If you like saunas and swimming, this is a dream place !! It's totally fantastic! Staff are always amazing and helpful ! Thank you!!!
MUST READ: My Honest Opinion on VulkanEifel Therme** I stayed at Center Parcs Eifel, about a 35-minute drive from this spa. Had I known what kind of experience awaited me, I would have gladly driven 1 hour and 45 minutes further to a wellness center I visited last year and **highly recommend**, namely **Vabali Spa Düsseldorf**. When my wife and I arrived, the lady at the reception was clearly unhappy about having to speak English. She didn’t even make an effort and continued speaking in German. As the conversation went on, she became visibly irritated. At one point, she sighed deeply, grabbed a brochure, and just handed it to us without any explanation. Meanwhile, the other staff members behind the counter looked at us and suddenly started laughing. Why? No idea. Maybe they were saying I’m a handsome man—who knows? Once inside, we received no information whatsoever: we didn’t know where to leave our clothes, where the pool was, or where the sauna was located. After wandering around for a bit, we decided to head to the saunas in our swimwear. But as soon as we entered, people started staring at us. At first, we didn’t understand why, until we realized that everyone there was walking around in bathrobes. My wife immediately felt uncomfortable, especially since this was her first time in a sauna. As we walked further, we noticed that **everyone was completely naked. I personally have no problem with that, as I have been to multiple saunas before.** But it was quite a shock to realize that we were the only ones in swimwear, and nobody had informed us. My wife turned bright red and clearly felt out of place. Eventually, I approached another guest, who kindly explained how things worked there. To collect our thoughts, we went to the pool for a while and then decided to buy a bathrobe. When we returned to the saunas, things felt a bit more normal, but we still had the feeling that people were staring at us. Why? No idea. I want to specifically mention this: **I am a person of color, and my wife is not. I tend to be more aware of how people look at me, but this time, I felt intensely stared at. It made me feel uncomfortable, and that is not something I experience easily.** **I am also a lifeguard and sauna master, and as a lifeguard, I know how important it is to keep an eye on the pool.** I only saw one lifeguard sitting in his booth, taking water measurements, and if you’re doing that, **you are not fully monitoring the pool—especially not if you’re also watching football on your phone.** We paid for a full-day pass but ended up staying for only about two hours, just so my wife could get at least some value for her money. When we checked out, we were lucky to meet another lady at the reception who spoke some English and was actually polite. She was the **only** staff member in the entire facility who smiled and made an effort to assist us. That was the only positive aspect of our visit and the reason why I wouldn’t label this experience as completely terrible.
A very nice location. Great service and friendly staff. Just disappointed the water wasn't warmer. We really like the wrist bands with the medallions that you use to enter the spa as well as unlock/lock the lockers. No fussing with locks and keys.
I had a very relaxing quality sauna experience, until I asked to get my bikini from a sauna locker that a member of personell had locked me out of. The lady behind cash register extensively lectured me on how I should not have tried to use a second locker (embarrassed, I even apologized to her several times in my bad german)... and then she said "Are you not happy we locked it for you? Really, you should be happy." This was too much for me and I replied that actually, I was not happy, as it was a bit inconvenient for me. She got really angry and shouted "Meine gotte!" as she walked away... Needless to say I left not relaxed, but stressed and upset.
Lovely place,a definite recommendation especially if you need a weekend getaway for resetting from busy city life. Thai massage therapist was really good. Also book way ahead of time since the place gets fully booked pretty fast due to the many hotels in the vicinity.
Good price, cosy atmosphere, not busy. It's not the biggest but I think enough for 2h relax.
Very simple but quite and clean thermal spa. Parking is easy and free.
Relaxing, nice ..good customer service ..plus you take care of your health!

This place is all about the setting. Enclosed in the surrounding hills, this park is soo quiet. If you're comfortable with the silence, this place is heavenly. There's some volcanic rock around too. Garden is well maintained. If you are in the area, check this garden out. You won't regret it!
When we visited this little village, I was a bit overwhelmed by the scenery. The sound of the water flowing alongside the road, the sun shining over the mountains, the people casually walking along the streets... Peaceful, that's what it is. The picture I posted was made in a little park on top of a hill called the "Field of silence" or something along those lines. Absolutely stunning location. Go do yourself a favor, if you're in the area, take a little walk here.
Great views in all directions. Lovely for a walk or mountain biking.
Nice place to walk,or just relax
Very good food for a low price
Will come back here for regular walks

This small valley gets five stars due to memories of Bali.. why? Because we have been there after some warm summer rain and humidity and temperature reminded me of Indonesian green. Remote location, you need good shoes after rain. Not accessible for disabled people and maybe also not for too young children, because some partes of the trail are not secured. Besides that it is amazing. Parking might be difficult in tourist season. You could try to use the lot of the clinic above.
From the car park next to the L104 (free parking) it’s a quick walk 700m to the Elfengrotte. In total it’s a 1.35km walk to see the waterfall & Elfengrotte and loop back to the car park. Worth a long trip, nope. But if you’re in the neighborhood it’s a nice 33 minutes of scenic views.
Small waterfall and cave . Nice place to go with kids . In the surrounding woods you can go for a walk for a few km . There is a restaurant in the area .
Wonderful little waterfall, nothing spectacular. If you want, is a perfect place for hiking around in the forests nearby.
Very nice little waterfall
Beautiful place with healthy atmosphere,
Pretty grotto. Amazing when the waterfall is frozen in winter

Great bar! Perfect for a fun night out enjoying some drinks (or tequilashots😉) and games. The couple running the bar are real fun and lovely people. Would definately recommend a drink at Hoschi's bar!
Hoschi is a good host, There is good selection of beverage choices. The overall feel of the place is cozy. I would recommend everybody to go for a drink and play some bar games
Best cocktails around!
(Translated by Google) Nice atmosphere, nice reception, nice staff. Those are reasons enough for a detour! But the bar has much more to offer and that is a large number of drinks and freshly made cocktails. (Original) Nettes Ambiente, netter Empfang, nettes Personal. Das sind schon Gründe genug für einen Abstecher! Aber die Bar hat noch viel mehr zu bieten und das ist eine große Anzahl an Getränken und frisch zubereiteten Cocktails.
(Translated by Google) We liked it. The only thing that bothered us as non-smokers was the amount of smoke. But it's okay. Billiards was fun and the cocktails were delicious (Original) Hat uns gefallen. Das einzige was uns als Nichtraucher störte war der viele Qualm. Aber schon okay. Billiard hat Spaß gemacht und die Cocktails waren lecker

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It is in a grand and well maintained building with lift and the rooms are bright with nice decor and overlooking a fantastic park .... very affordable !!!....Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was very generous. Bad Bertrich is surrounded by green forests, located in the valley of a former volcanic area. It offers some enjoyable walks with great views over the village. There is a large internal thermal spring swimming pool with sauna and sunrooms nearby.
The hotel is nice and the staffs too are very accommodating. Our room is just enough for two persons and housekeepers were cleaning it everyday. Foods are good and delicious. The only thing is that the hotel doesn't have it's own parking area.
The location is nice, very quiet but a beautiful area. The hotel itself looks both pretty from the outside and the inside. The room was big, clean and the beds were good. I have slept very well! What I adored the most was the wellness. The staff was very helpful and it was a relaxing experience. I've went to this hotel with my boyfriend. We have had a blast!
I was there as a tour guide with a group of American cyclists visiting the region. I have been working as a guide for 5 years for one of the leading American company in active travel: Backroads. I get to stay in many hotels, from the traditional 2 stars local b&b to 5 stars luxury hotels and eat in dozens of different restaurants (from local brasseries to 2 Michelin stars) all over Europe, 7 months/year. This is from far the worst service I have ever experienced! As I arrived, the receptionist didnt even bother to look at me. She said, staring at her computer and in German, that my colleague had already checked in. I asked where was my room, and she waved vaguely to the right, annoyed by my question and still in German even though she knew I didnt understand very well (I am from Belgium), and repeated that my colleague had already checked in. I finally managed to get her to tell me what room number I was in! Not only was it totally unprofessional, but it was totally rude! Later that day, we had asked if we could get some amuse-bouche for our clients to serve with their wine. We were told it was not possible, so we provided them ourselves. We ended up doing all the service ourselves (ordering drinks and serving them), since the waiter couldnt have cared less and was so unpleasant that we actually didnt want our clients to have to deal with him. We didnt dine with our clients that night but we heard from them the next day that food & service was "abyssal". And they were a pretty easy-going group... The staff would also not deliver luggage in the rooms, or pick them up the next day, so we ended up doing it ourselves too. I do not understand how a hotel can hire such unprofessional, unpleasant, clumsy and rude staff. I repeat myself: this is the worst I have ever experienced! Just dont go there, it is absolutely terrible and staff treats you like sh***.
Parkhotel Bad Bertrich has everything to offer in order to enjoy a luxurious and relaxing holiday. I've stayed here for a couple of days with my wife. We enjoyed our holiday over here, being located in the center of the town Bad Bertrich. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are big, clean and well-designed. The hotel has a very nice restaurant; one of the best, if not the best in the area. The hotel also features a professional wellness department, making this hotel the perfect place for a great and relaxing holiday.
The dinner was great. We had a very good bottle of red wine and decided for fish and rumpsteak. The fish was well-made, the meat was soft and just outstandingly good. Our side courses were röstis and bratkartoffeln. Both were tasty as well. All in all, it was a very well rounded dinner after which one plate of dessert was enough for two persons. 5/5 definitely recommend having dinner at the Parkhotel.
Vegeterian option in the menu is lame (pasta with tomato) beer is very expensive (4€) for what it is . Dissapointing for a holiday. No wifi code in the rooms. General opinion : they could do much better with the food.
Nice hotel! Good housekeeping, very friendly staff and nice breakfastbuffet. We enjoyed our stay here at the Parkhotel!

The "beau monde" of my World.
If you want to meet best owner/waitress in whole Germany, this is the place. Lady Heidi, that is her name, also has such s big heart, good humor, charm, class, I could go for hours just writing the compliments, but you must meet her. She creates domestic atmosphere together with local people who come there. Guests are nice, polite, kind and if you search for a true German spirit, it is here. Five stars are not enough, so 10 from me. Must come. Deve venire. Doit venir. Moet komen. Morate doći.
(Translated by Google) Super cozy brown cafe. Very good hostess who knows her job. On Saturday live music from her husband, maybe not the best note but he does it with love and passion. If we are in the area again, this is definitely a stop. Thank you Heidrun for those wonderful days 😘 (Original) Super gezellig bruin cafe. Hele goeie gastvrouw die verstand heeft van haar vak. (Translated by Google) This place is a journey back in time to the 70s. The disco ball hangs from the ceiling, the Hammond organ is in the corner and people smoke like there's no tomorrow. It's an old time place...you like it or you don't like it. Of course there are also drinks at reasonable prices and good service. Unfortunately we didn't feel comfortable here because of the cigarette smoke. (Original) Dieser Ort ist eine Zeitreise in die 70er. Getränke zu zivilen Preisen und guten Service gibt es natürlich auch. Wir haben uns hier aber wegen des Zigaretten- Qualms leider nicht wohl gefühlt.
