Amazing (hidden) gem close to Plzen. We passed by the road and saw loads of old planes, tanks and other war memorabilia displayed; we immediately turned around and bought tickets (200 pp). It is possible to enter a lot of the planes/tanks and see what they look like now and in some of them they have replicated it to its original state. It’s even possible to go in the commercial jet aircraft (although you have to pay an extra 100 pp which is totally worth it). The owner mentioned he could not speak English but he was super enthusiastic and was able to tell us a lot about the history of this commercial jet aircraft. Would definitely recommend if you’re nearby!
A privately run museum with a great selection of aircraft and some armoured vehicles. You can even get inside several of them, including a few tanks! Very pleasant family who are knowledgeable about the vehicles they have on display. Worth a visit 🙂
Great aviation museum, the entrance fee is pretty low, you can also visit the cabins of some aircraft if you wish and the museum manager will guide you about them (additional cost, but it worth it). I enjoyed my time in this museum.
We drove to Pilsen from Germany yesterday to visit the park and the owner is very happy to open up for us and let us walk around. My son, and avid student of history, loved every bit of it. Highly recommended visit in the warmer less rainy months.
I am not sure who complaints about 200Kc entrance - it is a fair price and when I was there back in 2018 or 19, there were like 3 other people. You can climb into the tanks, planes, helicopters… definitely worth it. The owner is a nice guy with a passion for this stuff
would highly recommend. something completely different and so interesting. we are English but the man who showed us round managed to translate well enough for us to understand. would definitely visit again. amazing place.
A very big selection of aircraft and tanks. 100 czk admission and you walk round on your own or 200 czk and he will walk round with you and explain what all the aircraft are
Absolutely one of my favorite museums I have ever been to. 200 czk entry fee is totally worth it, you get to go inside tanks and aircraft, handle equipment, and even operate some things still functioning (30mm gun emplacement, BRDM-2 turret, etc). Not busy at all and accessible to people of any language.
