Hotel was an overnight stop for a party of eleven motorcyclists so we needed parking space of which there was plenty. Arriving on Sunday afternoon after reception was closed, the keys had been left in coded lockers so there was no delay in getting to the rooms. These were comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was excellent and the staff welcoming and friendly. Definitely would recommend.

This place had a very odd history. A famous TV Chef came and advised the last proprietor on improving his quality. The cringeworthy and pretentious menu that was so much made "popular" via a TV program and the local Press that people claimed how good the food was. In fact my two visits only convinced me that the food was mediocre "Schnell Imbiss" quality at best. The Hexenhauschen is a cosy small resturant with a nice ambience and is ideal for small groups or couples. Despite the above negative tone, I can say that since new people have taken over the place, the food quality has vastly improved, with freshly cooked meals of tasty German cooking. Gone are the microwave small bread rolls etc. I can recommend this Resturant now and say one will enjoy not only a pleasant meal but also a homely atmosphere that the staff provide, without the pretentious ness of the past. The Star Chef that once provided his "wisdom" has since himself closed down his own Hamburger Steak House Restaurant. Lengerich has few places where one can go out for a meal, and the downward trend is depressing indeed.
