You have to see it with your own eyes in order to understand how amazing this sanctuary really is. The architecture is amazing, the story behind is even better. I would totally recommend to use the audio guide
Beautiful pilgrimage site. It was amazing to visit the home of St Ignatius of Loyola; a truly blessed experience.
London UK Europe France, Italy, Vanice Rome, Austria, Spain, Assisi, Lourdes, Portugal Fatima. Vatican City, Rome. Switzerland Beautiful Places. Beautiful Experience
About 65°F. High clouds. Not crowded. Somewhat off the beaten path. Nice day trip from San Sebastián.
The place where St. Ignatius was born. The house of his parent. Quiet, nice place and very beautiful panoramic. Place for praying and reflextion.
It is the Basilica surrounding the house of St Ignatius Loyola where he was born and later had his conversion experience. It's a holy place. The house of Ignatius is beautiful and is preserved in is original glory. The room where he had his conversion is turned into a chapel. It's the centre of the world for the Jesuits and the Ignatian family.
Amazing!! Pray from Indonesia.
Moving experience to see the home of St Ignatius. Beautiful basilica and grounds.

It was cool to see all that trains from 3 centuries. And it was like travel to the past. And also this village is beautiful. Entrance for kids free and for adults just 3 euro.
Excellent railway Museum. I was lucky enough to visit on a weekend when the steam train was running. It’s a 40 min ride along a very scenic valley with vintage carriage and stations. The rest of the museum is well worth a visit too with a great collection of rolling stock.
Well worth the visit. Good museum with plenty of train exhibits to walk around and have a look at. Train historys have English translation, but unfortunately the other exhibits didn't, a slight negative. A stream train ride is possible, didn't take so no info on times. Would certainly recommend
Great fun! Open at weekends. Train trips 12.00 and 17.00 Saturdays and 12.00 Sundays. Trip on steam train for 40 minutes included in the €6 ticket. Arrive an hour or so before the train to look at the museum and buy tickets, which aren’t available online. Oh and the staff are super friendly and helpful and speak good English. They even helped us out by calling another attraction for us! 👌🏻
Very pretty museum! We were late for the steam train (thanks to the bus driver that drove by 15 minutes early and shrugged at us across the street from the bus stop) but it was lovely all the same. All the trains on display are very charming and fascinating to look at and read about. There was a white+orange cat that welcomed us.
Excellent railway museum, 3 Euros entrance fee. There are static displays of various trains and other rolling stock both outside and in a large shed. Most displays have descriptions written in Spanish, Basque, French and English. The is also a workshop (see picture) and a section which has displays of timekeeping (watches and clocks) and uniforms. The staff were very helpful and as it was not overly busy when I arrived, one of the staff came around part of the museum to assist me. As a wheelchair user I can recommend this museum, access is very good across all the site, with a lift to access the upper floors. The staff were very helpful giving just the right level of support without being overbearing. I did need to skip the front castors a bit to get over the train tracks (these are inset into the floor outside), but it was not too problematic. I believe there is a steam train which you can ride on for an extra fee, but I did not go on this. I am therefore unsure if this is wheelchair accessible. This is an interesting museum, especially if you are a train enthusiast. It is accessible and has excellent staff. Recommended for a trip out.
The railway museum is an amazing place with a lot to see and do. You can explore train carriages from different eras, even go under a real train! The hall of machine tools from the former mechanical workshop is particularly impressive, especially when you see it in action. It takes about an hour to see all of the exhibits, and I highly recommend visiting!
Must visit this place entry fee is around 4-5 Euros

Excellent cheese made from a lovely family at the top of the hill of Azpeitia. John & his sister treated us very nicely and explained us the entire production process. I recommend pass by this factory to get real good basque cheese. Thank you !! Charlotte & Kyle
(Translated by Google) Brilliant! Jon showed us the process of making the cheese, letting us know the day before, then he gave us a taste and it was delicious. Nothing to do with the one in the supermarket. Of course we took as much as we could. An exceptional environment as much as Jon. 100% recommended (Original) ¡Genial! Recomendable 100%
(Translated by Google) In addition to making excellent, quality cheeses, it's located on Mount Xoxote, offering extraordinary views of Azpeitia and the Sanctuary of San Ignacio de Loyola. Jon is very friendly and was kind enough to show me the cheese factory and the views, to inform me about the most interesting things to see in Azpeitia, and, above all, to make sure I buy Ignacios, a delicious almond dessert typical of the town.
(Translated by Google) We stopped on the way down from the Basque country to Barcelona and it was the best thing we could do. Edurne, a loving person, opened the doors of her house to us despite having to go to a funeral shortly, she gave us cheese tastings that are incredibly good, she taught us how to make cheese. The place where the house is located is wonderful. Without a doubt, when I return to the area I will stop again, apart from ordering online (they also deliver to your home). Thank you Edurne for being so pretty and for those wonderful cheeses. ♥️
(Translated by Google) Delicious and authentic Idiazabal cheese. The owner is super friendly, explaining battles and the history of the cheese factory, making for a pleasant time! The cheese is very reasonably priced! And the surroundings and views are incredible! Y ek entorno y vistas increibles!
(Translated by Google) Simply SPECTACULAR!!! The owner is a lovely woman. We arrived without warning, and she didn't hesitate to dedicate a few hours to explain the entire Idiazabal Cheese-making process. The cheese they make is exquisite and full of nuances. Don't hesitate to visit this haven of peace, beautiful views, and even better cheese! Thank you for everything!!! (Original) Sencillamente ESPECTACULAR!!!
(Translated by Google) We were looking for a cheese to take with us to Barcelona but we took much more with us. It was wonderful that they so generously explained to us how the cheese was made from start to finish, gave us a taste and did it all with so much love. We even got to try apple candy which, along with the cheese, was to die for. 100% recommended. 100% recomendado.
(Translated by Google) We stopped yesterday before returning from vacation and the shame is that we had not gone sooner. The cheese factory is amazing, and just because of where it is located it is worth the visit. But the thing is that the family that runs it is also charming. They open the doors to you and explain in great detail the process of making their cheeses. It is a luxury that in this fast-paced society they serve you with so much love and dedication. You can tell that they are passionate about what they do and that is transmitted to their cheeses... Because although the customer service is good, the cheese they make... Leaves you speechless. It's really worth the trip there. Without a doubt we will come back for more ❤️ (Original) Paramos ayer antes de volver de vacaciones y la pena es que no hubiésemos ido antes.
