True to its name, this park features six different types of flowers. You can search for the flowers in the picture while taking a leisurely stroll. There are several exhibition spaces here showcasing a variety of hand-drawn and related artworks. There are also vast meadows and art sculptures. The sound of the flowing stream and the chirping of birds in the trees create the most natural white noise. If possible, please spend some time here, as it will bring you great peace of mind.
An interesting privately maintained garden by a confectionary house that has little wooden huts that have a display of artworks. It also has a nice clear stream at its back which is very calming. Coffee, tea and some biscuits are offered at some of the huts as refreshment and generally great for taking a break. As you are exiting, there's a nice gift shop to pick up some tasty treats.
A botanical park and mini art museum. Estimate an hour to visit all the art galleries scattered in the park. The confectionary shop Rokkatei features six local flowers which are featured as the wrapping paper can be seen there (depends on the seasons) Entrance fee applies for the park, not for the cafe. There was self-serviced free coffee and a cookie at one of the galleries (No.3)
Quiet thoughtfully curated art in the wild. Def worth the time. They also offer umbrellas onsite during rain seasons.
Fascinating museum spread across several huts within a forest.
Absolutely worth the trip, had a wonderful morning here. The outdoor spaces are beautiful and I very much enjoyed the exhibitions. As well as the original Rokkatei artwork / the wallpaper room, there are a number of indoor exhibitions showcasing some beautiful artwork mostly of Hokkaido landscapes.
It is the exhibitions that stand out instead of the landscape itself in my view. The restaurant is worth a visit for a relaxing afternoon tea. Overall a good check point only if you have a few days around here.
Very nice garden and galleries. The cafe there is great too.

I recently visited Road Station Nakasatsunai and it turned out to be more than just a place to take a quick break from driving. The facilities are well thought out, with a main plaza that has a restaurant, souvenir shop, and food stalls offering local specialties like fried chicken, curry, and fresh dairy treats. I also enjoyed browsing the fresh produce corner, where local farmers sell vegetables and even fresh eggs from a vending machine. What sets this road station apart is the variety of experiences it offers. Aside from food and shopping, there are museums such as the Bean Museum and the Pioneer History Museum, which give visitors a glimpse into the region’s culture and past. The outdoor area is also beautiful, with a pond, open grassy spaces, and views of the surrounding farmland and Hidaka Mountains, making it a pleasant spot to stroll around. Families are well accommodated here too, with an indoor kids’ play area, a nursing room, and even vending machines for baby items. Practical touches like the EV charging station and clean, modern restrooms make the stop even more convenient. It can get crowded during peak travel times, and some facilities have limited hours in winter, but overall, Road Station Nakasatsunai is a great stop that combines food, culture, and relaxation in one place.
One stop shop for lunch, snack, souvenirs, ice cream, eggs and fresh veggies.
Very nice Resting stop. We took the bus to here and rent the bike for Rokkatei. High quality restroom. Lots of shop and small restaurant.
The 小肉skewer ¥90 was delicious. So is the fried chicken don..¥700. I thought twice about staying overnight there coz of that 5G tower just across the road..
Best place to take a short break after drive

There are lots of beans. Everyone should go, especially if you haven’t bean.
(Translated by Google) This is a museum about beans such as azuki beans and soybeans. I was surprised to learn for the first time that the beans used in sekihan are not adzuki beans, but cowpea beans. The reason why cowpeas are used was also interesting. There was also a display of samples of bean dishes, including some unfamiliar bean dishes such as pressed soybeans and handmade hamburgers, and I was impressed by the variety of dishes that can be made from beans. There were also exhibits on the history of Obihiro's bean production, as well as exhibits on each type of bean, making it a very fun museum to browse through. I don't think there are many places where you can see so many different kinds of beans. It looks like an old Western-style building, but there are also some parts with modern interiors. The toilets are also clean. It's free. It's also a good place to visit with your children. The Tokachi Countryside Museum and the Bean Museum are two of the highlights within the Road Station Nakasatsunai complex, and both are worth exploring if you want a deeper connection with the local culture. The Tokachi Countryside Museum (開拓記念館) focuses on the history of settlement in the region. It tells the story of how pioneers developed the Tokachi plains, showcasing old farming tools, household items, and documents that reflect the lifestyle of early settlers. Walking through the exhibits feels like stepping back in time, giving you a sense of the hardships and determination that shaped the community. It’s a quiet but meaningful stop if you want to understand the roots of rural Hokkaido life. The Bean Museum (ビーンズ邸), on the other hand, is more playful and unique. Since Nakasatsunai is famous for its beans, this museum celebrates that reputation with creative displays, quirky bean-themed exhibits, and educational panels. It introduces visitors to the different varieties of beans grown locally, their uses, and their importance in the region’s agriculture. The museum has a fun, lighthearted atmosphere, making it enjoyable not just for adults but also for kids.
(Translated by Google) If you like old things, antiques, and antiques, I think it's a good idea to visit, even if you're not interested in beans. It's probably an old building that was renovated into a bean museum, but the layout is very good, and it's hard to believe it's free. As soon as you enter, there is a corner introducing various types of beans, and at first glance it looks like you've entered a fashionable general store. As you proceed further, you will find a living room-like space with antique furniture, and in the back there are carefully displayed tools and other items that were used in the past, which I found very interesting. It's an irresistible space for antique lovers (although it may be a replica). It doesn't seem very popular, so I highly recommend it! !

I was struck by the sign at the entrance and the display of disinfectant. (Translated by Google) It's a free facility, yet incredibly impressive. The building itself is very old, but very well maintained. The interior has a lovely, slightly Western feel to it, and the space is spacious. The building's windows are double-glazed with wooden frames, and it was fascinating to see how they were designed to survive the harsh winters back then. There are displays of items and farming tools from that time, as well as an easy-to-understand introduction to the agricultural history of Tokachi beans, so it's well worth a visit. There are also many recipe booklets for bean dishes, and I ended up buying a bunch of beans at the shop next door. (Translated by Google) About 12 or 3 years ago During my last summer in high school, I traveled from a town 70km away with four friends on my mamachari, carrying large luggage and traveling for more than half a day. We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days, and at that time, the number of people camping was small, and I felt that this campground was being used by a core group of people with good manners and common sense. It was right around the time of the meteor shower, and at night there were so many stars of all sizes that I had never seen before that I forgot to talk and just kept looking at them. Even now, when I meet up with those friends, I hear the sound of a big shooting star. Even though I had never fished before, I borrowed a fishing rod from the manager and, without knowing the name or method of fishing, I grilled and ate the fish, but now I'm too scared to do that. There were many deer and foxes, and there were also reports of bear sightings, so we were alerted by local government patrols, and we ventured out in fear as we ventured out to test our mettle.Nowadays, I have fond memories of the walk, but back then it wasn't that great. The manager had told me a lot about the bear incident that had happened in the Wangel club in the past, and he had warned me that there would be bears here. Looking back, it may have been a prank on the part of the administrator, but as high school students who didn't know anything about it, we had no choice but to believe it. I received a beer from an old man who was solo with his dog and drank it. My flip phone didn't charge for a day, there were huge bugs in the shower room, and I was running out of food. I will never forget this campsite where I marked the end of my youth. I'm away from Hokkaido now, but when I return home, I get together with a few people and talk about this campsite every year. I've heard that they're charging for it, but I hope it doesn't go away in the future. And someday, the four of us will visit this campsite again and watch the meteor shower. Everyone please use it with care. Unfortunately, it was extremely windy for two days and we couldn't do any activities, but we were able to spend our time with peace of mind because we were living in a living box. It was a wonderful natural space filled with the light woodworking sounds of the red woodpeckers. There are some people who are criticizing various things due to the charge, but such people should go to high-standard campgrounds, glamping, or hotels. Water is a valuable resource stored in tanks, and toilets are Japanese-style only if they don't flush. I could see that various efforts had been made to maintain and manage the building. I had a very meaningful time listening to the staff at the center talk about bears. I once again felt the fear of wild animals and the fear of mountains. The administration building sells firewood, meat, beer, wine, and seasonings, so I felt safe even if I forgot to buy something. There are paid showers. There is also a hot spring called ``Airport Spa Sora'' 20 minutes away by car. Towels and shampoo are included, so you can go to the hot springs empty-handed. It's expensive though. The campsite is divided into A, B, and C. A is popular and crowded near the river. B is good because it is shaded by the forest, but the plot is small. C is a field and there is no shade, but the plot is large so I don't have to worry about my neighbors too much. Something like that. The ground is hard, so strong pegs are essential. The homepage says ``Nothing! That's great! '', but if your purpose is to spend some time relaxing in nature, I think it's a great place. There were also events held on the weekends (pizza making, a competition called Molukku, nature observation, river fishing, craft classes), and I wanted to participate if the timing was right. If you separate your trash and bring it to the administration building the next morning, it will be collected. [Collection time has been decided! ] Site A, which is near the river, seems to be popular because of its nice atmosphere, but personally, the sound of the river is quite loud and bothers me at night, so if you're looking for peace and a perfect night sky, I recommend Site C. If it's midsummer, it might be tough because there's no shade. If it continues to rain, the river will rise and become dangerous, so it's best to consider the weather at least a week in advance when making reservations for Site A before deciding whether to stay there. Nakasatsunai is known for edamame and chicken, so I bought some at the roadside station and ate it grilled or charcoal-grilled and it was delicious. It may have been a coincidence, but I was glad that there was a fee and there weren't any campers making too much noise. Most of the rental equipment is Snow Peak gear. Due to the recent heavy rains, we were not able to play in the Satsunai River or the tributaries that flow through the grounds, but it was very quiet and we were able to enjoy nature in the darkness. It was especially nice to be able to see countless stars all over the sky in the spacious grounds. I thought the sky was this wide. This time, we used section 8 of site B. It was true that the ground was hard and it was difficult to insert the pegs, but since I usually use a stone-headed hammer, I was able to drive the pegs in without any difficulty. You may not be able to hit it with a light camping hammer. The fee was just over 3,000 yen per night for a family of four, but I think it's a reasonable amount. There was no trash left, the toilet was cleaned, all trash was picked up (there are set times), and the shower was cheap at 100 yen for 20 minutes and was very clean. I thought it was cheap compared to what I usually use campgrounds in Kanto. This time there were only a few guests, so we were able to use the toilets and kitchen without getting particularly crowded, but considering the number of sites, I think it would be nice to have one more toilet and kitchen. However, the screen door in the toilet was not set up well, and there was a section where the site number display made of driftwood had fallen down, so I think it would be good to improve that. It was a great campsite to relax and relax in nature.

(Translated by Google) I climbed the mountain on August 4, 2014, stayed in a tent at Hanosawa encounter, and headed for the summit. There were strong winds and thick fog at the top of the mountain, with no visibility. I went up the left bank of the Satsunai River, but I couldn't see Hachinosawa on the right bank, so I went far upstream, and then went down the right bank and found Hachinozawa. Since I was going solo, I recommend going on Saturdays and Sundays when there are a lot of climbers, when it's easier to get information while climbing. The summit of 100 Famous Mountains was ``Mt. Horoshiri'' on August 13, 2009, the summit of 200 Famous Mountains was ``Mt. Kamui Ekuchikaushi'' on August 4, 2014, and the summit of 300 Famous Mountains was August 17, 2014. We finished the race on Mt. Oputateshike without any major accidents. The rucksack that was taken away by the raccoon must not be returned. It's a golden rule. The leopard is vindictive.
