Tamara & family were very kind & welcoming. Great tasting and authentic Georgian dinner and breakfast. Excellent wine, I usually prefer semi sweet but they only have dry wine which was actually delicious. With smooth tasting Chacha too. Unfortunately we booked late & the only room available was without AC so it was very hot, would have been great to have a fan available but apart from that it was an amazing stay. Highly recommend anyone in Georgia to visit.
What a wonderful place! Great wine, wonderful hospitality and some of the best food in Georgia! We just need to come back here!!! The rooms are big, nice and clean. It is wonderful to sit in the garden or in the shade next to the house or under the wine leaves behind the house. They speak English quite fluently and a bit of German as well. The chef cook knows her business exceptionally well. Wine tasting was a blast - taste, setting and matching wine and food. For the European tongue, this wine is also among the most approachable wines we had in Georgia.
A beautiful and authentic Georgian experience! Delicious traditional dishes, excellent local wines, and warm, welcoming people. The sparkling wine was a lovely surprise. This visit brought us closer to the real Georgia — full of taste, culture, and smiles!
Hands down favourite experience in Georgia! All the family were incredibly welcoming - we had the tour, tasting, dinner and stayed the night - after breakfast we even managed to try our hand at the harvest with local women from the village. The Pet Nat is a must and the food phenomenal. Couldn’t ask for any more in a winery experience. Certainly made us lifelong fans!
For everyone trying to explore Georgian wines: Baia’s Wine is a must visit. We did a wine tasting & tour and finished with amazing food. Best dinner we’ve had in Georgia. Afterwards we decided to stay in the guesthouse. The room was very comfortable, clean and spacious. Baia and her family are amazing and welcoming hosts, even during the busy pre-harvest preparation period!
Outstanding winery experience! The sister of Baia led our tour - she was super fun and let us know all about the winery and how they got from when they started to today. We really enjoyed learning about the winery, which also happened to have beautiful views of the countryside. The food was absolutely incredible! Best pkhali of the entire trip and we have had a LOT to compare it to 😊. The wine was outstanding as well and paired very nicely with the meal. Generous pours allowed us to really enjoy each one. The chacha aged in oak barrels was also very delicious.
We are two Canadian travellers who had a wonderful stay at Baia's Winery in September. We were welcomed by the family matriarch, Tamriko, who gave us a tour in excellent English, explaining traditional winemaking techniques used in Georgia as well as the family history developing their vineyard. We were offered several bottles of wine and cha cha to sample along with a large, delicious and varied meal. The room was clean and comfortable with a nice view over the vineyard. We booked direct and were able to travel there from Kutaisi by Bolt. Don't hesitate - this is the casual but hospitable winery experience you are looking for!
Our visit to Baias Wine Tour in Georgia was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted like family. The hospitality was warm. The tour itself was informative, giving us a deep dive into the local wine-making process and the rich history of Georgian wine culture. The snacks provided were perfect, with a great variety that left us feeling full and satisfied. From cheese and bread to local delicacies, each bite paired wonderfully with the wines. Speaking of wines, they were absolutely delicious! The selection was diverse, allowing us to taste a range of flavors that truly showcased the quality and uniqueness of Georgian wine. Overall, this was a perfect blend of tradition, delicious food, and incredible wine. If you're in Georgia, a visit to Baias Wine Tour is a must. We’ll definitely be coming back next time
