This was once upon a time a really top hotel in the area! I was thinking to go and sleep there once but I am from Novo mesto and the place becomes far too expensive from my perspective and the staff is just far below average. But I did eat there once a dinner and it was great and I have breakfast there with friends and that did not go wellI. I was thinking to introduce this hotel as one of the best in area but after they call security on me and my friend can’t do that anymore. But I can say that the breakfast is fantastic with everything and with sparkling wine! It costs 20 Euros. Same can say for a dinner. But please don’t talk with guests as this is not allowed there and don’t ever mention my name as they will call security on to you! So if you don’t talk, just smile and don’t complain about nothing as this hotel is part of Terme Krka and then you will be ok! But if you talk with guests or take a camera and record some video then they can become really upset and weird especially managers and some others like you can see it in the video on youtube Goljufi Slovenija Hotel Šmarješke toplice!

- [ ] No available massages on Saturday - the main reason we came - [ ] Nobody letting me know that we needed to book in advance - we figured booking a suite at a spa would be enough of a heads up that we want to use the spa facilities. I also checked the website and it said “direct access to thermal pools and the wellness center” it doesn’t seem so direct seeing as how we don’t have access - [ ] Outdoor pools are closed on Friday - second biggest reason we came - [ ] 99% senior citizens - we were vastly unaware that this was going to feel like an old folks home (this isn’t the vibe we would have chosen during our honeymoon). - [ ] Worst tasting water we’ve had in Slovenia so far which is really unfortunate - [ ] Constant aggravating squeaking noise coming from the radiator in the bathroom next to our room - [ ] The fact that we had to consent to spam email to be able to use the WiFi - [ ] Found out that we can only eat at the low end restaurant which is not very good at all when there are two other nicer restaurants. I was never given the option to have the nicer restaurants because I would’ve happily paid extra for good food for us. This has been the worst food we have had since arriving in Slovenia 9 days ago. - [ ] Air conditioning barely works, I couldn’t cool down for hours last night with the air on full blast

There is no synchronization between the hotel and the tennis courts. There are no rackets in the "sports complex". A serious minus and low level of the owner. I would love to improve, please, from a sporting and administrative point of view!

They offer great pool exercise twice a day, northern walking and many other activities that will reshape your body to more healthy and appealing. Town side is the food - their breakfast, lunch and dinners are so unimaginably delicious, that you will for sure gain weight. But it is worth it!! The rooms are super sound proof, I slept like a baby despite my sleeping problems.

I got married 17 years ago here. I've come back for the pools & specially massages. My last visit here (June 2023) saw a few negatives. #1 Not enough parking places. #2 The front desk person (in the massages area) who I booked a massage with, booked the wrong massage & I wasn't even told..."We apologize for the inconvenience, here's a 5% or 10% discount towards a future massage." #3 The Jacuzzis were broken and I saw no one working/trying to repair them for 2 weeks!

Hotel is old but well maintained and clean. Staff is helpful and polite. Dinner is great. Nice park to walk with the kids. Rooms are comfy and big enough also they are quiet. You can sleep well there. There is a kids play place but its kinda small, I wish there is a big dedicated play room for children. They offer packed food if you leave early (instead of breakfast). Will visit again.

Great wine very friendly family. Thanks to Nika we had a great private tour of the cellars including wine tasting. Ask for the spirit. You can’t buy it but it’s really good. They also make there own olive oil. Very tasty but for us a bit to spicy. Can only recommend the place.
