One of the beautiful places in Jamshedpur to visit. The water is very clean. Speed boat facility is also there with Rs 1050 per boat of 6 passengers. Some small temporary shops are there where you'll get juice, cold drinks, tea, and packaged snacks. The water gates of the dam look beautiful.
Dimna Lake is a serene spot surrounded by lush hills, perfect for relaxation and picnics. The best time to visit is winter and post-monsoon when the water level is high. Summer is less appealing due to heat, but mornings and evenings remain pleasant.
Very good picnic spot. You can enjoy with full family. Environment is very good specially on January month. Very much crowded on 1st January and rest sunday of January. You can Cook food here . Boating facility available. Snacks and juice shop available. Free parking available for Two wheeler, four wheeler and even bus .
Beautiful, calm and clean place. Not so far from jamshedpur city. Do visit during Evening. Photos of the stairs is attached, please check it before visiting.
I believe we came to visit in wrong season because water level was very low and can see the ground in some places. Assuming this winter and post monsoon season might be the best time to come here. However, the place is a beauty nonetheless. The seasonal shortcomings failed to fade the charm of this lake. Even though created artificially as part of some industrial requirements however, nature took it upon itself to beautify it.
Natural beauty of this place is very nice . It is also situated beside the Dalma hill . That's why this lake looks so attractive to the tourist. ❤️❤️
This place is absolutely stunning, nestled in the heart of nature. We stumbled upon this hidden gem by chance, and we couldn't be more grateful. It's wonderfully peaceful here, with just a few folks enjoying the shoreline and taking a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear water. The view is simply breathtaking, especially as the sun paints the sky with its mesmerizing colors during sunset. As if that weren't enough, we're treated to the sight of people honing their rowing skills out on the lake. It's an exhilarating experience!
Beautiful and serene place, very nice place for nature lover. Beautiful hills at background of a vast lake. Close to Tata Nagar

Tucked like a gem inside Jamshedpur’s Jubilee Park, the Tata Steel Zoological Park is what you get when a steel city decides to go soft on nature. It's not just a zoo — it’s where roaring tigers and chirping birds rub shoulders (okay, metaphorically) with the spirit of corporate social responsibility. And boy, do they make it work! The Jungle in the City Forget about overcrowded cages and sulking animals. This zoo is more like an open-air luxury resort for wildlife, nestled amidst lush greenery and a picturesque lake. Managed by the Tata Steel Zoological Society (yes, the same folks who give us Corus and cricket sponsorships), the place is a brilliant example of how industry and environment can walk hand in paw. Fun and Furry Facts: - Established in 1994, this is one of the very few privately managed zoos in India — and honestly, it shows in the maintenance. Think manicured lawns, clean enclosures, and animals who look genuinely content (or at least not existentially bored). - The Nature Education Centre is perfect for the budding Attenboroughs — interactive, informative, and sprinkled with enough trivia to make you the cool nerd at parties. - Jayanti Sarovar, the lake inside the zoo, offers boating. Yup, you can row your boat gently past the ducks while monkeys judge your rowing skills from a distance. - The zoo houses over 100 species of animals and birds, from the majestic white tigers and leopards to the adorable otters and macaws. - The Safari Park lets you observe herbivores up close in their “natural” habitat — without needing to channel your inner Bear Grylls. Final Verdict: Tata Steel Zoo is like the lovechild of a wildlife documentary and a Sunday picnic. It’s peaceful, educational, and surprisingly charming. Whether you’re a family with sugar-hyped kids or a solo wanderer with a camera and a dream, this place won’t disappoint.
Station Code: Tatanagar Junction is designated with the station code TATA. 2. Location: It is situated in Jugsalai, Jamshedpur, in the state of Jharkhand, India. 3. Railway Zone: Operated by the South Eastern Railway under the Chakradharpur Division. 4. Opened in 1910: The station has been operational for over 115 years, making it historically significant. 5. Electrification: It was electrified in 1957, enhancing its capacity for handling electric locomotives. 6. Major Rail Lines: Lies on the Howrah–Nagpur–Mumbai main line and connects to the Asansol–Tatanagar–Kharagpur and Tatanagar–Gourmahisani–Badampahar branch lines. 7. Platforms and Tracks: The station has 6 platforms and 8 tracks, accommodating a large volume of trains.
Very nice and huge zoo and a great experience for kids. Can spend all the day. Ideal time to see animals in 11 am to 4 pm, post which they go to their cage for food. It's better if you can walk and roam , they also have boogie cars inside , 400 rupees per car for 8 seats.
Tata Zoological Park is a small but very beautiful and well-maintained zoo in Jamshedpur. The place is clean, peaceful, and perfect for a short nature outing. The animals here look really healthy and well cared for — you can tell by just looking at them that the staff takes great care of their health and surroundings. 🐯🦓 We visited almost near closing time, so many animals had already gone back to their cages for feeding, but it was still a lovely experience. There’s also a good arrangement for visitors who prefer not to walk — 7-seater electric cars are available to take you around the zoo, which is a great facility for families and elderly people. 🚗🌿 Overall, it’s a cute and calm zoo, great for kids, families, and animal lovers. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Jamshedpur! 💚
This place will give a very different experience than any other zoo. You will feel the animals are present at very close proximity. Battery car facility adds more value to it.
Captivating beauties in captivity—where nature’s grace meets quiet wonder. A glimpse of the wild’s finest at Tata Steel Zoological Park, Jamshedpur.”
The park was just average. in my honest opinion not well maintained the animals are not that healthy or energetic. Lots of people are eating outside food in the park and thrashes are thrown carelessly. getting vehicle tours is a long and time taking process but the drivers are good and very helpful. the fees are affordable.
Good experience after long time I have been there and enjoyed a lot . Try to go early morning or after 12 because most of animals are having food so you can't see them close enough .

Hilly nature area known for its elephant population, forested hiking trails & Shiva temple.
Slide 1 of 8
I would still rate it 5 stars because of the pristine beauty and the clean surroundings. The lush forest ensures the survival of animals and the pathway is amazing for hikes in the morning. Just one tip-i know there's a shop just at the ticket counter but a lot of people come in the morning from far away. So it would be awesome if water and some food items like biscuit or egg and bread is sold for the visitors
The forest offers a perfect blend of adventure and serenity. The drive through the winding hill roads is scenic and thrilling, especially with occasional wildlife sightings. The lush greenery, fresh air, and panoramic views from the hilltop are a treat for anyone seeking a break from city life. One of the highlights is the Sunrise Point, where early morning visitors can witness a breathtaking sunrise above the misty forest. There are also watchtowers and trekking trails for those who love to explore on foot.
Such a disappointed visit !!! Since the animals were aggressive the safari’s are closed for the time being. The museum was also closed. They allowed to take our car inside and the fees for car was 600/- and then per person 10/-. The only thing we are supposed to do was go till the top of the mountain to see the temple and the view from there, which we didn’t proceed after travelling few kilometres inside. Types of Deers kind of became sight of sore eyes 👀. Parking space available and small food and drinks shop is also there. I could see samosa and some other fried items were also there. Lavatories are available too.
We spontaneously planned a weekend road trip from Kolkata to Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary. We left Kolkata on a Saturday morning at 6:30 AM and arrived around 2:00 PM, including a few stops along the way. Our breaks included Kolaghat and the Jharkhand border, where we had lunch at Delhi Darbar Dhaba. 1) Accommodation Since it was a last-minute plan, we booked a mud house online a week in advance for ₹600. Upon arrival, we paid an additional ₹900 for the room and a ₹600 car access fee for the sanctuary, which was valid until the next day. 2)Food We had a delicious dinner at the JH Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary Research Development Center campus, where the bamboo houses are located. The meal was truly tasty, consisting of chicken curry, vegetable curry, and aloo choka. 3) Exploring Dalma On our first day, we explored the local areas and Chandil Dam, where we enjoyed boating. The next morning, we drove to the hilltop. You can take your car all the way to the top, where you'll find a watchtower and temples dedicated to Hanuman Ji and Shiva Ji. The views made it feel like we were in a North Bengal hill station! After returning to the mud house, we checked out and headed to Dimna Lake. This was our enjoyable 2-day, 1-night trip. Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary is a great option for a weekend road trip!
Property surrounded by dalma hills and lush green. Along with room rent, tourists has to pay 600for car entry and 10 each for family members. Then 150 maintenance charges. We have to order food in advance to get it on time.
Dalma Hills are situated at a distance of approx 13 km from Jamshedpur and is one of the most frequented tourist destinations in the land. It is situated at an altitude of 3000 ft. The views from the hills are breathtaking. The dense forests, wildlife sanctuary and Lord Shiva temple attract tourists in great numbers. Trekking and rock climbing are two activities that adventure enthusiasts can engage in. Winter is the ideal season to visit. Close to Jamshedpur, the Dalma Sanctuary is the best elephant habitat in Jharkhand. The pachyderms love to spend their summer here. Unlike Palamau that usually reels under a scorching sun, it continues to be pleasant at Dalma with temperatures mostly under 300C. Elephants migrate to this sanctuary because of the availability of water during summer. The next best choice for getting the closest possible. January To December 9:00am To 5:00pm.
If you like thrilling then visit during monsoon but that time safari remain close you can visit only Dalma hill top, Oct is the best time if you like safari and want to see wild elephant.
Peaceful in greenery around. It's a different experience which one should experience specially the jungle safari. Better to take guide and do the safari in their designated safari jeeps. As they know the spots where you can get to watch the elephants and other animals and birds. Going by your own vehicle for the safari will be costing @ 600/ per vehicle and then tickets for individuals. The best is the Hill top here where you can enjoy the Sunset.

R D Tata gave fruition to the Founder’s vision, inculcating sports as an integral part of Tata Steel’s corporate philosophy. The Company’s commitment towards the promotion of sports is manifested through separate departments for football, archery, athletics and more. Over time, an impressive array of infrastructure, matching international standards to support sports has been built.
It's a great place to have a crazy football match. There are proper sitting arrangements, lighting is good, and the stadium is really really good. It is a good place for learning different sports as they also provide assistance and coaching. Locals love to come here as the prices are also moderately charged. The only thing is that, the seats must be cleaned before matches and the food inside must be a bit cheaper. But all in all it's a very good arena.
An excellent place for sports enthusiasts and lovers. Well maintained by Tata Steel and is the pride of Jamshedpur and Jharkhand. With world class sports infrastructure ranging from athletics to football, cricket, swimming, gym, indoor sports facilities, boxing, martial arts, archery, mountaineering and much more. Overall, JRD Sports Complex is a top-notch destination for anyone looking to stay active or engage in sports, making it a valuable asset to the community.
JRD Tata sports complex sets an example of what a sports complex means for a vebe a big city. We witnessed a football match with an audience attendance of a whooping 24,000 in the stadium. The stadium has amazing lighting and digital score boards and a tv to show replays and closeups. The experience was great than I expected form a small city and security and management made it sure that the visitors came in and out without any hassle.

Keenan Stadium in Jamshedpur is a historic multi-purpose stadium, though its golden days as a host of international cricket matches are largely in the past. It's a key venue for local and domestic sports, particularly cricket and football. What's Good About Keenan Stadium? Historical Significance: The stadium has a rich history, having hosted several international One Day International (ODI) matches. It's a place where cricketing legends have played, including MS Dhoni who started his career here. Location and Accessibility: Situated in the Northern Town area of Bistupur, the stadium is in a good, accessible location. Parking is also generally considered to be adequate. Outfield and Pitch: The ground has a reputation for having a good outfield and a firm, high-quality pitch that's often described as a batting paradise. Multi-purpose Venue: Beyond sports, the stadium is used for various events, including cultural programs and even dog shows. It's a versatile space that serves the community in different ways.
The stadium is at a good spot. Modi park is in the front of stadium and good stadium but a few cricket matches are arranged here. Now dog show is going on. Generally every year in the winter season mostly in the month of January dog show done here. Some latest photos and videos are given here. Tomorrow 12.01.25 is the last date of the show.
Visited there for dog show and that was really awesome and so mesmerizing.so many types of dogs was there for competition and also stray army for giving shelter to needful dogs.
Keenan has good outfield, but it is much smaller than actual cricket stadium that we see in present days. Several international matches have been played here. Team India have never won the matches in this ground. There's lot of infrastructure have been built to maintain its rich necessity. Tata Steel have announced to rebuilt it's status and hope in the coming days it would be ready for International matches.
It is very famous name in Jamshedpur but unfortunately the international matches are no more playing from decade.Only domestic matches are conducting here . I don't know what's the reason but I think Tata Steel should renovate this..If the cricket is started again then I think it will be the biggest gift for the people of Jamshedpur. It's looking very difficult for international matches but hoping for IPL in future.
A beautiful iconic place of Jamshedpur where many kids of 90s can associate their sports day with Keenan stadium
Cricket stadium owned and maintain by tata steel Jamshedpur. Earlier international matches had played here but now only ranji matches are played over here .

One of the oldest and most famous temples situated in Kadma, Jamshedpur. It is a holy place and has a cool and quite environment. There is a very beautiful place inside the temple campus which has a very silent and meditative atmosphere. Everyday a lot of people visit here to worship the gods. A must visit temple in Jamshedpur. Jai Ma Kali!!!
Rankini Mandir, located about 35 km from Tatanagar Railway Station, is a revered temple dedicated to Goddess Rankini, believed to be an incarnation of Goddess Kali. The temple holds immense historical and cultural significance, especially among the Bhumij tribes, who originally worshipped the deity as a stone idol. Over time, the worship evolved into that of Goddess Durga, likely due to the influence of the Dhalbhum kings. The current structure of the temple is around 70 years old, built in the 1950s. It is managed by a trust formed in 1954. Alongside the main temple, there are shrines dedicated to Lord Ganesha and Lord Shiva, adding to the spiritual ambiance of the place. A Hari Mandir, dedicated to Radha-Gobind, has also been constructed nearby. Rankini Mandir continues to be a place of deep faith, attracting both tribal and non-tribal devotees. The temple’s location on the Hata-Jadugora state highway, near Rohinibera village, makes it accessible for visitors. For those interested in history, spirituality, and local legends, Rankini Mandir is a must-visit destination that offers a glimpse into the region’s rich traditions and deep-rooted beliefs.

The Temple with well connectivity.... Surrounded by nature... Must visit and have blessing from Maa Rankini.... Can Reach by 4 wheel or 2 wheel... Have darshan and move towards Hata Chowk for chai nasta lunch.
Too many beggers at entrance of temple. They are very aggressive and keep pestering you for alms, as if it is their right! Also, vehicular traffic is heavy as it opens directly on main road. Plus, there is no facility to park your vehicle and one is forced to park on road.

This mall offers a great mix of shopping, dining, and entertainment options. The layout is spacious and easy to navigate, with plenty of seating areas to take a break. Stores range from high-end brands to affordable retailers, catering to a wide variety of shoppers. Food options are diverse, from quick bites in the food court to full-service restaurants. The cinema is modern and clean, and there's usually some kind of event or pop-up going on to keep things lively. Parking can get crowded on weekends, but there's usually space if you're patient. Cleanliness and security are well-maintained throughout the premises. Overall, a great place to spend a few hours shopping or just hanging out. Would you like this rewritten for a specific mall, city, or experience you had?
Very spacious, clean shopping mall with all major brands at the store. Food court also very good, good food. Plenty of parking space inside. It's a good place to visit with family and kids.
P&M Mall is one of the best places in Jamshedpur for shopping, dining, and entertainment. It’s clean, spacious, and well-maintained with a great variety of brands like Pantaloons, Westside, and Miniso. The Cinepolis multiplex offers a good movie experience, and the food court has plenty of options, including Domino’s and Moti Mahal. The mall hosts events during festivals, which adds to the lively vibe. Parking is convenient, though service at a few outlets and the kids' play zone can be improved. Overall, a great spot for a family outing or weekend hangout.
P&M Mall is the main hangout spot in Jamshedpur with a lively vibe. Almost every popular store is available here, along with a good Cinepolis (PJP) theatre. The place does get very crowded, but overall it’s the best mall experience in the city. Don’t miss the jhal muri from the vendor outside—it’s worth a try! 🌟
I really like the mall and the ambiance, very neat and well maintained lighting was superb. The theatre and bar are on the same floor , parking really sucks very expensive fees and dirty , drainage was full and smelly like streets and full of mosquitos
