Ruins of a medieval castle complex, with a tower offering panoramic views & guided tours.

A well maintained castle ruins 5-10min walk uphill from the town. There will be a €3.50 adult and/or €2 child entrance fee. The ticket counter also sells booklets, snacks and provides a clean bathroom for use. Overall the sightseeing and walk through the castle takes around 30 minutes to an hour. There are many view points and places to hang around. Only wish they gave a little more detailed descriptions of the areas of the castle. It was fun exploring the rooms and corridors but I wish they were well lit, especially going up the stairs of the tower. Obviously if it is your first time, do climb up the tower. It will be a few flights of stairs but the view is decent, overlooking the entire town and mountain range. You can even spot a little skyline view of Frankfurt. I do enjoy coming here, the grounds are spread out and nice for an afternoon stroll or walking the dog. Last admission to the castle is 4.30pm before they close at 5.
Königstein Fortress is a beautiful piece of history in the vicinity of the vibrant City of Frankfurt am Main. Enjoy the fortress as well as the amazing panoramic views from the top of the fortress. Great for a short day trip and always good a nice stroll in the nature.
Realy beautiful place. Königstein Castle is absolutely worth seeing and brings the imagination of young and old to life. There is a nice view from the tower. Ticket € 3.50 per adult. There is a WC
Wonderful castle on a walking route of 3 castles in the area. This was the best. View from the tower is well worth the effort 🙂. Autumn colours added to the beaty...
The Castle of Burgruine Konigstein is a nice one for kida and family visit. Not too busy place and a half day tour for the town and Castle is fine. Beautiful view from top of the tower of the Castle. My boy enjoyed the place. Restaurants, Italian icecream, and souvenir shop along the road to Castle. Easy communication from Frankfurt and nearby towns. Ticket eur 3.5 for adalts and 2 for kids.
The castle used to be owned by the kingdom ruling Konigstein area. While it was ruined hundreds years ago by a war, but as the symbol of Konigstein, the town decided to keep it, even they make the shape of the ruined castle as their sign. I was here back in December 2024, though 20 years apart, this place still stands out itself up on the hill, as the guardian of the Konigstein town.
A very nice place but the amount of wasps shocked us! If you have any allergy - be careful!
Really interesting place. The kids like it very much. A lot of places to run and very nice view. It is a good idea to bring a flashlight, since there are dark and spooky corridors. The kids were in heaven, after we went through them. There are a entry ticket 3€ for person bigger than 14 and 1.5€ for kids bigger than 4.

Very nice place to relax if you are looking for peace solitude and a good sauna selection! In addition there is such an idyllic swimming pool outside and a nice one indoors. Great sauna selection and the people are very friendly and uncomplicated. I liked the 60s style, it has a charm because it is very well maintained. I recommend it!
A very good choice if you want to relax and good value for the money. The terrace pool is available at any time and the built-in jacuzzi has a temperature of 38+*C all the time, it's just fantastic. On top, there are a couple of water massage stations. Variation of saunas, quiet room, restaurant with terrace and a perfect sightseeing on the castle on the hill. It's definitely worth 9 Eur, try it out!
Nice little pool with a beautiful view from the outdoor swimming area. They have two swimming pools and one small pool for babies/kids. Outside is a whirlpool, three massage showers and plenty of underwater benches to relax. Showers and dressing rooms are basic, but good. The price of 9€ is absolutely acceptable for two hours, since the water temperature is higher (29° and 32°) than in regular public swimming pools. They also offer a sauna which I did not visit, but might do so next time.
Very nice facility with enough space and pool area to accommodate a lot of guests at the same time. They do have both indoor and outdoor pools, which are also temperature controlled. There are also infant/toddler pools, which makes it easy to attract all kind of guests to have a good time. The changing rooms, shower area, sauna, etc. - everything is very well equipped and spacious. The entry cost is quite reasonable and you have completely flexible tariffs depending on how many hours you want to spend. The parking area is a little small and can really become a bottleneck on busy days, but you can easily park in the nearby streets or public parking zones - and walk up to the pools.
One of the more expensive pools around Frankfurt, it offers a 25m indoor pool with just 6 lanes, a small restaurant, an outdoor pool with 32°C and great views of the valley. Infrastructure is becoming old, and there are not enough parking spaces (and the parking is not cheap). All in all, apart from the view, most frankfurt pools are better all-around.
This was really bad experience, outdoor pool had cold water and indoor full of children playing with the ball in the swimming pool where people wanted to swim. But the sauna was funniest place, no towels or sheets for visitors ( this is really hygienic minimum, trust me) and we were sitting in the dry finish sauna when some very" smart" lady needed a fresh air, so she left the sauna door opened and not only once, it is maybe some local tradition 😂 sorry, but please try to manage your staff to take care for safety of all swimming people and to teach the people how to use sauna.Because if they want some fresh air they could go hiking ...but finish saune where I am feeling cold it is not ok. There has to be hot because it is sauna 🤷
Lovely view when you are in the outdoor swimming pool. The toilet is very untidy. Everything is like 80’. There are only two swimming pools. The sunbath area is only with concrete.
You can both swim inside and outside the building. The swimming area is quite nice and modern although the sauna area need some refurbishment however. You can park your car for free. They small restaurant can be found on swimming pool level.
