This trek is easy and can be done in half an hour. The scenes from the top of the peak are so beautiful. You can get a full 360° view of the Himalayan ranges. On reaching the top, there is a temple where you can pray and even have darshan of Mount Kailash using a telescope. Very beautiful place. We went when the snow was just about to melt in March.
Amazing place to visit for everyone. Very easy trek, harldy 1/2 hr to reach on top. You can spend as much time as you want, you will be in between the clouds at top. There is Temple on top and various shops for snacks. Toilet facilities available. Near temple. We visited in month of September end it was very less crowded and peaceful. Parking available at road side.
Dainkund Peak is an absolute must-visit in Dalhousie! The hike to the Pohlani Devi Temple is beautiful and very enjoyable, with a well-defined, easy-to-follow path, so there’s absolutely no need for a guide. The trail is clean, scenic, and perfect for anyone looking to enjoy nature at a relaxed pace. Once you reach the top, you’re rewarded with stunning 360° panoramic views of the mountains and valleys around — truly breathtaking and worth every step of the hike. The cool breeze, peaceful surroundings, and wide open vistas make it a memorable experience. Highly recommended for nature lovers, casual hikers, and anyone visiting Dalhousie!
Trekking at Dainkund Peak was an unforgettable experience, offering a perfect blend of serenity and natural beauty. As I ascended the trail, a peaceful silence enveloped the surroundings, broken only by the soft rustling of leaves and the distant calls of birds. The path meandered through lush green meadows and dense forest patches, gradually leading me above the clouds. Walking amidst the mist and cool mountain breeze felt surreal—as if nature itself had paused in quiet admiration. From the summit, the panoramic view of the surrounding was breath taking. It was a soul-refreshing journey, where every step brought a deeper connection to nature.
Amazing trek with beautiful panaromic.views.It is highest point of Dalhousie.I would say more scenic and beautiful than Khajiaar. It takes hardly half an hour to reach top from base. Complete the trek to reach Pohani Mata temple. Please seek advice from locals in case of inclement weather
Trek is easy. First 600 meters of the treck is inclined after that it's easy and the path is straight. Pohlani mata temple is at the peak and you can view manimahesh kailash if there is no fog. And the view is so amazing literally so beautiful. If you're visiting Dalhousie you must go here.
One of the Best Place to visit Daikund Trek if you are planning to go to Dalhousie. It’s a 1.5 km trek. The gates will be closed on 4:00pm. Try to reach early. Must carry your water bottles, you will definitely need it. At the top there is a popular Pholani Devi Temple. View from the top is mesmerising. You will definitely love and enjoy it.
Marvellous place. Do the trek, climb the peaks. View from top of the mountain is breath taking. Approximately 30-35 mins of trek from airforce barrier.

St. John Church in Dalhousie is a charming historic church located in the picturesque town of Dalhousie, Himachal Pradesh, India. Built in the late 19th century, it is known for its beautiful architecture, serene surroundings, and stained glass windows. The church serves as a peaceful place for reflection and prayer, attracting both locals and tourists. Its location offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains, making it a popular spot for photography and quiet contemplation.
St. John's Church, located on Mall Road near Gandhi Chowk in Dalhousie, Himachal Pradesh, is the town's oldest church and a significant historical landmark. Constructed in 1863, it was established after the arrival of Reverend John H. Pratt, who encouraged the Protestant community to build a permanent structure to replace the earlier wooden chapel. The church's architecture reflects Victorian-era design, characterized by stone construction with wooden beams, and bears resemblance to Roman Catholic churches of England, though it serves a Protestant congregation. Inside, visitors can admire stunning stained-glass windows depicting St. John the Baptist and St. Peter. The church also houses a library containing rare books and photographs that offer insights into Dalhousie's colonial past. Regular Sunday services are held, attracting both locals and tourists. Over the years, St. John's Church has become a popular tourist attraction, not only for its religious significance but also for its serene ambiance and historical value. Surrounded by lush greenery and offering panoramic views of the Himalayas, it provides a peaceful retreat for visitors seeking reflection and tranquillity. The church is open daily from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and entry is free of charge. Its location on Mall Road makes it easily accessible and a convenient stop for those exploring the town.
A spiritual heaven in Dalhousie. Inside, the aura of reverence is palpable. The flickering candles, the aroma of incense, and the soft hymns echoing through the halls create a sense of peace that is truly unparalleled. Moreover, the vibrant street market surrounding the church adds to the charm of the experience. From colorful trinkets to delectable street food, there's something to delight every sense.
One of the oldest churches in Dalhousie, surrounded by beautiful trees and colonial charm. But during my visit, the church was empty and renovation work was going on, so the peace you’d usually expect was replaced by a lot of construction noise. The structure itself is lovely from the outside, and it’s a nice stop if you’re walking around the area. Hopefully, once the renovation is complete, it’ll regain its peaceful vibe. Good for a quick visit — just not the quiet experience you’d expect from a hill station church (at least for now)
An architectural gem located in the heart of Dalhousie. Although I’m not a member of the church, I did appreciate the equanimity and beautiful setting
I would like to say one thing that this church has become my favorite. Going here gives a sense of peace. The nearby place is also very good for visiting and there is a place to stay as well.
St. John's Church is a scenic, colonial-era spot located in the heart of Dalhousie. Popular among tourists for its architecture and photo opportunities, it’s often buzzing during the day. For a quieter experience, visit in the late evening when the surroundings are calm and peaceful. A quick, worthwhile stop if you're exploring the town.
This church is one of the famous tourist's attractions in Dalhousie which is just opposite Gandhi chowk. The church was not opened due to heavy snowfall so we managed to get in from the back door. As it was fully occupied by snow it was looking even more beautiful. Definitely, this church is a must-visit place.

Visited during Christmas and was a beautiful place to be at. We need to remove our footwear outside to visit the church (just to let you all know). The walk towards the church is also beautiful. Don’t forget to click pics at the viewpoint just across the church
St. Francis is a must-visit Catholic Church open for visitors all through the day and can be walked / entered till the altar. Quaint, picturesque, and historical architecture. While the North India St. John's Church 2km from this place is in ruins and not allowed to go till the altar ; this is open for visitors.
A peaceful and charming old church that gives you a feel of colonial-era Dalhousie. St. Francis Church is surrounded by tall deodar trees and offers a quiet escape from the usual tourist rush. The architecture is simple yet beautiful, and the stained glass windows add a lovely touch of color and history. It’s a great place to sit in silence, light a candle, or just soak in the calm atmosphere. You don’t need too much time to explore — it’s a quick stop, but definitely worth it if you enjoy heritage sites or just want some quiet time. The church is located near Subhash Chowk, so it’s easy to reach on foot. Sometimes, it’s closed during certain hours, so check timings before going. Perfect for a short, serene break during your Dalhousie visit.
This Victorian-style church is a very popular tourist spot in Dalhousie. Located in front of Subhash Chandra Bose statue in Subhash chawk, dalhousie. This church is surrounded by deodar trees and the entrance staircase is very beautiful. The inside of the church is made of wood and Belgian glass. A very calm and peaceful place to spend a morning in Dalhousie.
We visited the church on Maunday Thursday 2025. Complete solitude and with such tranquility, ensured that we spent quality time in reflection and prayer. One can also appreciate the elegant architectural details of an era gone by. Limited parking available, with the church at an elevation from the road and accessible by road and steps.
St. Francis Church in Dalhousie has a rich history that dates back to the late 19th century. * Construction (1894): The church was constructed in the year 1894 by a collaborative effort of Army and Civil Officers and local civilians. * Architecture: It is a prime example of typical British or Victorian-era architecture, bearing a strong resemblance to many famous churches in England. Its design features intricate stonework, beautiful glasswork (including Belgian glass), and sometimes exquisite wooden ceilings. * Maintenance and Regulation: Since its construction, the church has been maintained and regulated by the Catholic Diocese of Jalandhar. * Significance: It stands as a prominent monument in Dalhousie, reflecting the colonial past and the religious life of that era. It has also become a significant tourist attraction, drawing visitors with its serene atmosphere, historical charm, and architectural beauty. * Current Status: Despite being over a century old, the church remains well-preserved and continues to be a place of worship, holding regular Sunday masses. It's in Subhas Chok. Must enjoy this historic, beautiful, and calm place.
A feeling of solitude and solace is the main thing here. Small but quite beautiful church. It has its own parking area, and a small entrance garden. Located near subhas chowk. Few steep steps uphill road one had to take to enter inside.
This church is located on Subhash chowk and it is currently in a very bad shape. Renovation was going on and there wasn't any crowd. The vicinity of the place is good and the atmosphere is quite peaceful. Overall it could be a great place after the renovation and good maintenance.

It's a very thrilling adventure but just keep things in mind if you car is not capable don't go further and for bikes don't horn in areas and go behind the big vehicle because in hill cars can't be stopped so give them way. And go back if weather gets bad
I and wife drove to Sach Pass on 26 Sep 2025 on our way to Zanskar, Ladakh. This was our second visit. The first one was exactly 6 years ago on 27 Sep 2019. The road conditions from Bairagarh to Sach Pass to Killar to Udaipur continues to be bad even after 6 years. We drove 200 km in 12 hours, i.e., 17 kmph average, on that day. All said and done, we enjoyed this adventure for the second time as all other roads leading to Ladakh were closed due to bad weather and road closure.
Great Place but only you reached here by off-road vehicles. The beauty of nature is unbelievable.
Sach pass is a very dangerous and tough mountain pass. You need good driving skills to cover this mountain pass. The road conditions are not good within the 150 km area covered in sach pass and pangi valley.
For All Rides if You have done With Leh- Ladakh then you must visit Sach Pass , for pure adventure and thrill . Try To Keep place clean while Riding towards Sach Pass Very beautiful place with super scenes
The experience at Saach Pass was incredibly thrilling. The off-roading roads present quite a challenge, and it's advisable to avoid going late as the roads and the path can be very dangerous. Nature beauty is of course a plus point bit still suggest avoid going with family and kids

Enjoyed a small stop on the way back from Chamera lake to Dalhousie- so worth it. Quite tea with no other people around by a small cabin next to the voice of water splashing on rocks. A mindfulness spot.
Good spot for photo. Small park for 5 min walk. No crowd here in mid feb 2025.
Now useless place No way to go here No spot for photos and views Not even a timepass place Area and garden covered by nearby shops and hotels Don't go, if you r a tourist
Amazing place. A peaceful spot with rocks all around and a calm pool in the center. The nearby hotel offers scenic stays, and a restaurant is nearby. Great for a short, relaxing getaway.
very nice place nature and people hand in hand. lovely experience. there are rocks placed by mother nature, and then there are manmade things, side by side.. but the placement is really beautiful. again, there are food services available like restaurant and Maggie stalls, etc. there isan ancient temple just opposite of this place.that is also very nice.
Why this is a tourist place ??? Only grass and garbage there is this river flows nearby where you can pass your time bt this is waste of time
Nothing is there, it's all barren and unused. Once upon a time it used to be a lively place. Now there is nothing. Don't waste your time going there, rather go to some other place. Still wishing that the local administration pay attention for its upkeep and make it worth visiting again
Visited on 21st Oct 2025 What is the purpose of this place? Just a waste of time. Nothing was interesting.

The trek is in Dalhousie which starts from panchpula waterfalls. The trek is 2 kilometres long and it's somewhat moderate. The whole route is full of wonderful scenic views. You can spend a good time in the top taking beautiful pictures. There is also a small food stall on the top where you can have tea and snacks. It will be a great experience.
My recent solo trek to Ganji Pahadi was an experience I'll never forget. Starting from Panchpula, I set off early on a weekday morning, which meant the trail was completely deserted—we were the only trekkers on the path. This solitude made the journey feel even more special. I had the pleasure of being guided by a local expert who was not only friendly but also deeply knowledgeable about the area. One of the highlights of the trek was navigating through snow-covered pathways, which added both a challenge and a magical touch to the experience. The snow-laden trail was breathtaking, making every step feel like an adventure. Midway, we stopped at a small, cozy hut where I enjoyed a cup of delicious pahadi chai. This simple yet authentic experience added a warm and memorable moment to the chilly trek. Reaching the summit of Ganji Pahadi was incredibly rewarding, with panoramic views of the majestic Dhauladhar range right in front of you. You can also catch glimpses of the Pir Panjal range in the distance. The sight of these towering, snow-capped mountains is truly awe-inspiring and makes the effort worthwhile. For anyone considering this trek, especially solo travelers, I highly recommend going early and hiring a local guide. The quiet, snow-covered paths, the serene atmosphere, and the stunning mountain vistas make it a journey you won't want to miss.
This is a beautiful trek that starts from the climb to the panchpula waterfall. There is no need of a guide ( many would try to scare you and ask you to take a guide) The trail is made and you cannot go wrong on it. Once you reach what you think is a top, there is only one very small kiosk which sells water, drinks and Maggi etc. The trek doesn’t end here. The path goes higher to a more level place which also has a tower and few benches to sit and enjoy the magnificent view on a clear day. The story still doesn’t end here. On the left, the path still continues to even higher part of the mountain. It takes you from a side to the back and then to the top of the mountain which I believe is the actual Ganji pahari. Go from there and then you can come back straight to the same place where the tower is, but not necessarily from the same route. You can come from a little more adventurous route which you would know when you are there. Please be aware that thought it’s easy cos of the stairs that are made etc, it’s still not recommended for old people and people with not very strong legs and back. It does tire you up. And there is not many places you can rest in middle. There is a cafe called the ibex cafe and that’s like midway to the destination.
The Ganji Pahari trek near Dalhousie, Himachal Pradesh, might be your perfect fit. Here's what makes it famous, along with a heads-up for what it might lack: Famous for: Easy Escape: This short and scenic trek is ideal for beginners or anyone seeking a relaxed stroll in nature. It's a great option for families with kids or those short on time. Breathtaking Views: The reward for your climb is a breathtaking vista of the surrounding valleys and snow-capped peaks. Take in the fresh mountain air and capture stunning photos! Unique Landscape: "Ganji Pahari" translates to "Bald Hill," and this aptly describes the trek's lack of flora. This unique landscape offers a different perspective of the Himalayas. What it Lacks: Challenge for Experienced Trekkers: Seasoned trekkers might find this trek too easy. If you're looking for an adventurous hike with a physical challenge, Ganji Pahari might not be it. Limited Facilities: Don't expect elaborate campsites or restaurants on the trail. Pack your own snacks and water, and be prepared for basic facilities. Shorter Experience: This is a quick trek, achievable in a few hours. If you're looking for a multi-day adventure deep in the Himalayas, Ganji Pahari might not fulfill that desire. Overall: The Ganji Pahari trek is a fantastic option for casual hikers or those seeking a quick nature fix with stunning views. It's a great way to experience the beauty of Himachal Pradesh without a demanding physical challenge. However, experienced trekkers or those seeking a longer adventure might find it a bit limited.
It is a beginner level trek that goes through a forest area. There is serenity at the top. We were guided by Mr. Amit, who was supportive and helpful till the end.
The trek starts from panchpula... 2km trek mostly goes through dence and beautiful forest..top of the hill is most beautiful... You can stay at the mud house at the top..
After Dainkund best place to trek in Dalhousie...... Take a short hike and enjoy the scenic view of the landscape.

Less crowded and a very peaceful experience, not much to climb so even elderly people can visit and also the view from the temple is amazing.
Very beautiful and peaceful temple. 🤩🤩🤩 Must visit in Chamba/ Dalhousie tour. Just 5 minutes walk on stairs from parking to reach temple top. Very beautiful view of Ravi river from top. Very big covered parking area, lots of shops for prasad. Lots of food options in parking. Very few people in feb 2025.
Lovely Temple with peaceful vibes. It has a path that’s slightly challenging but rewarding. Along the way, a small market adds charm with local snacks and offerings. Peaceful and spiritual, perfect for a short trek.
Nestled in the serene hills of Chamba, Bhalei Mata Mandir stands as one of the most prominent temples in the region, drawing crowds of devoted locals who swear by its spiritual aura. The journey from Chamba town takes about 45-60 minutes by road, winding through picturesque landscapes that already set a calm tone for the visit. As soon as you step into the temple premises, a profound peace envelops you, and it's easy to feel the divine blessings of Mata radiating from every corner. I make it a point to visit regularly because the positive vibes here are unmatched—they recharge my soul and bring a sense of clarity amid life's chaos. If you approach with true faith, Mata has a way of turning wishes into reality, almost like her gentle magic at work. I highly recommend making the trip to experience this sacred spot firsthand; the blessings and serenity will leave you transformed. Jai Bhalei Mata. 🙏❤️
Beautiful temple at the height great view of lake peaceful place 200-300 metres steep walk to reach there
Our visit to Bhalei Mata Temple was one of those experiences that stays with you long after you’ve left. Tucked away in the quiet hills near Chamba, the temple exudes an old-world charm that instantly calms you. The drive itself is beautiful — winding roads, tall deodars, and occasional glimpses of valleys that look almost painted. As we reached the temple, the air felt still and pure, carrying a quiet energy that’s hard to describe in words. Dedicated to Goddess Bhader Kali, the temple is believed to be centuries old, and locals often speak of how the deity herself chose this spot. There’s something deeply humbling about standing in front of the sanctum, listening to the rhythmic ringing of bells and watching devotees offer prayers with such devotion. The architecture is simple yet graceful, perfectly blending with the landscape — no grandeur, just serenity. The temple isn’t very crowded, which makes the experience even more peaceful. The short flight of stairs from the parking area is easy to climb, and from the top, you get a sweeping view of the hills. The silence here feels sacred — not empty, but full of presence. It’s the kind of place where you naturally pause, breathe a little deeper, and feel grateful for no particular reason. There are a few small shops around for prasad and tea, nothing fancy but enough to keep the warmth going. Facilities are basic, but the simplicity somehow fits the essence of the place.
🕉️No words can describe this place.... 🕉️ A temple is a place of blessings, where everyone comes with a positive thought creating a wave of positivity in the temple space. This helps calm our minds and absorb more positive vibrations and energy. Temple rituals are not blind traditions that are followed by droves of believers without any thought behind them.❣️❣️❣️

Good stay overall . Bang on the gandhi chowk only 200 mtrs . Staff was always helpful and quick for any queries. Nice quality of breakfast.
I stayed here with my family. Had a booking of a family suite room with meals. It was a wonderful experience. The location is great with beautiful views. Food was delicious and nicely served. The staff is cooperative and nice. The restaurant and house keeping team needs special appreciation. Vehicles are safely parked inside. Overall it was good to be at Ark and would love to visit again whenever i get an opportunity.
The rooms were spacious and really nice but we felt the service was a bit slow and they can improve it. Our room had some issues but thankfully the staff helped us out by shifting us to another room which really make our stay comfortable. Apart from some tiny miny issues that the hotel staff can improve, I will definitely recommend this hotel for your comfortable stay.

Very beautiful park dedicated to Mothers of our brave soldiers. 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 MUST VISIT PLACE IN DALHOUSIE for every Indian !! Beautiful aircraft, tank, jeep, missiles, ship, etc on display !! There is a very big Tricolor hosted near the park, which is visible from here. Extremely well maintained ! Parking area is sufficient for 2 wheelers and cars.
Beeji's Park in Dalhousie is a serene and beautifully maintained park that serves as a tribute to the valor of the Indian Armed Forces. Situated on the Dalhousie-Khajjiar Road in Dhupguri, approximately 8 kilometers from the city center, this park offers a peaceful retreat with scenic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. What makes Beeji's Park unique is its dedication to honoring the armed forces. The park proudly displays decommissioned military equipment, including tanks, artillery, and various weapons. These exhibits provide visitors with a glimpse into India's defense history and serve as a reminder of the sacrifices made by the armed forces. Each piece of equipment has a board alongside it, offering information about its history and service. Notable displays include a MIG-21 fighter aircraft, two surface-to-air Pichora missiles, and a Russian-made T-55 tank. Beyond its military exhibits, Beeji's Park is also a place of natural beauty. The park is adorned with lush greenery, vibrant flowers, and well-maintained walking trails, making it ideal for a morning jog or a leisurely evening stroll. The tranquil atmosphere and the soothing sounds of nature offer a welcome escape from the bustling tourist spots of Dalhousie. It's a popular spot for families and individuals looking for a peaceful day out. Interestingly, Beeji's Park was inaugurated in 2016 and is managed by the Dalhousie Public School. It's named 'A Tribute to all Mothers' and also honors Sardar Madan Singh, a young Naval officer. The park has gained significant popularity, attracting a large number of tourists, both domestic and international, since its inception. With free entry and its location on the way to Khajjiar, Beeji's Park is a worthwhile stop for anyone visiting Dalhousie, offering a blend of historical insight and natural tranquility.
Beeji’s Park in Dalhousie is a hidden gem that truly leaves an impression. The entire area is beautifully decorated, especially the road leading to the park — it’s lined with vibrant flowers and greenery, making it a peaceful and refreshing walk. The park itself is a unique military-themed attraction dedicated to the valor and sacrifice of the Indian Armed Forces. You’ll find military tanks, aircraft models, and other fascinating exhibits that pay tribute to the heroes of our nation. It’s not just scenic but also educational and inspiring, especially for children and young adults. A great spot for families, history enthusiasts, or anyone looking to spend time in a place that’s both beautiful and meaningful. Definitely a must-visit when in Dalhousie!
Some nice samples of fighter jets or tank or jeeps shown here. Real life view of these defence items or equipment. But it's a good site and kids and elders can enjoy equally if interested in seeing these items Only problem is these exhibits are along the road and there is no park where u can enter. One needs to see all this from the road (where main traffic moves)
A tribute to brave mother's, whose sons paid Supreme sacrifice to the Nation. A beautiful display of Army Naval and AF equipments such as tanks aircraft guns etc. Must visit place. One must be careful abt passing by traffic.
Good place to visit with friends and family. Children will enjoy here a lot. There are various military vehicles displayed here.
This park is situated in army area which is perfectly maintained, full of greenery and flowers. There are some equipments like tank, fighter jet and bomber jeeps which were used in wars and our army won. Must visit place. I personally feel so proud while sitting there.
This nice little park is located outside of Dalhousie, on the way to panchpula. This park has some old tanks, armoured jeep, aircraft to inspire the younger generation to join the Indian army. This whole place is clean and very well maintained.
