This was the first hotel we stayed at on our west highland way journey. Rooms were well maintained and clean. We shared a bathroom with one other room which wasn't bad. Staff was great and we were even able to check in early which was so appreciated after a long day. Dinner was fantastic. One of the best we had during our 12 days in Scotland.
We had an excellent meal for two here. Though they were extremely busy, all the young waiting staff were refreshing very attentive and with such a good professional approach. Not surprisingly the service was excellent and food well presented and delicious. Many thanks for making our last evening of our break in Loch Lomond feel special.
This is the second time we’ve eaten here and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere is so lovely - cosy and quaint with nice decor too. The staff are friendly and made us feel welcome. The food was 10/10 - tons of choice, big portions and delicious. I had the seafood trio to start and it tasted so fresh. The salmon was incredible - full of flavour and presented beautifully. We had multiple cocktails too and every single one was really nice and presented well. We can’t recommend this place enough - it’s a treasure.
Rooms were very clean although basic, staff were very friendly. We also ate there, the food was great and the service was good. The only downside was the shared bathroom, which didn't matter as there weren't other guests, however we would have heard everything they did as we could hear each other. Location was good, a car park not far away.
We only visited for dinner, excellent food. The lasagne was one of the best I have had! Service was very attentive, reasonably priced drinks compared to other local places. Would recommend for a nice pub meal!
Fantastic service from the minute we walked in. The team there seemed like a solid family. Atmosphere was fantastic. Cocktails where exceptional and the Irish stew was phenomenal. Top marks all round.
There for lunch. Food was fine. Table of 5, including a high chair - we were seated at a table where we constantly felt in the way, always having to make way for other customers or staff. No real thinking as to where would be best to seat a bigger table. Very busy Sunday lunch time, so probably would be ok the rest of the time.
Fabulous cosy pub with character and friendly welcome. Large drinks menu. Really enjoyed our meals here, particularly the steak pie. Desserts are yummy and generous. Moderately priced. Pretty village.

Booked last minute while walking the WHW. It was just what we needed for a wet day. Lovely welcome from the staff. Our room was room 5, the room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was a little tired but functional (no toilet brush), the basin is small and difficult to fill the kettle, but doable. However, there is a bottle of water, but we used that for drinking water. Booked a table for our evening meal and had a very tasty meal (compliments to the chef). The staff were very polite and helpful. Breakfast was tasty and would set us up for the day.
We didn’t stay in the rooms. But we went out for a family meal suggested by a family member who lives up there. The atmosphere was so friendly for younger kids as well. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and the meals for the kids were great. The food was very well priced and the food was amazing. Definitely go there if you get the opportunity I will be going back there again. 10/10 on everything.
Absolutely fantastic food! I should have taken photos to include, but unfortunately didn't. I had the spicy chicken enchiladas and they were fab. Loads of chicken inside. The portions were massive, I couldn't finish all my meal as there was so much. The other three dining with me also thoroughly enjoyed their meals (venison lasagnes and burger). Staff were really friendly too. I would highly recommend this place.
Only gave a 4* as we didn’t eat, but from the menu and the food that we seen coming out of the kitchen I think it won’t be long before I upgrade the score. Other than that the staff where lovely, the drinks where too. Said we would be back and we did. Food was lovely. Sorry forgot to take a photo before starting to eat.
hi Team, thank you for your great hospitality. We stayed at your place for the first time last week, but will definitely return. The service, athmosphere, breakfast and the twin room (Dumgoyne) was just awesome. We have also enjoyed the good conversation with Stewart. It was fun to see how he did his best to offer your choice of Islay whiskys. In the end it was a Bunnahabain 12yrs, which I liked very much. Keep going and enjoy :) Cya soon Andy
We stayed at a campsite down the road and came here for a good breakfast before we left. The food was fantastic, the staff were welcoming and it was a lovely pub! We actually forgot some sunglasses and they kindly posted them back up to us - can’t recommend enough.
Ate here a couple of times while camping/ hiking in Trossachs. Food is excellent with service good also. One complaint from last visit where we stopped in for breakfast and to watch the Lions game on a Weds morning in July. The bar was almost empty think there was 1 other customer when we arrived. Asked for TV to be put but a rather sour faced staff member moaned that we would have to watch with no sound. We thought she was joking but a bit later when the game started we asked again, got right moaning face where she turned up the sound but only to an almost inaudible level. By the time the game started there were another 3/4 customers all of whom seemed to be interested in watching the game. Seeing as the bar promotes itself as a Sports Bar its perhaps worthwhile telling some of the staff. Hopefully be better next time we visit.
Excellent pub, drinks and food, and lovely staff! We stopped in Drymen for a night during our road trip in Scotland and were lucky enough to catch the quiz night (Wednesday), which we strongly recommended doing!
