Absolutely beautiful and definitely worth a visit. The tour guide was amazing and worked really hard to use English throughout the tour. The Gardens are wonderful
Really impressive chateau that is in good condition. Beautiful garden with a nice view of the chateau. The guided tour is interesting, but be aware that they only do a French tour. For the non French speaking they have a booklet which you can follow while following the tour, which sometimes is a bit tedious. The tour guide however is very nice and can explain in English if you ask!
Great castle for a couple of hours or longer if you want. Entry price about right and lovely greeting from the gentleman at the ticket booth. Lovely little village for lunch and great walks outside the castle grounds too including cycle path and ponds.
Really peaceful day out, people working here were so friendly and although small we spent a good couple of hours here in the gardens as well as the small amount inside. Some great pictures in one of the barns of the restoration that started in 1980 with plenty of then and now photos. Situated in a quiet little area with nice cafes right outside. Parking was ample on our visit and entry fee reasonable for the visit. Very relaxing day
I was fascinated with the decor. Unlike anything I've seen, every square inch on walls and ceiling were painted and or decorated in detail. The paint itself glowed, so beautiful in the sunlight. The grounds were gorgeous too, the maze and peacock house were nice surprises.
old large, and well kept better to visite on a sunny day.
Beautiful gardens to stroll and a nice 45-minute guided tour of the chateau (spoken in French but can request notebook translation in other languages). The tour guide will ring the bell in the square with the well so you can wonder around without fear of missing the tour. Parking available right next to the entrance. Several charming restaurants right outside of the chateau to get a drink or eat before or afterward your visit.
Always worth a visit (this our second). Great grounds and guided tour (in French). Fantastic interiors and less than half the price of an equivalent National Trust property in UK ! Highly recommended

An amazing beer garden on the cycle way. A fantastic choice of beers to enjoy in a beautiful garden. (Ice cream too if you want a more stable ride) If you like beer, just ask the very kind and passionate owner to choose for you. You won't be disappointed. Unique and extraordinary. Enjoy.
I was staying at nearby Taizé for a week and getting desperate for a good drink. I remembered seeing Bar Papillion on my way in and heard some good things about it from others so I walked 20 minutes in the pouring rain to find it. And it was 1000% worth it! As well as slaking my thirst I was also treated to a fabulous live Celtic music night! The owner is a wonderful, proud, hard working German gentleman named Wolfgang who knows every inch of his bar and greets his regular guests by name. He can match you up with the perfect beer of your dreams! Highly recommend dropping in if you have the slightest opportunity. I particularly loved all the cockerel statues!
The owner is the most frugal person i have ever seen. If you drink inside the establishment, you have to pay 2€ more for your drink, and when you take it away, he won’t give you your desired beer because he wants those who sit down to pay extra. He told us that we shouldn’t come back anymore and that he won’t serve us anymore just because he didn’t want to. He also is mocking anyone who can’t speak french and treats foreigners badly. The beers were top notch tho👌, just the service is horrible. Avoid this place at all costs, better buy your beers from the local shop.
Very good beer, BUT the owner will try to scam you. The price for the beers is for take-away, but if you want to drink it in the garden, he will charge you 2 euros/ drink. He knows english but he’s pretending that he does not know to scam the clients. Aaaaand he’s drunk all the time.
The beers were very tasty and the location is lovely! However, when we tried to pay for the beers the price stated on the wall was NOT the price at which the owner charged us. In fact he chose to charge us way more than stated and came up with an excuse that didnt really make sense as to why he overcharged us. Its a shame as we were going to have another beer each had he not tried to over charge us.
The beers were good quality but the owner is scamming people. If you want to sit in then you will be charged 2 euros per drink, which is not showed anywhere.
Good quality beers, but the owner is a scammer. The prices in the bar are for take-away,if you want to sit in the garden you will be charged extra 2 euros!!!!And also he will choose which beer you can take away,we left with a sour experience.
The man is a scammer. The beer is good, but the service is very bad. The prices are not the same as on the menu.
