A stunning historic castle with breathtaking architecture and beautifully maintained gardens. The guided tour was very informative, giving a glimpse into royal history and fascinating stories. A must-visit for anyone exploring Scotland!
Visited on a Monday lunchtime in the October school holidays, not busy and the tour was fantastic. So interesting and informative, no video or photos allowed inside. The gardens are huge. Kitchen and Italian gardens were beautiful, café lunch was fresh and tasty
Really enjoyed the house & grounds. The tour guide was so knowledgeable & I enjoyed learning lots about the history & characters of the house's history. We were lucky with a great autumn day but also really liked the Macbeth loop.
First time visiting Glamis Castle and it was lovely. The castle itself is absolutely breathtaking from the outside and our tour guide John was very entertaining and definitely knew his stuff. The castle was a vast history was damaged in battles, renovated and upgraded in various ways as well. The gardens and various pine walks are beautiful as well, during the tour John mentioned the gardens were designed first and then the castle followed. That is evident when you take pictures of either of them, the garden is so picturesque and flows very well. Overall well worth the ticket price and visit. I recommend going early morning and leaving before the afternoon rush.
Glamis Castle has the most beautiful grounds. We didn't have enough time to do the Castle tour but definitely coming back for it! We were there on a cloudy day but the whole space just makes you feel amazing! All staff are very nice and helpful and its credit to the staff who maintain this beautiful site!
Was passing by and was recommended to have a visit and I’m glad that I did! An incredible castle with extensive grounds that are all looked after immaculately. The tour was great, Abi was our guide and she did a wonderful job. Didn’t have much time to really take everything in so will definitely be back when next in the area.
Very well presented grounds and great friendly Team! Castle Tour was very interesting and Gift Shop was beautiful. Cafe very nice and good selection on offer. Will visit again.
A delightful piece of Scottish history. Tour was informative and at a relaxed pace. The grounds were lovely. Only disappointment was the AI slop in the gift shop. Ensured I didn't buy anything.

I’ll get to the gin in a second, but let me start out with the experience itself. It by FAR exceeded any expectations we had. The environment itself is superb. We did a gin tasting and the tasting room was super cozy and inviting. They have the tasting menu down to an T. It’s all perfect. Allowing us to go at our own pace was amazing. It didn’t feel rushed and made the experience much more enjoyable. The staff were super friendly. Now for the gin. Everything they produce is phenomenal. The original gin and the Gunshot gins have reputations that are well earned. I will say that you shouldn’t sleep on the rhubarb!!! It is absolutely delicious. Highly recommend.
Highly recommend to book this experience. The snack board was fresh and delicious, presentation was top notch. The Gins were all fantastic, so hard to choose which ones to bring home. The origin story is lovely and always want to support women in business. The bothy song at the end had us in tears . 100% recommend 👌
Absolutely fantastic in all respects! Delightful location; great tasting experience - both the guns and food; staff polite, professional and could not have been more helpful. No pressure to complete our visit and a great shop and relevant exhibitions to look at. Outstanding value too! Completely recommend!
What a great experience! We really loved the gin tasting. We felt so warm and welcome and had an amazing time with delicious gins and great company by the other guests. At first we were a bit surprised that the tasting was not accompanied by a person but with a video. But actually it was really good that way, because during the tasting itself we to know the other guests better and had a lovely time together with them! We also ordered an additional sharing platter for two people and shared it among us three. We definitely can recommend that experience! Even if you're more into whisky tastings that's an awesome experience.
Fascinating mix of (great) drinks, interesting chat and some tasty food on the charcuterie board we pre-ordered to go along with our tasting session. It was just my wife and I and we were lucky to have our session delivered by the owner herself, and it was just amazing to hear her story and her journey so far. Cannot recommend this experience enough.
Lovely little place. Staff are very helpful and polite. Parking is a bit hit and miss as its not a very big place. We visited midweek in November and there wasn't much space for parking then. That said, It's well worth a visit though.
We did the Classic gin bothy tasting with the ploughman's tasting board. We were the only people on the 12pm session so had the bothy to ourselves. It was a fantasticly set up bothy with the tasting session run over a dvd by the owner Kim. There were 4 different gins to taste with 4 different mixers and 4 different garnishes. There was tea & coffee available for the driver and a driver's pack of 2 small bottles and a mixer to take away and try at home. Laura looked after us very well and apologised that the other 2 bothies that you can normally look around were out of commission due to the recent flooding. The experience was well worth the money and we would return and do it again. Plenty of gin, jam and other goods to purchase in the shop as well.
We just stopped for something to eat and drink - amazing outdoor space, fab friendly and helpful staff, lovely display and explanation of the business. The video could rather be on a motion sensor as it was rather annoying to listen to ask the time while sitting eating. The ploughman's was lovely but could do with more cheese and less bics and bread. Sweets player was amazing, especially the shortbread - unfortunately there was none left for us to but to take home. Cocktails, though very well presented and tasted great im not convinced they had any alcohol in them. Very covid safe which, for an outside venue, is so welcome as most outside spaces are just left to clean themselves. All in all it was a wonderful experience and we would be back.

A very beautiful wee cemetery, the Eassue Pictish Stone is located within the church ruins It is well worth the visit
The stone itself is impressive; it is an almost magical feeling to be close to something that was carved 1300 years ago... And I absolutely understand the need for protection or conservation. Still, I don't find the "phone booth" around the stone appropriate. It is not the newest one, and it is hard to see subtle carvings through the glass.
On the Pictish trail, the church is a short distance down a lane off the highway. Well worth the visit. Many stones and a wonderful cross.
Wonderful location. Worth the drive out for sure!
Eassie Pictish Stone, a Class II Pictish Stone aged around late 600’s. Depicted on the stone are deer, cattle, angels, Celtic knots, large Celtic Cross, circular rings, cloaked warrior with spear, hunting hounds, Pictish beast, potted tree, Double Disc and Z-Rod.
Very historical and so grateful we have the NHS as so many died so young. Very talented people who carved the stones
Definitely worth a little stop. Beautiful church, lovely views and I was so glad to see the stone protected.
Nice atmospheric place. The stone inside the ruined church is worth seeing if in the area.

It really nice to walk around.

We visited last night for an open evening. My wife and I got chatting with one of the club members (didn't catch his name, sadly) and he was really happy to show us around and chat about the cars and upcoming events. I can't believe I hadn't been in until now. We'll be back for sure.
Monthly Cars and Coffee visit and meet up , great informative collection of Transport, Agricultural vehicles and display of vintage motorcycles .
Great place. Lots of lovely old cars
Brilliant displays. Great insight into our motoring past.
We had an excellent day at the Vintage Rally today 8 July 2017, weather was very good and plenty to see & do. I have been going with my husband for almost 15 years and always had a good time (especially if like today the weather is good. The only issue I had today is the lack of seating round the grounds for elderly & disabled to have a rest. Personally I found it quite hard going today as I now have sciatica in my leg & arthritis in my spine and although we had stopped a couple of times at catering vans for a coffee & seat, by the time we were ready to go back to our car I was hardly able to walk. Wouldn't it be possible for some form of seating be placed at areas around the grounds, especially around the arena, even straw bales would be helpful for elderly & those like myself who are struggling to walk.
Went to see off the CSVMCC Rally
These guys are doing a great job at keeping history alive. Small museum with auctions and shows at events around the country.Check times.
Wonderful club dedicated to the true enthusiast be it agricultural, classic or vintage . Regular auctions and a fantastic show every July . I've had many a great day with the SVVC . Rob Armstrong
