I needed more time to explore, but the views were beautiful. The atmosphere was lively and not in a bad way. Plenty of shops to eat and get souvenirs at. Plus you get a good view of the beach there too. Take some time and spend a day there exploring! 😉
Such a fun environment. Stores and restaurants were open. I didn't know people hung out there at night. We got some yummy churros. Walked the pier and enjoyed hearing the live band. Beach was nice. Parking wasn't too far. However, restroom was nasty. Need constant cleaning.
I'm a frequent visitor to Redondo Beach Pier, often coming here on weekends, but my recent weekday visit was a game-changer! The pier was less crowded, and the best part was the absence of long lines for food - it was a breeze to grab a bite and enjoy the view. Parking was also a stress-free experience, which added to the overall relaxation. If you're looking for a more laid-back experience, I highly recommend visiting on a weekday. The pier is always beautiful, but the weekday charm is something special. Can't wait to come back!"
The Baseline: For a “Point of Interest” the area needs to stand out for what it is, be a safe/welcoming environment, show off why it is interesting, and be an experience you want to be a part of for the moment that you are there. Service: No real interaction with anyone maintaining the pier but the parking here is automated. The pier uses the ParkMobile app which lets you monitor you parking add add if you going over. I saw staff maintaining the public restroom area so the pier area is monitored. Selection: Lots of selection of restaurants to choose from here at the pier as well as some souvenir/knick-knack shops to make it fun. The restaurant choices range from seafood to Asian to Mexican to ice cream. Value: The range of prices for food and touristy trinkets run the gauntlet of how much you may wish to spend. The beach area is free but the parking isn’t. The ParkMobile app charges a 35 cent service fee no matter your time and 2 hours of parking cost me $4. The parking areas are monitored by staff and police in the area so it is a safe place to park and enjoy the pier.
We've been enjoying the Redondo Pier for many, many years. We've seen all of the updates and transformations over the years. This is a great place to enjoy with your family, friends, celebrations, etc. There's plenty of room for fishing, swimming, sunbathing, flying kites, and bike riding, and they even offer a large game room for those who enjoy the machines. It has a large multi parking structure with handicap parking. Swing by and enjoy the food and music 👍🏼
Love Redondo Beach. Beach area is better than people say, it's lively, good food, snacks and shops. The fish market is my favorite area. Fresh seafood not by expert chefs but worth the experience. I missed the arcade underground sorely
Redondo Beach Pier: a classic! This spot’s got that unique horseshoe shape that makes it feel like you’re walking into the ocean and back. I love looping the whole pier for a walk. easy route, good breeze, and always something random going on. You’ll catch fishermen, live music, little shops… It’s a little touristy but never feels too crowded if you’re just here for the views.
Best Pier in SoCal, It looks like Pier 39 at SF but smaller. There is live music in weekend (summer) Can watch the sun in sunset Easy access the pier from parking slot in Waterfront Parking Below ($2/hr)

Torrance County Beach is a hidden gem that offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The beach features beautiful, soft sand and stunning views of the ocean, making it a perfect spot for relaxation or a leisurely stroll. The atmosphere is peaceful, with fewer crowds compared to more popular beaches, allowing visitors to enjoy the natural beauty in a tranquil setting. The amenities are well-maintained, including clean restrooms and ample parking, which adds to the overall convenience. Whether you're looking to sunbathe, swim, or simply take in the breathtaking scenery, Torrance County Beach has something for everyone. The surrounding cliffs provide a picturesque backdrop, and the sunsets here are nothing short of spectacular. Wildlife enthusiasts will appreciate the chance to spot various birds and marine life, adding to the beach's charm. Additionally, there are nearby picnic areas that are perfect for family gatherings or a romantic outing. Overall, Torrance County Beach is an ideal destination for those seeking a quiet day by the sea. I highly recommend this beach to anyone looking to unwind and enjoy nature's beauty. I can't wait to return for another day of relaxation and fun!
A continuing stretch of sand beach that actually starts from the north end at Playa Del Rey in LA, thru the South Bay, all the way down to Torrance State Beach at the south end. I used to ride the long bike path that goes along these beaches about 3 times a week, locking my bike here and hiking up thru Malaga Cove, up to the Ranch Market for lunch and a health shake. Sometimes a quicker stop at the nearby Trader Joe’s in Redondo Beach, worked out just fine too! The surf here is moderate to rad and fairly clean with lots of lifeguards, except for down at the coves. The sand beaches here are kept clean, with plenty of trash containers. There’s also plenty of restroom access, with concrete ramps and steps from street level. I like the area here for the laid back, peaceful scene. Uncrowded, even on Sundays and holidays, tho beach lots towards the hill are small and fill up fast then. Parking free on the streets may be acceptable, if posted signs don’t show restrictions. Beach street parking along the Esplanade to the north is metered and checked frequently. There are also paid lots to the north at the Redondo Beach Parking and south at Torrance State Beach pay and display lots.
Torrance County Beach, is the end of the bike trail from Manhattan Beach, of course you can continue the bike path but it will no longer be along side the beach but on the Street which is cool but the sounds of the crashing waters, super tranquil and peaceful...
Nice beach, ungroomed though. Or at least not recently groomed. I found several pieces of broken glass, fortunately we didn't step on them. Lifeguard presence was quite evident.
Torrance is an awesome beach for all ages. You’ll need to walk down stairs or a steep ramp to access the sand, but if you can park close it’s not to big of a mission. There a bathrooms and freshwater showers on the beach for rinsing off after and a cantina for snacks/drinks.
Nice beach, glad to see it open up after pandemic. Many people out running, biking, walking, surfing (well in the water with their boards), and swimming. Saw a few dolphin, also!
Beach E Biking is the way to go for this beach. Got me down there in such a fun way too. Didn’t have to be super sweaty or hot and got there to enjoy the beach’s salty breeze. The beach was clean too. Not too many cars or people either. The bike paths were very easy to find as well. Getting on the bike path and off of the bike path was fun to do as well.
Be Careful coming over to chill in your car and watch the view. Hillbilly's like to fight with you and tell you where you can and cannot park because they need "privacy". It's America and public beach! I don't usually share many reviews but this needed a fair warning ⚠️

Awesome Place, Great For Kids, Wonderful Staff! Look, you are not going to get Sea World, but you will get some quality time with the family, and that is valuable.
Very nice display of local aquatic life, fish, etc. We had a great volunteer take us around for our tour. Outdoor exhibits were very interesting. Admission was only $5. You could even touch some of the fish.
Great for kids and the touch tank tours are really fun! Our toddler enjoyed the coloring area and the fish pool outside. It is small though, I wouldn't expect most people to spend more than an hour there (excluding the tour).
This is a great place to take grandparents with your kids. I took both of my girls and my parents here and had a great time feeling and touching the sea animals and plants. They are closing in June, so get out to see this place before its gone. :(
I didn't enjoy it that much. My 9 year old on the other hand really enjoyed it. It's not free they charge 5 dollars for adults children are free with the paying adult. This facility is going to be shutting down & closing to the public the end of June 2019.
This place is great for a small intimate touch tank tour and getting close with local marine life. If you want to visit, come in on a Saturday and have the opportunity to feed the fish (ask the front desk for more info)! They are closed during the week so if you come by and see an open door dont be fooled (like I was) they're are only open for school field trips.
This place is a little museum for children but not worth the price, They close at 4:00 pm on weekdays so it is impossible to get there after school and have time to explore. If you walk in at 3:45 they charge full price. On line I saw reviews that said it was free or cost $5. Their posted price was much higher. I can't remember how much but I was shocked. The exhibits do not explain educate well and the staff is uninterested in answering questions. I strongly advise you try the Cabrillo Martine Aquarium in San Pedro. You pay for parking, but the museum is free and has far more children friendly hours. It is (conservative guess) ten times the size, is highly instructive, has different age appropriate displays and an informed staff. They also have children's classes, adult lectures, summer camp, grunion runs, and much more. Yes, Free! There is no comparision
Great tour, very knowledgeable and fun guides

Nice shallow water areas for young swimmers. Few lifeguards on duty, patrolling the area as well. Slide and space for more skilled swimmers too.
Nice family friendly place. If you have little ones and want to enjoy a day at the beach without all the worries of going to the ocean this is the place. Supper kid friendly. You can bring in food, beach toys, chairs. You can reserve tables as well. Price is Fair
We've been going to seaside lagoon since the kids were really young. They keep it clean and they limit the amount of people who have access to the facility. It is great for little kids and it's a safe place to swim and get some cool breeze from the ocean. I don't know what they charge but it is nice because they have parking and easy access to the water.
I grew up there all my life it is the most beautiful area you could imagine so peaceful and beautiful. The whole surrounding regardless which way you turn and look!obviously it’s so intensely beautiful! I will continue going there wait for the tide to go down and sit on the rock 20 feet out about ankle high low tide and enjoy the serenity quietness and the wonderful people that you will come across and making friends! I do still surf that whole area depending where the surf is along the coast and if there is none the photos will find your place at our beautiful beach!
This is one place I have been disappointed with in Redondo. It’s way too congested but above all with dirty water. Nothing interesting unless if you want to see dirty water
The was a very nice "get away" spot for the day for the kids and all. It was ample amount of space to set up. There were also tables that can be reserved for parties and barbecues! Let's not forget to mention how keen the life guard staff was about safety. Their eyes were glued to every part of the lagoon. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would and it only cost $7 for kids and $9 for adults. Lastly, you can get parking ticket validated and pay no more that $6! I promise you'll really enjoy yourself.
This place is super cute for families with small children and makes introducing beaches two kids so much easier and safer.
Such a fun place to be a kid again, take a dip and soak up the sun. If hearing children’s squeals and laughter puts a smile on your face, this place will bring you joy. If you have children, this is a wonderful place to bring them. As much as we all know that kids should always be supervised in or near water, this lagoon is relatively shallow and just loads of fun.

LOVED THE WHOLE ENVIRONMENT. Went here randomly, parking spots for as less as $2 for an hour or so. Good parking spots. Amazing spot if you like walking, the beach was pretty clean. Volleyball courts around. The whole vibe was amazing !! You might find good amount of surfers as well. Very amazing spot for a nice evening out. Lot of stairs to access the beach. There are residential properties all along the beach. Look at the photos for more!! Would come back here !! Photos are taken on Sony A7IV.
Super nice park right by the beach. It has an older kids playground and a younger kids playground, and a workout area with some calisthenics exercises. Really nice, clean bathroom and a drinking fountain with a bottle filling station. Seems like there is almost always a breeze, so it never gets too hot. This is down the street from a relative’s house so it’s very convenient to visit almost every day.
Cool that it’s right by beach and park in same area and bathrooms readily available. Parking was affordable
I have the chance to visit malibu , Venice, sta Monica lovely places , But if you need a pacefull beach. Redondo it's your best option . Clean , Neat , cheaper parking ,
Beautiful beach below[Redondo Beach] to the left of the Redondo Beach Pier. The park was great for younger kids' spacious enough to enjoy bbq and activities without encroaching in someone else's space. Con-limited metered parking like almost all beach cities.
Really nice place to enjoy the ocean. We sat out and watched the sunset from a terrace above the beach.
I really LOVE Veterans Park in Redondo Beach. Parking is easy, it's close to the beach, Redondo Pier, it has a playground for kids of all ages, a great place for lunch, a first or last date... i It's a fun, relaxing, restful place to make memories, reflect on your life, etc.
A wonderful park by the ocean and Redondo Pier. Perfect for kids, with plenty of space to play. My son and I love coming here, especially at sunset—the views are absolutely breathtaking.

Such a lovely, quiet place to eat a packed lunch and get away from the hustle and bustle of the work week. The little stream and pond were relaxing to observe. Watched the turtles and fish in the pond as well as some little local critters while walking around in the rest of the park. Good amount of free parking. Nice to enjoy a park that's not geared towards sports and playgrounds - just a little bit of nature.
Tucked right in the middle of the city, this place feels like a hidden gem. The trails are peaceful, the greenery is lush, and it offers the perfect escape without needing to go far. It was the kind of day that fills your soul—good food, fresh air, and nature just a few minutes from the coast. Can’t ask for a better way to spend an afternoon.
Such an amazing beautiful park. My children love this. They even do birthday parties! There's turtles and fish in the pond and there's tons of walking space that kids love to roam around in. There's a bathroom (not a porta-potty, which is great). If you do a birthday party there they even have Park rangers that will help you during the day! They even have a place that you can plant your own garden but I'm not familiar with how you participate that program.
Hopkins Wilderness Park is a nice and peaceful area. At the entrance, there is a recreation center if you wish to enlist your children there or volunteer. There is about 3-5 picnic area all come with restrooms and a BBQ grill with 3-4 seating areas. Along the trail there is an outdoor stadium with seats that can accommodate many people. It's a nice stroll to have with the family, especially if they're into the outdoors. The main pond has turtles, fish, tadpoles, insects and many more. A good little place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city life and enjoy what God has created.
I love this place. As you walk through the gate, the bustle of the South Bay outside fades away to be replaced by the gentle rustle of the trees and twittering of birds. It is a great place for a walk or just to be able to find a shady spot and decompress for a moment. And great fun for the kiddos as well--whether they want to run around or climb a tree or watch the turtles in the pond (and there are plenty of restrooms around the park). Just note that they close at 4:30.
First time here today and we LOVED it! The park is big and so lush green with a lot of trees and some beautiful flowers. There is a pond right after you walk in with Koi fish, turtles, and ducks. There are a lot of tables and benches in all areas of the park where you can sit to rest or do a picnic. It was nice and quiet and peaceful at the park. I saw a few families with their little ones (including mine) enjoyed the stroll around the park. My daughter was having so much fun running up a small hill, hiking through some small bushes and flowers, and exploring throughout the park. We spotted some squirrels and beautiful birds. We spent about over an hour there and enjoyed it so much. Park is open every day (except Wednesdays) from 10AM-4:30PM Parking lot is on site in the front of the park. The lot is not that big yet not small. We got there at around 10am and there were still some spots left. This park has now become our favorite spot for the weekends for sure. Will definitely go back there again soon. Next time we planned on doing a picnic there 😊
There are lots of areas to walk. A small outdoor theater. Picnic areas with grills. But the best thing is the pond, with lots of turtles in it, and right now in April there are ducklings in the pond as well. Fun to sit and watch. But be careful where you sit, there are ants 🐜 everywhere.
It was our first time here when we came for a birthday party! We loved it! From the pond with the turtles and fish to the beautiful big trees! I noticed there was another party on the other side of the park. So possibly 3 areas to BBQ and relax. The park was kept very clean! Will definitely go back again soon!

Look no further for a church, this one is everything you'll need and more. I was a non-believer and was welcomed in with open arms. This will feel like a second home for you, as it is to many of us long time congregants. Can't make it to service? They stream messages on YouTube every week :)
I found a Church Family here in Redondo Beach through a dear friend!! Very NON JUDGEMENTAL, LOVING, WELCOMING, ACCEPTING, Christ Inspired Lead Pastor, Jossh Waggoner that leads a compassionate, gracious congregation. Who, in my humble opinion, is the embodiment of who Our Lord meant when He Spoke: 19 "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20 New International Version Peace be with each & every one of you & yours always...that are reading this. Come on by & check us out!! The music & Messages are Fantastic!! 😔🙋🕊️🙏🎶🎸🥁🎤🧏‍♀️☝️
I have been going to this church for almost 3 years now and I really consider these people to be my second family. I honestly have nothing but good things to say about SeaCoast church, not only has my faith developed but i've made amazing friends along way. If you're looking for a very ACCEPTING Christan chruch I highly recommend checking it out.
June, 30/2024 The Bible gives some "guidelines", on the manner how to solve 'believers deference'. At Seacoast Church of RB they were NOT followed!
We had a great visit here. bible preaching, contemporary worship, accommodating during construction. We are out of town, one time visitors, picked this place and its a winner!
I'm dealing with disability and unstable housing. I've gone a couple times for food and they have been immensely helpful with my case.
I love this place because everybody made me feel welcomed now I feel like part of the family very beautiful people thank God that I can go there with my friend Judy

The pool is great not a lot of people. It has 1 nice waterslide.
I like this park because I could watch the children play from my car on days when I can't deal to much with crowds. The pool is also very nice. Stores nearby for forgotten items from your picnic basket. Clean & safe.
Nice park picnic bench area near playground, baseball field, and a fun aquatic center the whole family can enjoy.
I had a pool party at Dominguez Park our family had a good time the lifeguards that work there was very helpful and respectful to my guest we had a good time
Had moms 80th birthday celebration here on May 11th 2024. The parking lot is very small and only has limited parking for baseball games and the general public visiting the park. There is some off street parking across from the park but crossing the main highway can be dangerous..There's enough space to unload in the fire lane and also enough room for at least 20 cars if they ever decide to upgrade the parking lot for events held there. At least 2 elders left the party cause they couldn't find parking close enough to walk with a walker. An event parking lot would benefit all who book events here in the future, they may be able to charge for parking during the event. The kitchen was fully stocked and clean, the bathrooms were close enough for all to use them with no problems. A few baseball players went to the bathroom and another walked into the kitchen asking for something. Other than that the event went as planned and Mom was happy on her Mother's day birthday celebration ...
It's a very nice community park. Fairly well maintained and fairly safe (before dark). It has a staff who organize and monitor park events. It also has a small public pool, which is open during warmer weather. It has several baseball/softball areas, tennis courts, basketball courts, picknick tables with grills, a sand box area with playground equipment. And a walking track around the perimeter with some pf it's own exercise equipment.
The City of Carson held an event for the homeless. It was wonderful. I got a haircut for free. They also offered showers and clothing to those in need. There were vendors assisting with legal, housing, both temporary and permanent and they offered a hot lunch. Hot dogs roasted on the BBQ.

South Bay Galleria is a solid go-to spot for shopping, dining, and family time. The layout is easy to navigate, and there’s a good mix of major retailers, smaller specialty shops, and plenty of food options. It’s clean, well-lit, and feels safe, which makes it a comfortable place to spend a few hours. We especially appreciated the family-friendly vibe—there’s something for everyone, from a quick coffee stop to catching a movie. Parking is usually pretty easy too. Whether you’re running errands or just looking to relax indoors, South Bay Galleria is a great local option.
Three-level mall with a variety of shops. Some areas are under renovation, but it’s still functional. Food court is average. Parking is plentiful. Good for a casual shopping day
Im a Teen and I love coming here with my friends. We do not shop. We just go to the roof, basement, and explore the back halls. Its easy for us to do because there is very little security. I actually love this mall for that. If you want to do any real shopping I would recommend going a little farther to Del Amo Mall
How does this place stay open? They have a dinosaur “fun area” for kids that looks completely dilapidated. It’s what I imagine The "Willy Wonka" event in Glasgow must have been like. If you enjoy being the only person in a mall and having the complete undivided attention of a few workers in the even fewer stores that are still open, then sure - this plays rocks.
Went on a week day afternoon. Was quiet. Some shops were closed. Went to Macy's and a vintage thrift shop that had amazing prices. All clothes at $9.99. Overall pleasant and relaxing.
South Bay Galleria combines historical elegance with modern entertainment. Its stunning glass ceiling fills the space with natural light, creating a captivating atmosphere. The diverse arcade options cater to both youth and adults, offering endless entertainment. Foodies will delight in the variety of culinary offerings available in the different food stores, satisfying every craving. The AMC cinema provides a cinematic experience with the latest blockbusters and state-of-the-art technology. Overall, South Bay Galleria is more than just a shopping destination—it's a vibrant hub of entertainment, dining, and cultural experiences, blending historical charm with contemporary amenities to appeal to locals and tourists alike.
Freshen up the place, add a coat of paint! Update the signs. There is no valet parking. Fix the elevators! It's a dying mall. There is no denying that. But the stores that are open are nice stores. Lots of good places to shop and places for the kids to play. The mall does need tlc more than anything
A nice guilty pleasure to sit at the bar before a movie, have a drink and order my dine in. Safe parking and family friendly. Such a cozy vibe, sometimes I' ll watch the same movie again 🤣😂.

Held Thursdays from 8 AM to 1 PM, this outdoor market sells produce, baked goods, plants & more.
Slide 1 of 8
Beautiful large market direct on the beach, from 8 am to 1 pm is the perfect place to buy food to bring with you to the beach or to bring home when you come back from the beach. I was used to go to Torrence market, but now I discovered Redondo Beach Market and Hermosa Beach Market I go only to these 2 as I really like more the vendors, the environment and the vibe.
One of the great parts about living in Redondo Beach is we have 2 great farmer's markets.. and this one right on the ocean in the veteran's park lot has a great vibe and a cool cast of characters. The vendors run down the small lot right on the ocean in front of the park and then up the main lot back toward Catalina. Parking is plentiful in the main structure or on the street. The selection here is very good for a relatively small market, and prices seem to be just about the same as Torrance. They have some good hot food vendors down toward the east end, and their are crafts and all the produce you could want. This market almost seems like a street fair or party and everyone is socializing and having a great time. Very well organized this location feels safe and secure.. and is generally not super crowded and insane to get in and out.. it is a more peaceful leisurely time where you can actually relax and enjoy yourself in the ocean breeze and support a great local market. Our favorite flower vendor is always here and the Mexican food is also great.. tamales rock.
Pretty nice market, lots of parking food, veggies & fruit vendors right next to the pier. Great view
Decent farmer’s market; the place that sells kettle corn is the best!! Great flavors and wonderfully sassy lady running it! Enjoyed her immensely. Signs say dogs not permitted, however, there were several dogs within the market boundaries.
They have some great vendors, some hot and ready food, some produce. I got a pastry from this Italian lady selling baked goods and it was excellent. Only reason I leave 4 and not 5 is that they don’t allow dogs in an outside market with ample room which is ridiculous. Says according to health guidelines but almost every other market I’ve been to has no issue.
Had an awesome time vending at the Farmers Market for our company, Kokomoos Coconut Mylk! From the moment I set up the booth, I felt supported by the other vendors, and everything ran smoothly.... huge thanks to Nancy, the market manager, for being so helpful and welcoming. The ocean breeze was amazing, but heads up for vendors: bring tent weights! One vendor’s booth got taken out by a surprise gust 😬 The crowd was fantastic.. friendly, curious, and loyal. A bunch of people have already become regulars, stopping by to say hi, share how much they love our products, and stock up for the week. It was also great introducing Kokomoos to people genuinely excited to try something new. Hope to be back soon! 🥥🌴
The Redondo Beach Thursday Farmers Market at Veteran Park is one of our favorites — close to the West Coast office. Small, but mighty, and the location could not be more beautiful: uber close to the ocean. Stock up in veggies, fruit, coffee, Italian cheeses and dips, plus fresh flowers and really good food from Tamales to Crêpes.
There’s nothing like fresh ocean breeze while shopping local businesses and farmers for fresh veggies, fruits, kettle corn, bbq, salsa, pickles, honey, juice, yogurt, pastries, flowers, plants galore... and so much more!

It was a fantastic experience for daughter at the Surf Camp this week! She has never formally taken a surf lesson, but has been asking for a chance to learn. This camp was perfect! All the staff was great at helping her understand and learn how to surf.
My 4 year old son had an amazing camp experience with BeachSports! He came home everyday saying how much fun he had being down at the beach and with all the different camp activities. The camp instructors were also very helpful and kept a great eye on the kids. Would definitely recommend this summer camp!
Great summer camp option in Manhattan Beach! We LOVE this camp and have been doing it for years.
Beach Sports was our favorite part of the Summer! We did two weeks and wish we could have done more. Our 4 year old was a first timer and she had an absolute blast. She loved all of her counselors at camp and could not wait to go back each day. I felt extremely comfortable dropping her off and loved how comfortable and safe she felt as well. She became very confident playing in the waves and learned invaluable water safety. We cannot wait for next year, thank you Beach Sports!
Simply put, BeachSports is simply the best - from every perspective. Most importantly, I've never had both of my boys say they actually *like* summer camp nor be excited to go to camp and both of these impossible feats were accomplished last summer. Every staff member with which I've interacted has been fantastic. All of the counselors are amazing with kids and are super skilled at making sure each child is getting a stellar experience. The admin staff is also fantastic and super communicative with emails being answered / actioned super quickly. I love how flexible the program is with multiple options from which my boys can select - even doing multiple sports / activities within the same week. And, frankly, I've not found a more competitively priced option that gives this level of service, from both a camper and parent perspective. Long story short, these guys are fantastic and if you're looking for a camp (both for summer and/or school year on holidays), you've found the best one around and should sign up now. You won't regret it!
We love Beach Sports camps. Our son and daughter have done Beach camp and Surf camp for several years now. They love the counselors every year. I love the ease and cooperation of drop off and pick up, as well as the flexibility as things come up. We highly recommend this over so many other camps out there that we have tried!
This year was our second year with BeachSports and it did not fail. It was beyond fantastic! Last year my daughter was 9 and joined the Surf Camp in Redondo Beach for the entire season and this year she did not consider any other option for her summer vacation. In addition in purchasing the all season pass for her, I enrolled my 4 year old for the entire season in Beach Camp also in Redondo Beach. I am not going to lie, I was hesitant to have my 4 year old every day for 8 hours, 5 days a week for 10 weeks on the beach. I was nervous for so many reasons. I emailed early in the year BeachSports with so many questions and more follow up questions, Lisa was so informative and understood my concerns due to his young age and I ended up signing him up. The coaches were fantastic with him, the texted when they felt they needed my input as to what to do or even to reassure me he was fine when we had difficult drop offs in the morning. My daughter Isabel now surfs and keeps talking about becoming a counselor in training in the future years for the camp. Absolutely a very positive experience for my kids. They did not wear anything by bathing suits and flip flops, slept like babies and eat tons of food all summer. I couldn't ask for a better summer experience! In reality, all coaches were beyond exceptional Coco, Paris, Jack, Brie, Julie, Jo, Shannon and Hailey to name the ones my kids couldnt stop talking about. We look forward to do it all over again next summer!
We’ve been going to this beach camp for the past three years, since my son was only 4yo. They’re very organized, efficient, and reliable. I love how they communicate everything, making sure that my son is safe and letting me know of any incidentes. The ratio kids/adult is the best around in the southbay. And, of course, the most important: they’re soooo fun! My kid absolutely loves it and we just keep adding an extra week every year!
