I had an amazing experience with JAYA TREKKER while exploring Tetebatu, Lombok. From start to finish, their service was exceptional! They planned everything perfectly, making my trip smooth and enjoyable. The accommodation they arranged was fantastic, offering a breathtaking view of the lush paddy fields—waking up to that scenery was truly unforgettable. On top of that, the meals they prepared were absolutely delicious, giving me a taste of authentic local flavors. Their local knowledge and attention to detail made the whole journey even more special. If you're looking for a reliable and professional travel agent in Tetebatu, Lombok, I highly recommend them. Thank you for making my trip so memorable!
Better and great organized mountain tracking, I went to following his company to climbing Rinjani south track, it was from Tetebatu, the track is amazing with many old trees, and wonderful views, we did 2 days and 1 night. Tent, foods and the others equipment, it was already prepared as well, hi porter Aziz and Yan and guide Subuh very friendly and helpful they're brilliant both. After the best experience and next is I'm always sending my customers to him. Thanks lots Jaya Tracking was great experience with your team. Good luck and blessings Brother.
The hike was amazing — I totally recommend it! A friend who went solo told me about it. I was also going to do it alone, but a couple joined me and we had the best time. The views are absolutely breathtaking, and the guide and porters were incredible! Super friendly, always helping us during the hike, and honestly so funny — they kept us laughing the whole way. We went at our own pace, and every time we took a break, they’d set up a spot for us to sit that wasn’t just on the ground. We honestly felt like princesses with how well they treated us! It felt super safe the whole time, and they really made sure we were having a great time. When I got cold, they even gave me extra jackets. And the food — so delicious!
We did the 2D/1N from Tetebatu to Sangkareang summit with Adiyan as our guide and a brilliant team of porters/cooks who looked after us so well. It was a hard but beautiful hike through a lot of forest with a fantastic campsite at 2300 m. We were slightly concerned about safety as someone had just died on the main Rinjani route but this one felt very safe and there was an extra porter/guide behind us in the dark to make sure we were all ok. Also just us and a small group of locals at the summit.
2D1N trekking from Tetebatu to the Sangkareang was an unforgettable experience. We completed the trek at the beginning of July. The trek is through the lush jungle, which provides shade from the sun. Definitely get ready to get sweaty, make sure you get some extra t-shirt, as temperatures can change quickly and you can get cold if you’re wearing sweaty t shirt. Have a mosquito repellent when walking through the jungle. For the beginning of the trek you would recommend shorts and t shirt as it’s humid and hot. The hike was challenging, would not recommend for people with low fitness level. But you get fuelled with loads of snacks and get rewarded with breathtaking views. The mornings were sunny, but afternoons are cloudy and as you hike you walk in the clouds, have a rain jacket on hand, once the sun is down it gets really chilly. However, the wonderful team set the bonfire and Jaya provided us with warm jackets. The terrain - you don’t need hiking boots, trail runners or even sandals with a good grip are suitable. The path is covered in tree roots which can be slippery so good grip shoes are recommended. Also would suggest water proof shoes. Rain in the afternoon is common. When we reached the top we were the only people there, enjoying the most stunning views of the clouds and mountains. Many thanks to our guide Aridiyan who was so attentive and carrying, always offering snacks and tea/coffee, such a cool guy, was pleasure to chat with him. Huge respect to the porters Salhi, Zuhl and Irsan (sorry if I spelled it wrong), these guys were carrying a heavy load and all the supplies. The team provided us with 5 star hotel experience - we had mattress, pillows and a warm sleeping bag, the food was sooo good, good portion of protein (chicken, tempeh, tofu, eggs) that kept us going, every meal was accompanied by a fruit platter. We had a huge bag of snacks which was much needed on the way up, a local chocolate bar beng-beng was the best fuel. Honestly, felt spoiled. We also got a privilege to meet Jaya and his wonderful family. This was easily one of the best experiences on our 8months travels. Thank you so much!
We had such a great experience! Adiyan and the team were brilliant at caring for us on the trip and made a difficult hike a lot easier. The food (terima kasih, Salih) was surprisingly tasty as well considering it was prepared over 2000 meters above sea level! The trip overall was breathtaking. Great memories ❤
Unforgettable experience! 🩵 Great guide Yan and amazing porters, awesome food cooked in the middle of the jungle. I did the Sangkareang summit (2nd of Lombok) in two days one night. Whether you think the Rinjani summit is too much for you or you just want to do a hiking off the beaten track, but with de breathtaking views of the Rinjani at sunrise, choose this one starting from Tetebatu.
We did the 2D1N trek on Mount Rinjani with Jaya Trekker and it was absolutely amazing! Our porters were incredible, so strong, kind, and always smiling. The food they prepared was excellent. Everything was so well organized, from the camp setup to the trekking support all the way up. The views were breathtaking and the overall experience was unforgettable. Highly recommend Jayak Trekker to anyone wanting to hike Rinjani. they really made it special! Biggest thank you to Owan and the 3 porters, we got the best ones!!

We had a great time visiting Tetebatu, learning about the rice fields and local activities. Our guide, Dani, was very professional and always made sure we were comfortable and OK. So big thanks to him, for guiding us through Tetebatu with such enthusiasm. Also huge thanks to our driver Kiki, who drove back and forth from Senggigi all the way to Tetebatu to pick us up. 🙌 Highly recommend this day trip!
Adi and Kiki were both incredible! Kiki took us to Tetebatu and gave us history lessons on the way there and Adi was a great tour guide that explained the process of making rice and how to make coconut oil. It was a great tour to walk around the villages and see the locals with their day to day lives. The waterfalls were also really good and refreshing! Thank you so much to the team for a great experience!!
Great day tour with Johnny!! We stayed a few days in Gili Air and wanted to do a day trip to Lombok from Gili Air. To be honest, we prefer to choose the tour guides on our own instead of just being chatted up on the street. After a little online research we came across Johnny and didn't regret it one bit. We spoke directly via WhatsApp because we found an interesting offer for a day tour on Johnnys website to be quite appealing (Tetebatu Walking Tour). Johnny was super spontaneous and flexible, so he organized our pick-up directly from Gili Air, although the trips usually start in Lombok. A private speedboat picked us up from the front door of our accommodation and brought us back later. It was only 10 minutes by speedboat to Lombok. When we arrived in Lombok, the driver gave us a friendly welcome (named Ivan?). Of all the drivers we had in the 4 weeks, he was the best. Because the journey to Tetebatu took a good 90 minutes drive, we were glad to have Ivan as our driver. He also kept us supplied with water. We also needed a pharmacy (pharmacies on Gili Air are a joke). Our driver then went straight to all possible pharmacies (most of them were still closed) until we found one. Johnny kept calling to check if we were okay, etc., very attentive. Finally arrived at the meeting point, there was real Lombok coffee and by far the best banana pancake (we had about 500 banana pancakes on our vacation, none were that good) as breakfast. Because we left the accommodation at 6 a.m., we didn't have breakfast. But Johnny took care of it and we didn't have to stay hungry. Then we took a walk through the great rice fields and Johnny told a lot about cultivation, harvest and the different types of rice. Then we walked to the nearby village, Johnny is known all over the place, so we had a little chat with the locals everywhere. We were shown the process of making coconut oil and explained by Johnny - quite exciting to watch. During our walking tour we passed by a waterfall that was hidden in sort of a cave - very beautiful!!  Afterwards Johnny took us to a village where part of his family lives. Thanks Johnny for letting us into your family's private four walls, that was actually the highlight! Warm hospitality from his grandma and great-grandpa! It was something different to enjoy a Lombok coffee sitting on the floor in a bamboo hut, with such great company. Thank you for letting us experience this! In the end we went to see some real wild life Black Monkeys in the monkey forest (nothing like the touristic monkey forests in Ubud). All the entrance fees and the lunch were also included in the price. We paid by Paypal which was very comfortable for us. So be sure to book your excursion with Johnny, he is very organized, professional and above all very funny, we were always joking around and were having fun. Johnny stay healthy! Silvana & Ida
Jonny is the Best of the best Tour Guide in Lombok-Tetebatu, Unforgettable experience with him.
Amazing experience hiking Mt Rinjani with Boko and his crew from Jonny Tour Guide. We hiked to the 2nd summit where we saw the sun rise from behind the 1st summit, which was stunning. We loved seeing the lake, Mt Agung in Bali, and also the Gili Islands from the top. The route we went was mostly shaded by the jungle, which made a challenging walk a lot more enjoyable. The food on the hike was really good too! We loved Tetebatu because the people were so welcoming, and the surrounding landscape of rice fields and hidden waterfalls was beautiful to say the least. We would highly recommend the 2 day 1 night hike and a visit to Tetebatu if you are coming to Lombok!
We had a great day that started with Kiki, our driver, picking us up and looking after us all the way to Tetebatu. He was extremely friendly and always checking in in case we needed anything. The tour of tetebatu itself was amazing and Adi was an excellent tour guide - a very sweet and nice guy! Really worth the visit as you get to see a different and more authentic side to Lombok. Highly recommend it
I took the Snorkelling tour day trip to Gili Islands with Jonny tour. Everything was perfect with our driver @Jamil and our boat captain @Ardhi. We took so many good photos and videos with Go Pro provided by the boat. It was a memorable experience for us seeing beautiful fishes, corals and sea turtle. Definitely recommended Jonny tour if you want to explore Lombok or Gili islands!
We had an amazing day with Antoni and Oni! They were super fun, friendly, and showed us all the best spots around Tetebatu. Highly recommend this walking tour!

We did an all in one rice fields + waterfall for 100k per person. The nicest guide of all Lombok came with us. Way better and more real than in Bali. At the starting point you can buy fresh vanilla sticks for 100k a pack of 6-8. Highly recommended.
The journey to the waterfall was truly an adventure — at times we had to wade through water up to our waist. But the deeper we went, the more magical the surroundings became, turning the whole path into a fairytale. The waterfall itself is hidden from view, which adds a special charm and sense of secrecy. A true reward for those willing to make the effort for beauty
Great waterfall. Not very accessible for people that have difficulties to walk. Enjoyed it a lot. We had to pay 20k per person to enter. They provided a cleaning room.
Really nice and easy accessible waterfall. Entry is 20k per adult.
Nice little waterfall with a unique entrance. Worth stopping in. Be prepared to get your feet wet. 20k entrance fee
Great canyon waterfalls. Huge hospitality from local community and cheap tickets to enter or can walk around river and rice terrace woth view on Rinjani south side. Recommend for daily walks and refreshing air.
Do not leave your personal belongings at the ticket office or parking area! We were robbed — the young guys at the entrance encouraged us to leave our backpacks because “everything will get wet at the waterfall.” When we picked up the bag afterward, the money was missing from my wallet. We went back and tried to talk to them, then to some older men at the parking lot, but no one wanted to speak English. It really seemed like they were covering for each other. Very unpleasant and suspicious situation. Be careful with your belongings.
Not the biggest baddest waterfall in Lombok but the surroundings and peacefulness of the place was 5 star. Definitely use the "guide" service as they are friendly, speak great English, and are fun to visit with and learn from. I would highly recommend this waterfall if you happen to be in the area.
