Picturesque, historic mountainside church, circa 1625, with a tranquil atmosphere.

An incredibly powerful spiritual place, sanctified by pilgrims in an extraordinarily breathtaking location. I experienced similar emotions in Montserrat. We happened to attend a Service during a thunderstorm – and felt even more protected. I highly recommend everyone to visit!
Absolutely stunning! A wonderful place to visit. Great photo opportunity, but a mstvellous church. A 20 minute walk down-hill from the parking area, scattered with religious artefacts. Free parking and entry. I would suggest getting the bus back @ €2 pp.
One of the cost free stunning things you can do whilst staying in the region. If arriving by car follow the first signs that you see for ‘free car parking’. Not many people use this car park because it’s not the one the GPS/ Navigation takes you to but trust me, it’s great because it also leads you to the little undiscovered path that provides you with the best views of the valley and the Santuario Madonna. We were there taking in the view for almost 45mins and no other person came (see picture). The church itself is small but impressive in that it has been literally carved into the mountain side and from within the church you can see how the church also shares its foundations with the mountain. Spectacular. It’s a fairly steep walk down and of course back up but wasn’t too onerous for us. There’s also a bus service for the weary but it’s only a small bus with often a big queue to come back up.
A work out to get to/fro, but well worth it. I recommend a bag for a water bottle, layers, a few coins for offerings, patience, endurance and gratitude. It is beautiful, historic, religious and serene place, not to mention astonishing how they carved the church out of the mountainside!
Santuario Madonna della Corona is an excellent day trip option from Verona and the surrounding areas. Unless you're looking for an extreme workout, I would highly recommend coming in from the top entry in Spiazzi. They have a walking tour of the Stations of the Cross that starts behind the hotel above the Santuario and winds its way down a paved pathway to the entrance. There's a beautiful church, Remembrance hall, gift shop, and amazing views. Depending on your fitness level and interest, allow at least 2-4 hours.
Beautiful church and shrine built into the side of the mountain with some very interesting artifacts inside. It's well worth the visit if you are in the area. Lots of stairs so you may need sticks if you're bad on your feet. There are quite a few bars and restaurants nearby to recover.
Madonna della Corona is one of the most unique and spiritual places I have ever visited. The sanctuary itself, built into the side of a mountain, is truly breathtaking. On a clear day, the views of the surrounding valley and cliffs are absolutely stunning. When we visited, the weather was rainy and foggy, which gave the whole place a mystical and almost otherworldly atmosphere. Even without the sunshine, I still enjoyed every moment of being there. In front of the church entrance, visitors have the opportunity to light a candle, which adds a touching and personal moment to the experience. Inside, the church feels very peaceful and sacred, inviting you to slow down and reflect. Whether you come for the faith, the history, or simply to admire the location and architecture, Madonna della Corona is a place that leaves a lasting impression. It is both a spiritual journey and a breathtaking natural experience.
We spent the day walking around the trails surrounding the sanctuary which can cater to both light and intense hikes. The scenic view from the terrace and entrance is incredible but at moment I only have photos from one of the trails and it is taken from afar. I would suggest going on a weekday to avoid parking issues and crowds.

Best views. Nonpeople and if you have fast car or bike you will love the twisties up there. Nature there is still as it was 20years ago.
Perfect for coffee and strudel break 👍💟
(Translated by Google) A magnificent road up that demands a lot from the driver. Not for the faint-hearted. The view from Monte Baldo makes up for the effort of the drive. The last few meters to the top must be covered on foot. A wonderful experience! (Translated by Google) Observatory placed in an extraordinary position. Reachable in 25 minutes by car from Rovereto without major difficulties, the road is narrow but asphalted. Almost at the top of Zugna it has excellent visibility obviously on the mobile phone but also on Valagarina. Attached to the refuge to eat and if desired a stone's throw from the top of Zugna reachable on foot on a forest road. (Original) Osservatorio piazzato in posizione straordinaria.
(Translated by Google) Closed in winter so I can't express an opinion (I'm writing in February)... from the outside it's very well kept, with a panoramic view of the valley... next to the Zugna refuge... asphalted and clean road... on summer evenings, the observatory organizes several events...
(Translated by Google) Excursion with good landscape and historical level. Very simple, entirely practicable with hiking trails. The duration of the ascent depends on where you leave the car, you can reach the Monte Zugna Observatory by car, an hour from the summit. This route is an open-air First World War museum, all well signposted with comprehensive explanations. Good view of the small Dolomites, you can see Pasubio and Carega 2 steps away. Then the view extends from Monte Baldo to Adamello, the Brenta to the Marmolada and the Dolomites.
(Translated by Google) Front line in the 1914-1918 war. From the town of Albaredo to the top of Mount Zugna there is a succession of positions, trenches, buildings and shelters. Even of cemeteries. The road stops at the Zugna refuge where there is also an astronomical observatory. The path leads to a water reservoir, with buildings (worth seeing) and continues to the top. Magnificent view! All of this makes you meditate on the tragedy of war!
