A beautiful island that has a beach feel and historic nostalgia!! Spend a day on the beach, visit the Marina, tour the Hotel Del Colorado!!!! Or, take a stroll downtown and visit the many shops a restaurants!!! If you have a furry friend, visit the dog friendly beach!!! Tons to do and see! This is a must visit if you are in San Diego!!!
Coronado Island, located across the bay from downtown San Diego, boasts elegant rose-filled gardens, a sparkling coastline, spacious sandy beaches, quaint shops, and historic hotels. This paradise island serves as the perfect choice for an urban getaway.
The island offered one of the most breathtaking sunsets I have ever witnessed. As the sun slowly dipped below the horizon, the sky transformed into shades of orange, pink, and purple, casting a golden glow over the water. The gentle sound of waves and the cool evening breeze created a serene and peaceful atmosphere.
Went to navy lodge on the base. Island has lots of stores. Nice place to walk around. Several good restaurants. I went to Mexican restaurant Miguel's Cocina. Food was good and price was right. Free street parking if you can find a spot. Few good bars downtown.
Great place. Nice dog beach. Parking is a challenge sometimes. It's s great place to chill and relax.
This place is always awesome to check out all of the skyscrapers. And if you’re on the adventurous side, jump onto the ferry and take a cruise to the other side of the world.
Very nice photos can be done here..dress for the occasion an be sure to arrive before sunset!
So glad we made the trip over the bridge to Coronado Island on our recent trip. It's not a very big island but if you have an extra time it's worth it.

Beautiful, Clean, and Lively Beach! We visited Coronado Beach on a Saturday and had a great time. It gets pretty busy around noon, and parking on Ocean Blvd was tough we had to drive around for 10–15 minutes before finally finding parking on nearby streets like Pine St, Marina Ave, G Ave, or F Ave. From there, it’s just a short walk to the beach. The beach is clean and well-maintained with restrooms and showers available there are a couple of outdoor showers and two indoor ones inside the restrooms. There are 6 beach volleyball nets set up and available for public use, which adds a fun and active vibe to the area. We also saw lots of surfers and even a few people with private jet skis. You can even rent a firepit for a few hours, which is a great way to relax later in the day. Lifeguards are on duty, so safety is covered. Overall, it’s a lively and scenic beach perfect for a day of fun, just make sure to come early if you want easy parking!
The beach is beautiful. Sunsets are amazing here in August. I see dolphins about every third time I am here. The second image is a video of dolphins jumping.
Beautiful beach that stretches pretty long. Visited in September and found it to be a beautiful spot to enjoy a sunny day. Wasn't overly crowded at all, and although I understand there are issues with Tijuana discharging waste towards the U.S., the water seemed clean. Watch the seagulls. They try getting in to people bags on the beach. They seem to have gotten pretty good at it
Beautiful and clean beach with soft sand and amazing ocean views. It has convenient showers and restrooms, which is great after swimming. Good place to relax and watch the sunset.
One of my favorite beaches in San Diego. Used to be one of America’s best beaches. This is a great place for a run, see the naval airplanes, land, and takeoff, bring your dog to the dog beach, have a bonfire, or walk around the car at a hotel del Coronado. Just be wary of the hazard of the water coming from Tijuana There is a QR code that you can track. Other than that, this is the beach that has a lot of sand that you can relax on or play volleyball
Beautiful long beach, which keeps it from feeling too busy, and one of the best spots close to town to enjoy the ocean. Great view of the Hotel del Coronado too!
Great place to chill! Plenty of space. Parking can be challenging, but so far, so good (so what) IYKYK
One of the best beaches in San Diego. Got to see the Navy ships in the far distance and helicopters flying by. The breeze feels wonderful.

We had an awesome time camping in our RV. We were warmly greeted by Melissa (staff), who was super nice and she got us checked in and she gave us a campground map and rules. Anthony(staff), was very helpful & friendly. He helped us find our RV spot. Anthony was walking by our campsite and noticed I was having trouble getting my RV plugged up and he showed me how to do it properly. The campground was very organized and well run and all the staff were efficient & pleasant. The overall campground had a great atmosphere and in the later evening it was nice & quiet. The other campers were friendly. The kids were well behaved and dogs too. We had fun talking and interacting with the other campers and we petted quite a few dogs. We met a lot of nice people. It was a great place to relax. We didn't think about anything except taking it easy. Tip: use the Mobile dump service guy to make it easy.
No swimming due to Tijuana waste contamination, but you can walk the beach. The bay is open for swimming, so we were able to walk through the tunnel and let the kids swim still. Overall clean and well maintained, but very tight spaces in RV spots. If the spaces were bigger or the beach was open to swim I would have given more stars, but the beach was pretty empty when we went so overall it was ok.
Sand is everywhere, but that's what you want on a beach. RV Park crowded one against another, shoulder close, but the premium spots back up to the beach. Really nice views.
Excellent! We went on a Saturday morning and there were very few people. The beach is nice and natural, no commercial raking to make everything too pretty like tourist spots. Highly recommend.
Great location beach was empty around 12. Plenty of parking but it 15 bucks for parking. Lots of stingrays
I've wanted to come here forever and finally got the chance on the way back home, off the hook, easy bike to restaurants and groceries, love this place! Staff and volunteers are very helpful and friendly!!
Excellent place to play and stay with an RV. Very secure and safe. Rangers are accommodating and the place is clean.
Beautiful smooth beach and not a bad crowd during the day on August 1, 2004. Warm water, found some seashells and sand dollars. Good bathroom and outdoor showers with lots of parking. $12 day pass to park at this wonderful state park just a few miles south of the gorgeous Hotel Del Coronado. Definitely check it out if you’re looking for a peaceful and beautiful beach!

Always a great quaint and personal venue to see performances. The staff is always pleasant the productions 5 Star. Just saw the 70's show and it was awesome. Highly recommend.
Fabulous performers & great show. Second time to show, our group went in 70s attire. Much enthusiasm, just a super sing along, bringing back amazing memories of the 70s. Go if you have a chance, you won't be fis
Recently saw “Jane: A Ghost Story” at Lamb’s Players Theatre on Coronado. We attend one or two performances every year and this year opted for season tickets with our dates being preview Saturday matinee shows at 2pm. Productions are always first-rate and “Jane” did not disappoint. The theatre is intimate, with only seven rows of stadium seating covering more than 180 degrees of the stage. There are no bad seats, viewing-wise, except for possible railing providing partial view with the exits below. What you must keep in mind is that the rows are tight and leg space very minimal, unless you are on the ground floor (A) or top row (G). Whether performances are musicals or dramas, Lamb’s does a terrific job. Parking is always an issue and the closest garages are ridiculously priced, so go early and park on a neighborhood street where there are no two-hour restrictions. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance. Great venue. Highly recommend Lamb’s Players Theatre.
My mom and I have been really enjoying the Lamb’s Players Theater musicals this year. “Respectfully Christmas” (like R E S P E C T find out what it means to me) was so good! The cast is crazy-talented. Not only are they great singers, but they also play multiple instruments and it’s just a joy to watch them perform together. The theater is very small and we always like to sit in the middle towards the front. But there’s really probably not a bad seat in the house (unless you’re really on the edges). The staff are all very nice and the theater is clean and kept up. Enjoy the toe-tapping jolly holiday fun! 🎄☃️🥁
Our first time at Lamb's Players was awesome. What a great little theater. Not a bad seat in the house. Performers were pros. Well done!
Very nice theater. The rows are steep so you don't have anyone blocking your view. Keeps the production fairly intimate, but the stairs are steep and the isles are tight. I saw some folks struggling to get up the theater stairs and if you need go move down and isle everybody must stand up to let you out. Plan on staying in your seat until intermission.
Wonderfully intimate venue, not a bad seat in the house. The lighting and sound is perfect and seats cushioned. I saw a performance of Million Dollar Quartet at the Lambs Players Theatre which was outstanding but the cabaret style venue made for a fully engaging show... I'll be back
The theater is remarkable and the play was fantastically exciting, I had the chance to see the Million Dollar Quartet, super talented artists with super competent staff. So happy about it

Beautiful beach. They maintain it very clean. Parking can be difficult, but worth the visit. Visited a few beaches in San Diego and I know technically this is not San Diego, but by far my favorite. Best part, you may see a fighter jet or 2.
It’s the cleanest, best dog beach in all of California. I’ve been to many, but few feel as magical as this place. The sunshine, the weather, and the friendly dogs make it truly special. Like any great spot, though, there can be some obstacles—so I’d recommend checking the water quality before heading out.
Amazing beach! We went on a Saturday around 5pm and it was still so open and free. Plenty of space and super clean! Watching the sunset here was definitely worth it! Tons of friendly dogs off leash and everyone is respectful! Also tons of cleaning stations to wash the sand off your feet! And clean your pups!
The dog beach was great except I was worried about my dog being in contaminated water... they said it wasn't. But... either way she had a ball! It has been a year since she she was at the beach and she took off like crazy once I let her off her leash and didn't stop!! She was in heaven! I was just a bit chilly.. being from AZ...72 is chilly! L9l ..
Happy dog, happy owner. The speech has a nice Sandy plateau for us to kick back and watch the dogs play to their hearts content. There are soft waves if you'd like to swim yourself but most of the people at the beach let their dogs do the swimming. On this particular day several people were stung by stingrays so study up and do what it takes to avoid their nasty barbs.
Love this dog beach! It's very safe, always friendly dog owners. I keep my greyhound on leash because she's a rescue, but I've never had any problems with the dogs off leash or their owners. I like that there's only one way in and the other end is fenced off.
Good weather good place.👍👍👍 It's a perfect place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the California coast, while also letting your dog have the time of their life. The sound of the waves and the sight of dogs playing is incredibly soothing. A great place to visit!"
I love to go to this dog beach. It never seems to be overcrowded and you have such a variety of dogs and humans! I take my Great Dane to this beach but I keep put on a leash because her size is so big that it will intimidate people. She is so funny. She hops the little waves. The beach is clean and people seem to pick up after their dog. A great place to visit with your dog if you want to have an enjoyable afternoon.

The office staff was very nice and made sure that I received what I needed for my insurance paperwork. The tech was very nice and explained everything and very thorough. What can I say about Dr. Mannen!! He is wonderful!! He answered all my questions and checked everything with a fine-tooth comb!! He knew all my history and made me feel very comfortable! You are in great hands with Dr. Mannen and his staff!! Pleasant and informative experience!! I would highly recommend!!!👏👏👏❤️❤️
I arrived an hour and a half early by mistake and was seen immediately. The receptionist and technician were amazingly polite and accommodating. My exam was handled with professionalism and care. The doctor reviewed my case with genuine concern and professionalism. My experience was outstanding in every respect. An A+++
The Office Staff was very quick to get me checked in and the technicians were very thorough and explained everything clearly. Doctor Mannen was great and went over everything!!! Thank you!
Parking is not so easy. The desk staff was great and the nurse that I checked me out really knows what she was doing. ( very knowledgable) Great to see Dr OD back she’s fantastic.
Dr. Mannon has been incredible to work with. He was extremely knowledgeable and helped me understand everything in Laymans term terms That was happening with my concerns. I highly recommend him and this practice!
I really liked Dr. Mennen! He did a really thorough job Evaluating my eyes! I had problems with my eyes due to really high blood sugar, which was unusual for me. He reassured me that my Vision was good!!
Dr. Manson is most communicative eye doctor ever. Explains everything well and I can’t recommend him highly enough.
I was extremely pleased with my visit with Dr Mannen. He listened to my concerns and asked pertinent questions regarding my issues. I would highly recommend this Doctor to anyone.

The Coronado Ferry Center is such a great place to soak in the beautiful waterfront views, watch the boats, and enjoy the sea breeze. It’s a peaceful, scenic spot with a mix of shops, restaurants, and plenty of benches to sit and take in the San Diego skyline. Whether you’re catching the ferry, grabbing a bite, or just strolling along the waterfront, it’s the perfect place to unwind. A must-visit when in Coronado!
I just visited San Diego at the Port of San Diego , I stopped in at the Old ferry which is a museum. There were lots of nice items to purchase. Even some little bottles of california gold that I bought to gift to my relatives . Anyway long story short , it was an amazing place to visit and I only wish I had more time to spend there. All items at the museum ferry were very reasonable , so I purchased a bunch of items to bring home. The whole area was really nice and parking was easy and reasonably priced. Definately worth visiting and I personally will be returning soon. 🙃
It's a good place to visit, we used both ferry & trolley tour. Lots to see, great ice cream parlour. Great views of San Diego and the bridge.
The scenery is beautiful, but the seaside pedestrian street is very short, and it takes less than 10 minutes to walk from beginning to end. The crowd density is relatively high and it is relatively clean.
Parked in downtown SD and took the ferry to Coronado. The ferry was a nice ride. The weather was incredible. Enjoyed a coffee by the Coronado landing. The ferry leaves every hour So need to rush.
Great views of downtown San Diego. Nice place just to sit and take it all in. Fine shopping and restaurant choices as well.
Had a great experience here. We were able to catch the ferry from this location to Coronado Island. We bought our tickets online. We did have a hard time finding exactly where to stand in line and wait for the ferry because there are several tours in the area, but we were able to figure it out before it was time to leave. It was a quick and easy way to get to the island without dealing with traffic.
Great view to take pictures with view of downtown. You could enjoy walking around as well

Nice little park in Coronado. Makes the perfect picnic spot with tables and plenty of large trees to provide shade. There is a playground and swings for children. They also have some of the cleanest bathroom facilities I have ever seen at a public park. There are nice artistic touches such as mosaic murals near the bathrooms and a sculpture in the little flower garden area.
What a lovely park! Friends took us to the park to listen to the Navy band in concert. There were children, parents, grandparents, friends, and couples, all enjoying the park and concert. It was a perfect night!!
Saw a great concert yesterday in the park . Great sunlight nice people clean bathrooms . Everything was wonderful .
Nice park with a lively atmosphere hosting free summer concerns, came across one while just walking by and it was a great time.
Beautiful park. Lots of shade. Bathrooms were very clean. Area for kids to play. Not dog friendly, which is unfortunate, but it also means you don't have to worry about stepping in dog poop anywhere. This is a great park to come for a picnic or to lay out on a blanket and read a book. I really appreciate that there are single occupancy gender inclusive bathrooms here. The sinks are outside the bathrooms. Lovely all around! This park is also across the street from the Coronado library. Environment: 5 Felt safe: 5 Cleanliness: 5 Shady area options: 5 Restroom availability: 5
Charming community park known for its spacious grassy areas, beautiful gazebo, and a variety of events, including summer concerts that are normally organized here. The park features a playground for kids and plenty of shaded spots for picnics. It is very well-maintained and perfect for family outings and relaxation.
Beautiful park in the middle of Coronado. Where small kids park their scooters and play while the parents watch closely. Clean well kept up restrooms. It's just a beautiful place
Awesome experience at Spreckels Park of Coronado Island! (11/10) This Independence Day kicked off with a beautifully sung straight-up classic rendition of our "Star Spangled Banner." Then "Ron's Garage Band" took over with a very well oiled, professional 1 hour performance -- stretched (because of very positive crowd reaction) to 2 hours -- of well drilled 60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's classic rock. They kicked off their 2 hour set Something north of 1,000 people of all ages attended -- the park was packed! At all times, 100 to 200 people were dancing on the lawn in front of the stage. The children's playground was packed with, wait for it, children and nary a screen in site! You can always understand when people are enjoying themselves, because they stayed!

This library is a little known San Diego gem. It has beautiful displays and murals and art featured in various parts of the library. The Wizard of Oz theme in the children's section is a nod to the fact that one of the books in the Oz series was written on Coronado Island. Extra perk—you don't have to live in Coronado to have a card. So grateful to have another library I can visit and from which to check out books.
What a great library! We stopped in during our time in town and found it well organized and comfortable! Easy to navigate and clearly marked stacks. Check out this gem!
Very good library, well-shaped, cozy interior. I've found there tons of interesting books especially biographies: Picasso, Beethoven, Monet etc. Rich collection of non-fiction, Israel, and Soviet Union. Highly recommended
Received a voicemail from a Sonja that there were markings in the children’s book that we returned and we needed to be “more careful” with the books. I called her back and said we did not do the markings and they were already there when we got home to read the book. She proceeded to say there was a name written in the book and asked me if I had a child by that name and I said no. She said she was not blaming, threatening us, but I told her she called assuming we had done it. She reiterated it was a courteous call to be more careful. Check your books before you leave or they will assume any “damage” was you!
Great library with helpful staff and nice displays! Internet, cozy spots to read, and nice kids and teens area with some cool gadgets in a tech room (call for availability/usage info).
Came for a book and got a library card to check it out. Front desk librarians were very accommodating and friendly. And the lady at the reference section was super helpful and was so excited to find a book for me, it was sweet and I greatly appreciated her enthusiasm. The library was cute and had a cool Dr. Seuss exhibit (although I do have conflicting feelings about that man, but that's another discussion for another day). Overall a great experience and am excited to come again! Ooooo almost forgot the library card is sooooo cute, I love it!
One of the better libraries in San Diego. Spacious, ample seating for everyone and anyone to sit down and study, honestly worth the visit. Parking can be a challenge (especially on weekends) but again, an exceptional location to sit down, read, or study.
We are very fortunate to have this this gem in our neighborhood. Well stocked , well staffed. and Hugh selections of Dvd's . Displays are always of interest. Keep up your good interests and work D Boney

Delightful small park with magnificent views! Walking path as well as popular biking path. Great views of San Diego Harbor as well as the Coronado Bridge. Great place to have a picnic!
Wonderful place to enjoy with family. Walking, running, cycling, sightseeing, and socializing—all in one place! 🤩 Different kinds of art make the park colorful. ⭐️⭐️ The Fourth of July fireworks at Centennial Park were absolutely stunning! The show was vibrant, well-timed, and lasted around 20 minutes with a breathtaking grand finale. The atmosphere was fun and family-friendly. Kids have a good time together Though parking was a bit crowded, so I will suggest go early or carpooling will be the best option. The overall experience was smooth and memorable. A fantastic way to celebrate—highly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
lobe this place to have a great time on the bay and has restaurants and badrooms, ferry is near by.
Good view of San Diego skyline. Place with restaurants and shops.
I’m photographer and I had an incredible experience at this place with a stunning city background and ocean views. The scenery was breathtaking, offering the perfect blend of urban and coastal beauty. It's an ideal spot for relaxation and taking in the picturesque surroundings. Highly recommend visiting especially in the evening
Centennial Park is gorgeous! Breathtaking views of downtown San Diego's skyline and the bay. It's a peaceful spot ideal for picnics, strolls, and watching sailboats. The park is well-maintained, with lush greenery and benches to relax on. Once you have fully enjoyed this part, walk around the shops, rent a bike and go to the other side facing the ocean.
Amazing place to view the beautiful lights of San Diego.
Beautiful area. We enjoyed delicious dinner at Costa Azul Mexican restaurant. Our waiter was excellent, friendly, and informed us about the area, including the ferry. Night pictures are from return ferry ride. Looking forward to returning.

This is a wonderful small non profit playhouse! The seats are set up Cabaret style, a lovely difference to the larger playhouses! Play was extremely well done! Loved Mountain n Song!
Terrible seating arrangement. Level floor with tables close together and 4 chairs to a table. If you’re unlucky enough to sit with your back to the stage, you have to turn your chair around and your knees are against the chairs at the table in front of you almost without anyone sitting in those chairs. And you have to turn backwards if you have a drink on your table. Viewing the stage is terrible because it’s not higher than the heads directly in front of you. Would definitely NOT recommend.
I’m so excited to be having my first opening night at CPH tonight! It has been a lovely rehearsal process where I feel valued and appreciated.
The Coronado Playhouse was such an incredible experience. Every member of the staff were helpful and friendly. The set up of the playhouse provided an intimate and comfortable experience for the audience. The production I saw of "All Bark! No Bite!" written by Kara Krantz was a fun, witty, and unique production that kept the audience immersed and laughing. The performers were fun to watch and filled with enthusiasm, especially the actress who played "Bella" who easily represented her character's personality. The Coronado Playhouse is a definite must visit for anyone in the San Diego area and nearby, and seeing the production of "All Bark! No Bite!" is a definite must see anywhere you are.
I've seen 3 plays at the Coronado Playhouse so far. The sets, the acting, the scripts were all good. The cost is about 1/4th that of the larger venues which is great. Refreshments are very reasonably priced too! The smaller venue of the Coronado Playhouse makes every seat a good seat. Easy to see and hear the actors. I highly recommend it!
Amazing production of "As you like it". The venue is small, no bad seats, drinks available. Free street parking.
I immensely enjoyed my night at the playhouse holiday cabaret. So did my 4 & 7 year old kids. Good solid family fun!!
6/28/25 Lovely location near the water, friendly folks working behind the scenes. Limited parking so come early.

I had an awesome visit at Sacred Heart. The dress code here is totally Island Style, sandals, shorts and summer dresses are the norm here. Wheelchair ♿ access.
A vibrant friendly Catholic community with lots of community outreach. Father Mike, Father Sheahan and the deacons lovingly serve their parish and are dedicated to listening to the needs of their people. Great fellowship after 730 and 9a Sunday Masses.
Sacred Heart Church is awesome! Very faithful, very good, and very beautiful church! Without doubt I strongly recommend going! Know our Savior Jesus loves you and have a great day!❤️✝️⚓️🕊️🙏⛪️😃
A beautiful traditional Catholic Church. Recently refreshed with a new parish hall. The pastor is very kind and easy to talk with. Both of my grandchildren attended the parish school which is across the street. Masses are well attended, so come early. Parking can be tough, so plan ahead. It is across the street from Spreckles Park.
I’ve been a couple of times as a guest of the church, parish and both times I was totally in awe of the presentation the music, the singing and the overall mass. Parishioners seem super nice, homilies were terrific… and the music! Highly recommend.
Good church. Has a 730am mass which is great for early risers. Great location to where you can go to church and stop by the town center to get a coffee and go walk the beach.
Love going to this church. The priests, especially Fr. Murphy and Sheehan will treat you like their family. Love the organ music and the Parish as well. Our kids enjoy going to the CRE at this church also.
Beautiful church and grounds. Especially liked the prayer garden which has a remarkable prayer space honoring fallen military and first responders, as well as a heartwarming prayer space for those that have lost children.

Great piece of our nation’s history! Chuck delivered a GREAT tour and shared many stories about his experiences which explained all parts of the memorial. Truly appreciate the staff for preserving our heritage, their sacrifice and service for our freedom.
Humbling, beautiful, and great memorial!❤️🇺🇸
A wonderful place to visit. Chuck the director of the memorial gave us an in depth overview of the site and the boats on display. It was amazing.
Cool to see if you have time.
Honor, prayers, respect, sacrifice. Never forgotten.
Cool, small place to visit if you have base access. A nice wall and 3 small ships.
I visited the memorial yesterday with some fellow veterans and we all found the experience very moving. The volunteers, mostly surviving Vietnam veterans or family members of the deceased soldiers, were most helpful in assisting people in finding the names on the wall. What I found most profound was the interaction of current military personnel with the veterans of past wars; this reminded me of how all veterans, no matter their branch of service or whether they fought in conflicts or protected America in peace time, are all brothers and sisters and share a bond that few civilians are able to understand. I highly recommend visiting the memorial while it is here in San Diego!
This is inside the naval base. Cannot enter unless you are currently serving, or ex serviceman, or had one with you. Disappointed as we were asked to return.
