Hidden gem of a place! Really easy to get from Vienna. The mine is well cared for. Our guide spoke English, was super entertaining and we learnt much about the world war 2 period. Don't miss out! Boat ride is cool!
Is it worth it? Yes in its way. If you’re looking for places to visit just out of curiosity or learn a thing or two, then go for it! You will also enjoy the ride until you reach the destination which is very beautiful! Enter the tunnel and start going back to time!! Enjoy and learn
Wow! This is so worth the visit! Very interesting and a true walk back into the WW2 era. It is cool (8degrees all year round) and some spots are slippery. It’s quite large and the guide was exceptional with knowledge and facts. Highly recommend tour if you are in the area!!! Very much enjoyed this one.
Very fun experience! We came in as a group of 20 students and had a very pleasant tourguide who joked around with us while talking about the scenery. The boat ride provided some pretty cool views. Overall, we had a lot of fun! Only downside is that we expected the tour to take a little bit longer.
Beautiful cave experience! You start with a guided walk through the cave, then continue with a short boat ride, and afterward you can explore on your own at your own pace on the way back. Inside it’s a refreshing 9°C, so it feels nice and cool. You can also rent a blanket at the entrance for just €0.50 and return it afterward. You can pay by card, and there’s a small coffee place with a toilet (most likely you should buy something if you want to use it). Overall, a beautiful and unique experience!
A very unique spot to visit in vicinity of Vienna which takes around 45-50 minutes to go through. You start walking into the cave and a guide explains you few things at various spots and at the end is a boat trip at lowest level (60m below ground level). The ticket costs 18 euros per person. You have possibility to rent something warm (1 euro) to wear if you forgot to come dressed for lower temperature inside. The boat trip is the best part. With lighting the whole thing looks fantastic. You can find parking for car at the street next to it or go near the tennis place to park (beware to not park on Privatgrund of tennis place). Overall worth the buck.
Amazing experience near Vienna Interesting WW2 history and a beautiful underground lake Temperature is 9 degrees year round which is refreshing during the summer You start with a guided tour and can continue to explore the cave afterwards A small cafe is available Location is very easy to access via public transport All you do is take the s bahn or regional express train to Mödling and then take a bus directly to the cave Would highly recommend
Great experience and learnt a lot about the history of this place - fascinating! The boat tour guide Kinley was very friendly and funny, answered all our questions and allowed us to spend more time on the boat.

Beautiful place for a day with the family. There are activities for all ages, you just need to pick your own. Playground, some bigger animals as goats, donkeys or sheep, hiking to see the ruins and Beautiful views.
Great place for kids and families! Beautiful forest, lovely views, and some fun wildlife — we even saw boars running around freely. The trail isn’t too long, so it’s ideal for younger kids too. There's also a game you can play with the app, which adds a bit of extra fun. That said, there aren’t many staff around to keep an eye out, and the entrance fee feels a bit pricey for the short length of the trail. Still, a nice outdoor activity overall — peaceful setting, fresh air, and a good mix of nature and entertainment. Would recommend for a relaxed family outing!
Great park to spend the day, esp with kids. The playground is amazing with lots of options, even a little river runs through which is so fun for little ones. There’s a BBQ area too and lots of benches to sit down, some also covered should rain hit. There’s 5 well indicated hiking routes - some also take you up to higher grounds but we only managed the shortest which is stroller friendly. Lots of animals, obviously the free roaming boar are the highlight. Totally worth it coming from Vienna for a couple of hours outdoors.
Great park. Wild boar roam free. Nice paths. There are more routes. One is good for wheelchair and stroller. We will come back.
Some really friendly donkeys, beautiful pond, pathway and great kids playground.
So lovely parc close to Viena, accesible by car in 15-20 minutes. There you can observe in very natural way how wild pigs are feeded and how they live, but also you can get for a walk on the forest paths for relaxing and well-being while the birds are singing their beautiful songs.
Beautiful place to be in nature. Very spacious playground. Kids enjoyed.
It is a really nice nature reserve to visit. Short and long hiking routes are available. There are some grilling places what you can book in advance, which is fun. Lot of facilities next to the trails, playground for the kids. Close by to Wien
