Qiandao Lake (simplified Chinese: 千岛湖; traditional Chinese: 千島湖; pinyin: Qiāndǎo Hú; lit. 'Thousand Island Lake') is a man-made freshwater lake located in Chun'an County, Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China, that was formed after the completion of the Xin'an River hydroelectric station in 1959.
Not worth visiting if you’re short on time. Islands were crowded and quite boring, need to pay to even go on the second deck of the sightseeing boat. However view of the lake was decent. Tourist service was also substandard and lacks honesty. Food was good, though and worth a try. Was not worth the time and money for such a short trip and does not fully deserve the hype.
