Its a private property. Good place to visit, worth the money(Rs150) given as entry fee. There is a banyan tree growing on the wall of their house with its roots. There are caves, tree houses, many pets, including rabbits, hens, rabbits, fish. Nutmeg trees, different banyan and other trees are there. Those who like nature will love the place also kids. Wash room available is neat and clean. Old things like nannangadi is here. A model of muniyara is made here. Places are there to sit inside the park.
It's a one of a kind park with no cages shut. All the animals walk freely in the park, except of course the fishes. The trees are also unique with many of them made accessible for easier climbing. All of this was made possible because of one person, Mr. Varkey Veliyath who made all of this in his backyard. None of the birds, chickens, and rabbits seemed to be terrified of humans, which shows the love and care he has poured in. It was good to talk to him as well. Would definitely recommend a short visit.
Kauthuka park is a one of its kind places where you can visit in kerala. This is a miniature wildlife sanctuary where it has preserved culture and animals/birds/fishes It has a tree house which structure is made up of living trees and here, the trees which do actually walk on its own There is mother whom you meet who has adopted children who are other than its own (not talking about the humans 😏) Owner of this park has a big heart, he is so generous that he put extra effort for our group photo to make our experience memorable. His love for nature is commendable, his vision and his experties is quite inspiring Do visit Love from Chattisgarh
We came across Kauthuka Park while traveling from Kochi to Guruvayoor and decided to stop by since we had some time to spare. With no expectations going in, we were pleasantly surprised by the experience — it was well worth the visit! The park is a 1-acre biological wonderland located right behind Mr. Varkey’s home, lovingly maintained by him and his wife. They personally take care of all the animals and plants, and it really shows in how clean, peaceful, and vibrant the place is. It’s a unique spot where you can see a variety of pets, birds, and plants, and get a glimpse into the harmony of nature. We spent about 45 minutes here, and it was a refreshing and heartwarming break in our journey. Highly recommended for families, nature lovers, or anyone passing by!
An excellent venture by a single person! The love of nature and the care of animals and birds can be felt. The atmosphere is so warm and positive ! The location on Google map is 500M away but the sign board will take you to the place; this is to avoid getting rerouted through pocket roads and mud roads(as per the owner).
A model ecosystem with all facilities of enjoyment,as specially recommendable for kids, adults and students.nature at its peak setting. Here the birds animals all they are free just like they are living in a forest. Highly appreciable
One time visitable it's ok but highly price Per head 100/- rupees is not worth Very small park ,no drinking water for visitors.
Worth the visit very beautiful place. A life where animals and humans meet. 🤩

Popular riverside recreation area by a dam site, with a suspension bridge & butterfly garden.

Thumboormuzhi Dam is a picturesque and important irrigation project located in the Thrissur district of Kerala, near the famous Thumboormuzhi Gardens. The dam is situated across the Chalakkudy River and serves as a key water source for agricultural purposes in the region. It is also a scenic spot, attracting visitors with its serene surroundings and scenic views of the river and lush greenery. The area around the dam is known for its natural beauty, making it a perfect location for a peaceful getaway or a picnic. The Thumboormuzhi Gardens, located nearby, offer additional attractions, including a butterfly park, fish ponds, and beautiful landscapes, enhancing the overall experience for visitors. Key Features of Thumboormuzhi Dam: • Irrigation Purpose: The primary purpose of the dam is to regulate water flow for irrigation, benefiting nearby farmlands. • Scenic Views: The dam offers stunning views of the Chalakkudy River and surrounding landscapes, ideal for photography and nature walks. • Picnic Spot: The area around the dam is peaceful and perfect for a relaxing day with family and friends. Visitors can also explore the Thumboormuzhi Hanging Bridge, which is located near the dam, and enjoy a walk across the river, further enhancing the experience. The nearby Ezhattumukham and Prakriti Gramam add to the natural charm of the area, making Thumboormuzhi a must-visit for nature enthusiasts.
Nature at its peak. Children and adults can equally enjoy the place. Sound of the river is so beautiful Love it. Children's play area, butterfly park, and hanging bridge are so nice. View from the hanging bridge is so wonderful and the river flows beautifully under the bridge.
It is a nice place and anyone who comes to Athirapally should visit this place, most people miss it.There is a nice hanging bridge here, a children's park, and so much to see.
Thumboormuzhi is the perfect, low-key escape from the busy life. Often overshadowed by the nearby Athirappilly Falls, this little gem offers a quiet, beautiful retreat that's ideal for families, nature lovers, or anyone just needing a breath of fresh air. The star attraction for me was absolutely the Butterfly Garden. It's beautifully maintained and offers a truly magical experience. The Thumboormuzhi Dam area itself is scenic and well-kept. While the dam is functional and impressive in scale, the real thrill is the Hanging Bridge. Crossing the gushing Chalakudy River on this wobbly suspension bridge is an exhilarating experience and gives you some spectacular views of the water rushing below. It connects the Thrissur and Ernakulam districts, and the perspective from the center of the bridge is stunning. There are plenty of grassy, shaded areas perfect for a small picnic. Thumboormuzhi Dam is a mandatory stop if you are traveling to Athirappilly or Vazhachal. It's affordable, clean, and provides a wonderful combination of natural beauty and light adventure . Highly recommended for a half-day trip.
is a popular tourist spot known for its scenic beauty, a hanging bridge, a butterfly garden, and a children's park, all situated near the Chalakudy River. The Thumboormuzhi Dam and Garden lie in the Chalakudy river surrounded by forest and is one of the most sought after tourist spot in Thrissur district. The butterfly garden, children's play area, the hanging bridge etc... there are entertainment opportunities for people of all ages
Thumboormuzhy Garden, a fascinating place which is located on the way to Athirappilly and Vaazhachaal. A hanging suspended steel walkway bridge crossing the river is enchanting. It would be great to go there in the month of August when the river is flowing fully after the rainfall. Walking through the neat and clean green garden is amazing. Ample parking and washrooms available. A small fee of 20rs is to enter the bridge and on the other end there we can try a fish spa treatment. Really superb place to pick some photographs.
Best choice if you love nature and it’s beauty. It took almost an hour from Thrissur to reach there. There are 2 entrances - one from Chalakkudy side and other from Angamaly side. They are connected by a bridge. There is a nice play area for kids and a garden to relax. You can enjoy walking over the hanging bridge. If you are going during summer, you can get down in water and take a nature bath. There are snacks and juice shops. Beware of monkeys. Toilets are clean and hygienic. Amble car parking space available.
Very nice place to relax. Have a children's park. A small snack shop. Beautiful hanging bridge. Co-operative women staff. Beautifully arranged. Have a little entrance fee. On the way Athirappilli waterfalls. Have a parking place. Famous for a butterfly garden. #garden #tourism

Worthy spot for ur summer vacation for kids entertainment. The place is very well maintained and staffs are very courteous and welcoming. All rides are very good and food is good and staffs serving food are welcoming. Safety precautions are very well planned and executed by the staffs. The main highlight is their water rides and it's really very good water without clorine smell and it made us spent a long time in their water rides and pools, wavepool, rain dance etc., still more rides are under construction but definitely worth visiting and spending a day out
The water rides were fun and enjoyable, definitely the highlight of the park. However, the land rides were very short and not that exciting. Overall, a decent experience if you're mainly going for the water attractions.
I recently visited Silverstrome Amusement Park and had a decent experience. The water rides were definitely the highlight—super fun and refreshing, especially on a hot day! There’s a nice variety, and they’re perfect for thrill-seekers. However, the land rides didn’t impress me much. There are only about 5 or 6 rides, and I expected more. It felt like the park was lacking in options compared to other amusement parks I’ve visited. The Snow Storm vibe was pretty cool, but honestly, it wasn’t worth the money. It looked great, but the experience didn’t quite live up to the hype or the cost. Overall, I’d say it’s a good place for a quick visit if you’re into water rides, but don’t expect a huge variety or the best value for money.
Great experience at Silver Storm Snow & Water Park! Clean, well‑maintained rides, fun snow zone, and friendly staff. Perfect spot for families near Athirappilly. Worth visiting
Highly recommended as it is very cheap when compared to other water theme parks. It was rs.1350 including Snow park visit.
I have being visiting this park since I was a child. I always do have fun with my family and friends. Always good experience.
I visited Silver Storm on a weekday. In the morning, I asked about tickets, but there were no discounts — only for NRIs or prior online bookings. Later, at Athirappilly Waterfalls, two Silver Storm staff told me about a 20% discount after 2:00 PM and gave me a coupon. So I visited again in the evening. We entered the Snow Storm with great excitement. Inside, a photographer took pictures of our family and daughter. But after exiting, we were told it costs ₹150 per printed photo, and ₹300 if sent by email — which is quite expensive. However, the staff inside the Snow Storm were very friendly and helpful — truly kind people. Overall, a good experience, especially for my daughter.

Dream World Water Park in Athirappilly is a family-friendly attraction with over 40 rides, including unique water features like a Mermaid Pool and an 8-foot wave pool. Visitors enjoy its well-maintained facilities, seasonal events like Rain Dance, and scenic location near the Athirappilly waterfalls. Additional amenities include restaurants, lockers, and play areas, making it ideal for all age groups..
Economically better choice. Also if it is for kids, this is more than enough. There is enough rides for even adults to have a nice life experience. Most of them but are outdated and need upgrade. Especially the 3D theater.
This water park was little smaller than Silver storm which is situated 10 km from here The approach of staff in here is pathetic . They don’t care much about you and sometimes not available Rides are okay not excellent Snow world in here is worst, they don’t provide you with enough supplements like jacket, gloves, etc. they only provide you with boots and you can only sustain 5 mins in there, which is very bad compared to silver storm where you can spend an hour with proper materials provided. Some water rides are very poorly managed by staffs Overall service is very bad, moderate enjoyable water rides.
Good for a weekend for those who stay near chalakudi. Park could be painted and maintained better. Grass could be trimmed properly. The staff are nice. 1 day advance online booking gives 10% discount. You can get a discount if you call them and make a booking over phone even if it is the same day.
A small water theme park perfect for a family day out. Children will like it very much. The 3D theater will provide a good experience.
So satisfied on visiting there. Not too rush. So calm. Clean area The staffs were too good. Really supportive with all rides. We visit with an infant 1 yr old. Their staffs helped manged the kid while we were using the rides
One of the best water theame park in kerala especially for kids because of small rides. Also suitable for adults does not want more advencharous rides. Friendly staff, clean water and environment .Got 15% discount on ticket due to advance booking. Can complete all rides within 4 hours. Some of them are starting only after 2.30pm.one thing i noticed that there is a lack of proper supervision in maintenance ( boomerang ride was not working, horror house having many items not in working condition). Anyway had a nice experience. Thank you team dream world...
Nice place to visit and enjoy with your family or friends rides were very lesser than other water theme parks ticket charge is good for the rides every rides is set up there is for children so family can enjoy there
