Visited Palakkad Fort on a holiday and it was almost empty except for a few workers. The calm and peaceful atmosphere made it a relaxing stop. Don’t expect an overwhelming or grand experience, but it’s definitely worth visiting for its historical significance. A quiet place to walk around and soak in a bit of heritage.

Palakkad Fort, also known as Tipu’s Fort, is one of the most iconic landmarks in Palakkad, Kerala. Built in the 18th century by Hyder Ali and later strengthened by Tipu Sultan, this fort still stands as a well-preserved piece of history in the heart of the city. Surrounded by a wide moat and lush greenery, the fort offers a calm and peaceful atmosphere despite being located in a bustling town. The thick laterite stone walls and traditional Kerala-style architecture make it visually impressive and historically significant.

A well known historical structure. Please read about prior visiting here. Then only we will get an idea about the place. Pros 1. Very nice and beautiful structure. 2. Entry fee is minimal. 3. Many photospots inside so take a good camera. Cons 1. Better go early morning or evening. Noon time is very hot. 2. Bathroom are limited and not hygienic. 3. No inside eateries. So take your refreshment items while entering.

Palakkad Fort (also known as Tipu’s Fort) is one of the most well-preserved historical forts in Kerala, India. 🏰 Overview Location: Palakkad town, Kerala Built by: Hyder Ali, ruler of Mysore Year: Around 1766 CE Main Purpose: To strengthen military defence between Kerala and Tamil Nadu and to control the Palakkad Gap (a key mountain pass through the Western Ghats). 📜 History The fort was originally built by Hyder Ali of Mysore. Later, it was captured by the British East India Company in 1768, briefly retaken by Tipu Sultan, and then permanently taken over by the British in the late 18th century. During British rule, it served as a military base and later as a administrative center. 🧱 Architecture Constructed mainly using laterite stones, a common building material in Kerala. The fort has thick walls, wide bastions, and a moat surrounding it. Inside, you can find: Hanuman (Anjaneya) Temple Sub-jail (used during British period) Children’s park Museum (run by the Archaeological Survey of India)
Midhun B — Google review
The place has a big parking area and no waiting time. Tickets can be booked online to save money, and children below 15 years get free entry. Overall, it’s a good experience for families. However, one concern is that some couples behave inappropriately in public areas, which can make visitors uncomfortable. It would be great if the management ensured better monitoring to maintain a family-friendly environment.
PRAVEENKUMAR V — Google review
The fort is small but beautiful and beautifully maintained by ASI, there is nothing to see much but it's a quiet place in the middle of the city. Ample car and two wheeler parking is available in the fort premises. Fort is surrendered by water.
Makarand S — Google review
Palakkad Fort – A Perfect Blend of History and Serenity Nestled in the heart of Palakkad town, Palakkad Fort, also known as Tipu’s Fort, is a magnificent structure that beautifully preserves the essence of Kerala’s history. Built in 1766 by Hyder Ali, the father of Tipu Sultan, this fort has witnessed several chapters of South Indian history, including the British occupation. Today, it stands as a testament to strong military architecture and cultural heritage. First Impressions: The moment you step inside the fort premises, you’re greeted by a vast expanse of lush green lawns and a large moat encircling the fort walls. The fort’s massive laterite walls, still strong after centuries, offer a sense of awe and admiration. The atmosphere is calm and serene, making it an ideal escape from the city’s hustle. What to See Inside: Hanuman Temple: A small yet beautiful temple located inside the fort grounds. Prison Cells & Barracks: Explore remnants of old structures that once served as military quarters. Why Visit? If you’re a history buff, architecture lover, or someone seeking a peaceful spot, Palakkad Fort is a must-visit. It’s also a great place for photography – the fort walls, open gardens, and reflections in the moat create beautiful frames. Best Time to Visit: Visit in the early morning or late afternoon to avoid harsh sunlight and enjoy pleasant weather. Sunsets here are particularly beautiful! Additional Info: Entry Fee: Minimal, very affordable. Parking: Available near the fort. Duration: 1-2 hours is enough for a complete visit. Spanning 17 acres against the stunning backdrop of the Western Ghats, this park features over 35 exhilarating rides, including both dry attractions and water-based fun. Visitors can enjoy popular rides like Super Splash and Dragon Coaster while also indulging in delicious treats at the food court.
If you’re in or around Palakkad and looking for a fun day out with your squad or fam, Fantasy Park is where the vibe is at. This place blends amusement rides and water world fun all in one spot. The water slides are the real deal especially in the summer heat and the wave pool totally hits different. There are rides for all ages from kiddie zones to a few thrill rides that get your heart racing. 🤹🏻‍♂️ The park is clean and well maintained and the staff is super helpful. The entry fees are reasonable and they’ve got lockers and dress changing areas that make things smooth. Food court options are average but do the job when hunger strikes. Best part is the scenic backdrop of Malampuzha Dam and hills which gives the whole place a chill vacation mood. 🧗🏻‍♂️ If you’re in Palakkad and want a break from the usual this place is totally worth it. Just get there early if you want to beat the crowd especially on weekends. 🤽🏻‍♂️🏄🏻‍♂️

Had an amazing experience at the fantasy theme park which just located near Malampuzha dam, 5mins drive from malampuzha dam. The dry games were super fun, the Sky drop Tower was the highlight, giving a real adrenaline rush as it shot up and dropped us down in seconds! The water games were just exciting. There’s this one capsule ride where you stand inside and suddenly the floor drops- it’s wild and thrilling! It’s a perfect fun with family, friends and relatives with laughter and adventure.
Nevin J — Google review
I recently visited this amusement park with my kids and had a great time! The water rides were a hit with the whole family, and the best part was they were suitable for kids. The park maintained good safety standards, and we appreciated the relaxed dress code. While the dry rides were average, they were still enjoyable. What really stood out was that my two kids got in free that day! Overall, a fun day out for families.
Ratheesh K — Google review
We had a terrific time. Decent games. Wonderful green environment. The rides were well maintained. Only complaint was the very limited number of floats in water games. Also people the water game infrastructure does not support people beyond 80 kgs. This should be informed in advance. Because of this, children who were supposed to ride the wave with parents , some of them had to go alone . So the experience was limited to that effect . Some water slides were steep and we felt the protection/ sides could be slightly higher to avoid slipping or falling. Nothing of that sort happened..but the fear was there . Rest all were wonderful. For those who fear heights in water games ..there were other water game options, a thoroughly enjoyable factor. Freefall ride was amazing . Gyroscope was adventurous yet nice. Senior citizens do have price concessions. The place is worth visiting

Fantasy park is an affordable locale for school excursions and all. Even though, we went to Fantasy Park on a weekend, the crowd was minimal and therefore we didn't have to wait in long queues. Water rides and other amenities felt really entertaning, for the price. Food served was delicious for the price. And as students you could get discounts. Enquire in the office regarding the same.
Nikhil B — Google review
For Rs.750 per head, it's definitely worth it, rather having few rides to explore you really can have lots of fun. Worth it! Recommended if you're planning to spend a one day out. Definitely worth the try.
Immanuel A — Google review
I recently visited Fantasy Park in Coimbatore, and it was such an enjoyable experience! The park is well-maintained, clean, and surrounded by beautiful greenery near the Western Ghats, which gives it a refreshing atmosphere. The water rides are the main highlight — perfect for both kids and adults. The wave pool, lazy river, and spiral slides are super fun! The dry rides and 3D theatre add extra excitement, especially for families and friends. Staff members were polite and helpful, and the safety measures were properly followed. The food court inside offers decent options at reasonable prices, and there are shaded rest areas to relax between rides. Overall, it’s a great place to spend a full day with family or friends. Affordable entry, clean environment, and lots of fun activities make it one of the best amusement parks around Coimbatore. ⭐ Rating: 4.5/5 🎢 Best for: Family trips, college outings, and weekend getaways.

Fantasy Park, Malampuzha – One of Kerala’s First Water Theme Parks Fantasy Park, located near Malampuzha Dam in Palakkad, is one of the first and most well-known water theme parks in Kerala. While the park has been serving visitors for decades, it still manages to offer a decent family experience with a mix of water rides and dry attractions. The water quality is well-maintained, and safety measures are reasonably implemented. However, most of the rides are older, with only two newer additions spotted during our recent visit. To remain competitive, the park would benefit from periodic upgrades and innovations, especially considering the entry fee structure which is similar to that of larger parks. Weekends, vacations, and holidays tend to get overcrowded, so plan your visit on weekdays if you prefer a calmer experience. A major positive aspect of our visit was the excellent service provided by the restaurant staff—friendly, attentive, and efficient. Overall, Fantasy Park offers a nostalgic and enjoyable outing, especially for families and children, though it would greatly benefit from infrastructure upgrades and new attractions.

Nestled in the picturesque Palakkad district of Kerala, Malampuzha Dam stands as a remarkable engineering feat completed in 1955. This impressive structure creates Kerala's largest reservoir, holding an astounding capacity of 226 million cubic meters. The dam is not just about its functionality; it’s surrounded by breathtaking landscapes that include lush green lawns and vibrant flower beds swaying gently in the breeze, all set against the majestic backdrop of the Western Ghats.
Malampuzha Dam is a perfect spot for a peaceful and refreshing one-day trip! I visited recently and was truly impressed by how well-maintained and scenic the entire area is. The atmosphere is calm and serene, making it a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. The walk up to the dam can be a little tiring, especially on a sunny day, but it's completely worth it. As you walk along, you'll find several beautiful photo points, ideal for both nature lovers and casual photographers. The surrounding greenery and water views are just stunning. There are plenty of snack stalls and small eateries near the entrance and around the park area, so you won't have to worry about food. Families with kids will love the children’s park, which is clean and equipped with fun rides and open spaces for kids to enjoy. One of the best parts of the visit was the ropeway ride – it's just ₹70 per person and offers a breathtaking aerial view of the dam, gardens, and the surrounding hills. We took a quick auto ride from the dam to the ropeway station, which was convenient and saved time. The ride itself was smooth, safe, and offered some truly Instagram-worthy views! If you're in or around Palakkad, Malampuzha Dam is definitely worth visiting for a relaxed one-day outing with family or friends. It’s got the right mix of nature, fun, and local charm. Would love to go back again!

Scenic beauty, especially during sunset: The dam offers beautiful views, particularly at sunset, with the surrounding greenery and reservoir expanding across a large area. Heavy rainfall makes the dam fuller and enhances the visual experience,

Not well maintained at all. The ropeway was ok. If you want to go on the dam, tickets are available at park gate which no one told us so we walked all the way and then had to leave since we didn't have tickets. Park is very badly maintained with most of the attractions in a very bad state. Overall, an average visit.

Malampuzha Dam is truly a gem in Kerala, and my recent visit left me amazed at how much beauty and variety this place offers. Nestled at the foothills of the Western Ghats, the dam is surrounded by lush greenery and serene hills, making it a perfect spot for nature lovers, families, and anyone looking to relax. The dam itself is an impressive structure, and the view from the top is breathtaking—especially during sunset when the golden light reflects off the vast reservoir. The surrounding gardens are very well maintained, colorful, and perfect for a peaceful stroll or family picnic. The famous Yakshi sculpture adds a unique cultural touch and is a must-see landmark inside the garden. For those who enjoy adventure, the ropeway ride over the gardens and water is a thrilling experience that gives you a bird’s-eye view of the entire dam and the scenic backdrop of the mountains. There are also boating options available, which make the visit even more memorable. What stood out to me most was how the place blends natural beauty with well-planned attractions. There’s something here for everyone—whether it’s photography enthusiasts, families with kids, or couples looking for a quiet, romantic escape. Overall, Malampuzha Dam is more than just a dam—it’s a complete experience of nature, culture, and fun. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Palakkad or nearby areas. Make sure to keep at least half a day to fully enjoy everything this wonderful spot has to offer.

The place is marvellous and the arts are really impressive, visited during Christmas holidays and the place was dreadful, it’s not maintained at all, mostly abandoned places where young couples were romantically involved. Can’t take children here, adults have nothing to enjoy. Definitely not worth the 25rs.

♿❌ , 🚗🏍️✔️, 🚮✔️, 🚰❌ Rock Garden at Malampuzha is a unique attraction, filled with beautifully crafted rock sculptures that showcase creativity and artistry. Walking through the garden is a delightful experience, with each corner offering something interesting and picturesque. It’s a place that blends art with nature, making it a memorable visit. However, the main drawback is the maintenance. With better upkeep, the Rock Garden could truly shine as a world-class attraction. Despite this, the overall experience is very good, and it’s definitely worth visiting for its artistic charm and cultural value.
Roopesh K — Google review
Very beautiful place. All the rock sculpture are well planned and crafted. also some are made with damaged fuses, elcb, switches, pin insulators. It's a must visit place. But not well maintained.

Actually, it's a couple's spot! Recently, I visited this place while I was in Malampuzha. Unfortunately, the Malampuzha Garden was closed for renovations, so my colleagues and I decided to find an alternative. We discovered this place on Google and decided to check it out. When we arrived, the exterior looked small and cramped. However, once we entered, we found it to be surprisingly spacious and pleasant for walking around. The only issue was that there were couples in nearly every corner, which made me feel like I was intruding on their time together! If you're planning to visit this place with family, I suggest reconsidering. There isn't much to see here; it's mainly filled with broken stones and fragments, which have been used to create sculptures, designs, and walls. That's about it. Best wishes to all the couples who visit!

Worst maintenance. They could enhance the place’s beauty, especially since they’re charging ₹50 as an entry fee. But inside, there’s nothing impressive because of poor upkeep.

I think it's a spot hidden not yet noticed place near malampuzha palakkad. Really loved the place - perfect for couples. The place is soo calm with all the sculptures made of rocks and tiles and a perfect place to have a break and rest and feel the place and environment. Lots and lots of concept scuplture and statues are there

I like very much, This idea is very very good. And I have share some suggestions, some area not maintaining properly, that's is a negative, otherwise everything ok.

Hasi’s Kitchen is a laid-back eatery with a modern atmosphere and a menu featuring local specialties. Conveniently located near Palakkad town railway station, it's a go-to spot for fans of Keralan non-vegetarian fare. The restaurant offers an inviting ambiance and reasonable prices, making it perfect for those in search of a satisfying meal without breaking the bank.
Food was amazing! One of the best places in Palakkad for Malabar biriyani. Tried the prawns fry too tasty. What really made the experience even better was the service. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive, always serving with a pleasant smile. Highly recommend this place, and I’ll definitely be revisiting soon!

The mutton biryani is very tasty. The elaneer pudding is also a very good dessert. Very soft and smooth. The service was very good. Ms. Anitha took my service. She was very helpful in picking up dishes and explaining about the food.

We came from Coimbatore only to have dinner over here. We tried paal kappa and a few chicken dishes. Parotta is crispy good. Next time I will try other dishes.

Tried beef briyani.. Nothing special Just ghee rice with some beef.. Can't call it as briyani. Doesn't meet up to expectation @ ₹200/- Service ,staffs and hygiene are good.
SUDEV M — Google review
We had one kadala curry and one vegetable stew from Hasi's Kitchen today. The quantity was extremely low and it cost 100 rupees for each. The food seemed to be extensively expensive. The service quality was very poor. We wanted to order lemon tea. But, the lady at the counter seemed really uninterested. When a service boy was called to order, he too was least bothered about it.

Can be hugely crowded at times. Food is nice, even though on the slightly pricier side

Biryani restaurant
N M R'S UPTOWN is a popular restaurant located near Coimbatore road, BharathMatha HSS, Sahyadri Colony, Chandranagar Colony, and Palakkad. It offers a remarkable dining experience with exquisite dishes and an impressive ambience. The biriyani is highly recommended for its generous portions of chicken and flavorful taste. Additionally, the restaurant provides ample parking space for customers.
We recently dined at nmr, and the experience was exceptional! The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the service was attentive without being overbearing. We started with the Porotta Beef Roast and Chilly Chicken as starters, and they were absolutely fantastic. The beef roast was tender and flavorful. The porotta was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, The Chilly Chicken was spicy and tangy, with a great balance of flavors. The chicken was cooked to perfection, Both dishes were incredibly delicious and the mini falooda was too refreshing ….it was great way to end our dinner……Highly recommend this place❤️❤️

Visited NMR's Uptown during lunchtime, and as expected, it was very crowded. However, the waiting area had proper seating arrangements, which made the wait manageable. The restaurant itself is quite spacious, with a good number of dining seats and a comfortable ambience. Food Experience: Chicken Cream Soup: Just average — nothing memorable. Hot and Sour Soup: A major disappointment — it had only a strong sauce-like taste with no real depth or balance of flavors. Blue Lagoon Mojito: Another letdown. The taste was off — we managed to drink it, but it wasn’t enjoyable. Mutton Biriyani: Highly overhyped. It was slightly salty and underwhelming overall — not something a true foodie would order again. The accompaniment served with it seemed like a failed attempt at biriyani dalcha but ended up tasting more like sambar, and not in a good way. Beef Fajita: This was the standout dish — flavorful, well-cooked, and worth trying. Pricing & Service: Most items felt overpriced for the taste offered. On the bright side, the service was excellent, and the ambience was pleasant and roomy. Overall Verdict: If you're visiting, it might be better to explore items other than biriyani. While the setting and service are commendable, the food does not always justify the price — except for a few hits like the beef fajita.

If you’re in Palakkad and on the hunt for some mouthwatering biryani, look no further than N M R'S UPTOWN! This delightful biryani restaurant offers a fantastic selection of dishes, including succulent tandoori and a diverse range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Highlights from their menu include the exquisite appam, flavorful stew, and the refreshing falooda. During my visit, Nandha Kumar provided us with excellent recommendations, and I must say, the prawns Manoj curry was nothing short of spectacular when paired with rice and naan. The restaurant itself is clean and spacious, accommodating large groups comfortably, and there is ample parking available, making it easy for visitors to drop by. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between luxury and coziness, creating an inviting space for dining with family or friends. What stood out to me was the friendly staff and the excellent service, which truly enhanced our experience. I had a wonderful dining experience with my family, and I'm pleased to mention that the prices are quite affordable considering the quality of food and service. I can't wait to return for more delightful meals in the future. For anyone visiting Palakkad, don’t miss out on the opportunity to indulge in a meal at N M R'S UPTOWN—you won’t regret it!

One of the best restaurant in Palakkad, the quantity, quality and the taste of the food was awesome. I were visited this place 3 times 1st with family and it was a wonderful time and other two times with my friends (I have recommended this place to them by my previous experience from here) we're tasted NMR chicken biriyani, Mexican alpham, various types of Nans, porotta etc. and all are best in class quality. But during the last visit we got a uncleaned and un washed tumbler for serving drinking water, this will be somewhat disappointing, please be some more concious about the cleanliness of the cutlery. Otherwise everything was fine,

An Absolute Culinary Gem in Palakkad! A Must-Visit! If you're looking for an authentic and incredible South Indian dining experience in Palakkad, look no further than N M R'S UPTOWN. This place isn't just a restaurant; it's an institution, and the crowd waiting outside is the first clue to the magic that happens inside! Yes, we had to wait about 15 minutes for a table, but let me tell you, it was worth every second. The buzz of a full restaurant is always a good sign, and it built up our anticipation perfectly. We started our feast with a soup. It was good, a warm and comforting beginning, but it was merely the opening act for the symphony of flavors that was to follow. Then came the Fish & Chips. Oh my goodness! I have to call it out specifically because it was, without a doubt, one of the best versions I have ever had. Perfectly crispy, flaky fish on the inside – absolutely amazing! But the true stars of the show were the main courses. We ordered the legendary Rawuthar Biriyani, the Calicut Biriyani, and the Murg Lababdar. Words almost fail me. Each dish was a masterpiece. The biriyanis were aromatic, with perfectly cooked, flavorful rice and tender meat that just fell off the bone. The Murg Lababdar was rich, creamy, and packed with spice. It was all absolutely finger-licking good! There is no other way to describe it. We cleaned our plates completely, savoring every last grain of rice. The crew deserves a special shoutout. Despite being incredibly busy, they were pleasant, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Is it a bit more expensive than some other places? Perhaps. But is it worth every single rupee? ABSOLUTELY. The quality of the food, the portion sizes, and the overall experience justify the price completely. N M R'S UPTOWN has a loyal customer for life. My next trip to Palakkad is already planned around my next meal here. Do not miss this place!

Easily the best biriyanis I have had in a long time. Both the NMR Chicken Biriyani and the Kozhikkoden Mutton Biriyani were absolutely lip smacking. The flavours were spot on and the Chicken and the Mutton were cooked to perfection. We also a serving of Ghee Rice and the Travancore Chicken Fry. Both were awesome but the Travancore Chicken Fry blew our minds. The service was great. The owner of the restaurant kept checking with his customers including us on how the food and the service were, which is top class service. The ambience is great, quite spacious. There is about a 30 min+ wait time, but enough space in the waiting area for a ton of people. Plenty of parking too in their parking lot near the restaurant. Overall, an excellent restaurant. Highly recommended for visitors and residents of Palakkad!

We ordered the NMRS mutton biryani, and it was absolutely delicious! The mutton soup, however, stole the show – it was the highlight of our day. To top it off, we treated ourselves to falooda and refreshing mint tea. The overall experience was phenomenal, and we had an amazing time. Can't wait to come back.

Vox Sky Lounge & Fine Dine, situated near Vox Junction on Calicut Bypass Road, offers delightful cuisine and excellent customer service. The restaurant has a pleasing atmosphere and is rated 4.3. The ambiance is satisfying, with elegant decor resembling a wedding celebration. The staff are extremely friendly and the service is prompt, with ample parking space available both for the restaurant and its patrons. However, during peak hours on weekends, there might be some waiting time for a table.
"Wow, what a delightful dining experience! The food was absolutely delicious, with each dish bursting with flavor. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, perfect for a night out with friends. Highly recommend".

Vox Sky Lounge & Fine Dine, offers a dining experience centered around fusion foods, which adds a creative twist to their menu. While the concept is interesting, the execution leaves room for improvement. The quality of the food is generally okay, but there is a noticeable lack of freshness in their non-vegetarian items, which detracts from the overall experience. Service is another area that requires significant attention. The staff appears to struggle with managing crowds during busy hours, leading to delays and a sense of disorganization. Better crowd management and enhanced customer focus would greatly improve the ambiance and dining experience

⭐ 4.5/5 I recently had lunch at Vox Kitchen, Palakkad, and enjoyed their Chicken Biryani — it was absolutely wonderful in both quality and quantity. The flavors were rich and perfectly balanced, and their special sides, especially the coconut chamanthi and dates pickle, added an amazing traditional touch to the meal. The restaurant has a pleasant ambience and is a good place for dining with friends or family. However, during my visit, the air conditioning wasn’t working properly, which made the experience slightly uncomfortable. Overall, it’s a great spot for tasty and satisfying meals in Palakkad. I’d definitely recommend trying their Chicken Biryani and signature side dishes!
MANOJ M — Google review
Tried kerala parota with nadan beef, beef biryani, chicken biryani and fish fry. Everything was delicious and cooked very well, haven’t really tasted beef anywhere else that is this soft and tasty. Only minor annoyance is waiting for too long even when the restaurant was practically empty but the quality of the dishes made up for it.
Sala — Google review
I recently visited your restaurant and asked the staff for a recommendation for the best fish item on the menu. They suggested the Aiykora fish Pollichathu. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with the dish. The flavor was very bland and not even average. Additionally, the staff seemed unsure about the price of the fish — they were discussing it among themselves before billing. Finally, I was charged ₹357 for the dish, which did not feel worth the price considering the taste and overall experience. I hope the management can take this feedback positively and work on improving both the food quality and staff training. With some attention to these details, the restaurant can definitely provide a much better food experience for customers.
MAHESH M — Google review
I recently dined here where I ordered the Veg Tiranga, which features three curries: kaju masala, paneer, and mushroom. Each dish was rich in flavor and well-prepared, making for a satisfying meal. However, while the name "Tiranga" suggests a tri-color presentation, the dish didn't quite embody that. A touch of green from cooking the mushrooms with green chili would have added a tri-color visual appeal. I also tried the puttu, which was delightful, especially with the bonus of two papadams on the side. Overall, I enjoyed the food and appreciated the rich flavors.

Pepper Al Faham is really awesome. We also got an offer for unlimited food from anything on the menu for a cost of 500. Ambience was awesome for a group of 13. We enjoyed the food. But the waiter was not behaving properly, that had caused some trouble for us. Otherwise parking facility is also available on the roadside.

Had Tandoori Chicken, 2 porotta. Tried chicken as suggestion from reviews, was good enough, size of piece was small, well cooked, the masala was bit sour but seems like perfect for me, nice for the price Range. Kuboos with the chicken was way long pathetic, squeezed like chappathi, hard and cold, zero rating for kuboos, would have been a worst experience if i hadn't ordered porotta. This small kuboos can make the tandoori experience from great to fair, even fair to bad. Mayonnaise was thick and perfect but it was less salty, cannot eat kuboos or chicken after dipping full mindedly. Porotta was hot, thick, big enough, it was also less salty made it difficult for me to eat (with less salty mayonnaise🥲).Perfect if properly salted. The waiting time for food is bit longer but it's an okay okay factor, considering big busy hotels like this. The thing irritate customers is there are more waiters or serving persons than cook, it takes time to cook food, and this entire time the waiters spent time talking to themselves without considering customers. We accept the factor u have small kitchen and u tries to provide maximum customer comfort, but the waiters are not even providing glass for drinking water (we may have reached there exhausted, you should take that into consideration), i was there for 10 minutes and i had to ask waiter for glass😑. And the billing section is not even aware of these behaviour too, seeing all this give bad impression to us customers. Overall food was fine, more than fine. Experience was bit less comfort not due to ambience or waiting but due to waiters behavior and the response of owners to it.

One of the best restaurants in Palakkad. I recently visited Noorjehan Open Grill Restaurant in between my Coimbatore journey. I really loved the place. Mainly the food and service they’ve provided is amazing. The hot and sour chicken soup was very nice. Also we had chicken chilly, Chicken Biriyani and fried rice. Every food they served is really tasty and delicious. I loved the service of their captain, one of the senior captain took order from us and he treated us very nicely. When it comes to ambiance, it’s really good. And also you will get a good parking space.

Disappointing experience!!! We ordered a Lime juice while having lunch, they served the same after we waiting for 10-15 minutes post lunch. So we asked them to pack the lime juice, they packed the lime juice in a curry container with a straw, 'cleverly' packed as a parcel. When asked, they said they don't have a juice container. Also they don't even have tissues in handwash area, when asked they gave the tissues served in dining space. Please maintain basic amenities.

I recently visited Noorjehan Open Grill in Palakkad and had a good experience! The non-veg food is good. Ambiance is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed dinner. However, the quality and taste of the food is a choice for special occasions or a treat.

Avoid This Restaurant for Family Dining. Extremely Disappointing Experience If you're planning a family outing, do not consider this restaurant. You’ll likely not receive what you actually ordered, instead, they serve alternative items of their own choosing, without informing you. The butter chicken lacked any resemblance to the traditional taste. When we questioned it, we were casually told, "That's how we prepare it." Their idea of pepper chicken, the serving guy explain that it is a semi gravy curry. What you will get is just some chicken pieces in soup with an overload of black pepper and a watery curry. Ordered egg roast, and it came loaded with green peas, something never mentioned in the menu. And don’t bother asking for a manager. They’ll point to several different people, none of whom are willing to listen or take responsibility. Overall, a pathetic experience. Poor service, misleading menu, and absolutely no customer care. Definitely not worth your time or money

Noorjahan Pride is Over. Had very bad experience during yesterday dinner with my family. We ordered one of their signature dish, Pineapple 🍍 fried rice suggested my fellow foodie friend. I have seen the photo of the dish presentation. But they served in normal bowl. When I asked why ? They said no there is no availability of pineapple. If pineapple is not available and why they accepted my order and it was not informed before processing prder.Top of that it is charging 260 bucks for normal chicken fried rice. Leave about pricing and worst part is that we saw one big hair on the dish as topping. They didn’t mind when I said this. They are least bothered about customer service. We tried broasted chicken. It was okeyish only But they are claiming best broasted in the town. Being palakkadan and travel foodie I have tried better broasted from palakkad itself. Peri Peri chicken also too spicy and not cooked properly. What is this ? We are paying for food Give some justice to our money. We had similar bad experience with their stadium open grill. Unfortunately it is closed Advice to management - Need improvement in your customer service and food quality

Good food, and they are providing door delivery also to nearby places. The price is comparatively less. Dining area is little congestion. Only 10-12 people can sit at a time.. Otherwise all is good.

The mini tiffin combo breakfast is particularly popular among patrons looking for a hearty meal.
One of the best vegitarian restaurant near KSRTC busstand Palakkad.took medu vada (rs22),Rava Dosa (73) & filter coffee all were tasty. Quality and quantity good. Wash room available.

I went to the AC restaurant at the top and ordered ice cream fruit salad and falooda. The ice cream salad was very good. The falooda could be made better with more ingredients. It seemed to have certain tastes dominated. The vanilla ice-cream was of good quality. The service was very good.
Neeraj C — Google review
I recently visited this Restaurant and had a mixed experience. The ₹52 plain roti felt overpriced, leading me to try other items on the menu. Unfortunately, the mushroom soup was bland, and the iddiyapam with veg kurma was below average. The chilly idli and the ghee rava roast were okay, but nothing special. The mushroom roast was also just decent. Additionally, I've had better filter coffee at many other places. Overall, with such high prices, I expected better quality food, and most dishes did not meet my expectations.

🌱 Kapilavasthu Restaurant – Honest Review (Near KSRTC Stand, Palakkad) Visited Kapilavasthu, a pure vegetarian restaurant near the KSRTC bus stand. First impressions? The hotel was clean, well-maintained, and staff were courteous. The ambiance was pleasant for a quick veg meal or tea break. ✅ Positives: Clean and hygienic environment Tasty and fresh vegetarian food Good seating space and decent service ❌ But here’s the real issue – the prices! A single tea costs ₹21 (excluding GST) Veg noodles: ₹176 1 porotta + kurma: ₹38 Honestly, the quality and quantity don’t justify the pricing. For a middle-class customer, it feels like an utterly overpriced experience. You walk in expecting a decent meal and walk out wondering if the pricing had gold flakes hidden in the food. 💡 Tip: Always ask for prices before you order. It can save you the shock at billing. 👉 Verdict: Not recommended for daily or budget eaters. Good food, yes—but not worth the cost.

Excellent food. Quick and commendable service so 5 on 5. Kapilavasthu Restaurant: we are recommending this Restaurant for good vegetarian food

Very poor service. Only one old guy was attending us who was very kind. Rest of the service guys was just standing their even though they are more active and even after asking for water or anything else they were totally Un attentive. The person who took order was totally unavailable for most time. Even asking for and bringing one chutney took approx 1 hour. We had to cancel few orders coz it took so much time to get few orders.

Cochin International Airport, located in Kochi, serves both domestic and international flights and offers bus links for transportation. The airport is the nearest one to Munnar, with various transportation options available such as buses, taxis, and rented vehicles. Notably, the airport operates fully on solar power. Visitors have praised its cleanliness and maintenance, as well as the comfortable lounge area offering delicious food.
Cochin International Airport is one of the best airports in India — clean, spacious, and very well maintained. The architecture inspired by traditional Kerala design makes it unique and welcoming. It’s also the world’s first fully solar-powered airport, which is impressive. Check-in, security, and immigration are usually smooth and well-organized. There are good seating arrangements, lounges, and enough food & shopping options to make the wait comfortable. A perfect balance of modern facilities and local cultural touch.

Cochin International Airport is a modern & well maintained airport. The airport looked well managed, clean & hygeinic. They have blended local cultural element with modern infrastructure in its designing. The wooden work gives a very elegant yet rustic charm to its design. They have provided a very sufficient parking area for their travellers & families. One more astonishing fact, about this Airport is, It is world's first fully solar-powered airport. It is also considered as one of the best airports in Kerela and South India.
Vaibhav J — Google review
Cochin International Airport (CIAL) is one of the better airports in India — clean, eco-friendly, and efficient. The solar power infrastructure is impressive and gives a positive feel. Terminals are spacious and well designed, with good amenities (lounges, shops, food). Security, immigration and baggage generally are handled well. Downsides: during peak hours, expect longer queues; food & services tend to be somewhat expensive; signage & transport info could be clearer. Overall: ★★★★☆ (4/5) — highly recommended.
Anandhu R — Google review
Kochi Airport is truly one of the best airports in India. The cleanliness, ambience, and overall management are top-notch. What really stands out is the seating arrangement for passengers — it’s exceptionally comfortable and thoughtfully designed. There are plenty of seats available, and the waiting areas are spacious, relaxing, and well-maintained. The calm atmosphere makes the travel experience so much better. A perfect example of how passenger comfort should be prioritized at airports.
Anish P — Google review
No fancy, no elaborate structure yet decent and very well maintained airport. My first visiting to this airport and I was very happy with entire experience. It's spacious, it's easy to navigate and there is no hassle of any kinds. The layout is well planned. Lots of shops to pic up artifacts, sweets, souvenirs and food of course. There are prayer rooms made (ladies and gents separate) the are VIP rooms and otherwise a very comfortable seating arrangementa for passengers to rest. You step out of the airport and swiftly book your cab for the journey ahead. There is private taxis, prepaid taxis, ola, uber. Withing seconds your cab will be there to fetch you the best experience compared to other airports and drama by the cab drivers

Cochin International Airport (COK), also known as Kochi International Airport, is the busiest airport in the Indian state of Kerala. Located in Nedumbassery, about 25–28 km northeast of downtown Kochi, it was the first airport in India built under a public-private partnership (PPP) model. The airport is notable for being the world's first to be fully solar-powered. Key facts about the airport: Ownership and management: It is owned and operated by Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL). Terminals: The airport features three passenger terminals: one for international flights, one for domestic travel, and an exclusive business jet terminal. There is also a dedicated cargo terminal. Infrastructure: It has a single runway and is equipped with advanced technology for air traffic services, including radar systems and an instrument landing system. Solar power: The airport achieved full solar-powered status in 2015 and has since expanded its solar capacity, making it a power-positive airport that generates more electricity than it consumes. This green initiative earned it the United Nations' "Champion of the Earth" award in 2018. Terminals Terminal 1 (Domestic): Features traditional Kerala-style architecture and has a capacity to handle 4,000 passengers per hour. It has 56 check-in counters and 7 aerobridges. Terminal 2 (Business Jet): India's first charter gateway terminal, it caters to business jet and high-net-worth individuals, integrating facilities for tourism and conferences. It includes exclusive private parking and opulent lounges. Terminal 3 (International): Inspired by traditional Kerala temple architecture, this terminal was opened in 2017. It has 84 check-in counters, 80 immigration counters, and extensive duty-free shopping areas.

Cochin International Airport is India’s first fully solar-powered airport, a global benchmark in sustainability. The architecture blends modern infrastructure with Kerala’s traditional design aesthetics, giving travelers both comfort and a touch of local culture.
Sunita Y — Google review
One of the best airports visited by me which won the international award in 2018 for the most eco-friendly airport. This is the first airport I'm the world that runs purely on solar energy. The cleanliness around was just remarkable! The drinking water fountains all had paper cup supplies. And I have not seen such comfy chairs in any airport. Makes you feel like you are in someone's living room. Kudos to the people as well, for respecting the space and helping to keep it so clean. Excellent shops around to grab stuff on way home and also great cafes for food. Highly recommend.

Calicut International Airport

International airport
Airport
Calicut International Airport, commonly called Karipur Airport, serves the Malabar region of Kerala, mainly Kozhikode, Malappuram, and Palakkad districts. It is situated about 28 km from Kozhikode city. The airport handles both domestic and international flights, with major routes to the Middle East (Dubai, Doha, Muscat, Abu Dhabi) and Indian metros like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Chennai. Table-top runway — flights may get delayed during heavy rain due to safety protocols.
Deepak — Google review
One of the Table Top Runway Airports maintained and owned by Airport Authority of India. Not so big Airport with only two terminals one for domestic and other for international . The domestic terminal does not have any lounge. The main international route from Kozhikode is the gulf countries . Not many shops here. Airport is clean. Staffs are good.
Samir S — Google review
Calicut International Airport, despite the “international” tag, is honestly quite underwhelming. First off, it’s worth noting that the airport is actually located in Malappuram district, not Kozhikode as the name suggests. That’s not a big issue, but it’s something many travelers might find a little confusing. As an airport that serves a huge number of passengers, especially NRIs flying in and out of the Gulf, you’d expect it to be on par with other international airports in India. Unfortunately, it falls short in almost every department. The facilities are quite outdated, and the whole place gives off a very bland and boring vibe. There’s very little effort put into aesthetics or creating a pleasant experience for travelers. If you’re looking for a vibrant or modern airport experience, this isn’t it. The basic things like waiting areas, restrooms, and food options could really use an upgrade. Nothing stands out, and everything feels just okay or below par. The airport badly needs renovation and modernization. Adding better infrastructure, smoother processes, and some thoughtful design could make a huge difference. Right now, though, it feels more like a dated domestic airport than a true international one. Overall, I’d give it 2 out of 5 stars. It works if you just need to get from point A to point B, but don’t expect anything more than the bare minimum.
Saheer T — Google review
Compact and well-maintained airport ✈️. Facilities are improving, staff are helpful, and check-in is usually smooth. Can get a bit crowded during peak hours, but overall a convenient airport for both domestic and international travel. 🌍
Itsmehasan — Google review
Calicut International Airport, also known as Karipur Airport, is located in Malappuram district and is one of Kerala's major airports. Though it has a large parking area, the fees are high and the staff behavior is often rude. Calicut International Airport (CCJ), located 25 km from Kozhikode, serves both domestic and international flights, mainly to Gulf countries. It offers good facilities and connects North Kerala.
Jishnu S — Google review
Calicut International Airport, also known as Karipur Airport, is located in Malappuram, Kerala, and serves as a key hub for the Malabar region. It offers domestic and international flights to destinations like Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and major Indian cities. The airport features amenities like free Wi-Fi, duty-free shopping, and medical services, and is accessible by road and public transportation.
Sumit S — Google review
Calicut Airport is a convenient and well-maintained airport serving North Kerala. The terminals are clean and organized, with smooth check-in and security procedures. Staff are courteous, and there are basic facilities like cafes, waiting lounges, and parking. The airport handles both domestic and international flights efficiently, though it can get busy during peak hours. Transportation options like taxis and buses are easily available. Overall, it offers a comfortable and hassle-free travel experience for passengers visiting Malabar region. 🌴✨

Nice airport with good service, but most of the facilities feel outdated. A renovation or upgrade would really improve the overall experience.
