Spathi Beach Suites is a hidden gem, thanks to its outstanding location right on the beach. Here, you experience a pristine, non-touristy environment that is simply beautiful. The service is truly top-notch – the staff seems to anticipate your every need. The restaurant offers an excellent selection of food and drinks, with outstanding quality. The atmosphere is relaxed and intimate, as the hotel and restaurant are the main features of the area. I spent a week here with my son, and the time just flew by. The drive to the hotel is a bit adventurous due to some rough roads, but if you choose the right route, it’s absolutely manageable and well worth the effort. Overall, our stay at Spathi Beach Suites was dreamy and unforgettable. We felt completely at home and can highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, authentic, and relaxing getaway away from the hustle and bustle.
We came by boat with 10 people to have dinner at this nice placed restaurant. Four of us stayed in one of the rooms for one night. The room was ok. The terrace and the sunbeds were dirty and we had some big spiders hanging around the windows. Inside the room it was tidy. The location is impressive and that’s the problem because there is no competition, because there aren’t any other hotels. The restaurant is except of the ambience really a joke. The meals were so small and tasted bad. The meat was chewy, the fries were soggy, the pork chops were rare, the rice super dry. There was no meal properly and nicely made. It’s a shame to have such a nice location but to offer such horrible food. The staff was nice but also not well trained. They never asked if everything was fine. Also the fact that there are a lot of bad reviews don’t appear to change anything. The breakfast showed it again the next day. Cold eggs, omeletts and bacon. Dry bread and sugered juices. And for the good coffee from the machine you pay extra. We are happy to be back on the boat. I told the manager our complaints. I think nothing will change because of no competing nearby hotels and restaurants. Don’t come here it’s a tourist rip off.
Our experience at this establishment was deeply disappointing due to poor service management and a clear lack of professionalism in resolving a perfectly avoidable misunderstanding. After finishing our lunch at the restaurant, we asked twice if we could have our coffee on the beach sunbeds. On both occasions, the staff confirmed that we could, so we went down and placed our coffee order through the digital QR code system. Shortly after, a waitress approached us and, in a very discourteous manner, informed us that using the sunbeds cost €50. We explained that we had just come from the restaurant, where we had already asked and were clearly told that we could go down to have our coffee without any issue. After hearing our explanation, she simply said “OK” and walked away, without making any further comment or mention of a charge. Later, when our coffees arrived, we noticed on the receipt that we had been charged €57 – that is, the coffees plus €50 for the sunbeds. At that point, we returned to the restaurant to clarify the situation. We spoke with the manager, who, instead of trying to understand the issue, repeatedly insisted that “sunbeds must be paid for,” showing no willingness to actually listen to what we were explaining: that we had received prior confirmation from her team, with no mention of any extra charge, and that had we known, we would have simply enjoyed our coffee at the table. Eventually, after taking the time to explain something as straightforward as the fact that we were not questioning the price of a service, but rather the lack of communication, they agreed to refund the €50. What could have been resolved with a minimum amount of attention and willingness to listen turned into an unnecessarily uncomfortable situation. The waitress's inappropriate attitude and the manager’s lack of self-awareness left us with a very negative impression — unworthy of a place that aims to offer a quality experience. A real shame, especially considering that we were planning to dine at this restaurant for the next 15 days, both for lunch and dinner. But clearly, they neither need nor value customers who approach them with respect, goodwill, and the clear.
What a wonderful Place. Dirty streets (Nice adventure) lead you to a great Beach! The Best ist that it is Not crowded. Nice staff at the spathi beach suits are taking care around the clock. Perfect with the Sandy beach for Families and also couples who want to enjoy nature, silence and great sea. I would come back any time!
We just visited the beach and ordered from the bar. They charge 50 euros for the 1st row of the sunbeds, 40 for the 2nd and 30 for the third. We ordered chicken wraps of 12-13 euro each with no fries, just some salad leaves and the chicken was un-existed. Was literally 3 pieces of it in the whole wrap. That was the worst wrap I have ever had. It is unacceptable, if you cannot serve it right don't serve it all. It was a joke.
We recently stayed at Spathi Beach Suites in Kea. The beach right in-front of the hotel is absolutely stunning and super clean. The staff at the hotel were attentive and kind. Unfortunately, the breakfast buffet was disappointing, starting quite late at 9:00 a.m. which can be frustrating if you’re an early riser. The plates and cutlery were often dirty, and the food not only looked unappetizing but also tasted bland. There were very few options for main dishes throughout the day, and the quality did not improve beyond breakfast. Overall, food-wise and hygiene-wise, the hotel fell significantly short of expectations. Additionally, the room itself was poorly designed, with an awkward layout. The bathroom was especially problematic, there was no shower curtain or divider, so the entire floor would flood after a shower. To make things worse, the tissue paper was placed right next to the shower, constantly getting wet, which made the whole experience quite unpleasant.
Just checked in an hour ago . Total waste of time and money . Tough road to reach but ok passable and at least wide . Terribly small room , unclean , old equipment like a 20yp ac, worst softest mattress I have ever tried . Beach and sea is ok , Nothing special for Greece standards . Total Waste . I paid 10 days and I will probably sleep the night and leave .
This review is related to the beach bar and umbrellas. Two umbrellas 40 euros. Dirty matresses.Menu cards in bad condition. Espresso freddo 5 euros. Very expensive for a remote beach hard to reach.
