This is an awe inspiring trip. The vineyards were carved into the stone on either side of the canyon by the Romans and the harvesting process is still the same. The grapes are gathered by hand and collected in buckets pulled up the steep slopes by cables. The views along the way take your breath away. Don’t miss this!!!
Great small, boat trip with good commentary from Alejandro in Spanish only. The leather seating is really comfortable but best to bring a jumper for the breezes. The trip goes upstream along the dramatic section of the River Sil Canyon passing alot of notable scenic features like steeply sloping wine terraces, rock formations, ancient woodlands, waterfalls and viewpoints. We also saw lots of birdlife like buzzards, herons and a black headed gull. It's 18€ for about an hour with free parking.
Really good plan and very good service , they answer fast , they are flexible ( we had to made some changes ) and always very professional , so recomended !
So good and well worth the money
Great value, small group, very friendly and knowledgable guide, personal attention, 5 star luxury boat.
Excellent trip on a small boat in the 'natural' end of the canon - getting close to historic features like the glacial vineyards and relic stone homes. We sat beside the fabulous skipper who chatted about the dams and their affect on the ecology and culture
Great fun! Beautiful location for kayaking, good quality equipment, excellent communications, fair and honest company
Lovely tour of the steep canyon and the vineyards that line it! Very comfortable!

Very informative visit about the wines from Ribeira Sacra. Learn about it's grapes and it methods of production. Only downside was the group was a bit too big.
What a wonderful experience! Adega Algueira is a family winery, which offers the full experience, from wine tasting, special meal and boat trip along the River Sil. The wine tasting was perfectly arranged and educative too, as they provided extensive information about local grapes, vineyards specificities (in the slope of a mountain), and current wine marketing situation. We very much enjoyed lunch at their restaurant - fresh local food - some dishes with a twist. 😋 We found the river boat tour very pleasing and the steepness of the vineyards was even more impressive through this perspective. All in all, we had a fun, gastronomic and educative experience. Totally recommended! 😊🍷
Amazing winery! We enjoyed several types of wine and the tasting menu. Both fantastic! Wonderful, warm service that makes you feel like family! A must stop!
If you are going to visit one winery in Galicia, make it this one. They are bringing back ancient varieties that are just amazing.
We had a great experience. We chose a la carte but they also have a menu. Regional options using local ingredients and careful preparation. The service was very attentive and helpful. Vegetarians have options too.
Fantastic day, 11:00 a.m. winery tour and tasting with a knowledgeable and engaging hostess, then she recommended a short walk to an amazing viewpoint over the river, followed at 1:30 by probably the best meal we had in Spain and which was paired with wonderful estate produced wines, and finally a river cruise up the Sil River at 4:30. You will not have a better day than this! You will need to book by phone though, I was unable to do it via email or internet.
What a wonderful experience! Small winery with very steep vinyards in the Sil „Canyon“. Impressive how much work has to be done to cultivate the vine there. Not to be misunderstood - the vinery is not located at the River - some 15min drive away. Very friendly staff and Claudia arranged the tasting in a very educative way. They don‘t “only“ have Mencia, but some autochthone grapes as well - loved the white wine! We enjoyed lunch at the restaurant - fresh local food - some dishes with a twist. 😋 We found the river tour on the small boat very pleasing and the steepness is even more impressing through this perspective. Full recommendation 😍 #letsguide
We came across the vineyard on a bike ride and stopped off for a glass of wine. The restaurant was finishing lunch service. It looked really good! We will visit next time. Their wine was great and we returned the next morning to pick up a couple of cases to take back to London. 5 stars for wine. I'll report back on lunch next year!

If ever you find yourself, visiting the wine region of the river Sil in Galicia, then take a detour and come to this spot with the most wonderful views! You will be surrounded by deep canyons and mountain slopes covered in Vineyards. Ample opportunity for wine tasting too.
Views are quite beautiful, its located off of a good road and has a decent size parking lot.
great views time to relax on drives no washroom or tables
Stunning views. Always takes my breath away.
Beautiful place to look to one of the Wonders of the world. Lugo has a lot of spots to observe Miño river from the top and admire its beauty. Worthy to go and explore as much as you can.
Extraordinary views overlooking the Silence valley. Beautiful wineries as well showing the heroic work of the people working here.
Nice views of vineyards

(Translated by Google) We doubted whether the boat or the little train was better, but the truth is that they are totally different experiences!! Both beautiful 💖 💕, the train guide is great!! The xofér a 10!! I was pleasantly surprised by the experience!! See the paths they have to go through to pick the grapes, the views, the forest, the farms and their animals. 100% recomendable 👌
(Translated by Google) We took the cruise through the Sil canyons on the catamaran, and this is another perspective for seeing the viticulture of the Ribeira Sacra, from above and among the vineyards where only the winegrowers pass by. It's a beautiful experience to see in its entirety, and I recommend it. Rafael and Noelia are very friendly and attentive staff. The train takes you from Doade, but there's very little parking. I recommend going early; you can have a drink or eat at the Cantina. Next door is the Regina Viarum winery, and they offer a discount on the visit with the train ticket. If you're just visiting or shopping, parking while on the train would be an option, I think. We bought their wines; they're highly recommended. If someone with reduced mobility is traveling, I recommend calling ahead to make a reservation to ensure access. The train is accessible for people with reduced mobility, except for the last seats.

(Translated by Google) Poor value for money!!!! A train ride along the Ribera Sacra lasted approximately an hour and a quarter, with limited explanations… The best part of the experience was the views from the train and the view of the Sil Canyon. The worst… More than 50% of the tour is inside (without views), seeing the signs for the wineries you pass by… Conclusion: Paying €14 for adults and €12 for children is very expensive for the service offered… There are better options in the area. I wouldn't go back. No volveria
(Translated by Google) Horrible! I rushed to arrive at the departure time (4:30 PM), and they kept us in the full sun for a long time, waiting for a large group to arrive—more than half an hour. You can't reserve a seat, but they seated us at the very end to save spots for that group. The tour lasts less than an hour and costs €14, taking us by road on a tractor disguised as a train with a simple voiceover. I don't recommend it. They have to understand that, even if you're on vacation, you also have other activities planned. (Original) ¡Horrible!

Amazing and quite location with awesome view, isn’t so crowded
Beautiful drive and views! Highly recommended ✌️
Quiet amazing and un spoilt . Relaxing walk, make sure you take plenty of water with you. I went through 3 litres!! The walk I did was a circular (red route) from San estevo to the canyon. Keep an eye out for right angle turns.
By car ,we got to see the viewpoint of the famous Canon del Sil ,curiousity wise we went down the mountain and found the entry point to take the ferryboat ,but first you need to buy ticket each person then proceed to the spot to que in line entering the ferry boat and there you go you can experience to see the beauty of Rebeira Sacra river for 90 mins thats already worth it with its amazing views
This is Spain’s Grand Canyon. On a smaller scale but just as majestic. Take the catamaran tour. It’s 9 euros and almost two hours. The history and views are exceptional.
A very very long river canyon! Take a boat trip to truly appreciate the vastness of the countryside. Sheer walls of history, and many small family vineyards perched precariously on them too.
Absolutely stunning views of Ribeira Sacra, the view from the lookout is gorgeous and was wonderful walking down the hills and going kayaking along the river from there (would recommend booking the kayaking in advance but they were happy for us to do it online at the time, might have accepted cash in person but we didn't have any on us at the time).
Absolutely spectacular. a wonderful corner of Galicia. The visit to the place was on a Sunday and the silence of the area was overwhelming. Ideal for nature lovers!

This bodega is beautiful and the location affords wonderful views. The tour starts with a high-resolution video that explains the history of the bodega and how the grapes are grown & gathered. A knowledge guide takes you through the wine making process at this state of the art facility. A guided tasting follows and you end the tour at the most beautiful terrace in the sky. Outstanding!!!
We did the guided tour with wine tasting. The tour was way over-booked (50 people!) and the guide rushed through generic explanations about wine-making, without focusing enough time on what makes this particular region special or different. We felt that we were we were being rushed through on a conveyer belt, and the amount of people meant that asking questions was a non-starter. Very disappointing compared to other tours we have done in the past. On the plus side the building is beautiful and the setting - perched high above canyon, with spectacular views - made the trip worthwhile.
Absolutely incredible experience, totally recommend it! We took the wine tasting and left learning a few very interesting things. The view is absolutely breathtaking!
What a wonderful experience we had at this bodega! It’s one of the highest in the area, so just the views are impressive, but they also have a very well prepared visit, with a very visual variety of stimuli: from informative panels to a high quality video in an impressive wide screen (although the two projector projection could be better set up). The doors opened up and down automatically letting us in and out of the different spaces of the contemporary architecture, including a room to feel you are inside a barrel of French oak, aging like wine :) We chose the 5-wine tasting and ALL of the wines were at the very least interesting (89 minimum Parker). We loved the rosae, and the mencias. Gema was a great tour guide, not only during the visit but also through the tasting. Careful with your drive back!
We came here for the "wine tour", the winery itself is simply awesome, the place where it is... right on the hill facing 360° view of stunning landscape of sil river gorge. The tour was very nice and not boring, it lasted like 1h and then they gave you free time to enjoy the balcony. Decoration was very beautiful and the guide knew how to do her job, nice girl! totally recommendable, specially in those typical rainy days of Galicia!
Beautiful vineyard with very friendly,,helpful staff. Best to book a tour but we were accommodated without a booking to taste the delicious wines, amazing views
A beautiful winery with spectacular views. Experience great wines of the Riberia Sacre. Top it off with a fantastic meal at their restaurant.
It was a wonderful experience doing the tour of the winery. It's a stunning location and Pilar the Guide was fantastic. I'd highly recommend a visit. The wine is pretty phenomenal too.
