It is ironic that Bossard was a Professor of art, though after visiting is virtually impossible to imagine him ever saying to a student that “less is often more”. His interiors exhibit a total inability to self-edit, with every technique known to humans used to achieve their underwhelming effect. I think there must be great collective relief that he did not have access to tinsel and glitter or every room would have also been covered in them. While it is true that this is a highly distinctive holiday home, it has questionable claim to funding as valuable art. It could however have enormous potential for tours for arts students to strikingly illustrate what happens when your ambition exceeds your sense of taste. Could also be valuable for architects and structural engineers to show them what not to do. Overall a nice place on a sunny day, some nice visuals.
