNCOMFORTABLE SITUATION. The staff in Kronberg Swimming Pool at least some of them has to learn how to treat a person and learn some English. Only thing they say bad words to me.
The Bademeisters in this place are excellent, mastering every situation, nothing escappes them, very good to know that they keep order!
Great pool with a really nice "hill" for sunbathing and relaxing. The thing that makes me remove a star is that they didn't have that many lockers!
Well presented and kept location. One of the best public pools in Ffm. Gets busy on weekend so turn up early.
So clean. The slide and diving boards are available.

(Translated by Google) The Kronberg Painters' Colony Museum is surprising, even in the basement, with its lockers featuring a unique form of locker numbering that links dates and events. The paintings and artworks, spread across two floors, are not only perfectly lit but also provided with background information. The QR codes don't seem to be working at the moment, but otherwise, the exhibition was a testament to the love of collecting, giving landscapes from the surrounding area and artists their own space. Eugenie Bandell's "The Railway Bridge in Frankfurt" showcased local impressions, while also presenting history and development. Paintings by Fritz Wucherer and impressions of French Impressionism are also on display here and are definitely worth a visit. Entry is payable in cash and is €6 per person (€12 for families, €5 for concessions). In addition to stairs, the museum also has an elevator and a restroom in the basement. The art school, where regular courses are held, is also located in the museum (on the top floor). For us, the short trip was really worth it, and I'm glad the weather invited us to visit the museum.

As an industrial designer, this is worth seeing, and if Thomas is there definitely say hi. An amazing collection and so worth the stop!!
What an immersive experience! If you like product design and admire Braun as one of the genious creators in modern design then this place is for you. The entrance is just a few euros, the woman at reception has worked in Braun for many years, she is so knowledgeable and kind she showed me the whole exhibition explaining every single item there. What a wonderful day, thank you for making my visit so special.
This place will stun you with exhibition of all the Braun products from start to till date, with complete details. Once I visited lot of products are new for me as I don't know that Braun produce this items.
The BraunSammlung is a great place for everybody who is interested in the history of design. It was very neat to see how the design of the Braun products evolved. The collection isn't to big (most products are pretty small) but gives a great overview. For me it was also interesting because it shows products which are more or less extinct by now. For example lighters for the table, those seem to have been very popular among smokers. Now that less and less people smoke, those products are no longer relevant.
Was very interesting. However none of the video information worked and the man at the museum reception was not really helpful and had no knowledge of the museum. Nice visit into the past though.
What a great industrial design collection of the past. Those were the days....
A really nice collection

Absolutely love this place! The atmosphere is vibrant and chic, the staff are incredibly welcoming and attentive, the cocktails are out of this world, and the live music adds the perfect touch to an already fantastic experience. Can't recommend this stylish bar enough!
It's a rare bar where you can relax and have a cigar while enjoy live piano music. The atmosphere is cozy and bartenders engage with guests which makes you stay for a drink longer than planned.
Love it. 70 years old bar. Great service and lovely music 🎶 enjoy some time travelling in Frankfurt when you 😁 can
Stunning bar, really classy and old school. The staff was amazing and kind, we loved the drinks and cigar. I recommend it to everyone who likes a drink in an atmospheric bar.
We had a wonderful time, the Bartenders are the most amazing and sweetest!
We had the most magical time at Jimmy's Bar: excellent live music, and a wonderful atmosphere. The cocktail menu is so varied and offers brilliant twists on classics!
Jimmy’s is an iconic classic: a classy bar with history, clubby decor, genuinely attentive service, a Piano Man, and simply exceptional cocktails expertly prepared. And it’s a mature cigar bar - really (plus a food menu coming soon). Drink & Smoke in old world comfort among regulars and a great international crowd at Jimmy’s. Special place… GD

Thank you for the great massage! It was just what I needed.
(Translated by Google) Panida Weiß is an incredibly great masseuse!!!!! I'm not a fan of typical Thai massages (I've had painful experiences with them elsewhere), so my enthusiasm is even greater. She is the first person with whom I feel like I can fully relax and let myself go. I always take an hour-long oil massage, which is strong, sensitive and tailored to me (if I have a "back", she treats it more intensively or if I have neck pain, she takes care of it; if I tell her beforehand "please don't do that spot today" or "don't stretch", she adapts to it individually). It feels like I've been with her forever: once a week, I've even given massages to my mom and friends, everyone has been super happy. There are also many men who come to her. I'm going to give a good friend a massage soon. I will definitely always recommend Ms. Weiß!!!!!!!

(Translated by Google) Unfortunately, with this recession I also meet the wonderful Panida, the masseuse who has given me relief from my pain for many years. She knows exactly what she is doing and adapts her applications individually. I miss her very much. However, I didn't buy a new 10 card because the man in the front office, who manages the bookings and operations, became so abusive before my massage due to my mistake in paying via Paypal and not by bank transfer that I left the practice without further ado (for always) left. Mind you, I didn't NOT pay, I did pay in advance in the wrong way. Now you could simply send the payment back and politely ask me to pay differently in the future, or you could swear around, roll your eyes and repeatedly yell at me about the stupid thing I did (original sound). I didn't know what would happen to me, but I did know that my money would definitely be more welcome somewhere else, however transferred. With a mind like the owner's, I recommend avoiding direct customer contact. To this day I haven't received an apology; they could have talked about it. P.S: Regarding your answer, which, unlike an apology, didn't take long to arrive: Your wife can't remember at all, she was in the treatment room and wasn't even present. She would also never speak to her customers like that. I also can't see where I claimed she said something. CRITICISM is a) inappropriate in this case, if a customer unintentionally makes a mistake, you simply ask them to do it differently in the future. Criticism would always be constructive and not offensive, see your words that I quoted. Of course you don't want to remember it anymore. They've simply made a big mistake in their tone. Even my on-site apology regarding the extra work I allegedly caused you couldn't stop your tirade. Nor does the direct indication that I don't want you to talk to me like that. And all because you had to send back a Paypal transfer, which was completely excessive. By the way, you're asking a whole year too late where you should transfer the amount that you supposedly couldn't book back then... Keep the money, I don't want it anymore anyway.
