Our experience at Bee’s Sanctuary was absolutely beautiful. From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by wonderful, welcoming staff and truly amazing animals. What stood out the most was how deeply ethical the sanctuary is — it was so meaningful to enjoy the presence of the elephants in their natural environment without interaction . Just being near them and observing their behavior was incredibly powerful. We also learned so much during our time here. The staff took time to educate us about the elephants and the importance of ethical tourism, which made the whole experience even more impactful. The meals were delicious !! A very special thank you to Ty and Em — two wonderful people who made our visit even more memorable with their kindness and dedication. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a responsible and enriching wildlife experience!
Without doubt, the highlight of our trip to Thailand!! We stayed at BEES for four days and truly had the most amazing time!! We met the kindest people and truly felt at home. Mae Dok, Mae Kam and Thong Dee, the three elephants, are incredibly loved and happy and so are the many many dogs and cats the sanctuary has adopted. Thank you for everything! We will always remember our time at BEES.
Our stay at BEES was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We stayed for one night, which felt like the perfect amount of time for us. I know some people stay longer and love it, but we’re not exactly the “forest life” type — still, it was an incredible experience for one night! On the first day, we were picked up from our hotel by Tan and made our way to Doi Inthanon. Along the way, we stopped at a couple of waterfalls and viewpoints, which were absolutely stunning. Tan was a great driver and very funny! When we arrived at the sanctuary, we were introduced to everyone, including Dee, Em, and Greasy (sorry if that’s spelled wrong!). We helped prepare food for the elephants — even got to use a machete to chop pumpkins! Afterwards, we enjoyed a lovely dinner and some free time in the evening. My partner went to sleep, but I stayed up playing board games with the others, who made us feel so welcome. The next day was the trek with the elephants. It didn’t take long to find them — maybe a 15-minute walk — and then we spent about five or six hours walking alongside them through rivers and forest. It was truly amazing. In summary, we absolutely recommend this experience. It took us far out of our comfort zones, but it was completely worth it. The dogs and cats at the sanctuary were such a bonus — we already miss Shadow, Champ, Frankie, Rowan, Big Red, Gizmo, and Madame 🐕❤️ Lastly, I really want to mention how incredible the team was with my allergies. If you have any allergies or dietary requirements, don’t worry — they’ll take great care of you.
This was the highlight of our trip to Thailand. All the staff were lovely, helpful and knowledgeable. We started the day of with having and excellent breakfast where we had lots of fruit as well as being able to try many Thai traditional deserts which were delicious. After we went to make fruit salad for the elderly elephant and watched it eat. The elephant has so much space to walk around and all the staff truly care about every single elephant. After this we started out walk. The sanctuary kindly provides wellies but you will be at one with nature so bring clothes that are okay to get dirty. There were also so many cute dogs who came on the walk with us if they wanted. We got to see the other elephants a lot but keeping a good distance. One of the best parts to seen the elephants was when they waded through the small waterfall- it was beautiful. Apart from the elephants and dogs the staff pointed out many interesting things such as a bubble plant and different wildlife. One time was when we went in a cave and saw many bats and an owl. All in all this was an amazing experience which we will cherish for life. Thank you so much. We hope to return soon.
Truely one of the most magical experiences, something I will never forget and will talk about forever. Bees is a true ethical, no touch, sanctuary. We wanted to experience the most natural way possible and this experience was more than we expected. Hiking 6 hours with the elephants, who got to choose their path was a dream. We simply followed them or moved out of their way to ensure we had no impact to their daily routine. The staff, guides and care takers are all so passionate, friendly, funny & caring. They go out of their way to ensure you enjoy every moment. Thank you! The dogs were another highlight, all so kind & gentle. The food was delicious, the accomodation was comfortable with a good night sleep listening to nature. The staff showed us around some local spots and we even went for a swim cool water spring. There are many more highlights to add. If I could give a high rating I would. Thank you BEES
Our experience at the BEES sanctuary was truly amazing! Like many reviews have already mentioned, the people there(Tee, Em, Burm, Emily, and all the others) are very friendly and hospitable. You really feel included. The experience of seeing these majestic elephants in their natural environment is truly breathtaking. The elephants are very well cared for and live a happy life. We had an overnight stay but wish we had stayed longer! But even for such a short visit we had great fun and the people and animals there left a lasting impression. Aside from three elephants, they also have many cats and dogs (they are very friendly). Our activities included preparing food for the elderly elephant Thong Dee and walking around the jungle with the elephants and dogs. We were even invited to the blessing of their new office, which was also an amazing experience that we will treasure. If you are thinking of visiting an elephant sanctuary in Thailand, this is definetly the place to go! -Julija and Tine
Oh my gosh what an incredible place 🥹 I spent 3 nights at BEES, and it was beyond anything I could have ever imagined. The experience is something that I will cherish for the rest of my life. The sanctuary really is a sanctuary. I had the most wholesome 4 days with some of the most beautiful people, we were welcomed into their community with open arms. The overwhelming feeling of love is something I don't think I have ever felt before. The people, the dogs (& cats), the food, the community, and of course the three beautiful elephants, all of whom have been rescued. The whole experience was just out of this world 😭🥹 🥰 It was the perfect way to end my travels 💗💗💗
An extremely heartwarming and memorable experience From the moment Tan picked us up and navigated the winding small roads, we felt safe and cared for. Thank you Tan, Ty, Em, and every single person we met at BEES. Although our stay was short, it truly felt like home. It still amazes me how people from different backgrounds, who start as strangers, can come together and share such meaningful moments. We were deeply moved by the team’s passion and dedication - their genuine love, respect, and care for both the animals and the forest. You showed us not just the beauty of nature but also the fun side of the forest. Another moment that truly stayed with us was meeting Madame (one of the many rescued dogs). Thank you, Madame, for teaching us resilience. This experience still stays with us after we left. We’ll definitely return for a longer stay!

Very Beautiful waterfall .
Not to be missed when you are in Doi Inthanon National Park. This waterfall is majestic and easily accessible. It's about 500m walk from the parking lot.
Incredibly beautiful waterfall with multiple levels. Only ground level is bathable. The location is a small detour from the way to doi Inthanon national park

Beautiful pool, warm water, private rooms and massage for reasonable price
Hot Springs operated by Op Luang National Park. If you want to take the waters there are small huts with showers & soaking tubs. If you are in the area it is worth a stop.
Staff not at all welcoming, creating a bad atmosphere. The private baths are run-down and a bit dirty, and with no view of the beautiful stream and forest area! But.. the water is hot and natural and can still be enjoyable and restorative
The tiled pools weren’t open and the main pool had trash in it. The bathrooms were clean which was nice but it was a complete waste of money (100 Bhat/Adult 50 Bhat/kid). If you wanted to go in the water by the spa it was an extra 50 bhat and again, there was trash in the water. Total waste of money for us. Not sure if it’s because it’s the slow season they drained the tiled pools but the water you could go in seemed pretty gross.
Do come but be prepared. It is an unusual experience and certainly not ‘touristy’. Necessary to bring: towel, bathing suit, flipflops or swimming shoes. There is a small walk around (wear good shoes, some places broken) towards the 90 degrees spring at the back of the lake. It looks dirty but that is the natural situation of the place. Walk back to the main entrance (sign) side of the lake. At the back of the main building (tourist info not existing) there are 2 bathing houses (male/female) for showering and toilets. Change in a shower, put on your swimwear and go to the lake. Wear flipflops or swimshoes for best comfort since the bottom of the lake is hot!! There is only 1 place where you can enter the lake and this requires a small step (see video). The lake bottom is filled with natural green residue and lake is not deep. The water is around 40-42 degrees Celsius so do swim (not deep, you can stand) around a little bit. You can experience some hotter spots (spring of hot water) coming out of the bottom. The bottom is hotter for your feet (wear shoes or be prepared) and closer to middle of lake the water also gets hotter. Entrance fee 100B for tourists
Run down. Filthy facilities. 120 baht to enter. 50 baht to soak. 20 baht for a towel (not fresh smell) Very basic at best. However, water was hot and refreshing.
It's a place pretty much neglected. In my opinion don't worth a visit. I met pools empty, spa rooms not clean, no massage service. Nothing to do except put the feet into a kind of pond. The problem is that they charge you 100 baht just to enter the area. Once I understood that there was nothing to do I claimed my money back. They were honest and they gave me back the money.
visited and camped there twice and no one came requesting the 200thb rip off farang fee to enter maybe because it is still under renovation/construction. The lake/pool is a mix of thermal water and regular water.it is warm. there are private pools for another fee but both times none of the Thais used them (may be under construction).possible ti camp there for free also (for now)
