Awesome place, great location. Just near restaurants and beach clubs. The people there are so nice and accommodating 😊 especially the lady in the bar who makes our iced coffees every morning 😊. Room is so clean and AC was working well (we booked a twin bed ensuite). Pickup from the port is a nice and helpful amenity. And the bus stop is just at the hostel so best location really.
Pros: Beautiful common areas. The pool is nice and there is a lot of space and sunbeds. The rooms are clean (no AC so it is very hot, but that we knew because it is written in the description). The showers are also spacious. Great view and great place to meet people. Cons: Picnic tables are incorporated in the restaurant area so we can’t bring outside food. Only food and alcohol from their market is accepted. For a place claiming to be a hostel we feel it's unacceptable, they should add a common area near the accommodation. There are signs saying free sunbeds but some staff members were so "pushy" that people felt obliged to buy something, some people changed place due to extreme "pushiness".The wifi is also not good. It is a beautiful place but we feel that for the price we paid, it should have been better.
I wasn't sure what to think before arriving, but this hostel definitely went above my expectations! The location is amazing, the restaurants and bars are so good and the food is delicious, but a little on the expensive side (like the whole island). The pool is also a great alternative to the beach. Showers and toilets are basic. We stayed in a 4 person tent and it was actually nice, but again basic. The music turns off at midnight so I was able to sleep quite well every night Staff always pleasant. A bus comes every hour to take you to Mykonos town, with the bus stop right in front of the hostel. Very good location! Would definitely revisit.
Paraga is a beautiful, drop dead gorgeous location with a pool and just good enough lodging. If you are looking for a resort this is one on the cheaper side. But for travelers like me who like the social aspect of Hostels, you should know that THIS IS NOT A HOSTEL. It is a resort. Actually, it reminds me far more of summer camp as a kid than it reminds me of a Hostel. Now, the location and staff are nice. In fact I had a very pleasant stay, but some of us are looking for that social aspect if we are traveling alone. So for singles, I wouldn't recommend it. For couples or more, have fun! *also, there is a bus to the city center which is nice*
We were very surprised and please with our stay at Paraga. Everything was reasonably priced despite other reviews saying things were outrageous. The convenience store had liquor for no or very small mark up. Good selection of food and drink, we enjoyed all of it. The Hostel was a great place to meet people and we had a great time in the water nearby. The only reason I don't give 4 stars is because the service and especially the security staff was abnoxious, we were playing some drinking games with other guests in the 'take away area' where they have huge tables and you can bring your market purchased goods. The security tried kicking out the 10 or so people we were with at 9:30 pm. No explanation or warning of any sort. No way to treat guests. One positive on the security however was that they removed a guy who was bothering women we we sitting with... General creep stuff.
Stay way from this place! The dorms are terrible, it looks like a military base! there is one unique plug inside the room ( for 4 people) where you could turn on a ridiculous fan! The dorm is very very warm! Also, there is loud music until 2am and 3 different songs playing at once! Just to get you crazy! The worst part are the staffs! All of them are extremely rudes, specially the one at the restaurant! He would throw the menus and the ashtray on us! The only good thing you can find there is the food! Everything from the menu is really good! Just be careful with the waiter...... We like party and all but this was too much! We were supposed to stay at this hostel for 5 night but we couldn't do it so we left one day before and paid another accommodation that was only 10 euros extra a day but is amazing!
Great value for the money, clean and has everything you need- bar, cafe, market. Also only a 10 minute walk through a trail to get to Paradise beach which had an awesome night life! Cons- terrible wifi, I never could connect. No AC but it was 72 Fahrenheit at night so I slept fine. The staff by the sunbeds were pushy, I saw them kick out multiple pairs of people so they could bring in new paying customers.. but if they didn't kick you out you could enjoy ordering from your chair and have food/drink delivered. Overall- would definitely return and think it was well with the price
Paraga beach hostel is average. The location is good right on paraga beach walking distance to paradise beach, where a lot of the clubs are. The free shuttle bus to airport and dock is a definite plus. They’ve recently upgraded the pool area and it looks a lot like a resort which is very nice. The chairs there they say are “free” but then when you sit down you have to spend at least 10 euro on food or drink. The resturaunr is disgusting. There is nothing cheaper than 10 euro on there and the food is one of the worst I’ve had on my trip so far. They have a mini mart there but then again it’s 4 euro for a bag of chips. The service is awful at the eating places. So so so rude and they expect huge tips after offering disgusting customer service. The cleaning staff and reception staff are lovely though. The bathrooms are always spotless clean. Which was lovely. And there is a bakery open from 11pm to like 5am so that’s awesome as well. It’s defiantly a party hostel, which I personally liked. The common area is awesome. Such a great way to meet people. The place is riddle with bed bugs as well so that was gross. Look it’s a good place to stay if you have a budget, and it’s very beautiful. But the service, prices and bed bugs ruined it for me
