Very good quality olive oil. It is small a family business, and even though we just popped in unannounced, they let us try the oils for free and helped us choose some to take with us.
I lived in croatia for a year and a friend of mine recommended this place to me (where he sources his oil from). When I moved back to Chicago I couldnt find good quality oil even in higher end stores. I think a combination of age/counterfeit oils (especially a problem for italian ones). I now have the owner ship it to me when I visit Europe and then I check it in my luggage to bring home. Yes, its that good. Especially the more intense options. As you may know Istria is probably the most famous region for olive oil in the world (and has been since the roman times). Do yourself a favor and stop by if you are in the area or ship it to yourself. A standard box can fit 3 liters and is easy to pack in luggage. I think it’s about $150 to ship to the states. Might seem expensive but may be worth it given the quality. Highly recommend. My go to supplier.
Went there for an olive oil tasting. They sell very high quality for a good price. We bought different kind of olive oil and Medica, which is kind of a grappa with honey, but not strong. The owner is a lovely person and explained a lot.
What a mysterious place with an olive oil shop.
(Translated by Google) Even though it was a sudden visit, they kindly accepted me. The owner's brother, a man, spoke good English and his explanations about olive oil were perfect. I had the opportunity to do some oil tasting, and they were all delicious, so I bought all of them in white, blue, and black. The dog was taking a nap and it was a nice atmosphere.
(Translated by Google) Small shop far in the country. The oil that is sold is of high quality and certainly home-grown. The journey across the country was worth it. (Original) Kleiner Shop weit auf dem Land. Das Öl das verkauft wird, ist von hoher Qualität und bestimmt aus eigenem Anbau. Der Weg, quer übers Land hat sich gelohnt.
(Translated by Google) Lots of atmosphere and charm in this local olive shop far out in the countryside. Worth a visit. Thank you for a good tasting experience. (Original) Masser af atmosfære og charme i denne lokale oliven butik langt ude på landet. Et besøg værd. Tak for en god smagsoplevelse.
